Not far away from where Sonic landed, Ruby and Yang we in the middle of a friendly sparring match while their friends, Wiess and Blake, watched on. "Getting better, Ruby," Yang hollered as she slid along the ground, "but I'm still gonna kick your ass!" And then she came charging at Ruby as fast as she could, stopped on the dime, and jumped with her right fist extended and ready to strike. Yang thought she was going to win the fight… a resounding clang told her otherwise. Yang landed on the ground face first as Ruby set her weapon, Crescent Rose, down. "Well, you gotta admit, it made for a good shield… if I hold her right." Ruby said as Yang got back up. "Okay…" Yang said as she got back up, "so you can think on your toes. But are you ready for this?!" Yang soon unleashed a barrage of attacks that sent Ruby to the edge of the ring. 'Well, so much for winning this fight,' Ruby thought herself as Yang prepared to deal the final blow, 'at least I've gotten better, right?' That last blow never came, because Qrow interrupted the fight just a moment before Yang could deal the blow that would've knocked Ruby out of the make shift ring... "Qrow," Yang said with dejection in her voice, "I was about to win this fight!" "Oh, come on Uncle Qrow… I had Yang on the rope there," Ruby exclaimed. "Oh, yeah, you had me on the ropes there, sis!" Yang said in either a taunting or sarcastic tone.

"Enough," Qrow snapped, "did you all hear that? I heard a thud that sounded like it came from the woods not far from here." Yang and Ruby looked at Qrow. The woods? As in the place where the grim were lurking? "Now that you mention it, I thought I heard a thud right as I jumped." Yang mused as Ruby grabbed her scythe while Wiess and Blake leaped off the patio and grabbed their weapons. Yang readied her fists as Ruby was strategizing a plan of attack while Yang put her sunglasses on as she said "I say we go on a full out assault, strike first and ask questions later." Ruby looked unamused by the plan Yang suggested, as she has done that and has brought that idea up time and time again. But before Ruby could protest the idea, Yang was gone in the direction of the woods. Blake, Wiess, and Ruby had no choice but to follow Yang's lead for the millionth time. Surely, it couldn't go wrong this time. After all, this was Yang, who had a short temper, was always hot headed, ran into every single situation guns a-blazing and swinging her fists! Nothing could POSSIBLY go wrong, right?

After a half an hour of trying to catch up to Yang from the house to where the the thud was heard, they saw nothing except a divot in the ground that resembled a person wearing gloves. Yang looked around, fists at the ready. "I'd like to get my hands on whoever is responsible for this," Qrow said as Blake and Wiess scouted a 50 meter perimeter and Yang looked in one of the trees and saw Sonic's silhouette kneeling on one of the branches. "Hey guys," Yang said as she pointed up to the silhouette of Sonic, "what is that odd looking silhouette in this tree right here?" Ever seen anything like it?" Ruby walked over to the tree next to Yang was and looked up. "Yang," Ruby said shaking her head, "you might be seeing things, because there is nothing there at all…" Ruby trailed off and never finished her sentence when she looked up to the same branch on the same tree yang was looking at. *Now* she saw what Yang was looking at. Blake and Weiss looked up and saw it too. Qrow unsheathed his sword and hollered out "Hey! You in the tree! Show yourself!" Sonic gave no response to Qrow, he stayed quiet. "Very well," Qrow said as he tightened his grip on his swords handle, "If you won't show yourself… I'll cut you down."

He took off into a sprint and leaped, slicing down the branch the silhouette was sitting on in one felled swipe, and when the branch hit the ground… nothing was there. Sonic, after he jumped onto another branch in another tree, shouted out at Qrow "Hey, you! Yeah, you with the sword! Not cool!" Ruby stared at the branch that Sonic was on wide eyed. "Did you guys hear that… Qrow, was that you?" "Nope," Qrow said to Ruby, "It came from whatever it is that's in that branch over there." Once again, Qrow demanded to Sonic show himself. And once again, Sonic made no response, but he did come down from the tree. Progress, I guess? Qrow held his sword with a tight grip, took off into a sprint, swung at his target... only to find out he hit air. "What the…" Qrow said as he soon found himself on the ground. Qrow got up, turned around, and there was his target. "What?! I thought you were in front of me!" Qrow snapped at Sonic, who was looking at Qrow with a big smug like smile on his face. Almost as if it he was taunting Qrow. Now being fueled by anger, swung at Sonic again, and just like last time, he swung at air as Sonic was right back where he started : in front of the tree. While Qrow was looking for his target, he heard a whistle from behind his back. Dare he turn around? Well, Qrow did… and there was his target.

Qrow held his sword with an iron grip and made a full speed beeline for Sonic, swinging his sword at Sonic as he ran. Sonic managed to avoid all of Qrow's sword swings, and if Qrow did land any hits, Sonic would either jump or break dance so the sword only grazed the the heels of Sonic's sneakers, sending sparks flying everywhere. Finally fed up with Sonic's antics, Qrow made a giant leap into the air, sword behind his back, and just when he had swung his sword from behind his back, Qrow thought he had his target taken care of… *THUNK!* His sword was lodged into the tree Sonic was in front of. Sonic came running back over, looked at the sword, looked at Qrow, and then said "Yeah, you missed me by a mile, so… see ya!" With that, Sonic was gone in the blink of an eye and while Qrow was busy trying to get his sword freed from the tree, Ruby, Wiess, Blake, and Yang all went after, in the words of Blake, "whatever it was we are chasing," with Ruby at the front of the team where she rightfully belonged. Sonic was bouncing off the trees as fast as he possibly could and using flat ground whenever he had a chance. He had team RWBY smoked and thought he gotten away from them… until he got to wall of rock. No way around it, no way through it, and no way to get to the top and keep moving. 'Well… THIS is bad,' Sonic thought to himself as Wiess was the first to arrive to where Sonic was. Wiess had her sword at the ready and said "I don't know what kind of grimm you are, but whatever type you are, I'll take you down one and the same." Sonic tilted his head in confusion. Grimm? He's never heard of him. So naturally, Sonic asked "Grimm? Who in the world is Grimm?"

"Silence," Wiess replied as she loaded each of the chambers of her sword with tubes of dust, "I don't know how you're able to talk, why you're blue, wear white gloves and red and white shoes, and have green eyes, nor does it matter, because you will be dead when I'm done with you!" She opened fire and starting blasting dust at Sonic. Sonic was able to dodge the assault Wiess was dishing out and because of his speed, there was a very small chance of getting hit by anything. After he came to a stop thinking he had a chance for a breather, Wiess took a deadly and accurate aim at Sonic and she fired off the shot. The shot would up being a direct hit that sent Sonic flying into the wall. Sonic slammed into the wall back first and then he fell onto the ground face first. "Oof," Sonic said as a rock hit him on the head, "alright, I think I've had enough of this foolishness." He jumped, landed on the ground, revved up a spin dash, and launched off in Wiess' direction. Weiss jumped out of the way and fired off some more dust before Sonic vanished into the woods once more. "Get back here and fighter like a huntress, dammit!" Wiess yelled as Ruby, Blake, and Yang arrived.

"What? Did you get it?" Ruby said as she looked around. "No," Wiess said as she pointed her sword towards the woods, "whatever it is we're up against, it curled up into a ball and rolled off back into the woods. And by the way, it charged up the roll before it launched." After listening to what Wiess said, Ruby was going to say something when she was cut off. "Wait," Yang said, "I don't think we're dealing with a grimm at this point because 1) there's no way a grim is as small as that and 2) there's certainly no way that is can curl up into a ball like Wiess explained." Oh, so NOW Yang was using common sense?! Well, too late for that now, because Yang was the one who decided the whole team was going into this attack first! "Okay," Ruby said as she put Crescent Rose into gun mode "well, now that we know we're not going against a grim on those counts, do we have any other counts we can u-" she trailed off as she remembered something else : whatever it is they were up against, it moved fast, faster than anything they have created or seen in Remnant. Even more so, Wiess was now just bringing up the fact whatever they were up against was blue, has green eyes, and wears white gloves and red sneakers with a white stripe in the middle. Since when do Grimms look like that? On top of all of that, how the bloody hell is this grim able to talk?! Grimm don't talk, they roar. Even more so, Grimm weren't acrobatic. What ever this thing was, it was acrobatic. So if they're not up against a Grimm… what were they up against?

Back in Sonic's home, the mad man Dr. Ivo Robotnik (A.K.A Dr. Eggman) began his tirade of tyranny by attacking station square, and he thought nobody could stop him. Correction, he didn't think anyone could stop him, he knew nobody could stop him. Tails led the attack against Robotnik's tirade in Sonic's absence, but because Robotnik had all 7 chaos emeralds, they were fighting an uphill battle and it was about to become even more of an uphill battle because Robotnik brought out an new line of robots, the E-130 Series. These robots were even more advanced from the E-100 series and the E-120 series. On top of the E-130 Series, Mecha-Sonic, NinjaBot, and Metal Sonic were also out on the front line of Robotnik's army. But that wasn't enough leadership for the mad man's army, so Robotnik built HyperNova, the robot that was a deadly combination of Metal Sonic and the NinjaBot that he gave a test run back when tired to take over the world with the Ex-World Grand Prix before he was tossed into prision. It was only a matter of time before Station Square fell to the rule of Robotnik, but it would take more time before he would take over the rest of the world. Day after day, the same battle would play out in a different location : Robotnik would show up, army following him with the attack orders in program. Tails leads the counter, Robotnik shows his might with the Chaos emeralds and the location falls to the rule of Robotnik. It would only be a matter of time before the rest of the world would fall.
