Alexandra: Alright,this is the beginning of my own parts! A bit nervous because I feel like I will soften Yugi,but then again I already have an AU where Yugi goes 180 degrees into a bloodlust-manic Yugi wolf,I guess I can handle this for now. I think..Anyways,hope you enjoy!

I did a small drawing at the notes end in my notebook,maybe I'll use that as cover.

Chapter 4: Never Expected The Unexpected

Kaiba's staff called for their boss to see the damage of the hack. The tall man fummed through the hallways, finally arriving at a large screen. The message and photo of the hack were there. He smirked, as he prepared his guards. This time he won't get away without a fight.

Back in the Afterlife, Atem got to close the door to his room, sitting on the edge of the bed. /Yugi...How can I save you...? What should I do? I don't know...Why did this happen? Why after I left? Was I the cause? Could this be it?/ he went with his hands through his hair frustrated as he wondered what he could possibly do to bring Yugi back. Maybe he could talk some sense into him. His trail of thoughts got interrupted as he heard something suddenly crashing the ground and he went out, running down the halls to the throne room, when he saw another beam of light.
Just as Atem,the others were taken by surprise when another beam of light shot down in the throne room, slowly perishing away to reveal no other then Solomon Moto,Yugi's grandpa. Atem was stunned,when did time go by so fast? Did Yugi actually kill that fast?! His thoughts clouded his judgement for a moment out of utter frustration.

''Where...Am I? The pain finally ended,no?'' Grandpa asked confused as he looked around,turning from the council,Bakura and Marik to face none other than Atem. ''Atem! My boy!''

Atem looked at the old man, but not with an exact welcoming expression. He kept his cool for now. ''What happened? How you died?'' He got straight to the point,trying to conceal his frustration and anger that came back,remembering what the Gods told him.

''There was this man in black and it all happened way too fast. He claimed he's Shadows.I don't know wh-'' Solomon replied as he walked to Atem, but Atem had cut him off and spoke ''It's Yugi. Yugis has shadow magic.''. Sudden disgust and amusement appeared on Solomon's face, probably forgetting that he was in front of the Pharaoh, Atem's veins boiled with anger and continued before the old man had the chance,with a death icy glare at the other ''Don't. You and our so called friends are responsible for this. And yes, he is the one. Now...'' he turned to the psychos and the council without giving any other explication to Solomon, closing his eyes for a moment and sighed. Solomon went to Duke and while they discussed, Atem opened his eyes and spoke,turning his head to the 2 psychos ''Bakura, Marik, we're going back on the realm of the living. While I'm not as experienced as you in being the villain as you two are,I need you there to predict what Yugi will do next under the control of the shadows.'' The 2 nodded and was ready for the trip. Before Atem could turn to speak to the council, Grandpa suddenly had a smile of glee on his face ''You are coming back? That's great Ate-'' Atem fummed. Apparently all the frustration,the headache added with the anger made him lose all his self-control. ''Yes, YES I'M GOING BACK! BUT NOT FOR YOU, NOT FOR THE ONES THAT HAD HURT YUGI! I'M GOING FOR AND ONLY FOR YUGI!'' the intensity of those words echoed through the halls of the palace in the dead silence that quickly followed. After a long silence and heads staring at the ground, Priest Seth walked over to the Pharaoh and knelt beside him,breaking the silence. ''My Pharaoh, if you believe it's the right choice, even considering the consequences,I will support you and I believe it's time you give the Greatest Gods your answer. I can see this pains you, Your Majesty, so the sooner,the better.'' Seth looked up when he felt a hand on his shoulder, the Pharaoh giving him a sad smile. ''Thank you…Thank you Seth. You're right. And…Take care of this place while I'm gone. Tell Mana I'm going to help Yugi get back to himself.'' Priest Seth smiled back,giving him an reassuring look before nodding. Atem took his hand off and looked at the two yamis.
''You two,come with me.'' then he and the 2 psychos left the throne room, going to one of the pyramids where the God palettes resided. He didn't have time for Grandpa or Duke right now. Right now,too many innocent souls were tortured for a mistake that should've never been made.

Meanwhile,in Domino City, a figure stood on one of the tallest buildings that was coming close to KC's tower, who was no other then Yugi himself. He watched over the 'Town of Despair' as a hawk while he was making his plan for his encounter with Kaiba.
The shadows,even if they were eager for the encounter, were worried that Yugi was giving just too much. "You really need to quit it." The shadows whispered impatiently. "If you keep asking these questions they're going to get suspicious." The shadows mostly referring to the Duke encounter,even if he's dead, but also Tea.

Yugi looked amused by this. "Them? Please! They think I'm an idiot. They won't suspect me until I choose to let them." He grinned and returned to his trail of thoughts.
/Hmm..Kaiba. We know he's rich,stubborn,overprotective. Overprotective…/ He chuckled darkly /The only one he has is poor little Mokie. He had emotionally let his guard down,showing weakness.. Now I'm going to exploit that./ Maybe an illusion of his favorite dragon eating Mokuba alive,tearing each part of the boy apart right in front of Kaiba. Yugi chuckled again. He liked this idea,and so seemed the shadows to do. /But there's more.. Big Five. Ah,yes! His stepfather. Must've been awful, mustn't it? This will be fun. Not as fun as with knives and blood,but it will pay off for that priceless broken face./ at this he actually laughed manically,no one could hear him that well anyways, the town was soon to be a ghost town. He knew that Seto Kaiba wouldn't mind the physical pain,he wanted to break him. Toy with his mind. Break those walls of confidence down to pieces. He watched as the last rays of the sun slowly started to disappear,letting the darkness of the night to take over the sky. It was time to play his next part.

Back into the realm of gods, the 3 Egyptian Gods were getting anxious. More panic. They waited for Pharaoh Atem's answer regarding this situation. They surely wouldn't have to kill the hikari, right? Even they seemed to see no other end to this other then killing the source. That's how it always happens...Right?

Before they could send another letter through young Mana to the Pharaoh,they heard a voice. Small,but there. Once they listened closely...This wasn't only one voice. They were 3.

Atem,Marik and Bakura stood before the stone palettes with the 3 Egyptian Gods on them, knelt, left leg forward, praying. On their road there Atem told the other yamis what they should say,the prayer to be more exact. This should connect them to their Gods,hopefully. Atem at least hoped that,because he didn't know another way around.

The Gods heard the prayer, at last. One look at each other,then a gentle nod. Ra opened its wings (Prefer to keep referring to them as in the YGO cards form),bright light shining everywhere. The wings materialized around the three yamis, then Ra wrapped its arms around them. The yamis kept their eyes closed and the blinding light,but slowly the light faded, allowing them to open their eyes...

The three gasped as they saw Ra, Osiris and Obelisk in front of them. Marik turned his head to the other 2 and smirked ''Hey that was really easy! I never doubted you for one tiny second, 'Oh Mighty Pharaoh' !'' and Atem turned his head for a moment, opened his mouth to say something,but closed it right away as he shook his head,while kept low.
''Rise, Pharaoh, Bakura, Marik.'' Osiris spoke and while they rose, Obelisk added '' We do not have much time in our hands, so what is your plan? Do you have a plan?''. Atem nodded ''Yes, I do believe that I can talk some sense into my hikari and for this I will need the help of these two, as they know how a villain thinks. Though, I do need your approval.''

It was Ra's turn to speak ''We would. But what if this simple plan fails? We won't let this carnage continue,if you fail.'' and Atem nodded in understanding. ''I intend to stop... him myself...If that is the case. But there is something more I need guaranteed. If I succeed, all the people he has hurt will return to their normal lives,all the carnage will be reversed.'' the Gods stood there in silence. ''We cannot interfere with the realm of living without a purpose, Great Pharaoh. And some of those people,even though not rightfully deserved their deaths and torment in such a cruel way, cannot redeem themselves.'' Osiris spoke, calmly,but anger present on its face.

''I will take the blame upon myself, but not before I make sure things won't go the wrong way again. Though, if my plan works, even to an extreme, I believe the blame will be taken upon me easily.'' Atem looked Osiris in the eyes with a determined look. The two yamis looked at each other, then at the Pharaoh and Bakura asked confused ''But what the bloody hell you mean by that? Stop talking in riddles,it's annoying.'' and Marik was about to add something,but Atem just told them ''You'll see when the time comes.''. Then silence followed, the three yamis waiting an answer from the gods. The gods kept looking at each other,as if speaking through a mind link.

Yugi stood in the shadow, after killing literally all the cops. He worse his black mask on his mouth, and along with his black outfit and black cloak that covered him so well. Shadows lingering around him,but they were his friends. His really good did a great job, at perishing all the light from KC's tower. He now was in Kaiba's office, where Kaiba had a gun ready in his left hand as he sat at his desk.

''I knew you would come. I don't have time for you,but I'm not going to let you run away so easily after what you have done to my little brother.'' Kaiba stood up, looking at the shadows,feeling that the person was there,somewhere, as he gave a small growl. ''Show yourself,unless you're scared.''

Yugi laughed and laughed all of a sudden. Seems that the 'Great Seto Kaiba'' was afraid to play dirty. The laughter echoed through the hall,through the whole building. Though Kaiba stood there, still confident and cold. Yugi just had to make one move, one slow move and all could start.

/Time to play my part, let's see how this turns out. I might even have fun with it./ Yugi chuckled darkly and with a swing of his hand, some shadows covered him,his appearance shifting to a more bulkier man. Guzaboro. Then with another swing of his hand,he got the other shadows ready for the gameplay. He slowly walked out of the shadows, in the only light from the room: Kaiba's laptop that was still open on the desk,lighting ever so slightly the room. Kaiba frowned, held up the gun and narrowed his eyes.

''You…It can't be you. You got destroyed in that explosion!'' Seemed that after all,this was way too easy. Kaiba was already nervous, well,infuriated,which was good. One step at a time. Yugi smirked under his cover and then spoke,even his voice sounding like Guzaboro's now ''Seto, you will never escape me. Not after everything you have done to me. And now…I came back for my revenge. But not any revenge. See for yourself, son of mine!'' then Yugi stepped aside, a sudden light fell behind him,revealing a tied up Mokuba against a chair. Kaiba's eyes widened and he was about to run towards Mokuba, but turned to Yugi and pointed his gun at him. ''I will end here,right now and I will take my brother back! '' Then there was a gunshot,two,three. But surprisingly to Kaiba, he seemed to have somehow, somehow miss the man before him. What actually happened was the shadows redirected the shots to the wall,leaving Yugi unharmed. Kaiba wanted to shoot again, only to realize the gun had no more rounds.

''Oh son. I think you forgot who you are dealing with. But no matter,let me remind you. You tried to kill me, so now…I will kill your brother. And you won't be able to save him this time.'' Yugi snapped his fingers,then shadows that took the form of chains wrapped around Kaiba's arms,torso and legs, and in the same time 3 Blue Eyes White Dragons appeared behind Mokuba. Mokuba was still bleeding from the wounds on his back, but looked horrified at Seto then at the Blue Eyes White Dragons that stared at him…with hunger visible in their eyes.

Seto struggled to get free from the chains, but was no use. The chains seemed too strong. What Kaiba didn't notice was the shadows that was covering everything else,surrounding everyone in the room.

The saliva from one of the dragons' mouth dropped on the ground, as of a dinosaur. Kaiba tried to keep his calm. ''Those are just holograms. You can't be serious,I know my own technology way too well to believe you! You don't really have any power against me, stepfather.'' he responded with bitterness at the last word. Another maniac laughter escaped Yugi's lips, and then walked behind Kaiba, whispering in his ear ''Oh really? You think so?'' then Yugi snapped his fingers and looked at Mokuba.

The dragons began to move, and roar. The one from the middle just roared as the other two moved to each side of Mokuba. And then they grabbed both his arms in their mouths. Mokuba screamed in pain as the razor sharp teeth dug in his arms, and Kaiba's eyes suddenly widened. /How? HOW?! IT'S IMPOSSBLE!/ ''Mokuba! MOKUBA!'' he surely started to get agitated for someone who thought those are just some holograms. He turned his head to Yugi and asked with anger ''What have you done?! What have you done to Mokuba?!'' and Yugi just smiled really wide and dark. ''Don't take your eyes away son, you might lose him in just a second if you-'' then Yugi moved his head to the dragons ''-move your gaze somewhere else.'' and at those words,the dragons ripped Mokuba's arms apart, each side fighting over him as if they fought for food. Mokuba screamed in agony and kept calling ''Seto, Seto help!'' and Kaiba moved his head towards him faster then lighting. The dragons' teeth tore apart the arms from the body,with the bones as well. Mokuba began to pour blood as a fountain from both sides where the arms were, as two of the dragons were fighting over one arm, tearing the flesh apart as they ate it, and the other swallowed the arm whole.

Their mouths full of blood, they returned to the boy. Kaiba kept screaming for Mokuba, kept struggling,his mask of confidence was long gone. His eyes slowly starting to water, but fighting the tears. Yugi needed more. He looked at his dragons and nodded, then whispered in Kaiba's ear once again ''You failed as a brother. You failed to protect the only family you had left. You always was bound to fail in life, dear son of mine. You failed to be King, you failed to beat one person, you failed to protect your brother, you're a failure ,Seto.''

As those words were spoken, the two dragons bit at Mokuba's legs, this time in a hurry, as the dragon from the middle lowered its head, and bit off Mokuba's head, his scream suddenly stopped as the teeth dug deeper and deeper in the boy's throat. Kaiba froze. /No…No…NO! MOKUBA!/ He left his tears to fall down his cheeks, as he stopped struggling and froze there in place. The dragons ripped the legs and head off in one harsh motion, bones snapping, flesh ripping apart and blood everywhere. On the floor. On the chair. On the part that was left of the body that once was his dear little brother. This time, the three dragons crunched the legs and head, more snapping and cracking heard. Their mouths were bloodier this time.

Kaiba fell on his knees,hands on floor, as he took one last look as the dragons tore into the relatively small stomach, chest, torso and scavenged the body, their faces full of blood, then he looked at the floor with wide opened eyes, tears falling down his cheeks faster and faster, frozen as the image kept replaying just as Guzaboro's words did. Yugi was satisfied with the work that he had done. He knew he couldn't have been able to torture Kaiba so well if the real Mokuba was there instead of an illusion.

As he watched Kaiba cry,the illusions disappeared and the shadows that held Kaiba loosened. As he stood behind Kaiba, Yugi gave the order to the shadows to kill Kaiba, but before they could, Yugi felt something that struck him as strong as a lighting and the shadows stopped all at the sudden wave of this foreign,yet familiar felling,before retreating to Yugi.

Atem was back.

AN: Thank you very much for reading! I left some things out for the next chapter! Even though I feel like I stretched the chapter from my 2 pages summary on paper to 4 pages in digital is too much,but hey, that might just be me. I hope you like it and let me know what you think! Never Expected the Unexpected referred to Atem's return to the living world! :3 Bye bye and hope that I won't get writer's block next time. Often happens with artworks but happens with stories too. Will try to update the others too. Kaiba is frozen in place because I based it that he doesn't know how to show his feelings, he does but in a strange he's in shock. Characters may seem OOC rather then the other chapters, but I truly tried my best T-T
