Chapter 83 – That You Will Need to Lead Yourselves.
Hunter's POV, Iraq Capital.
Black stood silent in front of me as I took a gulp of nervousness to the question I was about to ask him. But with high concern I asked him.
"Is he okay?"
Letting out a sigh he replied.
"He needs time alone."
"But is he okay?" I asked again more serious as he looked directly into my eyes to reply.
"He's hurting. Wreak was his best friend; I can tell just by looking at him. The fact that he was asleep and unable to help his friend is probably what is tearing him apart inside. I told him he needs to understand what Wreak did was not his fault. Wreak died protecting what he believed in, and that is Raptor. Once he comes to terms with that can he move on. That's why I urge you now Hunter, give him time to himself. Which for a matter of a fact is something you should be doing." He stated as he pointed at me strongly.
"You've been through just as much today. Go to bed. Nothing more can be done today."
"But what about Jagger and Ruby?" I wondered as he began to walk away. Stopping a foot passed me he replied.
"Leave them to me. They won't get away with Wreak and the others they killed today. I promise you that much."
"And Archer?" I then asked as he let out another sigh to reply.
"I'll handle Archer. He's hurting just as much as Raptor is. Only difference is no one can restrain him."
"Do you want me to come with you?" I asked as he shook his head to reply.
"No. I'm sorry but you'll just get in the way. I need to do this myself."
Nodding my head, Black turned to leave. But before he could exit my view I shouted.
"Black!"
Turning back to look at me, I smiled and said.
"Thank you for saving me."
Cracking a small smile, Black made his way back to the main lobby.
Black's POV.
With a slight bit of happiness in my heart, I made my way down the main stairs and towards the front door. I don't know if I could hear him or just sense him, but as I walked outside I saw Archer was already letting loose.
Pacing back and forth in front of his car out in the parking lot, I slowly approached to watch as he suddenly opened his driver side door. Without any further warning, I widened my eyes as he sent his boot into the inside of the door. The door itself couldn't take the hit and in an instant it snapped halfway off the hinges. Still held by his anger, Archer sent one more boot into the door forcing it to come off. Men all around the perimeter stared on in shock and awe as I stopped a few feet away from the scene.
"Aghhhhh!"
Approaching the door behind the driver's seat, Archer sent his fist into the glass window.
"Smash!" Glass shattered the ground and inside the car as Archer pulled back a few feet to turn my way. His eyes quickly glanced at me to shout.
"Leave me the fuck alone!"
"I can't do that." I told him as he began to pace again in front of the car.
"I'm serious Black! You don't want to fuck with me right now! I will hurt you!" He stated as I let out a sigh to reply.
"That's why I can't just leave you alone. You need to calm down. Raptor is just as upset as...?!" Cutting me off Archer screamed.
"FUCK RAPTOR!"
I went silent instantly as he suddenly came at me.
"Wreak was my god damn best friend! Sure we didn't get along all the time and I hated him just as much as I hate you, but that doesn't mean I didn't love him like family! Raptor!? He's so fucked up in the head right now I could care less how he feels about all this! You understand me!?" He asked as I shook my head to reply.
"Raptor is not the problem here. What is, is the fact that I can't have you losing your shit like this. I of all people shouldn't have to tell you this, but we need you. But we can't if your throwing a fit and beating the shit out of your cheap car."
Looking to his car then back to me Archer replied.
"I can beat the shit out of something else! You wana see...!?"
Throwing a punch at me with all he had, I ducked and backed up to shout.
"See! Your just as lost as Raptor is right now! But unlike you I got him to calm down!"
"You want me to calm down!?" He questioned as he kept coming at me.
"How about you do what I told you and leave me the fuck alone!"
Ducking another one of his swings, I moved to the right and urged.
"Stop this Major! I don't wana hurt you!"
"Try it! It's about time I teach you a lesson!"
Clearly Archer was out of his mind. Sending one last hook at me, I ducked under his arm and sent my shoulder full force into his chest. Immediately Archer was sent back by the power and into his car door that rested on the ground next to us. Now fully enraged Archer ran up and tackled himself into my chest.
Using what strength I had left, I pinned us to his car and held his neck with my left arm. Choking him out I shouted.
"Calm down!"
Slamming himself into me a few times to get me to release him, Archer quickly pulled back to send another hook at me. This time I ducked and grabbed the inside of his arm. But with all my speed I pulled him back and downward into the top edge of the car. With a full slam of solid metal hitting him in the dead center of his face, Archer was instantly knocked out cold as all the men around grew closer and closer to the fight.
Going down with his body, Archer and I hit the ground roughly at the same time. After letting out a thick gasp for air did I look to him.
"Fuck! I didn't want to hurt you!" I stated in anger as Mason came running outside to see what was going on. Catching me in the act he shouted.
"What the hell is going on!?"
Remaining seated next to Archer I replied.
"I tried to talk to him Mason! But he wouldn't listen! He came at me and I had no other choice! He was going to hurt someone regardless even if I didn't intervene!"
Mason knew I was right. Coming towards us he ordered.
"I'll handle Archer! You get back to your post! I can't have my men killing each other!"
Slowly getting up onto my feet once more, I replied.
"Fine. But if he wakes up pissed you better have a plan. He's in no mood to talk things out about Wreak."
Nodding Mason replied.
"I got it! Just go Black!"
With the men around looking to me as if I was some sort of badass, I proceeded to the cell block where we were keeping Jagger and Ruby. Even if Archer was going to kill me I was at first going to deal with these two in the morning. First step is figuring out where the rest of the team is at. Gorgon can't be too far behind if he found out about the failed attempt on Raptor's life.
Commander Drake Linnen's POV, The next morning.
I sat here biting my thumb. Shadow was on the line not too long ago. He told me everything. Jagger and Ruby, two of the best soldiers in G.U.N, captured? By rebels none the less. Hahahaha it made me laugh so hard to find out those two were in rebellion hands about now.
With my intentions on telling Gorgon about the failed assassination attempt, I knew he would just jump the gun and roll on down there to get his men back, but I was going to enjoy this chance. Gorgon thinks he has all the dirt on me here, but now I can start fighting back. So far only me and Shadow know about Jagger and Ruby. I plan to keep it that way till their both dead. The less muscle Gorgon has the better my chances will be when the time comes. But I knew sooner or later he would find out something. Till then though I plan to keep quiet about this little hiccup. It will be all the better when he finds out he's too late to save them.
With my feet kicked up I urged in my own head.
"Go on Raptor. Show those two clowns what you can do."
"Hahahahaha!" Letting out a laugh of my own I looked to the clock above my door.
I wonder how long it will take.
Ruby's POV, Iraq Capital, Interrogation room.
"Ahhhh?" Opening my eyes I found myself in a dim lit room.
"What the fuck? God damn it Jagger. You fucking asshole." I stated out loud to myself as I felt my hands tied behind my back.
With most of my feelings coming back to my body, I noticed I was tied to a steel chair. In front of me was a metal table. I knew what this was. These clowns won't get a word out of me.
Anger came to me soon enough and with a sharp tone I mumbled.
"I won't talk."
Bringing my voice forward I shouted.
"You hear me you rebellion fucks!? I won't talk! Might as well just cut me loose so I can kill you now for touching me!"
Shaking in my seat, I looked up as the door leading into the room opened.
"Do you ever just know when to relax Ruby?"
Adjusting to the quick feeling of light in my eyes, I felt my heart skip a beat as Black came walking in alone. He looked so god damn hot. Fuck I hate this guy. The things he does when I look at him.
Wearing Rebellion gear as he shut and locked the door up behind him, I asked.
"What's it like playing for the losing team cutey?"
Smiling as he turned to face me, Black replied.
"From where I'm standing your the one losing this battle Ruby."
"Just wait, Gorgon and the others will knock down this door once they find out what happened. You know it too."
Nodding Black approached to sit back against the table.
"I'm sure, but hey this is how I see it right now. We stopped you and Jagger. We can stop the others."
Smiling back at him I questioned.
"You know Gorgon and the others. You caught us on luck. Which reminds me, can I see that fucking snake and punch him in the mouth for getting me in this mess?"
Chuckling Black replied.
"Afraid I can't. See Jagger did something bad. Now hold on! I know what your thinking. Jagger? How could he do something bad? Well you see Ruby...?"
"Stop talking to me like I'm a moron Black!" I ordered him as he looked me in the eyes to nod once. Soon enough he just said it.
"He killed Wreak. Now personally I didn't know him. But he was quite honestly an important guy to a few key figures around here. Now I have no say in what happens to ether of you after this conversation. So Ruby let's be honest about this. I know you just a well as I know Jagger. So I know I'm right when I say Linnen is using you guys. We both know him and Gorgon are going to butt heads soon enough."
"Linnen is an asshole. Alright? You get that? I could care less about him and Gorgon wanting to stab each other over their stupid games. But despite that I know Gorgon. He won't stand by and let that prick do what he wants."
Nodding Black replied.
"Then let me ask you this."
Standing up straight in front of me Black asked with a direct question.
"Who is the spy Linnen sent to watch over us?"
"I don't know anything about Linnen's other operations he may have going on Black. You know just as well as me we are kept in the dark about all the other bullshit. Jagger and I were sent here to kill Voltz. That's all."
Raptor's POV.
Everyone stood behind the one way window we had in the room. And everyone glanced to me as Ruby stated the intentions behind the attack. And that she and the snake were the only ones sent to handle the problem. But I already knew this.
Among me stood Marx, Misty, Mason, Hunter, and Archer. We all continued to listen as Black went on to reply.
"We know you were sent to kill Raptor. That much is clear. But that doesn't answer my question."
"Who's the spy?"
"I told you I don't know anything about a spy Black." Replied Ruby as Black let out a sigh.
My eyes watched him, when out of nowhere he swung a right hook into Ruby's head. Everyone but Archer and I widened their eyes as Ruby instantly coughed up blood to shout.
"What the fuck!?"
"Stop lying to me Ruby. You forget I know when your lying. You know who the spy is. Linnen didn't find out about Raptor leaving the Capital the other night just on luck. Someone told him and your going to tell me who."
Cracking her jaw Ruby replied in anger.
"I seriously have no fucking clue you cock! Now be a man and untie me so I can slit your throat for hitting me!"
Instantly Black sent a left hook. This time the power used sent Ruby and the chair to the ground. She remained tied to it as Black quickly pulled her back up straight to shout.
"I don't care what we had in the past Ruby! I know just how to break you! Don't make me go any further with this! Just tell me!"
Spitting in his face she replied as I was growing impatient.
"Go fuck yourself Black. I'm not talking to you."
Looking towards the window for conformation, I went on comm to order.
"Do it."
Nodding Black reached for his knife. Ruby followed the blade as he took it to the ropes holding her in the chair. Luckily her arms and legs were still tied as he then pulled her out of the seat and back onto the base of the table. Pinning himself on top of her Black asked again.
"Who's the spy!?"
Smiling Ruby replied.
"I love it when you get rough with me."
Sending a thick elbow into her face, Black shouted again.
"Who's the spy!?"
"Bash!"
Ruby soon stared off at the window we watched her from to reply.
"That's a big boy. Keeping hitting the defenseless female. Prove your tough."
With no remorse Black sent the knife in her right knee.
"Aghhh!" She screamed as Black held it there to wonder.
"Hurt? I know you get off on the pain so how about I give you some?"
"Do it!" She ordered him as Black pulled up on her kneecap.
With a red face Ruby screamed.
"AGHHHHHHHHHH!"
Staring into her eyes Black asked again.
"Who is the spy?!"
Biting her tongue to the question this time, I went to comm to urge.
"Don't hold back. Otherwise she won't talk. Do it."
With my words, Black pulled up on the last part of the blade. You could hear her kneecap pop out of place as the blade and bone could be seen through the tear in her pants it made upon exiting her skin.
Hunter shut her eyes as Ruby screamed so loud. I swear you could hear it halfway through the cell blocks.
With tears in her eyes Black switched knees to state.
"That's one leg! You ether talk or I make it so you never walk again! What's it going to be!?"
Keeping silent to us, Black sent the knife into her other kneecap. But this time there was no waiting, he just pulled up and popped out the second joint. The amount of screaming had to be making him deaf in there. Blood poured down her legs as Black slammed the knife down into the table to grab her and then toss her back into the chair.
After tying her back up did he say.
"I had hoped it wouldn't come to this but you leave me no choice Ruby."
"Where are you going?!" She asked as Black looked at the mirror.
Nodding my head I looked to the others who now focused on me to urge.
"I'll make this quick."
"Hurry will ya? I wana go see that snake." Stated Archer as I nodded and made my way for the door leading back into the hall. Black met me halfway to urge.
"Good luck."
"Won't need it." I replied as I opened the door leading into her room. After shutting it behind me did Ruby see who I was. Immediately she urged.
"Stay the fuck away from me!"
Taking the blade out of the table where Black left it, I roughly pushed Ruby's chair into the wall behind her. Her eyes continued to follow the knife as I went for her ear. Sensing what was about to happen she screamed.
"No! Stop you motherfucker! Don't touch me!"
I wasn't in any mood to listen to her and without care I began to cut from the base of her ear to the other complete side. This whole time my mind zoned out her screams as the blood poured out onto my hand and down her left side. Only when I was almost done did I hear her shout.
"AGHHHHHH! STOP! STOP PLEASE!"
With the blade coming out the other side, I took her left ear in my hand to then toss it onto the table. Ruby continued to only scream as I shouted with a dark tone.
"Who's the spy Linnen sent to join my Rebellion!? You ether answer my fucking question or I chop off the second one! Do you understand me!?"
Ruby was just about to answer me I'm sure, but hearing only tears and her pain did I just jump ahead and commit the act.
Slamming my forearm into the side of her head to force her still, I grabbed onto her right ear and sent the blade down.
Hunter's POV.
"AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
My ears lowered as Raptor was showing no mercy to her. The amount of blood she was losing was severe but it seemed like he didn't care. As I looked around it was clear Marx and Misty were the only other ones that seemed sorry for her. Mason, Archer, and Black just watched as Raptor tossed the second and final ear on the table. Ruby on the other hand could only cry as Raptor wiped the blood on his hands on his shirt.
"Talk!" He ordered Ruby as she shivered from blood loss.
Not holding back Raptor reach for her shirt. My eyes widened as he ripped it off her to scream.
"I hear you get off on pain! This should be fucking heaven for you then!"
Reaching for her bra, Raptor pulled down the left cup to expose her breast.
"Oh my god no." I muttered as Marx questioned.
"He can't be serious!"
Archer remained silent as we all watched Raptor slam the knife into her breast.
With a single pain filled scream Ruby begged before he could go any further.
"PLEASE STOP! I'll TALK! JUST DON'T...?!"
With his hand still on the knife as their eyes now locked, Ruby mumbled through her tears.
"I don't remember his name! Linnen just gave me his number so I could contact him when we were on site! It's in my cell phone!" She stated in agony as Raptor then asked.
"How much did he know about our operations!?"
Ruby now hesitated but Raptor slowly pushed on the blade that was still her breast. Instantly she screamed.
"Nothing! He only gave me your location when you were asleep!"
"What else!?" Ordered Raptor as he kept cutting into her.
"He told us about Wreak and a guy named Archer! That's all, I swear!"
My hands were covering my mouth, same as Misty as we watched this happen. Even though she answered the question Raptor suddenly brought the knife all the way through. Ruby's eyes opened so wide I thought they would pop out of her head. Her breast came clean off as Marx screamed.
"Stop Raptor! She can't take anymore!"
"Shut up Marx!" Ordered Archer as I just stared at Ruby as she screamed and cried her life away.
Tossing the chunk onto the table; same as the ears. Raptor rested the blade down to look back at the crying hedgehog.
"Consider this your last few hours on this planet. Cause the next time you see me I will be here and I will kill you. Do you understand me?"
Ruby was so lost in pain she couldn't even respond as Raptor left the room. Soon coming back to us covered in blood he looked to Marx and Misty to order.
"Stabilize her. I don't want her dying just yet."
Marx instantly ran for the interrogation room with Misty. Raptor's word was law right now as he showed his ruthlessness. As soon as they left he looked to Archer to order.
"Get me her phone. We're following this lead down as soon as we're done with Jagger."
Nodding Archer replied.
"I got it. I'll met you in time."
"I'll get heading there too. Let's not keep him waiting Commander." Urged Black as he followed Archer outside.
With them both leaving, Mason asked Raptor.
"Are you okay?"
Nodding Raptor replied.
"I'm fine. Like I already said I planned to make that quick."
"Did you have to cut her fucking breast off?" I asked him as he looked to me to reply.
"She's the top of the line. Trained to resist interrogation same as me. What they teach you is simple but not always true. Starting with the fact that most interrogations get worse over time. Slowly in fact. But I was trained to break people who believed in this. The key to a successful interrogation is being ruthless to the prisoner. You go slow, they build up immunity. I took that away from her so fast she wasn't able to control her emotions. That's what you got to do Hunter. You asked to be here for this. I told you it wouldn't make me look any bit nicer. This is part of war. You ether understand it, or you get the fuck away from it. Do you understand me?"
Nodding I replied.
"I understand Raptor. I'm just not use to it is all. I never saw you do this kind of stuff before."
"I was special forces for Shadow himself. I did this a lot during my time. I will get what I want from them. You just need to relax and let me work. Understand this is also personal. They killed one of my family. I will make them suffer."
Raptor was dead serious when he said that just then. I could see evil in his eyes as looked back into the room to see Ruby being treated by Marx and Misty.
Without another word Mason ordered.
"Let's get going to the main event. Archer has been waiting for this."
"So have I." Replied Raptor as they both left to proceed to the next interrogation room.
With my mind trying to absorb what he told me. I almost forgot how to move my legs. Maybe I'm not ready for this. But I already was committed. Proceeding after Raptor and Mason, I followed them into the next room. Black was already inside with Jagger and you could hear him screaming already.
Raptor had a nasty look in his eyes. Even worse then when he was hurting Ruby. And with Archer soon coming in behind us with the cell phone, he asked.
"You ready?"
Raptor nodded and replied.
"Let's do this."
Exiting the room, I sat and watched with Mason.
"Like he said, this is personal. I have no place here to stop them from killing this poor guy. But regardless you will see things you don't want too Hunter. You risk the scarring, or leave now while you can. Cause this will not be pretty."
In confusion I questioned.
"But Raptor...?" Cutting me off he urged.
"Leave now. I know you care for the Commander's well being Hunter, and I know he's already not in the right place as it is, but watching what he's about to do with Archer will make it seem like he's insane. It will scare you."
"I can handle it."
"Are you sure?" He questioned as I nodded with a half glass full.
"I'm sure. This is about Wreak, and getting some retribution for his death. I understand."
"We'll see if you understand at the end." Stated Mason as I looked into the room to see the door open.
