(Last chapter got updated, in case you missed it. Hopefully Fanfiction will stop these issues from happening in the future. Anyways, time for some more plot!)
Chapter 6: Fight Night
The first event they planned to change was a rather small one at first glance, but in truth, the outcome was a major factor of them losing. It was supposed to be a simple raid on a medical transport, getting various drugs. But it ended up with a major discovery that boosted Razoban's power, and his minions, by a lot. It was a new Quirk Boosting drug they had been transporting. Although the big boost is only temporary, sometimes one had a small fraction of that boost stay behind permanently. The drug itself is very difficult to make and expensive, unless of course you steal it and everything that is used to make it.
It was this drug that let Razoban mercilessly slaughter such a large amount of classmates.
The only issue was that the trio had no idea of knowing who was the ones sent to steal them, since they never discovered that in the first timeline.
"So, we will go with that plan then?" Rula asked, as the three of them watched the robbery site from a rooftop, wearing all black clothes and remaining concealed.
"Yeah. Just remember, we wont know who we are dealing with, so it might be dangerous".
"Indeed. But we can't lose either!"
"I will keep monitoring things from afar" Aoi said over the radio. "Also, the cover I set up is still holding. I set up a do not disturb sign on the door, and paid for three hours of karaoke time. So make sure you get back, because to make the story believable, I actually have to hear everyone sing quite a bit".
"Understood..." Rula said, a bit down. "...if only I had Sei or Tsu's singing voice".
The two boys blushed a little, not entirely happy to hear that, but used to it a bit right now not to react loudly and shocked.
"Anyways...look, here comes the truck" Tsukasa said, watching as the truck drove through the side street. It seemed absolutely normal, however all of a sudden, black wind appeared and dragged the truck right into a side alley. Since it was dark and at night, and they didn't make much noise, no one heard a thing.
"Oi, what was that just now?"
Except Aoi of course, who had taken off his headphones.
"Its begun. Please let us know if anyone else is coming. ALso, how many assailants?"
"Three. Both guards are knocked out, one sounds like he is about to kill the guards though!"
The three quickly moved forward, Tsukasa accelerating them, and Sei manipulating gravity so they make it there without too much of an impact. Rula immediatley went and kicked one guy in the face, sending him sprawling backwards, although he seemed to land on both feet, his sword out and raised. However...in that instant, the two others had vanished. ANd in the next instant, their masks were shredded.
"Well now, I didn't expect these faces...Blackwind, divie them up" the one with the sword said, when suddenly Rula got dragged off in one direction by black wind, and Sei in the other, each being pulled into a mazing network of allies covered in pitch darkness.
Tsukasa recognized the guy in front of him immediately. He was the Villain known as Shredder. As for his quirk...
Tsukasa tried to dodge as he swung his sword, but despite the sword itself not hitting him, his clothes got cut up a bit, and his skin felt sore.
"Oh...truly, to think we would encounter you children from a hero course here...dont act all surprised, of course we would be aware of children of the greatest hero, and their friends. I will truly have so much fun playing with you" Shredder said, licking his lips.
Shredder's Quirk was Slash Trajectory. He could manipulate, alter, control any slash action or trajectory. A Quirk that combined with his sharp weapons like his sword and knives, made him very dangerous. ANd unfortunately, he had a sick mind.
Meanwhile, Sei found himself facing off against Blackwind. Sei found himself blasted back into a wall.
"I remember you. Your Quirk is gravity manipulation. Unfortunately for you, my Quirk and ability to fight do not rely on gravity at all. You will be like puddy in the hands of my Quirk".
ANd meanwhile, Rula was taken into an area that suddenly became unnaturally dark.
"Ah yes. I heard about you from the rumors. Best friends to the children of the legendary Deku and Eri. You have an ocular based Quirk, like your mother...but that means, if you cant see, your Quirk is powerless is my bet".
As that was said, Rula was kicked in the back from behind.
"Lets have some fun now, okay girlie?"
Suddenly, she got attacked again, the dark cloud seriously messing up her senses. It was not just sight, this cloud, this smog, reduced hearing, smell, even taste and touch felt affected.
"Poison?!" she realized, covering her face.
"Unfortunately for you, my Smog can be absorbed directly through the skin" he replied smugly. "As lowly street criminals, we dont get many opportunities to play around".
He then attacked her from the left, kicking her right in the side. However, in that same moment, she managed to attack him right back with a punch, getting him in the right arm rather well.
"You bitch!"
Meanwhile, Tsukasa was attempting to dodge the slashes coming after him while attacking.
"Undo!"
He tried to undo the slashes, but the some of them had taken directions outside of his Undo action, and hit him from the sides. He was accelerating himself faster, but the slashes moved even faster then him.
"Shred storm!"
Tsukasa tried to move out of the way, but all the clothing, including his boot, on his right leg and arm became shredded, and both limbs screamed in pain. He attempted to undo them, but then another shredstorm cannon came targeting the others. He attempted to undo that as well, but they just kept coming.
"Pause!"
Suddenly, he tried to freeze Shredder in place, but he used his own slash trajectories to block it.
"As expected. Most people think of time Quirks as godly, but there is a sad truth to them. I am sure you are already aware. That is...they lack proper offensive ability. You cannot attack me directly with your quirk, and you cannot get close to me because of my quirk and how skilled I am with it. Now, let us see the truth..."
As he said that, he unleashed a barrage of cuts. Tsukasa's entire body became red from pain as all of his clothes were reduced to nothing. He collapsed from the pain, just barely covering himself with his knee. However, that was not what would draw everyone's attention. No, instead it would be drawn to his entire body, his skin in general, as countless lines of bright blue energy could be seen. They appeared to go across his entire body, as if tattooed there, with an especially strong glow from his back.
"As expected...just like your mother, your Quirk has a physical manifestation of how much energy it has on your body. THe more you use it, the more the lines glow I am guessing, and they only appear after constantly using your quirk over a period of time. Constant activity reveals it, but I am willing to guess that the lower your energy reserves become, the weaker the glow. This is the true appearance of your Quirk" Shredder said, amused by the display. Tsukasa tried to Undo, but a slash flicked his hand away before he could trigger it. "And it seems, for most of your power, you have to use your hands to bring it forth. Now that is explained. Its because of the physical aspect, you need a way to release it, or something like that".
He said that as he got closer, getting a better look at Tsukasa, his body and his Quirk, while remaining vigilant.
"Maybe I should take you with us, to Elerion, so I can keep you as my pet and play with you whenever I want" he said with a nasty and evil smile.
Meanwhile, Sei was not doing much better...
"I expected more of the son of Deku, but I guess you did inherit your mother's quirk more then your father's. Oh well" Blackwind said, as he was strangling Sei while holding him up in mid air. Sei however unleashed a gravity pulse to try and break free, but Blackwind's Quirk, Blackwind, was not affected by gravity. "So sad. It looks like you cant do much but choke and die".
"Its not...over...yet..." Sei muttered, as a fire lit within his eyes. "Gravity...pull!"
Suddenly, several objects his by the pulse emitted their own field of gravity, and pulled Sei right out of it, and right towards Blackwind. Blackwind tried to dodge, but Sei managed to spin around and kick him right in the face.
However, immediately after Blackwind used his quirk and slammed Sei against a wall again.
"You think that would be enough to beat me?!"
And Rula was having her own difficulties...
"You bastard...you think you can beat us?"
"Three brats against three hardened street thugs? Please. Regardless of who you know and who your parents are, this matchup is the worst for you!"
"No...this is not the worst matchup" she said, closing her eyes. She felt the shift of the wind, and then immediately kicked out in a direction.
"Guh?!"
"Gotcha" she said.
"Please! You are just warmup! We are going to take down everyone, and take what is rightfully ours! And then all your ships will belong to us, for our shipyards, our fleets!"
"Ha. Like you could do anything that good. You dont even have the space".
"We have a large enough space for our masterpiece!" he replied, attacking agian with a knife. She felt the shift however, and counter attacked, kicking him again. "You bitch...why are you getting stronger...what are you up to?"
"Ah, seems like you caught on. Very well...Amari Secret Art: Whirlwind Strike!"
Suddenly, with her eyes turning silver, she moved so fast in a circular motion, in such a way that the smog around her was dispersed, and the effect on her already fading.
"The...hell?"
"You believed simply cutting off my eyesight would be enough? I am Rula Amari, inheritor of the Amari Martial Arts School".
As she said that, she reflected upon the three guiding principals of her Martial Arts School.
-Pure of Body: Respect one's body. Train it every day, but also allow rest when needed. Do not overwork it, or underwork it. Do not be ashamed or embarrased of one's natural body, and do not foster feelings of shame or embarrassment in other's natural bodies. Do not taint the body with harmful substances and drugs, only use what is good or required. The natural body is nothing to neglect, nothing to fear, and nothing to taint. By not doing those things, one acquires a pure body, one that is honorable, healthy, and cherishable.
-Pure of Mind: Constantly keep a healthy mind, and respect one's mind. Trust your own instinct, but do not let it rule you either. Do not let a single thought or feeling rule over you, and constantly be aware of oneself and one's own thoughts. Do not let it be corrupted by thoughts of dark intention, but ensure you do not neglect the desires of the body or the spirit. Do not deny pleasures you seek, but ensure you moderate well and do not indulge. Remain active, vigilant, and alert. Show trust and thought, but also never forget to question everything. And ensure the ability to calm the thoughts in your head when necessary, and be able to focus on your goal, without letting it overwhelm and rule you.
-Pure of Spirit: Ensure your heart is pure and well. If something troubles you, do not suppress it, but express it. Do not allow the views of others to influence your view. Passion and love are not weaknesses, they are strength. Have good interactions, make friends that you can rely on, and while you should not let them consume you, it is fine and healthy to pursue desires, especially those of the spirit, so long as it is done properly and responsibly. Never waver in front of a foe, but instead show that you are not one that can be corrupted, used, or hurt so easily. Although there are times that you will fail, as all people do, it is not the end. You can always pick yourself up, and keep pushing forward.
In this case, the most important part is Pure of Body. It meant a lot of things. But it did not just mean to eat healthy, or to never be embarrassed about being naked with others, or such things. It did not just mean not to do harmful drugs. It also meant that one should train their body, and keep it at a level where even when poisoned, they could repel it. How that is interpretted varies a bit, but because her body is in such amazing condition, it was able to fight off the Smog rather quickly.
And her Quirk might be far less effective when she cant see, but her Quirk was not her only method of fighting. After all, she was a trained master of the Amari Martial Arts, and had mastered many of her own Secret Arts.
"To someone like me, someone like you...is the most ideal prey".
"Ha...can you really talk like that? Your friends are still at a disadvantage! They don't know Martial arts like you after all".
"Are you a moron?" she said. "I am the more assertive one of us all. You think I didn't make them train with me several times over?"
"...eh?"
"They are both actually high ranking members of the Amari Martial Arts School".
"Gah?!" Shredder Said, when suddenly Tsukasa pushed off of his back foot and headbutted him. At the same time, he felt his right arm get dislocated, but he backed up before he got the left, drawing a spare sword with it.
"Mass Undo" Tsukasa said, as all of his clothes reverted in an instant, back on him as well. "I swear, I didn't think you would be so vulger, or take so long to give up information. I knew some of the bases, but Elerion? Thats a new one, I never discovered that one in my research".
Shredder got mad and annoyed for the first time. "You bastard...you were playing with me?"
"Repeat times ten".
Suddenly, Shredder went flying into the wall behind him.
"You were right though, currently at least, I lack any major offensive ability. But unfortunately for you, I have a very pushy friend who made me attend various sessions of Amari Martial Arts training. Unfortunately, one of their tenants is to be okay with your natural body, even among others, so me and her always had to share a bath among other things. But as a result, even in that state of complete embarrassment, which I am mad about and will pay you back for, I was able to keep a clear head and keep planning".
"You little brat!"
"Age".
Suddenly, his blades all began to rush. ANd when Shredder looked into Tsukasa's eyes, a cold and large amount of hatred was there.
"Repeat times ten".
Suddenly, that headbutt from before, that level of force was felt on his stomach ten more times.
"And any injury I can inflict I can then repeat, though I admit it is quite exausting" he said, as he took out several sugary snacks and ate them all. "Ahh, much better".
"That's it...DIE!" he said, revealing a hidden blade and throwing all of his powers into it, planning on shredding Tsukasa along with his clothes this time. He even made sure it would hit every single place in front of him, so Tsukasa could not even dodge. Yes, it was perfect...
Or at least that is what he thought, but then he opened his eyes.
"No...no way..." he said, as he saw something impossible. A pair of butterfly wings made of blue lines of energy, just like what ran across Tsukasa's body, had appeared on his back, and he was flying.
"Impossible...what the hell..." he said, when Tsukasa landed with a kick to his face, sending Shredder sprawling backwards.
"To think you made me reveal these. No matter, because I will reverse your memories to before this battle took place" Tsukasa said, floating up above him.
"Oi, Tsukasa...why do you have wings?" Aoi asked.
"Why does my mother have a horn?" Tsukasa replied.
"I see. I did hear that Quirks were getting more and more complicated compared to what they used to be, so I guess this falls within normalcy".
"Oh, you used Wing Mode?" Rula said, dragging an unconscious person with her.
"I needed to fly to avoid his attack. Well, I could have just undoed it, but I was mad and wanted to shock him. Even if I am just going to reverse his memories".
"Well thats fine, but just to be safe, I will remove their memories first, then you rewind. If we both do this, it should be well beyond impossible for them to recall anything...ah, what about Sei?"
"By now? He should have stopped pretending to be weaker then he is, since by now they would have leaked soemthing if they were going to leak anything. Ah, I got a location by the way".
"I got a description of a facility, not sure if its the same as your location".
"I wonder if Sei got anything?"
On that note...
"Hmm...I suppose maybe I shouldn't kill you. Boss Ryomaru will probably find a way to make use of Deku's son if we capture him" Blackwind mentioned.
"Amari Secret Art: Whirlwind Strike!"
Suddenly, the black wind was dispersed in an instant.
"What the..." he said, as Sei dashed towards him. "Impossible!"
"Thanks for giving me the bosses name, finally" Sei mentioned. "Sorry about this! Amari Martial Art: Stun Palm Strike!"
Suddenly getting a palm attack to the head, targeting several pressure and vital points in the process, incombination with gravity maniplation to increase the force, Sei knocked Blackwind out with a single hit.
"Just so you know, everything gets affected by gravity. Even wind and air" Sei mentioned.
"Hey guys!" Sei said, dragging his own person behind him. "I got the name of their boss!"
"Nice going Sei!" Rula said.
"I hope you didn't suffer or get embarassed too much" Tsukasa added.
"Suffer a bit...why embarassed though?"
"Eh?" Tsukasa muttered, stunned.
Rula immediately grabbed Tsukasa, and they turned away so Sei wouldn't hear while whispering.
"You guy was a pervert right?"
"At least a little bit, yeah. Yours?"
"Super pervert. The ultimate pervert".
"Well, women do feel defeated by your looks sometime...not as badly as Aoi tho".
"Oi" Aoi said over comms.
"But this is good though...it means Sei's innocence was protected!"
"Yeah yeah!"
"Umm...guys? Shouldn't we erase their memories and leave before the police show up?"
"Ah, right! And then, we follow tradition!"
And so, after removing the memories, rewinding their memories just to be extra safe, and then removing any evidence of the injuries inflicted on them, they left, making sure some alarm was triggered to bring the police this way in the process.
"...I dont see why I am here" Aoi said, his face red.
"You are part of the team of course! And teammates should always bond like this, especially after Kareoke!" Rula mentioned, as the four of them stood at the water's edge in towels.
"But...I am a boy...and you are..."
"We are heroes! Stuff like gender does not matter!" she said, yoinking the boy's towels and tossing them into the bath.
"Just give it up".
"The Amari Martial Arts School...I think I understand how brutal it was for you" Aoi said, putting his headphones back on.
"Are those waterproof?"
"Of course! If they weren't, when I take my bath, id hear every single thing coming from the girl's bath! Being naked with a girl is embarrassing for sure, but compared to listening to girl bath talk..." Aoi said, his face going red and sinking into the water, bubbles coming out instead.
"...sounds tough".
"Ah! I forgot! Gotta wash Aoi's back first!" Rula mentioned.
"Let Sei or Tsukasa do it!" Aoi pleaded, embarrased to the max already.
And so, Aoi became an official member of their team that night. However, the was one last thing left to discuss.
"...speaking of which, there is something I want to go over" Aoi said, was they were washing each other's backs. Unfortunately he got stuck with Rula after all and was sitting in her lap, so this was moreso to distract him. "I understand stopping them from stealing the drugs and medical supplies...but why did we take them?"
Yes, the group had taken the very drugs they stopped those three from taking for themselves. The medicine, the Quirk Boosting Drugs, all of it.
"Because even without them, Razoban is a threat" Rula said. "If something goes wrong, we will need the boost. Honestly, while I do think less people will die, I think if the entire class fought Razoban right now, he would still win, and we would still get casualties. That said...I might be wrong, because he still has not stolen Mend and Maim".
"Ah yes...the Quirk of the actual pervert" Aoi mentioned. "She must feel lucky. There are so many short, young looking boys in our class".
"The odds of that happening are strange, but I think its a part of this one theory going around. That because some people are developing Quirks that are stronger, they take more nuitrients from the body, which results in smaller and more childlike bodies. I mean, look at Deku. He was one of the shortest of his class, and he was also the strongest".
"And all of you have strong Quirks too. I am the tallest of us, and I am a girl. However, my Quirk is also the weakest".
"I am still surprised by Tsu-kun's butterfly wings" Aoi admitted.
"His quirk was essentially almost universally originated from his mother. Although, its only this strong because of diligence and training" Rula mentioned. "It used to be weaker when he was in Pre-school. I hear his mother's Quirk meanwhile was extremely potent and powerful even when she was young".
"But yeah, anyways...so why are we keeping them then?"
"Because we never know when we might need medical supplies. When Razoban makes his move, we should be stocked. And if we ourselves use the Quirk Boosting Drug when that faceoff occurs, if it does occur...if he got his hands on other Quirk boosting drugs later after he failed this time, he would still be dangerous. In that case, boosting ourselves may be the only option to survive. And if he doesn't, the odds would still be better for us if we had them. After all, our goal is to prevent a single death, at least in our class".
"You think you can? Even though he wiped out the entire class last time, from what you have said?"
"Yes. Because we know what is coming, and this time, we will do better. Speaking of which...in a few days, the next event will begin. And that is when things will get especially problematic".
That sort of phrase left them all speechless, as they understood just how difficult it would be.
And so, they went to enjoy their bath and celebrate their victory while such things were on their minds.
Known Timeline Changes: (The last three chapters were all the same day, keep in mind)
Aoi became a member of the team and learned more about the truth, and the future.
The trio defeated three grunts of Razoban's villain empire, secured emergency supplies, and ensured none of them would report back about them.
The trio learned about their shipyard where they are constructing a "masterpiece", a place called Elerion (unknown if same place as the shipyard or not), and that their boss is named Ryomaru.
Aoi gets closer to the team.
Known Timeline Consistencies: (decided to include this for the fun of it this time)
The team celebrates through hot springs, mixed baths, and group activities, because Rula insists everyone be comfortable and equal with each other no matter what.
Sei's innocence is preserved.
Razoban is not aware of the current and growing threat to him and his plans.
Azaken's plans so far remain unchanged.
