In the desert Scratch is pulling up a bucket of water from a well "Stinking Sonic, first chance I get I'll slice him in half". His men were thinking something similar "That stinking Scratch, first chance we get let's slice him in half. Let's do it now, no witnesses". Scratch tipped the water from the bucket on his head, but the ruby then fell out and hit him "What the, oh, so help me I'll sue whoever owns this well. Wait a ruby. Oh, this might be worth something" he tried to wipe what he thought was dust from the ruby. "It will be of little use to you, Scratch" the other thieves took out their swords and advanced on Scratch but then smoke began to be released and laughing could be heard which scared the thieves away. Scratch looked in shock as out of the red smoke came a giant form of Infinite the jackal who continued to laugh "HAHA, I AM FREE! FREE TO EXACT VENGENCE ON THE ONE WHO IMPRISONED ME!".

Infinite tried to fly away but the shackles around his arms eventually stopped him "It is the curse of the ruby. All the power in the universe and I am bound by the rules of the genie! Which means I can't kill that meddling hedgehog, Sonic. Unless I have someone arrange it for me". Infinite examined Scratch who was unable to get any words out "I suppose I am too much for his limited mind" Infinite then shrunk back to normal size and was wearing his mask "I trust you'll find me a little less overwhelming now". Scratch was cowering on his knees "You're a genie?" Infinite rolled his eyes "You are astonishingly perceptive". Scratch picked up the ruby "If you're a genie then don't I get wishes?" "Yes, three to be exact, a minor formality, but first I must go to Shamar. You will take my ruby there for me". Scratch was suddenly feeling uncharacteristically brave "So you need me then? I'll take you to Shamar but first I want my wishes".

Infinite was not happy with that answer and began firing blast at Scratch who was trying to dodge "Why you!" Infinite then got an idea and stopped "You shall have your wishes" "I shall? I mean of course I shall, I want gold, in fact I wish for the sunken treasure of Captain Whisker". "Your wish is my command" Infinite sent them both to the sunken ship, the water began to mess with Scratch "Poor robot, are we enjoying our wish?". Infinite was getting a great deal of glee from killing this stupid robot, but he did need him alive "Perhaps you wish me to return us to the desert?" Scratch nodded. They then reappeared by the well with Scratch's water damage repaired "That was two wishes. Take your time with the third, or you will wish you had never been born" he said the last part sinisterly. "On the other hand, if you aid me I will see that you are rewarded more than any single wish can give you" Scratch liked the sound of that "What do you need me to do?". "First, I must exact my revenge on a certain thieving hedgehog called Sonic" "Sonic? I want him dead too. He stole from me and he turned my men against me". Infinite picked him up "Let's not be too hasty, my friend. It's not enough to kill him, after all there are thing so much worse than death" Infinite began to laugh maniacally.

In the palace dining hall Sonic, Amy, King Rose and the two genies were sitting at a table ready for dinner when the king stood up "Well, I'll get straight to business. Sonic you have proven to be a man of great moral character, that is why I'm appointing you as my new royal advisor". Sonic was speechless but Knuckles then pulled him out of his chair and made him wear a tuxedo "All hail Sonic the royal advisor… So um, what's a royal advisor?". Shadow then put both of them back in their seats before answering "It means he will be trusted with giving the King advice on how to run Shamar" Knuckles was happy with this "Well, he's got to be better than the last one, am I right?" "Quite so". Shadow then entered the conversation "Especially since Sonic doesn't have a bird sidekick, I hated that Jet" Knuckles then turned into a tiny version of Jet on extreme gear and began to repeatedly bump into the Kings head "Oh, I still have the bump from when the real one hit me". Sonic thought that he had to say something "Well, it's funny you should mention Jet".

Jet was still in the Omega cage with Tails watching "Come on, please let me out. I have a sick mother, how would she feel if she didn't see her son again?" this is what Tails and Omega have been listening to for the past two hours. Tails then heard something "It was nice of them to help but if you have to get used to these kinds of things" "I know, I'm sorry. I promise next time I will push through it.. or just end it all, either or". It was Silver and Blaze which Tails thought could deal with his problem "Omega let him out and you can't kill him" "What is the point in me having gatling guns if I can't kill anything" Omega in spite of his complaining released Jet. Jet could only celebrate his freedom for a short time be "You!" Blaze started launching fire balls in Jet direction which caused him to jump on his extreme gear and fly off in a panic. "Get back here you thieving little-!" Silver yelled at the hawk as he and Blaze followed him into the palace. "Oh no, the king can't see him, come on!" Tails and Omega started chasing them all the way the door of the dining hall. Jet tries to stop but his four pursuers crash into him throwing them all into the dining room to the surprises of Amy and Sonic. But before they can say anything the King notices Jet "Jet! Guards! Guards!" Fang suddenly entered the room and saw Jet "What is it your maje…. Oh my, god, how did he get in here?" he said unconvincingly but nobody noticed. Blaze was ready to burn Jet but Sonic suddenly got in her way "Listen, wait please" the King was surprised by this "I trust you have a fitting explanation for this" "He better" Amy added looking angrily at Sonic.

"Your highness I believe that Jet maybe… um... deserved a second chance" the king didn't like this answer "A second chance. You mean after he aided an enemy, tormented my family and caused my kingdom to be taken over!" Fang then stepped forward "We can't allow that traitor to run free" Sonic had an idea "Then I'll watch him. I mean with your permission your majesty; I will take full responsibility for Jet". Jet was surprised by this "You will?" "Your priorities seem questionable to me, but I will allow it. Watch him every moment" the king said to Sonic rather coldly. He then stopped in front of Jet "Why Jet someone seems to have turned the safety off on your extreme gear" he grabbed the board and altered the settings before throwing it back at Jet who knew he should probably stay quite. The King left along with Fang while everyone else was watching "That could have gone worse. I mean I don't know how, but probably" Shadow said over the silence. Sonic sat down "Oh Amy, I thought I was done for" Amy however did not look happy "Were you hiding him the whole time" Silver then stood next to Shadow "Yeah, that's probably how it could be worse".

"I can't believe you, after everything that's happened you lie to me again" Amy leaves and Sonic tries to stop her "Amy wait, in the marketplace… I just didn't want to risk…." Amy got out of sight. "Oh no, what have I done?" Blaze came over to him "Don't worry, she's just upset. Give her some time". Sonic not fully convinced walked off while Jet was thinking "The hedgehog saved my life, nobody's ever done something like that, it's like I owe him… Nah!". Silver came up to him "I saw a movie that said you should let your conscience be your guide" Jet laughed at this "Conscience, ha! never had one" he tried to fly off in his extreme gear but Silver stopped him with his powers. Silver then flew the both of them to where Sonic was sitting looking depressed while Tails was trying to comfort him "Look at him. Would it kill ya to help somebody?" "Very likely, actually". "We have to get them back together" Jet was getting annoyed "I don't do romance, it's not me". Silver sighed "If you help them, I'll get Knuckles and Shadow to improve your extreme gear" Jet was confused by this "Why don't you do it?" "I don't have magic anymore, I'm mortal now". Jet was still confused but liked the deal "Fine, I'll see what I can do"

Amy was in her room crying when Jet entered from the balcony "I don't know why your crying over him" "You, get out!" Amy replied before pulling out her hammer and advanced on Jet who was backing away in fear. "Hey, I agree with you, he's a waste. I never should have saved his life" Amy stopped "You saved his life?". "Yeah, he thought he owed me one, why else would he risk his neck" Amy sat down but was still angry "He didn't have to lie to me" "Yeah, you're absolutely right".

Jet- Forget about that guy.
Forget about the way you fell into his eyes.
Forget about his charms.

(Jet shows her a picture of Sonic)

Forget about the way he held you in his arms.

(Amy pushes the picture away)

Walking on air's obnoxious.
The thrills, the chills, will make you nauseous.

(Amy tries to hit him with her hammer but he gets on his extreme gear)

And you'll never get enough. Just Forget About Love.

(Amy finally hits him, launching him out to the balcony where Silver is waiting)

Jet (Spoken)- She's buying it, now do whatever you can do now

Jet- Forget about romance.

(Silver used his powers to knock over a flower next to Amy that she catches)

Forget about the way your heart begins to dance.

(Jet flies in and grabs the flower and then leads Amy to the balcony)

Then you feel the blush when he's spouting out some sentimental mush.

(Amy looks over the balcony and see's Sonic sad)

Love really is revolting.
It's even worse than when you're moulting.
Enough of this fluff. Just Forget About Love.

(Amy smiles)

Amy- I had almost forgotten the way it felt when he held out his hand for mine. My heart all a flutter.
Jet- Oh, how I shudder.
Amy- The first time we kissed.

Jet- It won't be missed. Forget about his touch.
Amy- I can't forget about his touch.

(Amy exits her room)

Jet- In the scheme of things it doesn't matter much.
Amy- It matters so much.

(She begins dancing down the stairs)

Jet- You're better on your own. A meal becomes a banquet when you eat alone.

Amy and Jet- Love's filled with compromises.

(Amy pulls Jet into a dance)

Jet- And don't you hate those big surprises?

(Amy runs out into the courtyard)

Amy-A cosy rendezvous.

(Omega gives her a lift in his hovercraft form)

Jet- Oh, please.

(Shadow and Knuckles are watching, the latter looking like he's about to burst into tears

Amy- Candlelight for two.

(Blaze uses her powers to light the torches in the courtyard)

Jet- Oh, geez.
Amy- Look you're calling my bluff. I can't-

(Amy flies over to Sonic)

Sonic (spoken)- Amy, I'm sorry I should have told you I-

Amy- I can't forget about my heart.
Sonic- I can't forget about my heart.
Amy- And how it felt to fall for you right from the start.
Sonic- I'm still falling.
Amy- Whatever we may do.
Sonic- Whatever we may do.
Amy- You are here for me. And I'll be there for you.

(They hug)

Sonic- I'll be there.
Amy and Sonic- To wish, to want, to wander. To find the sun through rain and thunder.
Sonic- A cosy rendezvous.
Amy- Yes, please.
Sonic- Candlelight for two.
Jet- Oh, geez. Look, enough is enough.

(Tails appears and pulls him away)

Sonic and Amy- We can't Forget About Love.

(They stare at the moon and kiss)
