Outside of Hill Valley Police Station
(Marty makes it to the Police Station and walks in)
Detective Danny Parker: What are you doing here kid?
Marty: I'm here to see Carl Sagan.
Danny: Are you his lawyer?
Marty: No I'm his friend.
Danny: Then scram you runt!
Marty: No! I need to speak to him now, so if you let me go through…
Danny: I can't let you or any family member of his come through here. Sorry that's the rule here. Now beat it!
(Marty exits the police station)
Marty: Maybe he can hear me from one of these cells. Psst! Doc!
Doc: Marty? (Looks around) Marty! What are you doing here? How did you find me?
Marty: Clara, Einstein, and the kids came for me in the time train on May 17, 1986 and I found out you were stuck here in 1936.
Doc: How?
Marty: Check tomorrows newspaper Doc.
Doc: Great Scott! I'm going to be gunned down by Kid Tannen and his gang on the steps of the Hill Valley Courthouse at 10 PM tonight!
Marty: That's why we came back for you?
Doc: Where are Clara, Einstein, and the kids?
Marty: Behind the billboard where Lyon Estates is going to be built watching the train and the DeLorean.
Doc: Ok.
Marty: I'll figure out a way to get you out of here. Unless… I can get some dynamite to blow you out of here!
Doc: No Marty! That can be very dangerous! Not just to me but to other people in the past!
(Police Station door opens with Detective Parker walking out while Marty whistles and Doc ducks down. Parker leaves with his car.)
Doc: That was a close call.
Marty: Got any other ideas?
Doc: You can go to my 16 year old self and tell him to let you borrow the rocket drill in order to get me out of here.
Marty: Where can I find your 16 year old self?
Doc: Go to the local diner next door and look my residence up in the phone book. My parents are Erhardt and Sarah Brown. The number should be in the phone book there to give them a ringy ding.
Marty: Ok Doc I'll get you out of here as soon as I can.
(Marty then begins to walk over to the Hill Valley Diner and enters)
