Quinn was about land on the ground in front of Robotnik's base when she noticed the E-100 series bot leaving the base. She didn't know what they were looking for, but she knew she would have to move fast in case they got back. "Alight," Quinn said to herself as she landed on the ground and took her flying gear off, "I'm in front of this weird base with an odd looking logo on it. If I'm gonna get info on who or what we're up against, I have to go inside. It'll be like a world wide scavenger hunt!"

She made sure she wasn't seen by anyone or anything that could and would compromise her position before she went into the base. Once inside, she saw three pods, all three of them empty. She also saw a lot of computers. On one of the computers had a map of the world and the 7 continents. 'Whoever owns this base must either be an undercover higher up of GUN with a massive ego stroke or the mastermind behind attack on the GUN headquarters.' Quinn thought to herself as she looked at the map on the screen and saw Empire City colored red. Quinn was able to take photos of the base, the map, and the files on the computer as she went through them when she came across one file in particular labeled "journal". She opened it and read the following :

"Entry log - File On Date - That pesky Sonic has foiled my plans again! I brought chaos, the god of destruction with me and had 6 of the 7 emeralds… only for the creature to defy me and my orders. With Sonic using the power of the emeralds, he was able to stop Perfect Chaos from taking over the world; however this defeat is nothing more than a minor set back. I have a password that will grant me access to the Ultimate Lifeform that my grandfather, Dr. Gerald Robotnik, created. And that Ultimate Lifeform is hidden on Prison Island. I also have the password to the capsule. the password is 'Maria' and I full intend on using this ultimate life form to make the world bend to my will. Of course, first thing is first, I have to get to Prison Island, located to the south west of the mainland of Adabat. When I write again, hopefully when I will write again, I will be gloating about my big win over that pesky hedgehog. - signed, Dr. Ivo Robotnik (AKA Dr. Eggman)."

This left Quinn with more questions then answers. First off, who was this "Sonic" character he speaks of? How did this Sonic he spoke of defeat Chaos, the god of destruction? What was this "ultimate life form" referenced to in this entry file? Prison Island? Wasn't that place abandoned after the explosion of 2001? And who is this Dr. Robotnik character? She barely had time to comprehend what she had read when she heard footsteps walking into the main area. There was no time to hide and her watch didn't have any features that could turn her invisible. There was only one logical thing to do : she grabbed a smoke grenade from her backpack and readied her aim at the entrance.

Right as she was about to pull the pin and throw the grenade is when she realized the footsteps she heard had come from Ally Thorn, who had been Sonic's girlfriend for a while before they mutually called it splits and are still really good friends. To this day, Sonic has told Tails if he was given a chance, he'd be with Ally again. Quinn raced up the stairs and hugged Ally. "Ally! Oh my goodness, I haven't seen you since you moved from Westopolis to Station Square! How have you been?!" "Blach! Uhhh… Quinn?! I… can't.. breath… you're squeezing me too tight!" Quinn blushed as she let go. "Whoops, my apologies, hon!" Ally could finally catch her breath as she looked at Quinn and smiled. "So, Quinn, I have 2 questions 1) how have you been and 2) what are you doing here?"

Quinn looked at Ally and said "Well, I suppose I should tell you what I'm doing here first. Well, I'm on a scavenger hunt. I'm trying to gather information so I can meet up with Zoey and Kelsey over in Spagonia and as for how I'm doing... " She was immediately cut off when the alarm went off. "Intruder Alert. Main Hub. Intruder Alert. Main Hub. Intruder Alert. Main Hub." Ally looked at Quinn and said "Fill me in later. Right now, we gotta run!" Ally and Quinn took off right as the E-100 Series bots came back. Gamma saw the files on the computer open and looked to his robot companions. "Search the whole base. The fugitives must be found and be brought to justice under the jurisdiction of Emperor Robotnik." After he gave the orders, he closed the files while Beta, Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta all searched the base from top to bottom. While they searched the base, Gamma was looking at security footage and had a good visual on who they were looking for : a yellow hedgehog and a white coyote. After hours of looking, Zeta concluded that the fugitives left and possibly have taken valuable data with them and the best solution would be to look in Station Square. With Gamma leading the way, the robots were gone and Ally and Quinn bolted for the entrance when they knew the coast was clear.

Ally and Quinn jumped out and landed on the ground just outside of base and looked around. They got lucky with their escape and they both doubted that they'd be lucky a second time around. Quinn was the first to say something after a long pause of silence. "What the heck were THOSE robots?" She asked as Ally helped her to her feet. Ally simply shrugged. Not even she knew what they were. They looked at the base and they knew there was only one logical way to get answers : go back into the base and hope that those robots don't come back. Quietly walking back into the base, the girls had a sense of uneasiness wash over them. It was as if they knew something was about to chase them. They had just walked back into the base when…

Hey, it's ya boy, Metal Sonic and he is not happy! Metal Sonic, justifiably angry at the presence of the intruders in Robotnik's base, started swinging at Ally and Quinn with all his might, but swing all he wanted, they put their agility to the test and as they dodged all of his attacks and even landed hits of their own on the robot. Metal, finally having enough of their shenanigans, decided to end this fight by putting his over drive to work. It was a one shot hit that sent Ally and Quinn flying into the wall with an impact that rendered them both unconscious. Having finally defeating his foes, Metal Sonic grabbed both of the unconscious girls and dragged them down the hall before taking off to the skies. The next stop was none other than Prison Island, in all of it's destroyed and abandoned state.

Back in Remnant, Sonic had just come to his senses as his eyes slowly opened. After finally being able to open his his eyes, he sat up and looked around the room. Where he was and how he got here, he didn't really know. The last thing he remembered is being slugged by what was either a hammer or a baseball bat and being sent sky high… only to come back down and get hit by that same object before he sent through buildings. While Sonic was collecting his thoughts, there was a knock on the door. With his attention on the door, he got off the bed and walked over. After opening the door, he saw Ruby and Blake. Sonic had to do a double look at them to make sure before he wasn't seeing things. Ruby only tilted her head before finally asking "Hey… are you okay?" Sonic simply nodded, not even saying a word while he was trying collect his thoughts on the situation. Blake took Sonic's hand and calmly said "You need to come with us. There is much that needs to be discussed with Ozpin." 'Ozpin? Who's Ozpin?' Sonic thought to himself as he finally responded to what Blake said with "Uh… okay?"

This was finally a chance for Sonic to get the answers he needed. After they walked out and Ruby shut the door, Sonic looked at Ruby and said "Not sure who's idea that was, but the hammocks as bunk beds was really clever." It was a long walk to Ozpin's chambers, and it was mostly in silence. When they finally got there, Sonic heard a familiar voice to him. As if it was someone he ran into back in the woods. Ruby knocked on the door and Qrow opened it. Seeing Sonic, all Qrow could do was give him the death stare. 'if looks could kill…' Sonic thought to himself before his thoughts were cut off by Ozpin saying "Ah, there you are! I've been expecting you! Why don't you sit down and make yourself comfortable? I have questions for you." Sonic sat down and said "You have questions? I have questions of my own and I think you might be able to help me."
