Hello peeps and peepettes so i was trying to figure out how to write these upcoming chapters and they were alright they just kinda felt like the episodes which was like filler so i tried adding a little more substance to them and decided to combine them to kinda get them out of the way nothing against them just that not my favorite ones nevertheless i like what we ended up with here and i hope you guys do as always read and review and i hope to see you all on the next chapter Haru out
The Missing Bone
AU: Dino Thunder HQ
Tommy and Ethan were sparring alongside Conner and Carlos and Alyssa and Kira in a 3v3 match as Hayley was fixing up data for Tommy's new morpher
Conner tried roundhouse kicking Carlos who simply ducked out of the way and swept Conner's leg making him fall down
Kira tried overwhelming Alyssa with a flurry of blows and kick however the former White Ranger dodged all her hits and pinned Kira to the floor restraining her movements
"Took you two long enough" Said Tommy who was standing triumphant against Ethan who was panting on the floor
The three teens stood up drinking water from their respective bottles.
"You guys have progressed really well" Alyssa said as she bumped fists with Kira
"Thanks but if anything this probably means we need to train a lot more" Ethan replied
"Well, lets see here Alyssa has trained in martial arts since she was a kid, Tommy is a tournament winning fighter, and I fought off a space invasion. So relax for now and don't be too bummed out" Carlos said smacking Ethan on the shoulder who grunted in pain
"I'm ready to go again Dr.O how about it?" Said Conner determination burning on his eyes
"Maybe some other time I need to do some programming now that we have the new zord and all" Tommy said
"New Zord?" Ethan asked
"Yep morpher came with its own zord the Bracchio Zord and its own buddy the Cephalazord which I think is going to be yours to command Ethan" Tommy explained
"Woah sweet" Ethan exclaimed
"Coach how about you time for a 1 on 1?" Conner challenged
"Sorry Con its getting late and I have a mess on my apartment thanks to Zhane crashing over" Carlos said as he packed his things up
"Still coach? He left like 5 days ago" Ethan asked
"You have no idea Ethan" Carlos sighed
"Ethan how about it?" Conner asked
"Yeah hard pass I have some levels in the new space busters waiting for me to clear them" Ethan said excitedly
Conner sighed as he saw Kira and Alyssa sparring once more deciding it was for naught and began packing his gear.
"Hey Ethan, Conner you guys got anything on tomorrow after class?" Tommy asked the two
"Soccer Practice" "Computer Club" The Rangers replied
"Oh well I'll ask Kira to help out" Tommy replied
"Going back to class now Dr. O?" Ethan asked
"Not yet Alyssa will be with you guys for another week or two "
"How so Dr. O?"
"There is some data that I need to analyze with these new powers so I need to do that before going back it would be inconvenient if my powers manifested while I was teaching besides told Randall the expedition I had was of vital importance and Wes's dad from the time force made a donation to the school he's the alibi we are using for the expedition"
"That makes sense well I'm going to head out with the coach I'll see you guys later" Ethan said as he and Carlos left the base
"You heading out too Conner?" Tommy asked
"In a while just going to wait for Kira to give her a ride back" Conner replied
A couple of minutes later, Kira and Alyssa reunited with the rest of the team the former ranger giving the now yellow ranger pointers on her fighting stance.
¨You ready to go Victoria or feeling up for one more spar¨ Conner asked teasing
¨Oh you are so dead McKnight¨ Kira replied getting on her fighting stance
¨Before you do that Kira would you mind helping me organize some files tomorrow if your schedule is free?¨ Tommy asked
Kira nodded and the two teens went downstairs to spar
¨And don't break anything!¨ Tommy yelled
AU: Next Day Reefside High
Kira, Ethan and Conner met on the stairs of the highschool heading over to their classroom
"You guys hear anything from Trent yet?" Conner asked
Kira and Ethan shook their heads to signal that they had not heard anything
"We gotta lookout for him those dino gem mood swings could cause him to go off on a freshman for his lunch-" Ethan comments until
*smack*
The blue ranger bumps into another student causing him to lose his balance and stumble unto the floor
"Hey Ethan you okay?" Conner asked helping Ethan stand up
The other student simply looks at Ethan and laughs
"Better watch where you are going dork" the student said as he laughed and tried to high five Conner who chose to ignore him
"Derrick you need to apologize that wasn't cool" Conner said
"Seriously? He's like the lord of the dorks why would I do that?" Derrick countered
"Umm its called being a decent person?" Kira retorted
"Do you need Mcknight and the Punk Rock Princess to fight your battles Dork?" Derrick asked
"No I do not but then again I don't see any battle worth my time right now" Ethan said trying to push past Derrick
"Heh yeah the only ones you care for are behind a screen what a shocker" Derrick mocked
"On second thought Friday you and me soccer field after class" Ethan said causing everyone on the room to stop what they were doing and stared at the two
Conner and Kira looked at Ethan in disbelief
"Oh this is gonna be good I'll be there don't chicken out" Derrick said laughing as he went to his class
As the three teens walked towards class, Trent emerged from in front of the lockers newly camouflage powers discovered disguising himself with the surroundings
"Well seems like I will have some entertainment" Trent said as he began walking away when
*Ring*
The school PA system rang and Principal Randall's voice was heard
"Trent Fernandez to the principal's office"
Trent sighed and decided to go to where he was being summoned
AU: Randall's office
"Trent I called you here because some of your teachers have reported concerns with your behavior these last months they are worried that you are preoccupied and your time is not being used towards finishing your high school career on time"
"Preoccupied? Is that the term they are using?" Trent asked coyly
"Your grades have been plummeting, your behavior is erratic, and not to mention you are looking extremely pale" Randall replied
"I can assure you I'm doing well thank you" Trent answered
"Believe it or not I was your age once and I know the feeling of powerlessness that comes with being a high school student"
"Sorry but my dad is Anton Mercer powerlessness is not something I have ever known" Trent replied trying to end the conversation
"Okay… how about friends? Any friends you spend time with?" Randall asked
"Not really nobody is really worth the effort"
"A team perhaps some extracurricular activities some peers have informed me that you are a great artist" Randall tried another angle
" Oh yes there was a group that recently asked me to join them" Trent replied laughing
"I knew it a young athletic man like you surely would have teams begging for you to join them" Randall praised
"Well you are not wrong about that but had to turn them down they were losers and Mercer's don't fraternize with losers so if we are done here I'll be on my way" Trent replied as he rose from his seat and left the room
AU: Classroom
"Class remember to have your parents sign your permission slips for tomorrow's field trip to the museum" Alyssa told the class earning a collective cheer
"Field trip!" Devin cheered
*Ring*
The bell signaling the end of the classes rang and the teens began exiting the room.
"So what are you guys doing later?" Conner asked
"I have to help Dr. O organize some files on the HQ how about you guys?" Kira replied
Soccer Practice"
"Computer's club"
"Meet on the HQ after?" Kira asked to which the two nodded
"Sure I'll stop by Haley's and grab smoothies what you guys want?" Conner said
"Banana"
"Blueberry"
"Okay this color thing is getting our of hand" Conner said causing the three to laugh
AU: Dino Thunder HQ
"This place really needed this cleaning Dr. O" Kira commented seeing the amount of clutter in the storage room
"Yeah well believe it or not I have never really been the tidiest of people" Tommy commented
"I think every team has one Max definitely was the one for ours which is saying something when you recall that Cole was raised by animals" Alyssa teased her former teammate
"Well as much as I would like to say Conner he's actually really organized Ethan on the other hand I would never ask to borrow a pencil again. His bag is more circuits than bag" Kira said
"Lets see when I first joined Zack definitely was the messiest one, after him rocky definitely took that spot, during my short time at Turbo Adam became really busy with opening his dojo on Angel Grove and oh boy the amount of cobwebs" Tommy shuddered as he reminisce
"One time i was hanging out with Eric when Taylor was getting ready for their first date when he told me that Wes told him that Lucas was a nightmare to room with candy wrappers everywhere"
"Never been one for Ranger gossip but you think thats bad Carter once told me that Chad had a tendency of keeping bait on his room for when he went to train with the marine animals near the aquabase"
"Hey Dr. O where do you want this to go?" Kira asked showing Tommy a bone with a tag with a series of numbers in it
"Oh that, it's best that I hold on to that" Tommy replied taking the bone from Kira´s hands
"Why what is that?" Alyssa asked
"Oh nothing important just a really ancient bone that needs to be preserved" Tommy replied and swiftly stored said bone in a secure locked box
"You know its too bad Kai wasn't on any of our teams he was the reason their megaship was constantly immaculate" Tommy complained
"Wait asides from ninja storm we didn't mention one for the Space Rangers" Kira commented
All three rangers in the room looked at each other and nodded
"Definitely-"
AU: Soccer Fields
"Coach Vallerte! We are finished with the drills" Conner yelled to Carlos as he was writing notes down in his desk papers scattered everywhere.
"Perfect thank you Conner that would be all for today team" Carlos replied to the teens all of whom sighed in relief
"Hey Derrick practice's over" Conner told Derrick who was shooting balls towards the net missing each of his shots
Derrick set the ball to the floor and proceeded to shoot one last shot towards the net missing it entirely before the ball curved towards Ethan
"Watch out!" Conner yelled concerned
As soon he yelled it, the ball struck Ethan's device sending it to the floor and breaking into pieces upon contact
Derrick ran towards him and the rest of the computer's club to pick up the ball
"Hey sorry about that it was a bad shot" Derrick "apologized"
Ethan stared at him and his expression was readable like an open book
"It's alright I'm sure you need all the practice you can get Derrick" Ethan replied
Derrick dropped the fake smile and tried grabbing Ethan when Conner stopped him
"Hey got the ball?" Conner asked to which Derrick nodded
"Alright lets go then" Conner said as the two went back to their team
AU: Next Day Museum
Kira Conner and Ethan as well as the rest of the student's exited the bus and stepped into the museum's entrance
"That thing gives me the creeps" Kira said pointing to the bronze dinosaur replica on the Museum's entrance
"Why? Its not like it can move or anything" Commented Conner
"Says the guy who operates a giant T-Rex" Ethan replied
"Fair point" Conner conceded as the three entered the museum
The field trip was uneventful for most of the class except for Kira who was staring at one of the glass displays when she noticed a tyrannodrone sneaking through to the back of the museum
She confronted the Tyrannodrones valiantly. Her training had been evolving her combat style and as a result she easily defeating the small hoard with ease without needing to resort to her Ptera scream
As she moves her hand close to her face to activate her communicator a voice calls on to her
"Kira…" the voice calls
As in a trance, Kira moves towards the voice originating from a dinosaur skull
"Good now you shall serve me well" the voice commands causing Kira to go wide eyed and her eyes now glimmering with a light blue hue
A few moments later Kira stumbles to the museum entrance where Conner and Ethan meet with her
"Hey there you are you missed like half of the trip are you alright?" Conner asked
Kira looks to be disoriented and simply nods in response
"You sure cause you don't look too good" Ethan asked worried
"Yeah I'm fine I just got dizzy all of a sudden and needed to go to the bathroom now can we drop it?" Kira replied with slight anger
"Would you like my mom to see you she could check up on you wouldn't want it to happen while we are fighting overgrown lizards" Conner offered
"Fine if it will get this thing over with lets go" Kira replied dryly
AU Conner's house
Ms. Mcknight leaned back turning off her small flashlight (not sure what that's called im medical illiterate) as she finished revising Kira for a concussion
"Okay kiddo no concussion here you seem to be perfectly healthy" Ms. Mcknight said as she began putting away her nursing gear
"Thanks satisfied?" Kira replied and asked Conner and Ethan to which the two nodded in response.
"Alright then to celebrate my partner in crime's good health how about my famous chocolate banana split with whipped cream" Ms Mcknight asked to Kira
"Oh I'll help out" Ethan said as he rushed to the kitchen
"Thanks but wasted enough time here I have to be somewhere else now" Kira said as she abruptly stood up and left through the door leaving the room silent
"I guess things really cant go back to the way they used to be" Ms Mcknight said a sad smile on her face
Conner hugged his mother and continued staring at the door
"Yeah something's definitely not right here" Conner thought
AU 2 hours later
"So are you really going to fight Derrick?" Conner asked as he finished the last spoon of his dessert
"Fight? Nah I think I know a way to stop him in his tracks wanna see?" Ethan asked
Conner nodded in response to which Ethan pulled his computer from his backpack and turned it on revealing a prediction program
"Alright so check this out I was teaching it to coach Vallerte the other day but we needed to test it" Ethan said as he clicked on the screen which opened a video of Conner making a shot on target and missing it and hitting the pole.
"Thanks I wanted to see that again" Conner commented sarcastically
"Not everyone is perfect bro but with the proper information then-" Ethan explained as he clicked once more revealing a recreation of Conner's shot this time the ball going into the net in the upper right corner
"Woah" Conner said
"Yeah check this out so basically if you had adjusted your feet a few inches to the left the angle of the curve of your shot wouldn't have been affected by the momentum causing it to be more accurate" Ethan explained
"So you have done this for the whole team?" Conner wondered
"One step ahead of you here's Derrick's stats" Ethan showed Conner
"Power wise he's stronger on the kick than me but his shots are straight but he has no direction" Conner commented
"Direction Conner Conner Direction" Ethan joked pointing to his program causing the two to laugh as a result
"I think it's a really good idea" Conner praised his teammate's work
"Thanks but man good idea was this banana split I swear best dessert I've ever eaten I cant believe Kira just bounced like that" Ethan said as he resumed eating his dessert.
"Yeah I know its been a couple of years but that used to be her favorite something is definitely up with her" Conner explained
The two rangers wondered on the situation until Ethan's phone rang and had to return home due to his mother calling him.
AU: Next Day nearby the Dino Thunder HQ
Kira walked nearby the woods surrounding the HQ's entrance when he called Tommy on her communicator
"Dr. O I'm over by the lake quarry I was writing a song when I saw something floating downstream looks like a dino egg I would follow but my mom is calling about a family emergency could you go check it?" Kira asked Tommy
"On my way Kira thank you for the information" Tommy replied
A few moments later the entrance to the HQ opened and Tommy left riding one of the Raptor Riders
Kira entered the HQ and silently approached the case Tommy had placed the mysterious bone earlier during the week.
Kira grabbed one of the thundermax blasters and blasted the lock off the case opening it (yes I know in the show she uses here Ptera scream but how does that make sense against metal?)
"Good now finish the task" the voice called in Kira's head
Kira took the bone and left the HQ the box opened with it's content missing
AU: 1 hour later
Tommy returned to base with Ethan and Conner in the room viewing more of Ethan's soccer program
"You guys know this is still my house right?" Tommy asked annoyed
"Dr. O we think there might be something wrong with Kira" Ethan said
Tommy looked at the two and then was shocked when he saw the case where the Fossilador bone was stored
"Yeah and I think I may know why we are going to need to find her and now" Tommy said as the two teens nodded and the whole party went out on the search
AU Museum
The three arrived on the museum noticing finding Kira laying on the floor
"Kira are you alright?" Tommy asked shaking her causing her to wake up
"My head is killing me other than that I think I'm good" Kira said
"What happened?" Conner asked helping Tommy help Kira stand up
"I had this voice yelling on my head during the field trip and next moment I blanked out don't remember much since then" Kira explained
"Your field trip was yesterday I believe you may have been under the influence of a dinosaur called the fossilador" Tommy said
"And you know this because?" Ethan asked imagining what the next words were going to be
"I helped create it with Anton Mercer years ago it was harmless so long as its skeleton was never assembled but now" Tommy explained
"I helped him assemble it" Kira finished
"Its alright we just gotta smash it back into pieces!" Ethan said cracking his knuckles
"Right! It's payback time" Kira exclaimed
*ring*
The rangers communicator's rang Haley calling the rangers.
"Guys giant monster alert on the power plant area" Haley called out
"Well we have an idea who it is you ready?" Conner asked Kira smiling
"Oh yeah" Kira replied "Dino Thunder Power Up Ha!" Kira yelled as she transformed into her ranger suit
As the rangers rushed to battle, the encountered Zeltrax intercepting them Tommy stayed behind and battled the general as Conner, Ethan and Kira rushed towards the giant Fossilador
"Haley zords now!" Ethan called
"Sending them plus friends for you Ethan and Kira" Haley said as she sent the Thundermax megazord alongside the Dimetro and the newly acquired Cephalo Zords
"Alright! DimetroCephalo Thundermax Megazord Engage!" Kira summoned as the Megazord stood before the Fossilador
Sparks flew everywhere as the two fought
"Alright time to end this check this out" Ethan commanded as he moved as he commanded the Megazord's legs and head to headbutt Fossilador in the face
"Now that's what I call using your head" Conner joked
"Cephalo Power Fist" Ethan yelled as the megazord used the Cephalo arm to land a powerful fist to the monster's face
"Time to shatter you Dimetro slash!" Kira called as the dimetrozord cut the monster shattering a piece from its body causing it to explode into pieces once more
"Alright!" the three rangers celebrated
AU Soccer field next day
Conner and Kira sat on the bleachers a couple rows above Ethan and the computer team showing the rest of the soccer team the program they had been working on.
Derrick paid attention as Ethan was explaining to him what he need to correct in order to improve his game
Knowing he had nothing to lose, the soccer player tried the suggestion causing on the ball to strike the net directly
A proud smile on his face, Derrick celebrated scoring a goal on net.
"I can't believe that worked that's so cool" Derrick exclaimed genuinely excited
"Yeah that's the power of data for you" Ethan explained a proud smile on his face
"Hey I owe you guys an apology this thing was really making me angry and I took on you guys and that's not fair I hope you can forgive me" Derrick apologized for his past transgressions
"Water under the bridge besides it was a fun side project to do" Ethan smugly replied
"We all go for milkshakes after practice on Fridays would you guys like to come with us" Derrick offered
"Are you sure? I mean we are the lords of the geeks here after all" Ethan asked curious
"Yeah sorry about that one too and don't worry you guys are actually really cool and this thing is so cool maybe I'll finally beat Mcknight scoring record with this" Derrick exclaimed loudly
"In your dreams Derrick!" shouted Conner
"Yeah data can be cool like that if you want I can teach some stuff it could help if you ever want to be a sport analyst" Ethan explained to which Derrick nodded excitedly
"You know never thought I would see the day when jocks and geeks would co-exist peacefully" Kira commented looking at the exchange between both clubs
"Yeah people change I guess glad that you did too cause Fossilador Kira was kinda mean" Conner joked
"Don't remind me I couldn't get banana split its been ages since I had one of those" Kira whined
"Yeah about that" Conner said as he pointed to the field parking lot were his mother was coming on to the field with a large container in her hands
"Con come down here and help me get the plates and spoons" Ms Mcknight yelled calling to her son
"Coming mom" Conner replied as he hopped down to head into the car to help his mother
"I'll help too" Kira exclaimed as she followed and helped Ms. Mcknight with the container
"Thank you Kira and don't worry I brought one just for you Conner told me you were struggling with a song and that's why you were moody but don't worry got my axe on my trunk so I'll help you out just like the old times" Ms Mcknight explained
Kira nodded happily
"Hey didn't you say you were going to help me?" Conner complained causing the two to laugh before joining him.
