Lina Shade looked at the other young mage in her class, both with the opposite eye patched.. Linea Quintess stared back at Lina. "Why are you copying my spell book?" Lina asked Linea, "Ricken may be your teacher but mine is Miriel."
Linea sighed, shaking her head. "We are both mages of Ylisse... I'm surprised neither one of us has a Mark, like Lissa... do you really hail from here, Lina? Your magic skill is different... as if you don't even need a tome."
Lina looked dejected. "Linea, me and my brother, Sin, are from a small family just outside Ylisse." She had in fact been raised by an old farm couple, but vaguely remembers a purple haired young woman, a brown haired man and a honey blonde girl... she had a strong feeling the man and blonde woman were her parents, despite barely having any clear memories. "He is training to be a Sage under Lady Halidom herself... Emmeryn... are you just jealous that my brother gets to be with her?" Lina smirked.
Linea scowled at this, "listen, bitch, I am from a family with distant noble ties. I will be the better mage. You can guarantee it."
Lina just smiled. "Never change, Linea Quintess... never change." She walked off down the school hall, looking around. "We both have our curses... so let us train until our minds and tomes are full, then have a true match." A pinkish spell energy wrapped around her hand, a Mark of her mixed blood of Descender and Mewtwo. "If I meet you after we both leave Ylisse, we shall have a match to shake the galaxies."
Linea was walking the other direction and thought out loud. "Linea Shade... you definitely are not human... it's a low enough chance to survive such a spell backfire but... your story is very off... I will win."
