Emily was sitting in her office thinking. She found herself doing that a lot lately. She wanted to tell her self that she truly wanted to be with Seth. But she knew if the very back of her mind she was just protecting herself for someone who could hurt her. She was pulled out of her thought by Aaron knocking on her door. "Aaron hey what's up," she said opening another file.

"I just talked to seth," he said awkwardly stuffing his hands into his pockets. Emily knee what that meant

"I'm sorry," she whispered looking down at her hands.

"You don't have to apologize Em," he said still standing in the door she simply nodded not looking up. "Can I just ask you a question?" he said walking into her office

"Sure," she said looking up at him

"Why," he asked

"What," she said standing up walking towards him

"Why are you with him," he said cause if her to become slightly angry

"I don't think I own you an explanation," she said raising her voice slightly.

"No, but I would like one," he said matching her level

"I'm not doing this." Emily expressed turning around laughing in disbelief.

"No Emily why can you get Seth a chance but not me," Aaron said know fully yelling.

"Because you scare me Aaron" Emily yelled turning around which is when Aaron noticed the tears on her cheeks.

"Wait- what do you mean I scare you, Emily," Aaron said calming his voice down but still confused.

"Being with you scares me" Emily said sinking into her chair barring her face into her hands.

"Why," Aaron asked sitting across from her.

"It's a long story," Emily said looking down at her hands

"I have time," Aaron said truly wanting to know what scares he so much.

"Umm… my father left my mom when I was 3 and I never knew why until I asked my mom when I was 15. She told me he met a girl in a bar and they had an affair until he noticed he loved her more than us so he left." Emily said closing her eyes to stop himself from crying again. " and that broke my mom. So I promised my self I would never be with anyone who could break me like that." Emily finished looking at her hands

"Emily that is awful but I'm not like your dad you do know that right" Aaron said leaning forward

"That's just the thing Aaron you are just like him. You are so hardworking you are such a good guy but you remind me of him. From what my mom tells me when my dad walked into a bar everybody looked at him and Aaron you don't think I see how women look at you when we all go for drinks." Emily said looking up at him. He simply stood up walking around the desk resting against the desk placing his hand on hers.

"I would never hurt you, Emily. But you need to notice that before anyone else" he sis she feels standing up and walking out of her office. She simply barres her face in her hands and cried. After she calmed she walked over to Seth's office finding it empty. She knew what she had to do so she drove to Seth's apartment.

"Em hey are you ok," he said seeing her red puffy eyes.

"Yeah. Yeah, can I talk to you." Emily said simply.

"Yeah- yeah come on in" Seth opened the door open fully as Emily came in and sat on his couch. She told Seth all about what happened last year with Aaron what happened with his father and why she truly was not with Aaron. Seth told her that Aaron was a great guy and would never do what her father did to her mother to her. He told her to go talk to him and be happy with him. Emily drove to Aaron's place faster than she probably should have. She knocked on the door twisting the rings on her finger while she opened it. She knew what she wanted to say. Aaron opened the door. Aaron was standing in a black tee-shirt and a pair of sweat pants. When's he saw him everything she figured she would say went out the window.

"Em, he-" Aaron greeted before Emily said stepping forward grabbing his face before crashing her lips into his. He was taken back a first before wrapping his arms around her waist when the pulled away Aaron feasted his forehead on his swiping a tear off her cheeks.

"You better not break my heart Aaron shore because if you do I don't know if I'll be able to rebuild it," Emily said smiling slightly.

"I promise Rhodes it's you me till the end," Aaron's said before pulling her back in and kissing her she stepped into his apartment before kicking the door close.
