Chapter Twenty-Two

Tsuna gritted his teeth. Damn. Who the fuck ambushes the heir in a highway? Obviously, the Silvestors. Good thing Kyouya was able to deflect the incoming bullets towards them, since they weren't using bulletproof cars before they could hit him, who was driving the car. When they got rained by bullets, everyone has to scramble off the car to save themselves.

Tsuna pulled two Magnum guns from his sides and aimed at both sides where three people are targeting him and pulled the triggers. He took liberality to give them non-vital wounds. He immediately went to Takeshi who is trying to stop Hayato's gun wound on the shoulder from bleeding too much. He can see Mukuro and Hibari having their fill on the enemies while Chrome is giving them some cover using her mist. Lambo is being tended by a stranger with white hair, but Tsuna can't push the man away since the guy is harmless according to his hyper intuition and Takeshi knows him.

"Takeshi!" Tsuna called as he kneeled across the baseball player.

"Y-Yes!" Takeshi asked, a little panicked but able to stay calm.

Tsuna put his hand on top of the noiret's and looked at him straight in the eyes. "How efficient are you with your flame?"

"Stronger than any rain flame you would see." Takeshi answered with confidence.

"Then could you knock them all out in one go?" The brunet asked with a jerk of his head to the side where the enemies are.

"But Hayato-"

"I'll be fine, Idiot." Hayato responded before smirking. "I'm an ex-mafioso. I got more life-threatening wounds, far from this one."

"But it's still painful." Tsuna commented as he put pressure on the wound.

Hayato yelped. "T-Tenth!"

Tsuna smiled in a feral way to the silveret. "We'll be having a very good talk about this, Hayato."

"Y-Yes!" The silveret answer, paling at the indication.

Takeshi laughed, completely eased up after what Tsuna and Hayato showed. He shook his head at the two before facing the enemies' side. He laid his hands on the concrete road and let his flame crawl towards their attackers. Mukuro and Kyouya felt the surging flame and jumped high and long enough for the flames not to get them in time. They landed on their car's roof, apart and alert for any more sudden movements, and to avoid fighting each other.

The rain flame caught most of their assailants. They went sag, kneeled the floor and fell asleep. Takeshi sighed with a smile. But Tsuna isn't relax yet. With a hand putting pressure on Hayato's wound, he gripped his gun and pulled the trigger five times. Those who were hiding and was going to attack the white haired helper went groaning and gasping.

Takeshi with his bokken turned to a sword went in front of Tsuna and Hayato while Chrome is on Lambo's side. Kyouya went down and walked towards them with a glare directed to Mukuro who was laughing merrily as if he gained something very nice. After a few minutes of being alert, Tsuna sighed. The others took this as a sign that they're safe now.

"Kyouya. Call Vongola." Tsuna said as he put more pressure. Hayato squeaked in pain. "Chrome. Please be with Lambo."

"Hai." Chrome's only answer while Kyouya pulled out his phone.

"Let me."

Tsuna looked at the man who said that. Without any hesitance, he let the white haired man replace him. "Thanks."

"I can't heal. But I know how to make it stop enough for you to reach the hospital safely."

Tsuna stared at the man, intuition humming. "You're a sun."

The man looked at him while the others gazed at the man. "That I am."

"Sempai." Takeshi called.

"Yo, Yamamoto." The man greeted, glancing but still attentive on Hayato. "Nice to see you again."

"Yeah. Good to see you too, Sasagawa-sempai." Takeshi responded.

"O-Oi baseball freak!" Hayato called out. Takeshi straightened up. "Did you see Tenth awhile ago?"

Takeshi blinked before grinning excitedly. "Yeah! He looks cool with guns. He also has this serious face!"

Chrome, who was listening, nodded with enthusiasm in agreement to Takeshi's praise. Kyouya and Mukuro stared at the girl as if she did something out of the ordinary.

"T-Takeshi-" Tsuna tried to reprimand but the noiret is beaming at him with starry eyes, accompanied by Hayato's.

"I want to see it again, Tenth!"

"His jacket went woosh in the wind and then the gun went pow pow and five went thud." Then the noiret looked at them. "Are they died though?"

The atmosphere went tense.

"No." Tsuna answered as he got up and opened the car's backseat. "I would never kill a man if I can. I'm not sure about Kyouya and Mukuro though."

Chrome went near him while Lambo is being carried by the mist, the skylark is glaring at Hayato and the man's way, as if on the look out. "I heard..."

"Hmmm?" The brunet hummed as he leaned in.

Takeshi leaned in also.

"I heard them cuss out loud in anger awhile ago." Chrome whispered softly. Almont unheard. "They seems to be indifferent but I think they're worried of the lightning and storm."

Tsuna nodded with a smiled. "Aren't they cute?"

"Yeah! It's like we have older siblings to protect us!" Takeshi agreed.

Tsuna noticed the man attending Hayato twitch amidst the noiret's agreement. "Just like that white haired man you called sempai, Takeshi?"

Takeshi looked at Tsuna, glanced at the man before beaming. "Yeah!"

"I can stand, dammit!" Hayato swore while struggling as the man helped him stand with Kyouya.

"You're weak from the wound, Octopus head."

All of them looked at the man. After a few seconds, Takeshi burst in laughter. Even Mukuro cracked up so hard. Tsuna blinked and smiled when he saw Kyouya turned away to hide a chuckle and Chrome giggled. The brunet went to Hayato to immediately stop the silveret from attacking Takeshi's sempai.

Tsuna slung an arm around the pianist's waist and hogged him to the waiting car. He placed himself between the silveret and white haired man to avoid any fights. He studied the sun flame user at the corner of his eyes though. The man has a band-aid across his nose, a lone scar on the end of his left brow with bandaged hands. The white hair and light brown eyes gave the needed hints. And Takeshi called him Sasagawa-sempai.

It means he's Ryohei Sasagawa.

Tsuna's brows furrowed. What happened? Why is he in Italy? Why are the siblings miles apart?

"No. I want Silvestors cleaned, not killed." Tsuna corrected firmly.

Sitting in front of him are the guardians of Vongola Nono and the current boss himself. They are in the conference room, doing an urgent meeting for the ambush on Tsuna.

To be honest, Tsuna doesn't like this meeting. There's a rare possibility that the guardians will let him do his decisions. Sometimes Ganauche, the lightning, and Visconti, the cloud, will agree with him. They are those who has the same thinking with him. And mostly, the others will take time to be persuaded. The ultimate and final decision is on the Ninth. If he considers, he'll approve. If not, well... No is the answer.

He was called here after talking to the mafiosi who ambushed him. His friends were settled already too. Even Ryohei Sasagawa, the white haired man who helped them tend the casualties, stayed after Takeshi talked to him about Hayato's and Lambo's conditions. Well, he is the only healer they had at that time, Kyouya wasn't really attentive on the wound case since he was on high alert and Tsuna wasn't able to check Lambo cause he was on Hayato after giving Takeshi the strategy he was thinking.

"Same difference." Coyote, the ninth's storm, stated.

"There's a big difference from cleaned and killed, Sir Coyote." Tsuna said as he put a hand on the table and leaned there. "What I mean about cleaned is to give the boss to the Vindice then ask for alliance to the next boss I may assign."

"What?" Coyote exclaimed in shock.

"It's either that or I'll take those who wants to join Vongola willingly and let those mafiosi who refuses to be with us to go." Tsuna added.

"Tsunayoshi, you were attacked. Two of your friends were shot. And you ought to do this?" Nie Brow, the sun of ninth, questioned.

Tsuna stood straight. "Yes. It was their boss' command, and they don't deserve to be punished like this. I can justify this allegations because one of them confirmed this to me when I talked with them awhile ago. And it snowballed from him until everyone, who didn't like or were hesitating on ratting out the Silvestor, talked. Some really didn't like the way their boss does things. They honestly want to get out of their famiglia but they were threatened to be killed along with their families. They also told me their dirty stuffs. If you'd like, you can do some deep searching since Hayato can't do it at the moment. And Kyouya isn't in the best mood."

Timeteo laughed. "Okay then. I'll send men there like you want. No killing."

"Thank you, Grandpa." Tsuna beamed.

A little more discussion and they let him go. After closing the door behind him, Tsuna exhaled loudly out of exasperation. He looked left and right before going to for his left where the direction of the mansion hospital is. He was arriving when he noticed Ryohei looking out by the window.

They haven't formally introduced their selves to each other. Besides, there are a lot of men named Tsunayoshi. It's not like Tsuna wants to keep quiet about his identity from the man. He just wants to make sure that he is still the boxer he got to know years ago.

"Why are you here, Sasagawa-san?" Tsuna asked. The man snapped his head towards him, alert and a little panicked. Tsuna almost frowned at the reaction, but he didn't. He, instead, smiled and let his sky flames do the relaxing. "Are you hungry? I can call some of the ladies to get you some food."

"No, thank you." The boxer declined curtly.

Tsuna sighed. "Is there a problem?"

The man stared.

"I can see the wrinkles. You were looking outside too. And it's not good to think deeply."

"It's none of your business."

A pang of something hit him hard. "Yeah. But you're in the Vongola premises, and whatever that happens here is my business."

Silence hung.

"Is it fun toying other people's life?" Ryohei asked, eyes staring at Tsuna with coldness and searing anger. "Your kinds are the worst. You believed you had everything and you can have every single thing you want because you're powerful, people are scared of your existance and you have the riches. You don't care if you destroyed one's life or you killed someone because of your desires. You're all selfish! You kept on saying you know how it works! You know how it hurts! How the pain strikes!"

Tsuna kept quiet.

"Don't you think you're being a hypocrite?"

Tsuna's breath hitched.

"You gave solace. Sympathy to other people. But inside you're a monster. A two faced who doesn't know a thing about us your kind have destroyed! And now you want to enter my business because I'm inside your territory? Bullshit! You're full of bullshit!"

Tsuna gulped. "Is that all?" The boxer didn't answer, taking deep breathes and calming himself. "Are you done lashing out your anger?"

"So what?" He snapped.

Tsuna took a deep breath. "I'm sorry about those things that happened to you-"

Ryohei snorted in mockery.

"-and your life. But that doesn't mean I'll tell you that you're right." Tsuna continues on. He marveled the surprised expression on the white-haired man's face. "If you haven't noticed, you're still alive because we do not intend to kill. There are other famiglie, mafia people that do not wish to harm people. And if you observe without those hidden prejudice of yours, you won't be able to say those words freely." Tsuna took a deep breath. "Regarding your problem, you're looking at the wrong place."

"What?"

"Sometimes the things we're searching aren't somewhere we thought they were. Don't underestimate our will to survive, Sasagawa-san. She's far much stronger than you think she is." Tsuna smiled weakly. "She is your sister after all."

"How the-"

"Tsunayoshi Sawada."

Tsuna sighed before looking at his right. "Mukuro. We talked about this."

"Kufufufu. I'm gonna convince Chrome to call you that."

"Please no. It's cringe and mouthful and very unusual to my ears."

"Kufufufufufu." The mist laughed. "Are you going in?"

"Hmm..." Tsuna hummed before shaking his head. "Can I talk to you before we visit them?"

"Oya?" Mukuro exclaimed, his heterochromatic eyes are glancing at Ryohei's way who is sporting a contemplating look. "Are you sure you want to talk to me of all people?"

"Well, if you want to see bandages-"

"Come. Let us go." Mukuro immediately cut in with an arm around Tsuna's shoulder. "I'm not taking any chances."

Tsuna smiled weakly. "Thank you."

Ryohei stared at the door of the clinic. His mind went back to his conversation with the brunet. It was his first time saying those things. Venting out his anger on someone who can hear him and is willing to listen to him. Swearing cause he rarely swore, not unless the situation went batshit crazy. And shout again after being so silent for six years.

He scrubbed his hands on his face, thinking he needs to apologize for what he had said. He was angry, irrational and stupid. Always the stupid one. Maybe that's the reason why Kyoko got kidnapped. He was incompetent and useless in general.

"Looking at the wrong place." He said, quoting Tsuna's advice. "What do you mean by that?"

"Tsuna!" Ryohei jumped in his place out of surprise when the door slammed open and a frantic Takeshi went out. "Where is he?"

"He went with that pineapple guy." He answered.

"God-"

"I'll search and contact, Mukuro-sama." Chrome said calmly, though worry in her features are prominent. "Stay with the lightning. Storm-san will be fine. If Mukuro-sama's explanation is right, he will disintegrate the poison in his blood stream."

"Right! I need to calm Lambo and-" Takeshi went on as he ran inside again.

"What happened?" Ryohei asked.

"The lightning is in danger." Chrome replied with closed eye and relaxed posture. "There was a poison on the bullet. The storm is disintegrating it, but the lightning is more on hardening, so it cannot fight back."

Ryohei nodded. He learned those flames the hard way. They have different properties. Like clouds has propagation, mist creates things, rain is tranquil, storm does disintegrates things, lightning hardens, sun heals since it can activate things and then the sky that harmonizes these elements and give them home, and turn things to stone by petrifying them. Since he's a sun, he has to know how to heal. But that's not it. He is a healer. A doctor who studied for the sake of money to search for his missing sister.

"You need a sun." He gave in.

"And according to Mukuro-sama, you are the strongest sun in here. But I will not let you get near the lightning." He almost backed away when the lady's lone eye opened and glared at him. "You dared to hurt boss. I will not forgive you. Unless he does, then I will."

Ryohei gulped at the protectiveness the lady is emitting.

"W-Where?!" A shout rang as two figures ran towards their direction. "Where is he?"

"Inside." Chrome answered as she led them.

Ryohei went after them quietly. He stood by the door as Tsuna replaced Takeshi from the chair by the bed of the teen, Lambo, and grasped the child's hand with both his. He watched as the brunet's hand glowed orange to yellow. He watched as the said man concentrated so hard to the point that he paled as minutes go by.

It felt like hours as they waited for some results. When Lambo opened his eyes slowly and looked around, Tsuna kissed the former's back hand and smiled so lovingly, like a mother to her child.

"Tsuna-nii." The teen called weakly.

"Hmmm? Are you hungry? The maids told me we're having hamburger steak cause Kyouya demanded it." Tsuna blabbered.

The teen laughed weakly. "I hope he didn't bite them to death."

"I hope so too."

Ryohei glanced at Takeshi when the latter stood beside him. "He's a dual flame user?"

"Yup. But sun is not his main flame. He's a sky. And a good one." The noiret grinned happily. A kind of grin Ryohei can never remember. "He reached out to you, didn't he?"

"If you call that reaching out."

Takeshi laughed. "Tsuna can be really compassionate to the full extent. Extending helping hands to strangers. Do you know he almost died trying to save that lady?"

He glanced at the lady the noiret was talking about. "Chrome?"

"Yeah. He earned a lot of multiple wounds and broken bones, but he was already moving after waking up. He can't just sit still and do nothing." Ryohei watched as the noiret looked at the subject of their talk with gratefulness. "He also saved me from dropping and quitting my passion and ending up dying in the streets."

"Well, he is nosy."

Takeshi chuckled and elbowed him playfully. "Don't be like that. Tsuna does things for the greatest good and he never asks for any things in return- Tsuna? Why are you rubbing your wrist?"

Ryohei's attention went to Tsuna who has a hand on his right wrist.

"I-I..." Tsuna swallowed. "W-Where's Hayato? I-I think I need to stay with him today."

"I'll get the Cloud." Chrome volunteered and didn't wait for their answers as she vanished in mist.

"I'll be with little bambino for a while, Tsunayoshi." Mukuro declared as he sat by the foot of the bed. "Go get puppy-chan."

"I'll take you to Hayato, Tsuna." Takeshi said as he took both Tsuna's hands. "Kyouya will be here in a sec. Don't worry. No more cuts."

Tsuna has tears sled down his cheeks. "I-I-I wa-want t-to do i-it, Takeshi. I-It's overwhelming a-and I-I can't fe-feel anything."

Takeshi shook his head as he tugged the brunet outside. "No."

Ryohei pondered what he heard. Cuts? What does that mean? And to cry like that so freely, it must be really painful, but he said he can't feel anything. Overload? That can't be right.

"You did that." Ryohei looked at Mukuro who was glaring at him with his heterochromatic eyes. "He was already worried and you just have to lash out on him. Although half of it was Tsunayoshi's fault too. He was being careless. He knew he absorbs too much emotions from other people and he let you vent out your anger on him. Of course he'll be hurt with all those things you told him. He is a human with insecurities after all. If yours kill you slowly, his reincarnates him and kills him again like a cycle."

He stared at the other. "Why are you following him?"

"Because he's my sky." Mukuro answered with simplicity, but his voice is full of conviction. "He knows my pain, takes my pain and shares my pain. He knows what he is doing, backs up what he is saying, and strives hard to fulfill his promises. He doesn't give a damn if he has to die trying to save someone even if he doesn't know him. And I know Yamamoto told you about this."

"He's just deceiving you."

"Heh. Mafia corrupted you too? No wonder you can't heal. You aren't searching, you just want to prove yourself to everyone that you're not incompetent and useless." Mukuro smirked, the edges of his mouth were so sharp that he looked so sinister.

"What do you know?" Sasagawa spat.

Mukuro cackled. "A lot, Ryohei Sasagawa. Besides, isn't that what we usually do? Strive to prove everyone that we are not what they think we are?"

Ryohei didn't respond. More like he doesn't know what to respond.

"Ah. Now I know how we're similar." Mukuro smirked. "We both hate mafia. They took precious things from us. Killed our innocence and hope. And made us see how cruel life can be in their own hands, and we can't do anything about it. How pitiful."

"And yet you're being a hypocrite. Lounging at a mafia base and the most powerful one." Ryohei taunted.

Mukuro's smirk widened. "I may look hypocrite, but I'm under the protection of a future vigilante leader, and I'm here to protect that ideals just to see what those plans can do to this country."

"Vigilante..."

"Didn't you know? Vongola Familia was a vigilante group four hundred years ago. And Tsunayoshi is planning to bring the old Vongola back."

"How can you be so sure?"

"Oh. I'm so sure because as long as we're here, no one can kill him without reaching those dreams with or without his consent."

Ryohei looked at Lambo who groaned in pain. He thought of his conservation with Tsuna, Chrome, Takeshi and now Mukuro.

"Can you rank up how willing he is to help me find my sister?"

"For what? To say you're competent? Because of pride? I'd advice Tsunayoshi otherwise."

Ryohei sighed. "I already let go of those things years ago, Mukuro. I just want to get my sister because she's the only family I have."

"Hmm... Let's let Nagi decide on that."

"If Boss forgives, I will." Chrome answered as she materialized beside Mukuro.

"I'll also help heal Lambo." Ryohei offered.

"No need. You'll only make it worse." Mukuro declined.

"O-Okay." Ryohei responded, a little surprised with the easy declination.

The door opened behind him. Kyouya Hibari, with all his suit and glory, strode in with confidence. The only things that made Ryohei back away was the dark aura surrounding him, and the scowl that is itched on his face. Mukuro was obnoxious enough to laugh, and he earned a nasty glare from the skylark. But the latter didn't stop walking and went to the other side of the room. Not before glancing at Lambo.

Ryohei went for a deep thinking. Can he really trust Tsuna to help him?
