Love Struck Delusion
Chapter 42 – The World Is A Lie.
Wreak's POV, Rebellion HQ.
Hunter went back out the second she got back with Archer. But thanks to her, we now have a new friend who we had the pleasure of talking too. With Archer to my right, we faced the G.U.N officer who had been bagged and gagged and we gave each other looks that said exactly what we were thinking.
Approaching the lone human, I took off the bag over his head to stare into his scared blue eyes.
"Lieutenant Nicholas Mendoza. G.U.N border patrol adviser and lead officer in charge of security. Two tours in Iraq and one tour in the last war in Afghanistan. Correct?" I asked him as he nodded in fear of me; and Archer who stared from behind me silently.
"Now I'm gonna make this easy, and if you give us what we want to know we'll let you go. Sound fair?" I asked him as he stared into my eyes.
"If you don't I'll kill you. Plain and simple."
I saw the panic held in his body as he shook before me. Gently standing back up, I got behind the man to look at Archer and nod. Nodding back he approached the man to ask.
"We need details on the current status of the border line. Guard numbers, patterns, weaponry, back up on standby, everything. Now I'm gonna undo this. And if you don't at least answer one of these questions, I'll have no problem hurting you. Do you understand?"
The officer nodded as Archer looked back up to me. Giving him the okay, he slowly ungagged the officer to ask.
"So?"
Catching his breath, the officer looked up at Archer to reply.
"I don't know everything! Just the basics I swear!"
"So fess up then." Urged Archer as the man begged.
"Please! I have a family!"
Rolling his eyes, Archer urged me to lend a helping hand.
Taking the man who we had tied to a chair by the chest from behind, I tipped him on his back.
"Wait! Stop! I'll tell you what you want to know!"
"Do it." Ordered Archer as I grabbed a wet rag and placed it over the man's face.
"Ughhhhh!" With him now unable to breath, I reached to my side to grab a bucket of water we had set aside just for this.
Gently aiming it over his face, I slowly began to pour it over the rag.
"UGHHHHH! Akkkk! Stueoooopppp! Augkkk!"
With Archer watching in a calm stance, I kept going till he ordered me to stop.
With the bucket now rested down, Archer pulled off the rag to watch as the man began to choke up water from his lungs and onto the floor next to us.
"Don't bother us with you're staling. We want answers. Not a sob story. Understand!?" He asked in a dark tone as the man replied.
"Yes sir! Just please stop!"
"Lift him up." Ordered Archer as I put the man and his seat back on it's feet.
"Start talking." Ordered Archer as I reached for a large wrench next to me I had placed on a table.
With the man looking to it in complete fear, I urged.
"You better answer."
Black's POV.
We were now after this asshole. I'm confident he's watching us. He knows I'm after him. I can sense him and I haven't even taken the shot yet. My men on the other hand had no idea. We just drove head first into the slums. Our luck we would find him there. Or at least a clue to where he was hiding. Cause when I find him I swear I'm gonna kill him. No one fucks with me right now.
Looking to my side as Vector drove the Humvee to a park, I ordered Tap.
"Stay here with the ride. The rest of us are going in."
"Yes sir." Replied Tap as the rest of us got out of the Humvee to look around.
Parked off the side of the road in an alley, Leo stated.
"We should be fine here boss. Where to?"
Looking to Vector, I replied.
"We split up and search the nearby buildings. You find anything you call it in. Understood?"
With my men all nodding in compliance, I ordered.
"Vector you have Gabe. Leo with me. I want this fucker found."
"We'll find him Cap. Just you wait." Urged Tap who looked out the window of the Humvee to me.
"Move out." I ordered as everyone now moved in different directions.
Taking Leo further down the alley we were parked in, I glanced back to see Gabe leading Vector into a nearby slum.
"Come on." I urged Leo as he kept his eyes on the radar.
Taking our walk towards another slum building, I ordered.
"Stack up."
Taking hold of his MP7, Leo got behind me as I started the breach with a rough kick to the already broken door.
"BASH!"
Sending it off the hinges, I aimed my RO993 around in each direction to state.
"Clear!"
Leo sensed my tone as I pushed us forward.
Vector's POV, Ten Mintues Later.
With Gabe as my cover, we proceeded to calmly check the building we were in.
"Anything?" I wondered as he shook his head to state.
"Nah nothing."
Putting my M4A1 down to my side, I ordered.
"Let's get heading to the next building. I'm sure the Captain is already five ahead of us."
Retaking the lead, Gabe asked.
"Why's the Captain so focused Vector? He hasn't even taken the Venom yet. But in the car I saw he had that look in his eyes. You know what I'm saying right?"
Nodding my head as we found ourselves back outside, I stopped to reply.
"He's always been that way since I started working with him. Well at least when it had to do with the Rebellion. As far as for why, I heard he had someone special in the war die. I think he's looking for answers. But on the other hand he might just want to make sure another war can't start. It's hard to tell without asking him yourself Gabe. And I recommend you don't. Who knows how touchy he is about it."
Gabe nodded as I pointed to the next building.
With both of us now silent, we set up the breach to push our way through the door. Gabe was three times my size and his entrance alone was more then enough to get us cleared.
"Clear." He stated as I nodded and saw to our right was a small burnt out kitchen.
Gabe now followed me as I walked in with my gun up to clear it myself.
"This whole area of the city is nothing but burnt down shit." I stated as he nodded and made a move to the left to head for the next room which was the remains of a living room.
"The middle east was always this way. Nothing but shit homes and even shittier people Vector. If you ask me this kind of place has no room on this earth. We should just wipe it clean off the map."
With the living room clear as well, I looked up to see a whole in the ceiling leading upstairs.
Taking my eyes off the empty hole I replied to the big bear.
"A little drastic don't you think? Haha."
Giving me a smile while glancing back, he replied.
"Maybe. Hehe."
As his laughter echoed throughout the room and our eyes remained locked, we both widened up as a flashbang dropped from the whole directly between us.
"Flash!" I shouted as it went off in both our eyes.
With my vision drenched in white, I panicked and swung my rifle as I felt someone take hold of my stomach and left me up. Bringing my back directly down into the floor, I let out a grunt as I heard Gabe asked through his broken vision.
"Where is he!?"
"On me!" I shouted as I felt a fist drilled my face.
Coughing up a tooth as I hit the ground in force, I widened my eyes as my vision cleared enough to see a boot coming.
"BASH!"
Black's POV.
"Beep! Beep! Beep!"
Looking back to Leo as his wrist went off, I asked.
"Where!?"
Looking to the computer he replied.
"It's Vector and Gabe! This way!"
Following in utter speed as he directed me outside. I grew furious and tensed up my body. I was gonna murder him for hurting my men.
Gabe's POV.
With my vision clearing, I looked forward to see Vector on the ground with his mouth and skull bleeding.
"Vector!" I shouted as it was clear he was out cold.
"Psshh!"
Immediately looking to my right I panicked as I saw a little hedgehog slam into my side.
Stumbling to stay on my feet, I began to grow mad as he even went as far to send a knife into my leg in the attempt to put me down.
Feeling my anger becoming high, I sent my fist down on the little man to watch as he backed off to the center of the room.
Reaching for the knife, I pulled it out to look at the man.
A fairly built but old looking gray hedgehog with green streaks running through his quills.
"You shouldn't have done that little man." I stated as he watched me charge.
Reach for his neck, I widened my eyes as he ducked under to send a hook up into my right cheek.
"Bash!"
Letting out a grunt as he sent three more, I soon managed to grab a hold of his vest.
Pulling him in, I picked him up off his feet to send him over into the nearby wall.
"BASH!"
Watching as his body went straight through to the other side. I wiped off my mouth of blood to ask.
"You know your dead now right!?"
Approaching the wall, I widened my eyes as he was gone from the wreak.
"What?!" I asked myself as I felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck in force.
"Ughhh! You little fucker!"
With him wrapped around me like glue, I took the chance to send us back first into another nearby wall. This time just slamming us into it, I began to panic as he wasn't fazed.
With each second depriving me of air, I started to stumble.
"You...fuck! I'm gonna...kill you!"
Getting desperate I jumped off my feet to turn for the floor.
The hedgehog's eyes went wide as I dropped right on top of him in all my force and weight.
"Ughh!" Hearing him gag under me, I smiled as his hands released my neck.
Quickly turning over, I got the chance to stare into his eyes.
"Your mine now little...!?"
Placing his knee under my throat, I widened my eyes as he took a grip behind my head to pull me in.
Unable to breathe, I swung my arm down at his head to watch as he side stepped it to keep me at bay.
Feeling my head going dizzy, I attempted to swung again. My arm went limp midway through to rest on his face.
Everything was going dark as he whispered.
"Go to sleep."
Raptor's POV.
With the big bear going still, I let out a sigh to push him off next to his other comrade.
Catching my breath, I stood back up to look down on the soldiers.
The were completely different from normal G.U.N. Uniforms were a dark black and bright neon blue. Even their gear was better then anything I've seen in the middle east.
Looking to the smaller set wolf who matched my old figure, I began to search his pockets to feel inside his side pouch. Taking out a round syringe, I widened my eyes to mumble.
"Venom?"
As thoughts and memories ran through my head, I heard from outside the broken down door.
"Beep! Beep! Beep!"
"Time to go." I said to myself as I placed the syringe behind my vest.
With time running slim, I took out a small piece of paper to place it down on the wolf's chest. With everything set, I ran for the other end of the building to exit out into the alley.
"Now for step two."
Black's POV.
Running into the building to widen my eyes, I ordered Leo who was shocked.
"Get Gabe! I got Vector!"
Nodding we made our way to check their vitals.
Checking his wrist, Leo stated.
"Their just out cold Captain."
"Fuck!" I shouted as I looked down to widen my eyes.
Seeing a small piece of white paper, I took it into my hands to open it up.
Leo looked to me as I read the words to myself.
