"Hi guys. I am Liliana. I was born in 1934 in Germany as Liliana Rosemarie Müller. I can hardly remember the first years of my life. Only one thing. My mother was often panicked. I also had a little sister, Marianne. She should never get to know our father. Father died in the war in 1942 when I was just six or seven years old. What I can remember later was the many nights in some kind of basement, to which my mother often ran with my little sister in her arms and after her, came me. What I also remember the one time when we forgot father's photo and I ran back. That would save my life. Mother and Marianne died in the hail of bombs. It was March 1945. I came to live with my grandmother, the last member of my family. What I can remember afterwards is above all the great hunger. I felt like I was never full. The great winter came and Grandmother tried hard. She got weaker and weaker and finally she got sick. She died in the spring of 1946. The neighbors took care of me temporarily for the time being. I was supposed to be picked up soon, but then it happened. I was just about to get my things out of the room that my grandmother and I shared. It wasn't much, but it was something. Photos. Pictures of father, pictures of mother, Marianne and me. Pictures of grandmother and some jewellery. Mother's medallion with the wedding picture of father and mother, with both grandparents and a picture of Marianne and me. The only one where we'd ever get together like I was on my way to see our neighbors. Neighbors, well neighbors from the past. Before we were bombed out. Then I saw a few children playing and all of a sudden there was a big, loud bang and I fell into a side street. All of a sudden my stomach hurt a lot and I got a little dizzy. I saw a person lean over me. Felt a bite on my neck and felt it, the greatest pain, a burning sensation I should ever feel in my life. I woke up three days later and looked into the caramel eyes of a girl with short black hair. I felt a terrible burning sensation in my throat.
"Hello, I am Alice. I've already seen, we will become very good friends. "She said to me. What? What do I do about this sensation in my throat. I looked around, we were in some forest. "I'm sure you're hungry. With a little luck we could catch a wolf. "Wolf?" I asked her. "Yes, we have to move on soon. But it might make sense if you have a drink beforehand before you slaughter a whole village! "" Slaughter the village? "I asked. "DRINK!"
"Oh, I forgot to tell you. You're a vampire now! "
I looked at her. Was she crazy? "She suddenly looked at me with wide eyes. And I smelled it, the loveliest scent I've ever heard. The burning sensation in my throat grew stronger. I ran off. Alice right on my heels and that's when I saw her. A little young girl. Wait a minute, what am I doing here! I stopped. This little girl smelled so delicious, but I can't .. I held back. I smelled something else. If so, not as appetizing as a girl, but still enjoyable. I changed my way, aprubtly . Got ready to attack. How can I do that? What am I doing? And bit down unto a big wolf and drank! The burning in my throat subsided. I looked at Alice. "Vampire? Like in the fairytales? "" Yes, but also no "was her answer and she looked at me and explained it to me. "So you know, some vampires have special abilities. I can foresee the future and that's when I saw you for some reason. So I walked across the great ocean to find you. You were bitten by a tracker but it got stuck. Know that most vampires make a living from humans. Years ago I saw myself drinking a vision of a bear and, although with some initial difficulties, I switched to animals. Obviously that's no problem for you. "" I just couldn't. I saw this little living girl and just wondered what I was doing here. The wolf just now was delicious. "" How old are you actually. You still seem relatively young? "" Oh, I just turned 12! "I said proudly. "12, that's still relatively young. I am seventeen. I think so anyway. Do you still have family? You can't go back You know, you will stay 12 forever "I said that I should soon go to an orphanage, which was currently extremely overcrowded. Then she suddenly looked into space again. "Oh, we have to go to the US," she said. "It'll be a surprise for both of us." So a bit crazy, she looked to me, but somehow I liked her straight away, like a sister.
After a while we arrived. Fish blood is really not my cup of tea. I was happy when we got out of the ocean. but even when we met people, I was in control. Even if thirst rose in me, I could never drink from a person. Some flowers smell very nice too, but that's not why I would eat them. Alice said I had the natural control and that that could possibly be my talent. I wasn't exactly enthusiastic about it, but then she only said that she was allowed to get to know vampires who had no special talent at all. I grabbed the locket around my neck. Fortunately, I still had it with me. It was very important to Alice that I learn English. She even values the accent. She said I study well. One day, while we were hunting, she somehow got hold of a newspaper and then the question came up. "How did you feel about the regime in which you grew up?" I replied that you really couldn't object to it. Mom had said at some point that her parents were probably against the regime and that was the reason why I was never allowed to get to know these grandparents. This regime had cost me my father. I was scared when I said this sentence. When I said that to mom, she looked around in panick and slapped me in the face. I said that I shouldn't actually say something like that out loud and Alice didn't go into it further. A year later, I really learned to trust Alice, but she was suddenly in a particularly good mood on one morning. The day before, when she really wanted to go hunting again, she had extremely complained that my clothes had become dirty again and she had to get me new ones, which I didn't understand. I meant we live in the forest. Suddenly she really wanted to go to dinner that day. "Alice, what do we want there? I do not want to go to a diner again. We can't do anything there anyway and there are just a few boring humans! "" Lily come on now, you'll see. I saw ... "" You had another vision. "I rolled my eyes. "Alice!" I pleaded with her. We'd gone to restaurants from time to time. Alice said so that we don't unlearn to live among people. There we often pretended to be siblings in transit who were on their way to see their relatives. And I have to say. I absolutely didn't feel like doing that today. "Just trust me." She said and we came to this diner. "Can I wait outside?" I asked.
