Note: Okay, so I have decided that this will indeed become a Steve/Loki fan-fiction. Don't know when exactly that's going to happen, but yes… that's a thing. I'm also planning on adding an OC for the next chapter so stay tuned! As always, enjoy and stay safe; reviews and criticism are always appreciated.

Steve creeps quietly through the apartment complex, careful to not wake any of his neighbors. When he finally makes it to his door, he sets Loki carefully down against the wall so he's able to unlock it. Then, he grabs Loki once again and brings him inside; shutting the door behind him with his foot.

As gingerly as possible, he lays Loki out on the couch and steps back to look over him in the full light. He's still wearing the same outfit as when Thor had taken him to Asgard, including the metal muzzle around his face. That's the first adjustment Steve decides to make; removing it from Loki's face. He immediately regrets the decision, as blood begins dripping from his mouth. Steve curses under his breath and runs to the kitchen to grab a towel. Carefully, he dabs the soft fabric against his mouth, soaking up as much of the blood as he can.

When he's satisfied that the blood isn't going to be dripping all over the place anymore, he throws it into the sink and returns to Loki's side. He quickly realizes, looking over Loki's many bruises and wounds, that he is in no way equipped to help him. Knowing that he only has one decision, he pulls out his phone and slowly dials the number for the best doctor he can think of; Banner. "Hey Banner, I need some help."

"What with?" he answers softly into the phone.

"I don't know if I can really explain it over the phone. Just, come over to my apartment and see for yourself. And please bring your medical stuff, just the essentials, it's an emergency."

"Are you okay? Do you need a team from SHIELD or something?"

"No, nothing like that. Just hurry."

Steve and turns back to Loki with a sigh. Realizing that he can do no more good till Banner arrives, he sits down on a chair facing Loki. Tiredly, he leans against the arm-rest; careful to not let his eyes flutter shut. He tries focusing on Loki's steady breathing but it only makes him more tired. Just as he's sure that he can no longer take it anymore, a loud knocking rings out from the door. He inhales sharply and looks carefully at Loki, making sure he's still asleep before walking over to the door to open it.

"Hello their stranger, " Banner says.
