"I think it went well"

"Yeah, you could say that."

"Well, you were having equal points, so point taken you and Clint, you both are the best!" Felicity smiled. Oliver gave her back a tiny little smile.

Well, it was enough for her. Knowing how Oliver was and how rarely he smiled, it was more than enough.

They were in this Italian restaurant that Felicity loved. It was nice and calm, it wasn't like in Starling City, always people watching you, pointing at you and talking about you. Felicity didn't judge, she understood. Starling was small city compared with New York and everyone there knew their most famous people. In New York however, nobody cared.

Of course if Tony was there, everyone would be looking at them. But he wasn't. They were just Oliver and Felicity, just two ordinary people dining in this great restaurant, enjoying their meal.

"You look amazing tonight by the way" Oliver complimented.

She was looking great, she could admit that. She wore one of her favorite dresses and had her hair straightened and her contacts. She had put some make up on. On the other hand, Oliver was more than handsome. Well, it wasn't like a new thing for her. She was always stunned by his body, but tonight he was in a suit. Don't get her wrong, she had saw him in suit million times but she couldn't just get enough.

"Well, thank you. I can say the same thing to you" she smiled. And then she remembered what se was working on with her father. The thing didn't just popped in her head. Well, it did, but she thought about it a lot. She never really hidden something from Oliver (besides, of course who her father was) and she felt awful. Maybe Oliver noticed that.

"Felicity, what's wrong?" he asked.

"Well, I want to tell you something. But I'm not sure if I can." This just made Oliver looked more concerned. "You know, my father asked us to come here so I could help him. The thing that I am helping him with concerns me a little, but there is another thing. He asked me to not tell the team about it. I mean the Avengers." Felicity stopped for a while "maybe I shouldn't tell you, too, but I, um, I kind of get used to sharing things with you and not keep a secret." She blushed again, for like 100th time this night.

"Hey, hey, Felicity! You can tell me everything and I promise if you want to keep it a secret I would keep it." Oliver said as he reached out for her hand "But, if you had promised your father that you would keep a secret I would understand. And whatever it is I think you will manage perfectly so I can't see why you are nervous. You are the most intelligent person I have ever met!"

Well, Felicity didn't know what to say so she just smiled. And this was a perfect time for their waiter to come and ask if they wanted something for drink. Oliver ordered for him a glass of scotch and for her wine. He knew her and what she liked but right now she was so nervous that she thought she could manage a whole bottle and maybe it won't still be enough.

The waiter came back a little after and gave them their drinks and a menu which Felicity politely decline.

"Thank you but I think we would manage without a menu. Oliver, if you give me a chance?" Oliver just smiled and gave her a sign to continue. She ordered her favorite bruschetta, pasta and two slices of chocolate cake. "Oh and the Chef's pizza, please."

"Don't you think that is a little too much Felicity?" Oliver asked laughing as the waiter left.

"Oh, no, I am really hungry. You know how I need my food when I use too much my brain. I actually think this wouldn't be enough, actually!" she said concerned. Oliver just laughed. And like that they fall in an easy and pleasant conversation.

As soon as they finished the dessert and Felicity was on her third glass of wine Oliver's face became a little bit more serious.

"You know, I wanted to tell you something too" he said with his serious face. "The five years that I was away, I wasn't always on Lian Yu."

"Well, I can't say that I didn't suspect that. Where were you?" Felicity asked

"Hong Kong. For one. And I have been thinking a lot, recently, about my time there. The choices I had to make."

"Well, that sounds as if the time you spend there was shit." Felicity said, trying to crack things a little bit. Oliver's lips curled up for a second. Well, Felicity counted that as a win.

"The entire time that I was gone, I could never really trust someone.. and with that going on for so long you stop seeing people for people.. you see threats, or targets." He stopped for a little. "and when I decided to come home, I just didn't know how to turn that part of me off. But then I walked into your office. You were the first person I could see as a person" That made them both smile. Felicity could sense the tears forming up in her eyes but she fought them hard, so Oliver couldn't see them. "There was just something about you!"

"Yeah," Felicity looked at the table "I was chewing on a pen!" she said embarrassed.

"And it was red" they both laughed.

When Oliver paid the check (after 6 or 7 minutes of arguing with Felicity if he should pay it or they should separate it) they finally got out of the restaurant. Avengers tower wasn't that near but Felicity offered they should have a walk.

It was one of the biggest mistakes she had ever made in her life.

"You know, I think even signing up with team Arrow or that creep Oliver Queen wasn't as bad as this pain" she said and they both laughed.

"Well, I don't think it's that bad. Saving people I mean. As for Oliver Queen, yes, he is totally crazy" Oliver answered but he felt her arm slipping away from his, so he immediately stopped and turned to see what was going on.

She was removing her shoes. That was happening. Oliver smiled at her as she got up, took her shoes with one hand and started to walk barefoot.

Few days had passed. Felicity, Tony and Bruce was basically sleeping in the lab. Tony did the thinking, Bruce did the math and Felicity was working with Jarvis, exploring new ways of getting what they wanted because every time they taught they were getting close all screens turned into red and a message FAILED.

Tony was sitting on the floor, reading something while Bruce and Felicity were talking about the model that Jarvis was built on and then they heard a knock on the door. The lab's walls were glass and everything could be seen from the outside but someone had knocked.

Everyone looked at the door and saw Oliver standing there carrying a bag. Tony looked at Felicity, which already had turned red and then gestured Oliver to come inside.

"Hey, uh" Oliver said, "I am sorry to interrupt but I am bringing food, because more than 10 hours had passed since you have eaten. And Felicity, may I talk with you for a moment?"

"Yes, yes, of course" she said as she walked through him.

"Wait, wait, wait, not so fast!" Tony said as he got up from the floor "First you give us the food" he took the food from the archer and smiled.

Felicity was really grateful for Oliver. Ever since their date Oliver had bring them food and coffee and sometimes water, because they were drinking too much coffee. He was taking care of them, without asking questions, which was the important thing.

They didn't have any time to see after the date but whenever he went to the lab he had smiled to Felicity, which was enough for her.

"What's going on? Everything alright, I mean, have the team done something inappropriate?" Felicity said concerned. Since the so called "duel" she was texting Digg to find out if the team had been good to them.

"No, nothing happened" he smiled "It's Lyla. She is in a hospital and the doctors think she will give birth any time now. So Digg is going to go back to Starling and I was thinking to go with him and then get back to New York the day of the party. Is that okay?

"Oh my God! Yes, yes, of course, I ugh, I want to come too, but I can't just leave them since we are making a progress."

"No one would judge Felicity. I would go with him and then will be back, but I think I will be alone."

"Yes, okay, give Lyla a kiss, and the baby too, and get some pictures and send them and make sure everything is alright, and then come back because my father would be pissed I think and then we would both get back to Starling and.." she said in one breath

"Fe-li-ci-ty.. Take a deep breath!" She obeyed. He cupped her face "everything would be alright, you just stay here and I'll be back before you even know it. But in the meantimes I want you to promise me that everytime I text you, you will get something to eat." Felicity nodded. "Okay"

He then kissed her. Not passionately, just a small kiss. And when he let go of her they heard a knock from inside the lab. It was her dad, watching them.

"I think I should go back" they both laughed. "You promised me pictures!" she said as she slid back in the lab and with the final glimpse she waved at him.

"Is he going somewhere?" Bruce asked

"Yeah, they are going back to Starling, Digg's wife is going to give a birth anytime soon."

The party had already begun. There were a lot of people, an of course 90% of the people Oliver didn't know. He saw Natasha talking to a man, who he remembered as the War Machine, one of Tony's best friends, Thor was sitting on one of the sofas, talking to some men that were over 80 years and he guessed that may be friends of the Captain, Barton was talking to dr. Cho, Steve played pool with a man that Oliver knew from somewhere but he couldn't tell where from. He searched for Felicity but he couldn't find her.

A few minutes later he saw Tony and Thor talking to colonel Rhodes. He got close to them and listened to the story the War Machine was telling.

"So, you know the suit can take weight, right? So I take the tank, fly it right to the general's place, drop it and said 'Boom, you looking for this?'" he said and then waited for their reaction.

But there was no reaction Thor and Tony had this plain faces, waiting for more, but there was no more of the story. Oliver didn't do anything too, just smiled to the reaction of the genius and the demigod.

"Why do I even talk to you guys, look, this guy is smiling. I'm James Rhodes" and he smiled. Tony and Thor turned and saw him.

"Oliver Queen, a pleasure meeting you!" Oliver said and they shook their hands.

"Oh, Rhodey, this is Oliver, Felicity's boyfriend." Tony said and smiled. Oliver blushed, and to be honest it was the first time in years that the man felt this way. Rhodey's smile disappeared.

"You know, I am practically Felicity's only uncle, so I'm not going to threaten you, but I'll have something in mind. Oh and speaking of the devil here she is.." Rhodey smiled and the other men turned to look at her.

She was stunning. She was really pretty, with her long black dress and her hair dropping down her shoulder. She was with her lenses and had make up and she had put high heels and she was almost as tall as Rhodey.

She hugged him first, then kissed her father cheeks, smiled to Thor and then went to Oliver and hugged him tight.

"I'm really happy to see you've made it. How is Digg, and Lyla and the little one?" she said smiling.

"They are fine, everything is okay" Oliver smiled as he lied. He fought really hard to not show his tears.

Sara was dead and he didn't want to tell Felicity tonight. Well, maybe after the party he would tell her, but not right now.

"Okay, I'm really happy. So what about Pep dad. Isn't she coming?" he shook his head.

"And what about Jane?" Rhodey asked Thor.

"Well, I'm not quite sure in which country Jane even is"

And then Tony and Thor started talking about which girlfriend was better. Felicity and Oliver excused themselves and ran away and bombed into Steve and the Captain's partner from earlier.

"Hey guys! Sam, it's really nice to meet you, finally. I've heard about you. I'm Felicity." She smiled.

"Hey, you're Felicity? Well I think I've might have heard a thing or two about you too. The pleasure is mine" he smiled and then he looked at Oliver. Oliver noticed that when Sam saw him and Felicity holding hand his smile faded. "Sam, nice to meet you"

"Oliver, nice to meet you too." They shook hands and then it became awkward.

"You look pretty, Felicity!" Steve said then, making the whole situation even more awkward.

"Thank you very much Steve." She smiled and the she and Oliver continued walking hand in hand. "Sorry about that, it was a little awkward."

"Well, I've never imagined being with you and trying to get the Avengers to like me would be anything but awkward." He smiled at her and then kissed her. It was good, kissing her, forgetting about other problems. Just him and her. Together.

When the party was over they were gathered in the living room, eating Chinese. Clint was talking something to Thor, Nat and Bruce were talking quietly but Felicity could see the agent flirting with him. Her father, her uncle, Steve and Maria Hill were there too. She was snuggled in Oliver's arms and couldn't miss how Steve was watching them from time to time.

They had been talking about Thor's hammer and how nobody would be able to lift it. First it was Clit, and as anyone could guess, he failed. Then her dad and Rhodey and what happened? They failed, miserably. Then it was Bruce who tried to be funny, but with no luck. Steve tried and then it was Oliver's turn.

He went over the table and grab the hammer. He tried to lift it but with no luck. He tried again and the hammer moved just an inch. Thor's smile faded but when the third time Oliver tried he failed Thor smiled again.

"Natasha, Felicity, please" Tony said.

They both shook their heads. Nope, it was not happening. Not ever. Then Thor got up and lifted it.

"Well, you're not just worthy!" he laughed and literally everyone had their eyes rolled.

Something happened. There was this noise and then one .. thing, because Felicity didn't know what was this (it was like a child tried to put together a costume of the Iron Legion but miserably failed) had entered the floor.

"Worthy" she taught she heart it saying. Everyone looked at it. "how could you be worthy? You're all killers."

"Dad?" Felicity said scary. She taught she knew what this thing was and she hoped she was wrong. Oliver hugged her to protect her. She felt warm but she was still really scared.

"Jarvis?" Tony said and there was no answer. Then he checked his phone and there was nothing there.

"I'm sorry, I was asleep. Or I was in a dream. There was this terrible noise. I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy."

"You killed someone?" Steve asked.

"Wouldn't be my first choice but in the real world we should face some ugly choices."

"Who sent you?" this time Thor asked

And then this thing started playing a record of her dad and their conversation with her and Bruce about Ultron. She was right. This was Ultron. And they had created a monster.
