Sitting comfortably in the seat for visitors as he waits in the Chancellor's office, he takes a good look at the Chancellor's office. To him, the office was more of an architect's or designer's rather than a government official's, much more the office of the highest position in this side of the universe. The design was rather modernistic in approach.

Divided. Chaotic. Weak.

Three words High Admiral Neidhart Muller of the New Galactic Empire would describe this…Galactic Republic. Muller was no stranger to politics or history. Despite having held no position in the Galactic Empire, Muller knew the signs of a waning power. It was eerily similar to the story of the now defunct Free Planets Alliance. However, compared to the former even in its last days, this Republic is far weaker, more corrupt, and way past its prime. It was a miracle it wasa still able to hold on its own.

"Atleast the FPA wasn't busy tearing itself apart on its last few days." Muller muses. Then again the late government suffered a military coup although it was one quickly dealt with by the late Admiral of the 13th fleet. However, this civil war was on a much larger scale, with even a more complex scenario. Entire member systems that do not display open revolt were either indifferent to the legitimate government and its efforts to restore order, complicit to the Separatists, or are under the influence of criminal groups. All considered to be mutinous activities in the eyes of the Imperial High Admiral.

The doors slide open and a new figure enters the room. Dressed in the blue-colored version of the robes of his order, the dark-haired human Jedi Explorer Jarrod Shan approaches the admiral. Muller stands to greet him.

Jarrod Shan clasped his hands tightly. He then turns to Muller and says "I must apologize. I spoke with the staff. It seems the Chancellor will be delayed. He did give word that he still intends to meet us today. If only you could wait for a few more hours."

Muller sighs deeply. Then again he can do nothing. Requesting an audience with the Chancellor on such short notice was asking too much. "I've been travelling for days to arrive here. I certainly wouldn't mind waiting for a few more hours." Muller answers the Jedi Explorer. Both men then take their seats beside each other.

"So, how's Coruscant for you?" Jarrod asks eagerly.

"I haven't actually gone around much since we just arrived this morning. The whole planet seems an society out of a futuristic novel I read back as a teenager." Muller replies. "The architectural designs though reminds me of Heinessen...just more crowded."

"I actually did like Heinessen, you know. This so-called 'pizza' is definitely one of the best dishes I have tasted. I should've learned how to make one."

"Pizza?" Muller chuckles. "You should've tried those pizza burgers they make downtown. Absolutely delicious. You should know, the Kaiserin absolutely wolfed them down during her pregnancy. She loved them so much that the late Emperor demanded to know the recipe."

Jarrod replies after giving out a hearty laugh "Did she now? Well It is a shame I missed those. Fezanni restaurants are too fancy for me. I have always preferred my food on the simpler side. What was it called again? 'Hot cuisine' was it?."

"It's haute cuisine, my friend." Muller corrected him. Both men then shared a hearty laugh.

It was during one of his travels that Jedi Explorer Jarrod Shan encountered the New Galactic Empire or the Neue Reich three years ago. An exclusively human-dominant civilization that rules quite a sizable portion in the unknown regions. The discovery was an accident, actually. A hyperspace jump error that was supposed to lead him into an old, forgotten rarely used route into the further reaches of the Outer Rim into the far borders of the Chiss Ascendancy instead catapulted him further into the farthest borders of the Sagittarius Arm just outside the Ba'alat Starzone under the Heinessen Autonomous Region (HAR), a special region within the Empire. He was apparently a First Contact scenario for these people; as they were apparently isolted from the rest of the wider galaxy. An irony considering they already controlled quite a huge portion of their galaxy. Being a human himself, they thought of him as a descendant of other dissenting groups which left Old Empire and went on to develop their own civilization, much like history of the people in the Sagittarius Region that established the Free Planets Alliance.

Establishing communications at first was problematic. Unlike other civilizations in the Outer Rim and the Unknown Regions which spoke in Galactic Common or a small variation of the other more familiar languages, the New Galactic Empire and its predecessors' known languages are different. His protocol droid has no record of the native languages of the Reich, alphabets and written characters were miles apart as well. Fortunately for both parties, nonverbal gestures are apparently universal for humans irregardless of their location in the vast reaches of space. Through nonverbal ques, hand gestures, and body movements, a crude form of communication was then established. His benefactors in the autonomous government then started to teach him their language and common alphabet. Being the quick study that he was, he was able to speak and read the common language of the Empire fluently after some time.

Initially, he was detained under the supervision of the Heinessen Autonomous Government before being handed down to the Imperial Viceroy who then had him brought to Lohengrammpolis, the Imperial capital in Fezzan. There he met with the higher echelons of the Imperial Government. He told them of the wider galaxy, its history, and told them everything it had to offer; and everything they could offer as well.

History. Culture. Tradition. Political Science. Military Strategy. Economic Principles. Legal Concepts.

The Reich had so much to offer for the Republic. Technology isn't everything, these people while technologically advanced still lag behind in certain aspects; however ideals are. Despite being a young spacefaring culture by Galactic standards, the humans of the Empire have achieved so much. The concepts that turned the wheels of the government kept it stable and efficient inn a time of peace. On the other hand, the Galactic Republic was a decadent and weak institution, mired by corruption. Before he left, the last he knew of was the looming threat of a civil war. His fears were then realized when he returned to a galaxy tearing itself apart. It pained him to know that an old friend; an idol so to speak became one of the architects of this civil war.

The Reich meanwhile is a stable, peaceful, and progressive order. He saw a populace content on the way things are. Albeit there were some dissatisfaction and dissenting opinions but generally, the territories controlled by the Reich was a place of peace and progress, one the Republic should learn from. This 'Clone Wars' which has ravaged hundreds if not thousands of planets and affected millions if not billions of lives was something that could have been prevented had the Senate had a quarter of the strong foundation of the Neue Reich.

"I have to ask. Who is in-charge of this diplomatic relations?" Jarrod then asks. Even if Jarrod familiarized himself with the political condition of the Reich, being an outsider, he was still out of the loop on certain aspects.

"The Crown Prince. Her Majesty gave him full authority when it comes to external affairs concerning the Empire." Muller replies.

"I am surprised he actually agreed. Perhaps the Empress wanted to test him" Jarrod surmises.

"Everyone thinks so." the admiral replies. "I sure hope your Chancellor agrees to the initial terms."

The Reich's diplomatic plans were not limited to just the Galactic Republic. Plans have already been drawn to extend relationships with other interplanetary governments, as many and as far as it could. The existence of other civilizations in a wider galaxy has forced the Empire to reevaluate its own political mindset. While the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations while unexpected, was not wholly considered nonexistent. Certain contingencies for such scenarios did exist in records. However most the concepts were old and shelved with some even predating the Universal Century Calendar. In fact, for its 500 years legacy, the Goldenbaum dynasty has never updated nor reevaluated such contingencies: most of which it simply inherited from the Galactic Federation. In fact, the one with the most updated concepts was a dissertation from the former FPA, granted it was made during the early years of Free Planets Alliance but it was comprehensive and well-thought of. Written in 712 UC by the late Prof. Setsuna Seiei, a professor of political science in El Facil Central University; the dissertation became the basis of the now dubbed Seiei doctrine. However, even with the genius of Prof. Seiei this brand of politics was still uncharted territory for the Reich. In a surprise turn of events, the Crown Prince himself was personally appointed to spearhead this new branch, now aptly named External Affairs Office.

It came as a surprise for many within and outside of the government. The Crown Prince was a known as a 'bit' of a recluse (mildly putting it) who preferred to stay out of politics. More focused on his ceremonial and symbolic duties as far what the public knows, the Crown Prince was rarely seen by the public and even took great lengths to hide his face from public and mass media. When offered to ascend to the throne when he came of age, he declined stating 'Mother is still fit to rule the Empire. It wouldn't be fair for everyone that I ascend the throne simply because I reached a certain age. My time as Emperor will come, but for now, the ruler of the Empire is Kaiserin Hildegard von Lohengramm.' Despite his tendency to stay away from politics and the public, the Crown Prince was not ignorant of politics as many believed; far from it. Despite his young age, he was very well-informed and had a frighteningly good grasp of Imperial politics. The boy did not have the same story as his father, but he had a brilliant mind.

A few more hours have already passed but the Chancellor has yet to appear. It seems whatever meeting the Chancellor had is eating away too much time. It was getting late and the sun was starting to set. Both men start to feel unease and boredom. The Admiral on his part has already started to slouch on his seating position while whistling to a merry the explorer heard once and at one occasion pulled out an old device and played some games with it. Jarrod even proposed that they should leave and set an appointment for some other time, but Muller advised that they stay for a few more moments.

At some point, the sound of the doors opening was then heard. Both men turned their attention to the opened door.

Two blue-robed Senate Guards entered and flanked the sides of the door. A lone blue-skinned Champalan then soon followed.

"The non-Human is Vice Chair Mas Amedda ." Jarrod whispers to Muller.

Muller simply answers with a simple oh wile being in awe with the appearance of the Champalan. Being quite new to this, he still finds himself in awe whenever he sees a different species. A white-haired human male in his 60s donning red, regal Naboonian robes then follows. He is flanked by two more Senate and Jarrod then stood at attention.

"It's him. That's Chancellor Sheev Palpatine." Jarrod Shan whispers to Muller. Both men then showed gestures of respect. Jarrod gave a small bow, while Muller gives out a snappy salute.

Chacellor Palpatine acknowledged the gesture and returned a smile towards the two men.

On the 15th of August of the Universal Calendar 818, High Admiral Neidhart Muller of the New Galactic Empire from the Orion-Sagittarius Sector of the Milky Way Galaxy meets with Chancellor Sheev Palpatine of the Galactic Republic. The Muller delegation, as it would be referred to by historians would be the start of the entry of the humans of the New Galactic Empire, referred to later as the Terrans into Galactic Republic politics.

A/N: Hi. So I've always wondered a scenario how a Star Wars and Legend of Galactic Heroes crossover would play out. However, even with how long I've been lurking at fanfiction sites, I haven't seen one. I do not know why actually. As such, I had to make one for myself (lol). I hope you guys liked the first chapter. For the LOGH-verse, I chose the setting of 17 years after Reinhard Lohengramm as I felt his story had to end with canon. For the Star Wars-verse, I want to use the Clone Wars as I believe it was the biggest turning point in the history of that universe. A lot of events that transpired during the Clone Wars shaped it to the setting we now know and love. Perhaps I may add some personal touch on things and might borrow some aspects or character names from other fandoms (or even in real life) like what I did with the whole Prof. Seiei (I just had to do it). Read and Review everyone. ^_^
