Love Struck Delusion
Chapter 33 – My Undying Personality.
Raptor's POV, Unknown.
Everything was dark. I was lost, confused. On tracks without rails. I didn't know where I was going nor did I honestly seem to care. I just kept walking straight. Or at least I did, up until I was stopped by a small light.
I stood there in silence as a familiar face came up to me to ask.
"Who are you?" It was Alicia. She had a blank but solid feel to her as I asked back.
"Who are you? My imagination? Or my insanity?"
Staring into my eyes she replied.
"I'm whoever I want to be right now you asshole. The real question is, who do you think you are? And what are you doing right now?"
Her words were very forceful as I concentrated my efforts to state back.
"I'm doing whatever I feel is right."
"Like cheating on me?" She wondered as I looked away to be told.
"You turned your back on everything we had. We went through so much and you just threw it all away for that slut!"
"I did what I felt was best. I won't see you for god knows how long. I'm already on the verge of breaking. I deserve some happiness for once in my fucking life!"
Still staring on blankly, she questioned.
"Am I not enough for you then?"
"You use to be." I replied as her eyes widened.
"I use to feel like we could take on anything together. Yet deep down I know you just really want to go. The only reason your still around me today is because of Ghost and Midnight. If they weren't here you'd be gone. Hell, I feel like nether one of us really love one another since the day Shadow died."
"You need to stop blaming him for what's wrong with you Raptor. You may think it's all his fault, but you need to take some responsibility for the choices your making now. Cheating on me isn't his fault. Do you understand that? It's yours. And I hope to god you pay for it."
"I already am Alicia. I'm already paying for it now for having to stand here and listen to you. We both know it wasn't meant to be."
"It was!" She shouted as I widened my eyes to see her crying.
"It was...Raptor it really was meant to be. You're just too blind to see it anymore. Maybe G.U.N isn't the problem. Maybe it's just you. Maybe it always has been just you."
With my body feeling light, I replied.
"Maybe your right. Maybe it is me. Maybe I'm just moving on. Away from this fucked up relationship we have."
"What about the kids Raptor?" She wondered as I calmly stated.
"I'll always be there for them. Even if they hate me after everything I'm going to have to do to get their freedom. Even if you want me dead. You'll never keep me from them. Do you understand that Alicia?" I asked in a serious tone as she began to smile.
"Yeah. I got it."
After those words I was hit by another bright light.
Rebellion HQ, Iraq.
Opening my eyes to let out a sigh, I soon realized I was back in my bed in nothing but my underwear. Silence took me over, but as I went to try and relax, I soon heard someone breathing behind me.
Gently looking to my right, I found a naked Hunter sleeping next to me in deep dreams. My eyes could only stare at her in confusion as I came to terms with what I had done. I don't even remember half of it.
Looking to my nearby phone, I saw it was three o'clock in the morning. The night still held over Iraq as I gently attempted to get up from my bed without waking her.
As soon as my mind and my legs were set up straight, I went over to my nearby closet and got dressed. Black cargos, a brown tee shirt, my normal black boots, and next to it all was my vest. After I had pulled it on over my clothes and locked it tight, I grabbed Shadow's M1911 from off my nightstand and placed it in my holster.
With the gun now hanging off my right thigh, I made my way out of my room to head into the main room to find Wreak asleep on the couch. He looked like a fucking puppy when he slept. One arm under his head and his body all curled up. Guy can act tough, but that would prove otherwise to anyone who saw it.
Making my way by him and towards the door, I exited out into the front yard to find Archer standing alongside his and my car. He was looking into the sky as if in thought as I approached to ask.
"When did you get back?"
In a clam tone, he replied.
"Not too long ago. Give or take ten minutes."
"Where were you?" I asked in a curious way as he looked back at me to reply.
"Nowhere special. You know me. I just was overwhelmed earlier. I had to go get some fresh air."
I felt something off in his words, but nodding my head, I then stated.
"Wreak has a plan for tomorrow. Are you going to lend a hand?"
"Lend a hand?" He questioned as I stared at him.
"Your killing innocents Raptor. And your asking me lend a hand? Who are you man? I didn't ask to help you murder people for this war." Stated Archer as I knew this was coming sooner or later from him.
"It's war. Like you just said. People die. I know you think we have a choice. But there isn't another way to do this Archer. Destroying Shadow's treaty goes against everything he and everyone in the past died for. Including us."
Archer was holding strong, but nodded to reply.
"I know this wasn't an easy choice. But for the love of god Raptor at least tell me you feel something wrong about this." Begged Archer as I held his eyes to mine.
"I feel wrong everyday. This just adds on to it Archer. Someone needs to make these choices for us. And truth be told if we were going to burn the Commander's treaty I would feel just as bad, if not worse."
"What happens if the truth is revealed to the public Raptor? Do you have a plan for that?" Wondered Archer as I shook my head to reply.
"No. I don't. All I would say is the truth to everyone. This is a sacrifice. It's hard Archer but it's inevitable. There's no way by the pain that will come from this. We just need to work together and get through this as a family. You should be understanding of this brother. We may not have signed up for it, but it's our duty to do whatever we have too to gain back our freedom."
Archer was deep in thought now as I went for my car. But before I opened the door to get in, I said to him.
"I'll make you a deal. If and when this is done, if you still feel like I had another choice...you can take command of this rebellion."
Archer widened his eyes as he looked to me to say in a lost tone.
"Raptor I...?" Cutting him off I added.
"You can even kill me if you'd like. I don't have anything left to live for besides this rebellion. But if you can prove your better for the job, then I'll gladly die tomorrow knowing you were right about everything."
Archer fell silent as I got in my car to state.
"I'll be back later. Tell Wreak to have everything ready by the time I get back here. I want to get this done as fast as possible. No one wants them to suffer."
Archer still watched in utter shock as I drove off into the night alone and unprepared for what I was going to do.
I had to get some information straight.
