8 Days Later
"Finally Earth" mumbles a mysterious figure there feet finally touch down onto pavement.
"Now, Where am I?" they question to themselves as they begin to scan their surroundings wildly hoping for a glimpse of an indicator of something. They spot a sign and begin walking over too it.
"It has been much to long for me to be able to speak this planets language properly. There also becomes the problem that I did not lean to read their symbol structure system when i visited last time." As they finally reach the sign they turn around and are met with the sight of one of the planets inhabitants on a bike making their way down the road towards them.
"Excuse me."the figure speaks to the cyclist.
"What?" the cyclist responds coldly.
"I apologize. Is... this not how you introduce someone?" the figure asks confused.
"You are correct, why? what do you need?"
the cyclist asks wearily.
"Indeed, could you tell me which...mmh...quadrant that which we are located?" the figure asks questioning if they spoke the words right. The cyclist looks to the sign then at the figure then stares for a second.
"The sign is right there are you blind lady? Can you not read?" they ask with a snark.
"Yes that is correct" the mysterious figure now identified as a woman responds seriously. "I do not know what this "blind" means but indeed, I cannot read their symbols."
"Oh! uhm... im very sorry. Uh... you are currently in Seattle Washington." the cyclist responds feeling embarrassed.
"Much thanks human." the woman thanks gratefully and begins walking toward the looming city in the distance.
"Ok?" the biker responds very confused as they stare at the retreating woman's back for a few seconds then begin peddling off.
"It seems that I will have to lay low here for awhile" the woman thinks to herself.just then she begins to feel the adrenaline from escaping leaving her body as she stumbles mid step."What did they put into my body? My powers are gone again from the little that i had collected to aid in my escape. Without them my body can not flush this substance out and its more effective than it should be."
The mysterious woman slowly stumbles her way towards the city swaying the whole way there.
In A Bookstore in Seattle
Ding*
The sounds of a doorbell bounces around the inside of a small bookstore.
"Raechel"
"Raechelll"
"Rae-Rae"
"Raeeee...oh there you are. Raechel what are you doing?" They ask as they look over the counter to see a 20 year old woman with pale skin and long black hair to her shoulder blades. Wearing tight fitting black jeans a black hoodie and black canvas.
Why is she here? I think to myself. interrupting my very peaceful and quiet day. Did i mention quiet?. "Nothing" I respond anyways. Slowly I beging to get up from the laying position i was in behind the check out counter. "It feels really nice in here so I wanted to relax a little while the store is slow."
"Feels Nice!?" she asks exasperated. "Its freezing cold in here, how do you not feel it?" I turn to look at her and see she is slightly shaking aa she rubs her hands along her arms trying in vain to gain warmth. I slowly turn to the thermostat. "Shit." I mumble. Its 50F in here. I sigh as i remember temperature has no effect on me and reach out with my powers to turn up the heat.
"Sorry" I finally respond. "Half Demon remember?" I finally take notice of what she looks like. She's wearing tight shorts that stop just above the knees a large red flannel and her usually long wavy pink hair is situated in a lose bun that just screams it was done halfheartedly. I internally snort this woman will not stop dressing in this weird fashion style no matter how much i tease her for it or her girlfriend begs her to buy other clothes. My thoughts were soon interrupted as the tv which is usually silent started blaring an Emergency Broadcast.
"Breaking News." The female newscaster starts. "This just in Superhero group the Titans are currently in battle with the Villain group the H.I.V.E. on the outskirts of the City of Seattle. Citizens of Seattle if you are anywhere in or near the area surrounding Lincoln Park I strongly advise that you evacuate immediately. Again i repeat leave the area immediately."
The T.V. soon cuts off as i quickly remove the remote from my best friends clutches and turn off the device. I sigh as i can already feel a headache coming on.
"Shit" she exclaims. "Doesn't that mean that Changeling is in town right now?"
"Yes Jinx my shitty ex who cheated on me is in town" I respond slightly annoyed.
Of course im still a little upset about that. My first ever relationship and I walk in on him and Terra having sex in the common room of the Titan Tower. I always knew deep down he still had feeling for the earth controlling girl. I always thought that I would be enough to make him forget about his feeling for her and move on. I was wrong. The break up was nasty. One of the many reasons i left the titans and quit being a superhero at only 16. He even had the gall to say that it was my fault. "Raven I am a man. I have needs. And you were not helping with those needs so I found someone who could help. You only have yourself to blame. It isn't even that big a deal really." In hindsight from watching Casey and Sam i now know i never loved him that way. But that still doesn't diminish the pain. He knew. Knew that i could accidentally form a freaking MAT-
"RAVEN" I am startled from my internal tirade with a slight jump. "Where did you go girl? Where you even listening?" she asks.
"No" i respond truthfully. "Also don't call me by that name you know i don't go by it anymore."
"Well you called me by My old name when you know my real name is Cassandra sooo..." Casey trails off. "Anyways... back to my question. What are you gonna do?"
"Do?" I question.
"Yeah y'know.. about Garfield?" she pauses. "The Titans?" I look at her wondering what she is talking about. Afl few seconds pass as i sit waiting for her to elaborate.
"What do you mean?" I ask fed up with waiting for her to continue speaking. Wait... She couldn't possibly be asking... No she knows what they all did to me.
"You don't want to talk to them? you guys were very close one upon a time?" she says weirdly. Due to my empath abilities I am able to pick up all living creatures emotions. Right now I fell that she is uncomfortable, she feels pity for me, sadness and is that anger? Even with my powers under control much better nowadays and me being around people for the last 4 years emotions are still very weird to me. Her feelings confuse me greatly but I do not call her out on it.
"While it is true me and my former team were close you and Sam much closer to me than they ever were." I respond hiding my confusion. Happiness and... Relief? Weird. Memories start to flash through my mind flashes or arguments' sides being taken amd switched, and all the pain caused untill i finally just left. "I hold no more anger, or grudge with any of them. The pain i carry they can do nothing to fix it so there is no reason to see them or talk to them. Even if i wanted to I will never be able to trust them again nor do I even want them in my life. That chapter of my life is closed now." I answer truthfully. Truly i have no qualm nor wish to see any of them. "I am satisfied with my current life."
"Yes, but are you happy?" she asks locking me dead center with a searching stare. As i was about to respond I am interrupted by the doorbell ringing throughout the bookstore.
A/N
Raven is referred to as Raechel she has left the Titans 4 years ago at the age of 16 making her 20. Blackfire is also 20 years old. Jinx's real name is Cassandra Kim 22 years old. Sam as name dropped in this chapter is Casey(Cassandra yes i know its weird i like the name casey though)'s longtime girlfriend and she is 21. More will be revealed as we go along. i plan on tweaking how Blackfire and Raven abilities work exactly.
As you can read in the description i want more writers to write more about this pairing this is the one pairing that is almost no existent. This ia my first time ever writing a story like at all and its very challenging but i like it so stick with me and we will se how far we go. I have many ideas for stories not involving this pairing but different shows and different pairings. So yeah just wanted to get my frustration out a little bit and rant. But much love X.
