Aaron pressed send before walking over to his kitchen counter. He opened a small orange bottle and poured a handful of pills out of it. He took a big glass of water and swallowed all of them. He sat down at his kitchen table and waited for the inevitable.

When Emily got Aarons text he knew something was wrong. She left the white house without even asking. She drove faster than she had ever. When she pulled up to Aaron's apartment. She ran up to his door. She found it locked. She remembered a small conversation they had during one of their late-night talks when he told her he always keeps an extra under his door mate. When she opened the door she saw Aaron lying there, and saw the bottle on the counter. "Oh my god no Aaron Aaron no." she ran over dropping to her knees. She felt for a pulse. She felt a small pulse but he didn't have much time. She pulled her phone out balling and shaking. " hello I'm Emily Rhodes chief of staff to the president and we have an overdose at 134 beckers rd apartment 46 b you need to hurry he isn't going to make it much longer." Emily hung up the phone pulling Aarons head onto her knees. "Stay with me Aaron please stay with me. I love you too I can't do this without you stay with me.`` Emily broke down and she ran her hand through his hair. Emily heard the ambulance and then saw the paramedics. "Please you need to help him."

When Emily got to the hospital she had to wait in the waiting room. "Emily." She looked up and saw Seth running into the hospital. Emily stood up and ran to him. He wrapped his arms around her as she cried when the doctor came out. They all looked at him.
"He is stable but he is still asleep and we don't know for how long so we want to keep it to one person at a time." Emily looked at Seth who nodded at her to go. She walked into Aaron's room and saw him sitting there with an oxygen tube. She sat next to him and put her head in her hands. She can't help but blame herself for this. All of it.
It had been two days since Aaron was sent to the hospital and he still had not woken up. Emily had not left the hospital except when Seth forced her to change her clothes. Emily was asleep on the cair in his room when he woke up. He looked over and saw the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his eyes on asleep on the chair. He saw her eyes flutter a little then open landing right on his. "Oh my god you awake,'' Emily said, shooting up and running toward his bed. She sat down next to him and grabbed his hand. "I'm so glad you're ok."
"Yeah me too I regretted it the second I did it" Aaron said squeezing her hand a little. "I meant it Emily. That I love you, I do. I love you so much."
Emily placed her hand on his cheek " I know I love you too but right now you need to focus on getting better ok." Aaron nodded before pulling her in for a kiss.
