Emily and Aaron are walking thought the white house halls when one of the white house inturns walks up to them. "Hey, Emily, I have been requested to have you get these from the basement."

" Today nobody down there who requested this"

". I don't know it was on my office desk". the inturn walks away. "

You're not really gonna go down there are you." Aaron asked

" Yeah, why wouldn't I?" She starts to walk and Aaron runs up. "Because you don't even know who requested this"

". Aaron this is the safest place im sure ill be fine tho. But I see you're still worried about me "she said walking away(teasing him about being worried about Michigan.)

"Yeah that's cause I love you, he says under his breath. Emily goes into the basement and starts to look for the files when she starts to smell smoke. She tries to run to the top of the stairs but somehow the door got locked. The fire alarms start going off on the upstairs. The secret service wisp in and take the president. Aaron and Seth are together. "Yo, have you seen Emily?"

" No, she was doing some filing thing she should be outside already." Seth and Aaron walk outside. Seth looks around "you sure about that filling thing"

". Son of a bitch." he runs back towered the white house. "We can't let you back in there until it is clear Aaron, mike says.

"mike im going back in there."

" No your not."

" Mike if you stop me I will find a different way in and I promise you it won't be as safe." Mike lets him though. Throwing his suit coat off behind him. He sees the flames coming up the walls which means the fair was started on the lowest floor. The basement. Shit shit shit. He runs through the halls dodging falling ceiling and flames. He gets to the basement door and tried to open it. Emily hears him trying but don't know who it is. "Hello, help somebody is somebody there."

" Emily, it's me open the door."

" Aaron. Is that you."

" Yeah now open the door we don't have much time."

" I can't it's locked just go."

" Go are you kidding me Emily no back away from the door." Emily runs down the stairs and stands at the bottom. Aaron backs up and kicks the door down. "Emily." He runs down the stair embracing her in a hug. She starts coughing and collapses in his arm. "Crap" he releases her and starts unbuttoning his shirt.

"No no Aaron im fine really." "

"No your not." He takes his shirt off and hands it to Emily." Keep that over your face and come here." Emily takes the shirt and stands up but she doesn't put it over her face. "Emily I mean it put it over your face". Emily sighs and puts it over her face Aaron props her body using her arm over his shoulder and walks up the stairs "come on Emily we don't have a lot of time." He starts running pulling Emily behind" him holding onto her hand as hard as he can. Right as the reach the door he knows what h has to do. "Emily."

" Yeah, Aaron."

" I love you."

" Wait for what. Aaron pushes Emily out the door as the building collapses. "Oh my god, Aaron thank yo… what weres Aaron." She looks at the white house fallen. "No no-no-no. mike you need to get in there Aaron is still in there"

"There is nothing we can do he went in there voluntarily."

" mIke trust me that he just saved my life. If you don't go in there will and you will probably have to lives lost because I have no idea how to save people you do." Mike sighs and runs int the side.

"hey, Emily are you ok" seth greats her.

"Yeah," they hug for a second and then sit down. Seth points to Aarons's shirt in Emily's hand.

"Why do you have that"

" gave it to me to protect my face?"

" Classic Aaron."

" Yeah and now he might be dead because of me."

"Im, sure he wouldn't have wanted it the other way around."

" I was behind him."

" wait what then how did you get out."

" He pushed me in front of him…" seth sigh. "Right after he told me he loved me."

" Wow."

" yeah and know I might never be able to tell him how I feel."

" Emily you don't have to tell him I bet you he already knows it. I mean the whole staff does, you can't feel guilty about this."

" Yes, I can Seth he went back in there to get me. He told me not to go into that basement alone with nobody down there. And know he might be dead because of it." for about an hour everybody is sure Aaron and mike didn't make it."

Emily, You know why Aaron when in there. because he knew if you died in there he would not be able to forgive himself for not telling how he feels."

" Well, know I won't be able to forgive my self for not telling him how I feel." Seth looks up.

"Well knows your chance." Emily looks up and sees mike and Aaron walking out with Aaron in a coronel hoodie. Emily jumps up dropping Aarons shirt. Crying.

"Aaron" she ran into his arm. "You don't know how scared I was."

" Emily, I had to get you out of there so."

" Don't ever do that again to me" everyone just kinda stood back as they talked. Tom walked up to Seth looking and Emily and Aaron still holding on tight to each other.

" I wonder if they told each other yet."

" Told each other what sir."

" That they love each other. Everyone knows it."

" He has sir I don't know about her." Tom chuckles and sits next to Seth."

Emily about what I said."

" Don't say anything. I love you too. Aaron, I do I love you so so much." Aaron smiles and gives her aa kiss on the side of her forehead, he tries to pull. she squeezes harder "not yet." He smiles and wraps his arms around her waist and squeezes her close.

"I'll never let go. Im always here whenever you need me." Emily just tucks her face into his shoulder. And pulls away whipping away tears. Aaron reaches to her face whipping away tears. "Why are you crying im hear we both are fine."

" I know that's why im crying." Emily said laughing through the tears

" You're so sweet." He tries to pull her face in. but she puts her hand on his chest.

" It's not very professional. "He smiles at her and looks her in the professional way he could. "I almost lost you." She relaxes her hand and allows him to pull her in. it was a short kiss. But sweet when they pull away they rest their foreheads against each other. To be honest they both blocked out the sounds around them but when they started hearing again they hear clapping and someone yelling finally. They laugh and go sit down next to Seth wait for clearance to leave. Aaron reaches over and grabs Emily's hand for reinsurance. She rests her head on hid shoulder and they sit there for hours. Perfectly fine because they now know that they have each other. "Aaron can I ask you a question."

" What's up."

" Why did you tell me then?"

" Because if im being honest I was going to ask you to dinner tomorrow and tell you there but didn't think I was going to make it."

" How did you guys make it?"

" Well, I almost didn't but mike found me just in, the east wing wasn't touched. That's where I got this. And then we left and then all that happened." They got cleared to leave and Aaron brought Emily home. He walked her up to her apartment. They sat on the couch for a little bit watching the news. Emily fell on Aarons's shoulder. He picks her up and carries her to her room. She had already changed into clean clothes so he just covered her up and gave her a kiss on the forehead. As he turns away he feels Emily grab his hand. He turns around to see Emily staring up at him.

"Stay, please."

"Emily I really probably should…"

" you saved my life the least I could do is let you spend the night" Aaron smiled.

"Ok, whatever you say." He takes off his coat and Emily flings the blanket next to her up patting the bed. He claims in and puts his arm out for her to lie in. she turns over and places her head in his chest. "Goodnight Emily", he says as he kisses her of the forehead.

"Goodnight Aaron." Emily liked this they didn't need to be physical. They knew how they felt and nothing was gonna change that. Emily wakes up, with Aaron in her bed. She figures he ended up leaving after she fell asleep. But she looks at the chair where he put his coat and it's still climbing out of bed and walks into the kitchen. Aaron is sitting on the couch with the news on. He looks "hey how'd you sleep."

" Im mean with you next tome it was pretty nice."

" Yeah." Emily sits down next to him.

"So what's the word on work."

" No work today we go back on Monday."

" So everybody on the east wing."

" Yep."

"fun." Emily says standing up, "coffee?" she says turning toward Aaron.

"Yeah, thanks." Emily walks into the kitchen. "I can't believe what happened to us yesterday."

" Do you mean when right before you though me out of a burning building you told me you loved me making me think that I had lost you forever or when you kissed me in front of the entire white house staff and some total strangers?"

" A little bit of both" he chuckles. He grabs Emily from behind and gives her a kiss on the cheek. hand him his coffee and walked over to the table.
