A sequel?! :0 as odd as it seems, yes! I had a lovely reviewer who suggested they wanted to see where things would go after Kagehina won at the Olympics, and I indulged my own curiosity as well! I hope you enjoy! Title again is from BTS, and their song "Stay Gold" this time. I do not own Haikyuu or BTS.

In a world where you feel cold

Gold medals were a hell of a lot heavier than TV made them seem. Hinata was overjoyed to receive his, but he was not prepared for the sudden weight around his neck, and he struggled to keep his head held high. He was proud of what he had done, damn it, and he wasn't going to show any weakness on the international stage.

Hinata tilted his head, looking out of the corner of his eye at his teammates, who had brought the highest sporting glory upon Japan. Of course, their victory had been assured as soon as he had been told Kageyama Tobio was going to be on the same team. Anything less than total victory was unacceptable for Kageyama, and Hinata was relieved to know that he, personally, had not brought any shame to their great nation.

Once the cameras had taken the requisite still images, Hinata pulled out of the numerical lineup and went to find Kageyama. It wasn't that Kageyama was the only person on the team Hinata was familiar with, but rather, he was Hinata's oldest and dearest friend and rival. Not wanting to celebrate the victory with his oldest teammate would have been simply ludicrous.

Hinata found Kageyama, sporting a similar medal around his neck, at the water station. As he approached, Hinata plastered on his million-watt smile.

"Tobio!" Hinata called, and the raven-haired man turned to the shorter man.

"Shouyou," Kageyama answered. He was fiddling with something behind his back, but Hinata paid him no mind, as he just wanted to discuss the hard-won sets that were, in his opinion, the best of his career. However, Kageyama seemed very fidgety, and that was incredibly unusual for the setter.

"Tobio? Is something wrong?" Kageyama wouldn't look him in the eye, and Hinata began to fear the worst. "Do you feel sick? Are you finally fed up with me? Is…?"

"Dumbass!" Kageyama exploded, and immediately looked mortified. "I…I mean…I…" His face was the color of Nekoma's jersey. He still hadn't removed his hands from behind his back. Hinata bit back the urge to laugh and instead placed his hand on Kageyama's shoulder. The taller man recoiled as though Hinata's hand were on fire.

"Kageyama. What. Is. Happening?"

Kageyama dropped to one knee and whipped his hands out from behind his back, extending a small black box to Hinata.

"With you by my side, as long as you're here, I'm invincible. Hinata Shouyou…will you please marry me?" Short, sweet, and to the point, and Hinata felt tears instantly spring to his eyes.

"Yeah," he said, taking the ring box in one hand and offering Kageyama a fist bump. After their fists connected, Kageyama rose and pulled Hinata close to kiss him in one fluid motion.

The tender moment did not go unnoticed by their teammates, and somewhat reluctantly, the newly-minted fiancés gave an impromptu interview to all the volleyball magazines. Suddenly, the entire volleyball universe was aflame thanks to the personal lives of two of its brightest stars.

Kageyama and Hinata didn't mind; they just kept their hands joined and answered one question at a time.

Later, once all the hubbub died down, Hinata posed a very important question to his fiancé:

"You were only gonna propose if we had won, right?"

"Yeah, that's right."

"What would you have done if we had lost?"

Kageyama dropped the towel from his wet hair and crossed the room to take Hinata's face between his hands.

"It was us playing, dumbass. There was no way in hell we would have lost." The absolute belief Kageyama held in their skills rendered Hinata speechless.

"I love you, dumbass."

"I love you too, Tobio."

You gotta stay gold
