Doc's house/garage
(A garage sale is happening in Doc's place due to his 7 month disappearance)
Marty: Dad! Are we too late to stop the…sale?
George: Better late than never. You won't realize how much rare stuff there is!
Marty: Dad this isn't fair! The city has no right to…
George: Now son I know you're upset but your friend has been gone for months and the city certainly has the right to use this land for that new parking garage and… hey is that a first edition Jules Verne?
Linda: Dad's right Marty. The city does have the right to sell Doc's stuff to make this garage another company.
Dave: Besides Doc's been gone for almost seven months now. And it seems like he's either dead or hiding elsewhere.
Marty: Doc's not dead he's just hiding somewhere, I don't know where.
Dave: Well you know him more than we do Marty. Have a nice day.
Linda: See ya Marty I'm gonna head off to work.
Marty: This just isn't fair! Well at least things can't get any worse.
(Biff puts in a coin in the jukebox and Back in Time by Huey Lewis and the News plays)
Biff: Hey Marty! (drinks a can of coke)
Marty: Hey Biff.
Biff: Came to see if the old crackpot had any buried treasure?
Marty: No I'm just… remembering things.
Jennifer: I sure miss him too Marty.
Marty: Yeah I'm wondering where in time he could be? Could he be back in the old west with Clara, Jules, Verne, and Einstein? The future? Or somewhere else in the past?
Jennifer: I wonder too.
Marty: Doc built this model of the courthouse square back in 1955. Hey is that Doc's notebook?
Biff: Well, well, well, lookey what we have here! This would look great in my fish tank. What do you think Jr.?
Biff Jr.: Absolutely dad. But what would Tiff think of that?
Biff: I'm sure Tiff would love this.
Marty: Biff give that back! That has Doc's private stuff!
Biff: Oh yeah! What did he ever accomplish?
Marty: Uh…
Biff: Yeah nothing! Doc is dead! Get over it and move on!
Marty: Doc's not dead! He's alive somewhere! I know it!
Jennifer: We need to find a way to get that notebook out of his hands or else there will be disastrous consequences.
Marty: I know Jen I'll take care of it. Hey dad?
George: Yeah Marty?
Marty: About Biff I know he can be tough and all but…
George: He talks a big game son but he's not so tough as he was back when we were teenagers. I've been dealing with him for a long time. Believe me I can handle him.
Marty: Then tell him to give me back the courthouse model with Doc's notebook. Doc told me to hold on to it because it has private information.
George: Well I don't see him anywhere. Maybe he left.
Marty: Hey the amplifier! Maybe I can play my guitar that's not supposed to be for sale here.
(Turns up the dials midway)
Marty: Let's rock.
(Amplifier gets loud)
Marty: Rock n' Roll
Biff: Wow! An amplifier! Let me do it!
Marty: Ok Biff go ahead.
(Turns up the dials all the way)
Biff: Let's rock this butthead!
(Amplifier blows up but doesn't overload causing Biff to get knocked out by the bookshelf)
Marty: Now the notebook. Oh Doc where could you be?
(A sonic boom comes out from behind the garage)
Marty: Could it be?
Jennifer: Sounds like it is.
Marty and Jennifer: Doc?
(Train opens)
Marty: Clara? What are you doing here?
Clara: I've come for your assistance to help me find Emmett.
Marty: Einstein! Hey boy! I've missed you! Do you know where Doc is?
Jules: We don't know where Dad is, which is why we've came here to look for him if you know where in time he is that is.
Marty: I've been trying to figure that out for months.
Verne: Then why not try going to the library to look him up in the past?
Marty: Where was the last time Doc was at?
Clara: As far as I know Doc was gonna go 1936 to do some historical research on the depression/new deal era Hill Valley.
Jennifer: Maybe that's where Doc is at. Go to the library and look up some newspaper archives from 1936.
Marty: Going there now!
(Skateboards to the library)
