Love Struck Delusion

Chapter 90 – From Everyone.

Marx's POV, Iraq Capital, Medical bay.

I couldn't believe the number of men who were injured during Archer's training sessions. I was going to run out of supplies at this rate if he kept this up.

With Archer himself in need of medical care, I urged him as he sat before me.

"Can you take it easy for once?"

Shaking his head he replied.

"I have to make sure these men are ready before the war starts Marx. We can't afford for anyone to be left behind."

"Your going to get yourself killed." I told him as he shook his head to reply.

"If it's the price I have to pay to win this war, then so be it."

I had every right to hit him, but I was holding back. With the room going silent, I suddenly looked around as I heard my laptop going off. Archer took notice as I calmly walked over to see what was going on. My mind drew a blank as I saw Raptor's vitals dropping so suddenly.

"What the hell?" I muttered as Archer wondered.

"What is it Marx?"

"This has to be a mistake. God damn chips." I said as I checked to see what was going on. My eyes immediately widened as I saw that Raptor was suffering from internal bleeding in multiple major organs, including his lungs and kidneys.

"Ya this has to be wrong." I stated as Archer now came over to look for himself. His eyes instantly widened as well and in a panic he replied.

"I'll call Mason. It has to be a malfunction."

"Hurry." I urged him as I continued to monitor the status.

Mason's POV, Afghanistan Capital.

I felt myself coming through on my bed as I heard my phone going off alongside me. In a paced manner I grabbed it off the nightstand to answer.

"Mason here." I said with a tired tone as I got back a familiar voice.

"Hey Mason it's Archer."

Wiping my eyes I replied.

"What's going on Archer? You know what time it is?"

Chuckling Archer replied.

"That's why I'm calling. Listen I don't know if you're aware of this, but years back Marx installed Raptor and his special forces team with medical chips. Its a way for him to see if anything is wrong in the troops."

I nodded my head and stated back.

"I know. Raptor told me about it a long time ago. Is something wrong?"

Archer seemed confused himself as he then asked.

"Is Raptor with you?"

In confusion I replied.

"I don't know. Last time I saw him he went off to his room to get some sleep. I assume he's there, why?"

"Can you check? I wana make sure he's okay."

Standing up out of bed, I replied in a confused tone.

"I don't know what's going on Archer, but I'm sure Raptor is fine. What's the chip saying?"

As I got back on my clothes Archer replied

"Judging from what me and Marx are seeing it says he's suffering from internal bleeding. His vitals are low and in the red. It's a malfunction I'm sure, but just check in on him to be sure."

Now I was worried. But Archer had to be right. Raptor didn't leave the capital as far as I know. And if he did Black would be with him for sure. Exiting my room, I made my way a few doors down to see Raptor's door left open. Walking in the room I said.

"Raptor are you...?"

I instantly widened my eyes as I saw the bed empty and him no where in sight.

"Mason?" I heard Archer say over the phone I held in my hand. Looking around in loss for words. I put the phone back to my ear to say.

"He's not in his room. Just give me a minute. I'm going to check in with the night guards."

"Okay." Replied Archer as I put the phone back down to head for the entrance. With my men all there I asked.

"You guys see Commander Voltz? He's not in his room."

Nodding the squad leader in charge replied.

"Yeah he went out for a drive. Said he needed the fresh air."

With my heart racing I instantly questioned.

"He left?! How long ago?!"

Calmly one of the men replied.

"Couldn't have been more then fifteen minutes ago. Why? What's the problem Commander?"

Now in utter fear I ran for the stairs. As I was going up I went back on my phone to Archer to shout.

"He's not here! My men said he left a while ago for a drive!"

Archer now panicked and stated.

"You need to find him Mason! And right fucking now!"

"I'm working on it! Listen I'll call you back in a minute! He couldn't have gone far!"

"Mason you...!?" Hanging up the phone before he could finish, I quickly barged into Black's room where him and his men were resting.

"Black!" I shouted as he quickly awoke to see me in a tizzy.

"What's wrong?" He asked as him and his men were now all awake.

"Raptor is gone. I don't know where he went but Archer just phoned me from Iraq. Raptor might be hurt. We need to find him and now." I stated as Black immediately questioned.

"Gone? Hurt? What the fuck is going on?!"

As calmly as I could I replied.

"The night guards said he left for a drive no longer then fifteen minutes ago. He had to have taken one of our Humvees. I'll have the few other teams who are already out there start looking, but get your men and gear together and go find him."

Now in full gear Black replied.

"Got it. I'll radio in when I find him. Let's go!" He shouted as his men collected their gear.

Running for the door, I watched as they ran for the stairs. I followed behind and watched as they got outside to grab a nearby Humvee. As they left I asked myself.

"Where would he go this late? And why wouldn't he at least tell someone? Fucking god damn it Raptor!"

Heading for the barracks, I decided to get a few other teams out there working. G.U.N wouldn't like it but fuck them. They need to just stay out of the way until we find him.

Raptor's POV, Pete's Storage.

The world was silent as the gunshot echoed the warehouse like a bomb. Gorgon gently released my hand as I dropped Shadow's gun in complete shock of what I had just done. With all the men around staring at me, I whispered.

"No...no...Ghost?"

My son laid there. Blood spilled out of his head as his body was unmoving and lifeless. I couldn't feel my legs as I sat there staring in utter confusion of what to do or how to react.

"Ghost?" I said again as Midnight stared at me in silence. Her brother's blood on her face.

Gorgon's POV.

What I just made him do was probably the worst thing I could think of. I knew in death he would regret this moment. But with a strong stance I walked in front of the broken hedgehog to lean in to his view as he stared at his dead kid. Quickly he looked into my eyes and with calm voice I said.

"That was for Jagger and Ruby."

Not a word could pass his lips. He was in complete loss for what to do. And with the gentle placement of my hand on the top of his head, I pushed him back to urge.

"Now roll over and die."

Landing on his back, my men watched as Voltz continued to bleed out from the gunshots in his chest. Blood slowly rolled off the side of his lips as I retook my seat a few feet away. I wanted to watch and see what would happen next. I wana see this man wither and die.

Midnight's POV.

"Daddy?" I muttered in fear as I saw he was barely moving.

With blood in my eyes, I slowly crawled over to where he was laying to find him staring at the ceiling.

"Daddy?" I said again. This time my voice caught his attention. Slowly he looked over at me.

"I'm so sorry baby. I...I...?"

With his voice breaking apart, I began to cry again as he started to cry.

"I'm sorry!" He shouted as he put his hand on his wrist.

My eyes widened as he was freezing cold and with force he gripped me.

"Daddy?" I said in a confused tone. His hand was hurting me.

Looking back into his watering eyes, I panicked as he suddenly pulled me closer. With him painfully sitting up as he did it.

"I'm sorry baby!"

"Dad?! Your hurting me!" I stated in a scared tone as it was clear he wasn't going to let me go.

Unable to get away I widened my eyes as he said.

"I'll be right behind you baby. I promise."

Gripping me harder, I looked down to see his other hand going up. Looking back up I shouted.

"Dad...!"

"BANG!"

Raptor's POV.

Midnight's blood splashed my face as I fired one round under her chin. With her body falling into mine as I still held her wrist, I slowly looked back at Gorgon and his men. Every one of them was sitting there in shock as I asked.

"Happy now?"

Not a word dared to be said as I looked back at my dead baby girl.

"Who would have guess this would happen twice to me, huh?" I asked her as I lowered her body down on the ground. Letting go of her wrist, I looked back at the M1911 in my left hand. Covered in the blood of my own kids, I said.

"Just do it."

Looking back to see him sitting there. I tossed Gorgon the gun of my best friend to beg.

"Kill me. For the love of god, just do it."

With his eyes just staring at me as he stood up to grab the gun. I turned to him and got on my knees. Gorgon wasn't expecting this what so ever. But I knew this day would come. At least this time I won't be alone.

"Come on!" I ordered him as he approached me.

With Shadow's gun in his right hand, I stared into his eyes as he said in a sincere tone.

"I'm sorry."

With blood rolling down my chin. Tears pouring down my eyes. And my family's blood all over my hands. I stared into the barrel of my gun as he pulled the trigger.

"BANG!"

Gorgon's POV.

With the round hitting him the forehead, I watched as his body went back in a loud thump. Letting out a shaky breath, I stared at his body as blood began to pool under his head. Lowering the gun in my hand, I looked to it to sense it was important. But more then that, it was going to be my memento. A trophy for this day. I never saw a true act of demonic intentions until meeting this man. He killed off his last child without even thinking about it. Only a monster can do that and regret nothing afterward. Killing him was by far the most unsure thing I ever did. Part of me wished I would have spared him just so he could have lived with the memory of all that has happened today. But I know it wouldn't have ended well for ether side.

"Is it over?" Asked Tusk as I put the M1911 in my belt to reply.

"Yeah. It's over."

Unable to look away from the bodies, I shouted to the men around me.

"Pack it up! We're leaving!"

With everyone slowly breaking off from the scene, I turned to look at Scrotus who asked.

"What about the bodies?"

"Leave them."

"What about Linnen?" Questioned Blitz as I quickly replied.

"Fuck Linnen. It's over."

"What about proof?" Asked Scrotus as I calmly ordered.

"Grab his tags. That will be proof enough."

Nodding Scrotus gently made his way over to the body. I watched as he carefully pulled the dogtags off Raptor's neck. After putting them in his vest did he turn around to look at me and nod. Nodding back I ordered.

"Come on. Let's get going."

What I just saw honestly broke me inside. I never saw that coming from a man like Voltz. Killing him was a turning point for me. As soon as I had the chance I was leaving this country. Fuck this war.
