Love Struck Delusion

Chapter 41 – How I See Everything.

Black's POV, Iraq Capital Building.

Opening the back of the chopper, my men and I stepped out to be greeted by General Monroe himself. He looked at us in confusion. I guess it was our gear.

"You must be the help Commander Linnen was sending me. Who's in charge?"

"Me sir." I replied as he approached to shake my hand.

"We got some things to discuss son. I assume you all know why your here?"

"Yes sir." I replied as he nodded and urged.

"Well if you would follow me inside to my office, I'll get you started. I want this done as quick as possible so I can look for a way to resolve the problem. Do we understand...?" Egging for my name I replied.

"Captain Rose."

"Ah Captain. Do we?"

Nodding I replied.

"Yes sir. Let's move inside men!"

Obeying me, my team moved passed the common soldiers and into the capital. The General now lead the way forward as I stopped before entering the building to look around. Someone was watching me. I felt the gaze.

Raptor's POV.

Perched up on a roof across the street from the Capital, I stared at the hit team who was sent after me. Linnen wasn't messing around it seemed. I had no clue what kind of soldiers those guys were even in the slightest. They don't look like Black ops. Or Speical forces. Maybe a splinter group? Or Linnen's own? I don't know nor do I care. All I did know was they were here now and I had to be on the lookout. Those men are packing gear I haven't seen before. Messing with them head on would be a nightmare.

Keeping my eyes on the man that appeared to be the team leader, I stopped with my analysis as he stopped to look my way. Our eyes looked to have locked but I don't think he actually saw me. He just felt me. This guy was dangerous. How can a man feel that from there? I asked myself as I continued to watch him as he turned to follow behind his men.

Losing sight as the doors leading inside shut behind them, I let out a sigh to put down the binoculars.

Gently getting up on my feet, I proceeded to get closer. Stage two would be a little harder, but I had to get more info.

Proceeding back down to the street, I looked towards the helipad to see one lone soldier left by his lonesome.

Now was my chance.

Black's POV.

Everyone stared at us. Guess they never saw our group before. Wouldn't surprise me. Only three squads exist. Us being one. Linnen kept it small for a reason.

With Monroe leading us to his office, we soon approached to be let in.

"Relax gentlemen. I'm glad you could make it so soon. As you know I'm in a bad way. I'm hoping you can fix that."

"Just point us in the right direction sir and we'll get this done before the night ends." Stated Tap as I looked to Monroe who took a seat behind his desk to reply.

"In due time son. But first I have a few questions to ask."

"Shoot." I urged him as he now looked to me to reply.

"Who are you with? Judging by your uniform your G.U.N, but not Special forces or Black ops. Are you with Linnen? A sort of side group he has set up over in Pakistan? Cause just by looking at you're gear it's clear you have top spec access. So tell me Captain."

With my eyes forward, I glanced back as a soldier made his way by the door. Gently looking back I replied.

"We're part of a three team platoon. All of us are the best at what we do. Leo here being tech, Vector being my second in command and lead attack coordinator, big Gabe being heavy assault, and Tap being sniper. We all have top marks and under command from the President we were assigned to protect Commander Linnen and the interests of the middle east. Technically we don't exist. But to answer you're question our group is under a codename. All three teams end with Echelon. We're Stalker Echelon. Meant for operations of stealth and heavy assault. Main purpose is to retrieve and eliminate HVTs of war. Raptor Voltz being our mission this time around." I stated as he nodded and replied calmly.

"Well Raptor Voltz isn't someone you should take lightly. Even with all that gear. He's a killer and he's not afraid to get his hands dirty. But the man is insane. You can see it in his eyes. None the less he has been my main problem. He took out my fuel depot, raided this building, even took my fucking treaty. He's killed a few dozen of my men so far just because he wanted too. I had to pull back my patrols from outside the border cause that's where they've been getting hit. Now he has me pinned to this building and I wouldn't put it past him to try and kill me sooner or later. I need that man dead and I want that treaty back with as little public attention as possible."

"What about the other rebels sir? We know he's not alone." Stated Vector as Monroe looked to him to reply.

"They will give up when Raptor has been killed. Focus on him and do your job son. You boys get me my treaty and I will be in your debt."

"Ahh hate to bother you General, but do you have any clue where he's hiding out? Iraq is a big place." Stated Leo as he looked at the on screen map of the city on his wrist pad display.

Nodding Monroe replied.

"I have a feeling he's somewhere in the slums around the city. Maybe an old building or some shit. Doesn't matter. Search them all if you have too. Just kill him."

Nodding, Leo began to single out the slums around the area. Refocusing on Monroe I urged.

"Keep you and your men out of our way. We'll find him."

"I want to see the body Captain. Do you understand me?" Asked Monroe as I nodded and replied.

"Yes sir. Give us the night. He'll be dead."

"I'm sure of it Captain. Now get out there and start searching. I need this resolved now."

Giving my men a look, I ordered.

"Get the gear off the chopper and get dressed to impress. I want you all ready in ten. Go."

With my men obeying, they made their way out of the office and back to the pad entrance. I was left with Monroe who asked.

"You really think you're going to kill him tonight Captain Rose?"

"Yes sir. I know that." I replied as I turned to leave.

As I exited the office, I looked to my left to see that soldier making his way to the pad. My mind was alerted as he picked up his pace to get outside. Turning my walk into a jog, I ran after the man to exit outside; to see him gone.

In confusion, I looked around to see not a sign of him nearby.

"Where did he go?" I asked myself in my head, as I looked to the left to see my men unloading the gear from the bird.

"Where's the guard?!" I asked out loud as Leo stopped to wonder.

"On break? Why?"

Looking around the area, I grew angry as I knew something wasn't right.

Raptor's POV.

Pinned under the pad itself, I looked above my head to see the Captain of the team looking around for me. It was clear he knew I was here. This guy was a monster with his senses.

Quickly approaching his men who were unloading crates from off the chopper, I began to carefully undo the uniform. As soon as it was off, I rested it down on the knocked out guard's body to proceed to the exit I had picked out away from the area. I had to get ready. These guys were going to the slums. I had to lure them off that trail. Buy time.

Quietly running for the exit, I got back outside the Capital perimeter to head for my car.

Drop a review if you can, it means a lot and I'll have another chapter up soon.
