Love Struck Delusion

Chapter 12 – Even If My Life Is Lost.

Raptor's POV.

Alicia still isn't talking to me. She got up to take the kids to school and I've been waiting for her to get home so we can talk, but I assume she won't be in the mood for that ether.

As I sat on the couch waiting for the headlines, and as time seemed to pass by without me even noticing. I broke concentration to hear the sound of a car door slam shut from outside.

Quickly getting up from my seat, I made my way to the door as whoever stood behind it had already began to knock.

Maybe one had made contact with the door before I had gotten it open.

Hannon stood along the doorstep with nothing but anger along his face as I said in reaction to his presence.

"Hannon? What are you doing here?"

The look on his face said it all as he got an inch closer to me.

"I got kicked out of the capital back in Pakistan. I was forced to leave."

"Why?" I asked in confusion as he looked right into my eyes.

"You know why."

I gave back a quick answer.

"I don't have any idea what you mean Hannon."

Hannon immediately pushed through and into my house with his body right up on mine in rage.

"How dare you lie to me Raptor! You know right well why I got kicked out!"

I held my mouth shut as he yelled some more at me.

"Commander Linnen came into my office accusing me of being behind the murder of Jack Hansen and three of his men!"

I gulped down my guilt as he began to point his finger at me.

"All shoot in the head!? An M1911 used to do it!? Mysterious stranger just so happens to pass by and lend a hand, and kills them all before they can return a single shot!?" He stated with a lack of questioning me. More like accusing me.

"The best part is Raptor that you just so happen to stumbled into Pakistan the night of the murder and shout at me from the other side of my desk, that your going to do whatever you have too, to be able to stop G.U.N! Then guess what!? That happens!?"

I lowered my eyes as he finished his rant.

"And you know what else?! Commander Drake Linnen thinks it was you who did it and so do I! But I covered for you! Lost my job! My rank! My everything because he didn't believe me! So why don't you clear this up Raptor and answer the question that nearly got me killed!? Did you kill those soldiers!?"

Hannon's voice growled with the closing question as I hesitated.

Hannon nodded at my silence as I questioned.

"They have no proof."

Hannon instantly smiled as I looked back up at him.

"Because of me. You would be dead if I didn't cover for you the way I did. But I still heard the commander sent General Monroe after you yesterday? How did that go?" He asked with anger still holding his voice together as I calmly replied.

"He found nothing to prove I did it."

"Did you tell Archer?" Questioned Hannon as I shook my head.

"No."

Giving me a straight glare, Hannon replied.

"So where's the gun?"

"What?" I questioned in confusion as he took hold of my shoulder with gripping force.

"Where's Shadow's gun?"

He applied enough force to hurt me, and with my pain raising I replied.

"Upstairs!"

Letting me go Hannon then ordered.

"Show me."

Turning my arm to work out the kinks, I replied while turning for the stairs.

"Come on then."

Following behind me, I lead Hannon up to my room where I then pointed to my closet.

"Behind the closet." I stated as Hannon pushed by me to move my closet aside in force.

Soon finding the boarded wall, Hannon removed the cover and looked inside to mumble.

"Ahhhh man."

Taking the gun from out from with under Shadow's necklace, Hannon rubbed the frame gently to say.

"A piece of history this is Raptor."

Remaining silent behind him, I watch calmly as he turned to then shout.

"A piece of our history you have no right to! You disgraced the commander by doing this!"

In utter loss for words, I questioned.

"I have no right to!? Hannon you're fucking letting this happen! G.U.N is taking back everything and you're just letting it go without a fight! You sit behind your desk scared to death by the what ifs! You even had the balls to look me in the eye and tell me the rebellion is dead! Yet you still have the right to the past!?"

"I gave everything to get us here Raptor! All you did was man a gun, you fucking animal!"

I was beyond rage now. And to prove it, I charged Hannon, sending my left palm into his hand with the gun and my right under his neck and pushing back into the wall behind him.

"I did more then man a gun you prick and you know it! I gave more then anyone in the rebellion did! I lost my daughter for fucks sake!"

Choking under my grip Hannon uttered into my face.

"You didn't lose Abbey Raptor! You killed her yourself! No one other then you made that choice!"

Growling in pure anger, I sent his head back into the wall.

"Bash!"

After hitting his skull in force, I took the gun out from his hands to shout.

"She understands why she had to die! She's not mad at me any more!"

"How do you know Raptor?" He asked in pain as I replied.

"Cause I'm her father! Something you couldn't even begin to understand!"

Gently getting back on his feet, Hannon looked back into my eyes.

"I lost everything to get here. I lost everything and everyone. I'm only here now because this is my home. This whole country is my home Hannon, and I won't stand by and watch what we all fought and bled for get taken away. Not again. Now you can continue to stand there and tell me what I did wrong, but you know I'm right. Deep down in that broken soul of yours is the Hannon I used to respect as a leader. But ever since the commander died you've become just some shallow husk of a man. Back then a dead rebellion would be the last thing you would let someone of your own say. Yet you're saying it yourself now because you lost all hope. You lost who you were Hannon. You are no longer a rebellion soldier. Your dead inside and dead to me. And if you think for a second I'm going to stop my attacks, you can think again. G.U.N won't take this land back without a fight. And I plan on giving it to them. Now ether stand with me or get the fuck out of my house."

"You're going to die Raptor."

"And I've accepted that. Same as Shadow did when he had the guts to stand up for what's right. And you wana know something really sad Hannon?"

Looking him directly in the eyes I stated.

"This wasn't even his home."

Hannon felt the truth behind those words as I heard the front door open from downstairs.

"Now what's it going to be?" I asked him as he took a step back.

With my posture held, I stared in a sort of disbelief as he turned his back to me to leave.

There were so many things I wanted to say to him as he left, but I choose to watch as he left my room to head downstairs and out the door to his car.

Passing by my wife who was caught off guard by his presence, she tried to say his name.

"Hann...?" Pulling her inside I ordered.

"Don't you dare."

Alicia was completely lost by the action as Hannon got in his car to pull out onto the street.

"You'll regret this Hannon!" I shouted as he drove off and out of sight.

Backing into my house, I slammed the door shut to head right back upstairs.

"What just happened Raptor?" Asked Alicia in confusion as I ignored her out of my anger to head back into our room.

Following me up, Alicia rested her eyes on the closet to ask.

"What are you doing?! Raptor!" She shouted as I still held the commander's gun in my right hand.

"Leaving!" I stated.

Watching as I got a bag out from the closet, Alicia then asked.

"Where are you going?!"

After grabbing everything that was stowed away in the wall, I replied.

"Last time I check you didn't care! You told me to come back when there was an army after me! And with the way things are between us, I can't be around you or the kids!"

The sudden change of my attitude startled her.

"You can't just up and go Raptor! We need you here!"

Giving her a wicked smile, I replied.

"You need me gone! The last time I checked I had a son who hated me! A wife who preferred me out of her life! And a problem with standing still! Well I'm done dealing with it and I'm done dealing with you! I'm not standing here any longer letting this happen to our home! Our country! And I don't care if this is a one way trip, because I'll die knowing I tried my best protecting the people I care about!"

Alicia looked about to cry as I got down under the bed to reach for my old rifle.

Pulling up the M4, I sat it down on top of my duffel and stated at her.

"Everyone has lost hope ever since Shadow died! You all now think the world is back to normal and G.U.N in power! Well the truth is their not! Shadow proved they could be beat and you all seem to forget what we lost proving it! But I remember clearly! Ghost!? Dove!? Amy!? Frost!? Do any of those names mean anything to you Alicia!? They all died! Your friends! They all died to get you this life! And all you care about is letting it get taken away!"

In tears now, Alicia replied.

"All I care about is our kids Raptor! Don't they mean anything to you!?"

"They mean everything to me!"

"Then stop this!"

"I can't!" I replied in anger as she questioned.

"Why not!? Tell me!" She ordered as I picked up my bag and gun to look her right back into the eyes to state.

"Cause they won't have a life ahead of them if G.U.N wins. Something we once both used to agree on. You're just like Hannon. A fucking disgrace."

Walking around her and towards the door, I stopped in my tracks as both my kids waited outside the door in tears.

From behind I heard Alicia say in sadness.

"School was canceled."

Midnight held Ghost close as I stared at him in the eyes.

"Raptor don't go." Begged Alicia as I broke from my trance to head for the door downstairs.

"Raptor!" Shouted Alicia as I exited out into the sun to head for my car.

Putting the rifle and bag in the trunk, I got to the driver's side door to watch as Midnight came running out the front door and towards my legs shouting.

"Daddy! Don't go please!"

Letting go of the door, I bent down to pull her off my body.

Her face was drenched in tears, as I urged.

"You need to stop."

"But dad!" She shouted as I shook my head.

"Stop!"

My daughter went silent as placed my hand on her head.

"I'm doing this for you baby. You and your brother. And I know you won't understand this now, but it's for the best I'm not near you two or your mother. You trust me don't you?" I asked as she nodded with a wet nose.

Placing my finger on it, I then urged.

"Then believe me when I say this. I'll be back. But until then just take care of your mother. She needs you. Now go. I love you."

"I love you two daddy."

After giving me a long hug, Midnight let go.

"Go inside baby. Now."

Obeying me, Midnight made her way back to the house. Not soon after did I get in my car to leave. I took one last look at the house before going deciding where to go next. I didn't have many options now, but there was one last person to talk to.

I'm going to put some focus on this story for next few weeks so I can catch up on some chapters I missed due to work.

Oh and as a new announcement I forgot to mention when this story first started, I will be giving you guys the chance to vote via review on certain decisions Raptor will have to make throughout the story. Each choice has an impact I assure you. And the first one is now. Here is the choice Raptor faces.

Who should Raptor go talk to?

Dr. Clamer?

The fate of these decisions will lead to the type of ending this story has. So get all your votes in, the choice with the highest amount of votes wins. Have fun as I get more chapter's out starting tomorrow.
