Marinette," Tikki pointedly looked at her currently rambling, irrational holder. "You made your choice so stop being so hesitant, does the prospect that you only made the decision because you thought it was a certainty change how you feel."

Marinette halted in her tracks mid meltdown. She had been stressing about everything that had happened since the night before, but none of her thoughts were painting the whole picture as she spiralled.

"N-no," she thought for a moment, "no it doesn't. I love him, but I'm not sure if-"

"Stop, stop, stop." The tiny red being interrupted with outstretched arms, "it doesn't matter what you're not sure of, you said that Chat is the one in your heart, if you fumble about with this, it's going to be Adrien all over again!"

Marinette plonked herself down on her chaise with a grunt, scrunching up her face before pouting at her Kwami. This newly established assertive Tikki was certainly not letting her make the same mistakes as she had done before.

"And Chat definitely has a soft spot for you, it's obvious with how attentive he is with you." Tikki pointed out.

Marinette looked to the floor. "But what if he ends up telling me about this amazing new person…"

TIkki deadpanned at her holder, as Marinette continued talking about Chat and possible scenarios with the person he had met. TIkki was repressing the biggest need to bang her head against something hard and tried to school her face to something neutral.

"...I just don't know if I can-"

TIkki almost blew a gasket.

"Marinette!" She squeaked loudly, startling Marinette into silence. "Yes, Chat Noir told you, Ladybug, that he's met someone, but what if that person is you, Marinette!" Tikki threw her hands in the air as she landed in Marinette's cupped, awaiting hands. "You heard what he said to you last night, I don't think it was actually hypothetical."

Marinette let that information digest for a moment while Tikki pointed out a vital bit of information that Marinette had overlooked.

"Plus Chat asked to share his identity, and he doesn't know yours." Tikki peered up at her chosen, "please stop doubting yourself and be straight with him."

Marinette blinked. Her mouth forming a little 'o'. "I-I forgot about that."

Tikki rolled her eyes and shook her head 'give me strength,' while floating into Marinette's gaze, the little Kwami was getting uncharacteristically stressed with the situation, "of course you did." The tiny red being smiled encouragingly, "now, what are you going to do?"

Tikki knew how close they were to finally sorting this whole love square out. Her chosen was ready to find out Chat Noir was in fact Adrien, Marinette had just required that little extra push.

Marinette inhaled deeply, a new found determination apparent in her posture. "It's like Chat said," she smiled somewhat confidently at Tikki, "he deserves to know I have these feelings for him, and he deserves to know the truth about me."

"Thats the spirit Marinette!" Tikki squeaked happily, glad that the end was in sght.

With a substitute teacher taking over their second lesson, Adrien took his chance and pulled the 'I have a photo shoot' card to get out of class. With an encouraging pat on his back from Nino, the blonde exited through the door with a "go get 'em tiger!" from Alya sounding out behind him.

After it had become apparent that keeping things from each other had not exactly worked out for the best, notes had been passed throughout the entire first lesson. Alya had outlined that Marinette had claimed that there was another, but the reporter highly doubted that it was true. Adrien however, knew otherwise.

Just thinking back to the night before, the words Marinette spoke before he left her bedroom swam through his mind. Adrien had no doubts about who the raven haired beauty's mystery man was.

'I don't think it's him I want anymore…'

With the evidence pointing to her choosing his Chat self over his civilian masked persona, this revelation was that much sweeter.

The broad smile he was unable to suppress spread across his face as he bounded over the rooftops towards her balcony. Feeling the wind in his unkempt locks as he made his way to her home in record speed, the hero in black was on cloud nine. Seeing her little ornate garden filled him with warmth but then he froze. She had been crying that morning. Why had she been crying?

'What did Alya say again?' He pondered internally as he landed silently on her terrace.

'She told Alya the guy she likes has his heart set on another.' Plagg replied to Chat's question with little interest. 'Apparently Pigtails spoke to him this morning.'

'It can't be me then.' He sighed as his feet stayed rooted to the ground.

Plagg was getting sick of this, his chosen was smarter than this, but just needed that little push. After all, the magic was preventing him from seeing that Marinette and Ladybug were one in the same. It was not as if Ladybug had actually confessed anything either. Chat had volunteered the information willingly, in the hopes that she would not object to him sharing his dual identity.

'No~" Plagg drawled, 'but you did see Ladybug~ this morning kid…and you told her you'd met someone…'

Adrien took a few paces, thinking back to that morning's meeting with Ladybug. She had been distressed after he had told her he had met someone. Her cerulean eyes shone with the tears she held back after he delivered his news and asked his question.

'Plagg, you know who Ladybug is don't you.' Adrien thought with an accusatory tone.

'I do…' the smirk in the black Kwami's voice was easily heard, and Adrien had a vision of Plagg rolling around menacingly in his head. 'And I think you do too~.' Plagg's nasally tune taunted the blonde.

Adrien gulped as he stared at the trapdoor leading into her room. His heart was racing as two young ladies merged into one and he could not quite get his head around it.

'Kid!' Plagg's internal monotone voice brought the blonde haired hero out of his reverie. 'Let's get this over with so I can see Tikki please?'

A crooked grin graced his face, 'there's something I've got to do first Plagg,' his bright green eyes focusing on a shop display one hundred yards down the street.

Plagg scoffed, 'You're such a romantic.' His voice echoing through his chosen's mind. 'Do not forget my cheese puffs this time.'

Chat chuckled outwardly, 'You love me really Plagg.' With a toothy lovestruck grin covering the unmasked part of his face, Chat made his way to his destination. Discreetly transforming, before making the perfect purchase, and heading back to surprise his lady.
