(Back near the time train and DeLorean in the nearby cave)
Clara: That was close. At least we accomplished something today.
Marty: I don't know. One of Kids guys mentioned he was going to kill my grandpa on the steps of the courthouse tonight for answering the subpoena earlier. (Marty starts to feel sick due to slow disappearance)
Jules: You Ok Martin?
Marty: I don't know. Where's the paper?
Doc: Great Scott! You're disappearing slowly.
Clara: It says here that local accountant Arthur McFly will be severely beaten and gunned down by Kid Tannen and his gang on the steps of the courthouse square at around 5 PM for answering the subpoena to testify against Kid in court.
Marty: They're gonna kill my grandpa! What time is it now?
Doc: It's now 3:45!
Marty: I gotta head back to the courthouse before it happens! (hops in the DeLorean)
Doc: Marty what do you think you're doing taking that vehicle out in the daylight?
Marty: I'll park it somewhere near the courthouse square where nobody can find it.
Doc: Come on Marty, you've got time before he gets murdered.
Marty: (Takes out his parents photo of the enchantment under the sea dance) But my dad is slowly fading in this photo with him and my mom in 1955.
Doc: Great Scott! Then you must rescue your grandfather before it's too late! Make sure the DeLorean is hidin where nobody can see it!
Marty: Right Doc, I'll be right back. (Puts vehicle into flying mode and heads off)
(Puts DeLorean in abandoned garage near courthouse square and waits until around 5 PM to head to the courthouse)
Marty: (Makes it to the courthouse door with Arthur exiting) Artie! You've got to come with me! You're in grave danger of being murdered!
Arthur: How am I in danger of being murdered? Where did you hear I was going to be murdered?
Marty: One of Kid's guys said they were planning to murder you here on the courthouse steps in any minute now.
Kid: Well, well, well, lookey what we have here. Artie McFly and Michael Corleone. Exactly what we've wanted.
Cue Ball: Except Carl Sagan who escaped with the help of Corleone. We don't have him.
Kid: Forget about him. I just want McFly and Corleone gone for good. Sagan can live his own life elsewhere.
Marty: Run! (Marty and Arthur run for their lives as they begin shooting)
Matches: Did we kill them?
Kid: No you idiot they're running away from Hill Valley!
Cue Ball: Oh well they can live their own lives now.
Kid: (Hits Cue Ball in the head) Way to go moron! Now our plan has failed again!
Zane: Maybe they'll come back here and if they do we can kill him.
Kid: Yeah yeah I doubt that. We can wait a month and if they're not back in a month, we won't worry about them anymore. (They walk away)
Marty: That was close. (Him and Arthur walk away from Hill Valley)
Arthur: Now I have to lay low for a month.
Marty: Don't worry Artie. After a month has passed, you won't be in danger of being killed anymore.
Arthur: Ok Mike. Ok.
