Chapter 154 – The timber wolf.
Raze's POV. Thirty minutes later.
"You okay?"
Looking up to Tusk who laid on the bed, I replied while adjusting in the small chair I sat in alongside the door.
"Thinking."
"Bout?" He then wondered as I calmly let out a breath to reply back.
"Raptor he...?" As I went to give the response the door opened and in walked the man in question. Tusk widened his eyes as Raptor gave him a nod, then looked to his side at me just getting out of the chair in shear panic.
"What happened? Where is Zeta?" I asked him as he calmly urged.
"Take a breath and relax Raze. She's fine. On her way back as we speak."
"So what happened then?" I asked him one more time as he carefully stated while walking over to Tusk who just kept his focus.
"Pierce and I worked out a plan to get her contract closed for good with Ying. As far as I am aware it worked. She's safe."
Widening my eyes in shear shock I questioned.
"What?"
Smiling Raptor replied.
"She's safe Raze. We can talk more when they get back. For now let me talk to him." He urged me as he focused on Tusk who at this point kept absolutely silent. Once confident he was safe to speak Raptor asked.
"You got an answer for me? You had a lot of time to think. Which is my own fault, a lot came up."
Tusk nodded once and continued to listen as Raptor went on to say.
"Your buddy Blitz is already out there helping me with some things. One of those things being Zeta."
Slowly I came to his side as Tusk questioned.
"He agreed?"
Raptor quickly replied.
"Yeah. Guy like him didn't have many options."
"Gorgon then?" He then wondered as Raptor took a second to rest his stance. After he replied.
"Gorgon is staying where he is. Regardless of your answer Tusk I have plans for the good Major."
Raptor said that almost as if he was enjoying the idea of having Gorgon locked up for the rest of his life. Which in any case is probably true. Doing his best to refocus, Tusk then had to ask.
"I'm useless right now. According to the doctor here I can't leave this bed for at least a few weeks. Do I have a choice?"
Smiling Raptor replied.
"No. You don't."
Tusk just began to glare at him as I looked to Raptor to urge.
"Go easy on the guy Raptor. Tusk isn't like most of those men out there working for G.U.N."
Looking to me as I said the statement, Raptor replied.
"I'm well aware Raze. He's more then some simple jockey. He's got information and he's got probably a reason to live right? You have a family don't you Tusk?" He then asked as Tusk widened his eyes slightly to the question. I smiled gently as he was clearly at a loss for what to say. Taking a chance I answered for him.
"He's got a wife and kid. Both of whom live in the middle east as well Raptor."
Raptor widened his eyes as Tusk added almost out of instinct.
"Not saying they miss me, but yeah I got them as a reason to not want to die on this bed today or any day for that matter." Raptor just smiled back with me as Tusk was clearly showing a much more relaxed frame of mind then I would have expected in this subject. Keeping himself focus, he looked back to Raptor to say.
"That's why I'll help. But I expect you to help me in return Raptor. Yes I know a lot about Linnen and that fortress in Pakistan he lives in, but I know a lot more. Information you would gladly like to know some day. So again I will help seeing as I want to see my family some day soon and seeing as Blitz clearly trusts you enough to say yes as well."
"I promise the two of you your freedom after this is done. After the war settles. But till then I need you both to work with me. Is that final?"
Tusk nodded to the question as Raptor then said with a much more careful voice.
"I will be leaving the country tomorrow. Which means I will be leaving you here with her and Gord."
"What?!" I shouted as Raptor glared at me. I had no idea what he was talking about right now. What the hell was going on? I asked myself as he refocused on Tusk to say.
"Others will come to speak with you. People like Mason and Archer who are both commanders. It's of utmost importance you do not say shit to them Tusk. Not a fucking word. To them you are a prisoner of war. It must remain that way. This goes for you too Raze. Not a word about any of our actions up till this point gets leaked. Are we clear on this?"
I couldn't answer. I was so lost as to what was going on now. But Tusk on the other hand questioned.
"They know I'm G.U.N, which means they must know what I can do right?"
Nodding Raptor replied.
"I told Mason you were important to the war effort and to keep you alive and unharmed. But Archer is a different story. He'll ignore the statement and go right after information involving me. The most you can say to that man is what happened the night we brought you in. Nothing about our little deal and nothing involving people like Zeta, or Raze, or even the men who saved your life. Not a word Tusk."
"Why?" He then asked bluntly as Raptor looked quickly over to me. I had no words. I just wanted answers. Raptor who was clearly trying to get us an answer soon replied.
"What I plan for this country is something that requires great care to preform. I want to change lives and many things have to be done in order to get there. Things I'm not proud of and things no one would ever think of as accomplishments. And between us; these things can not reach rebellion ear's. Especially men like Archer and Mason who I'm afraid I already told too much. Are you following me?" He asked Tusk as I looked back to the door to see Pierce standing there waiting with a rifle at his side.
Getting close Raptor finished by saying to him directly.
"You want to see your family again? Then do what I'm ordering you to do. Cause you and the good doctor will end up dead if I don't step a foot back in the building after I commit. That I can assure you."
Raptor's POV.
"Understood." Replied Tusk quietly as I stood back up straight to ask in a powerful tone.
"How'd it go?"
Looking back at the wolf who held by the door, I soon locked eyes with Pierce who replied.
"That's what I need to talk to you about. You free?"
Nodding my head, I replied while turning his way.
"Yeah. Come on then."
Pierce took my answer and as I began to walk Tusk said.
"Raptor?"
Stopping in my tracks, I looked back at the echidna to reply.
"Yeah?"
With our eyes locked he asked.
"Are you a user?"
Pierce who was ready to leave; quickly showed interest in staying when he heard the question. Raze even leveled with me as I stared at the echidna who waited for his response. Not giving him a change in my expression, I replied back blankly.
"Yeah."
Everyone stared at me from that point on. Just turning back towards Pierce I restarted my exit. At which point he let me through and began to walk alongside me. Once a safe distance away we stopped and matched eyes. He already knew my questions to come and replied while taking off his rifle sling.
"She's fine. Unharmed. Went up to her room when we got in. Said she wanted to be left alone for tonight."
Nodding my head as I looked around the area, I sensed only a few people nearby. All of which were busy doing other things. Looking back to Pierce after a few seconds of silence he went on.
"Juper and the others are on their way back. Should be in within the hour."
"Okay good." I replied as I then wondered.
"Was Blitz okay?"
"Couldn't tell you. Juper hasn't said a word. But judging that everyone is alive and he hasn't tried to run, I can only really tell you one thing."
Nodding my head I then sensed something was wrong. The way he was looking at me told it. Curious I asked.
"What happened? You're distressed Captain."
Letting out a sigh, Pierce replied while keeping strong.
"I'm not one to tell you your business. How you handle what comes next is all on you. I'll do anything I can but we both know that may not be enough."
"Pierce just get to the point here. What happened?"
Keeping leveled with me he replied.
"Zeta had a problem."
Widening my eyes slightly I questioned.
"What kind of problem? You said she was unharmed."
"Which she is. I wasn't lying about that. What happened wasn't psychical."
"Then what happened?" I had to ask directly as he struggled to pull up the next few words. After collecting himself Pierce replied.
"When we made our move to secure her we managed to pop smoke and hunker down and pick them off one at a time. But Zeta as you know was in the lead car. We couldn't get to her in lightening speed. When we finally managed to she...?"
Pierce stopped himself as I knew this was serious if he was this hesitant to continue.
"Pierce just say it. I'm the only one here. This stays between us."
Looking back into my eyes he replied.
"It's between all of us commander."
"What do you mean?" I questioned as he carefully replied.
"I didn't know she was a perfect user. That she had the powers of venom in her blood. It's rare Raptor. Hell even my men and I are just standard users."
I went silent and lowered my eyes as he went on to say.
"Perfect users as you know bear venom in their veins and use it when they see fit to combat injuries and receive large bursts of power. It pushes the body to the limits and sometimes over. For a lot of perfect users they can have issues controlling such power. It can turn a person mad...almost feral even."
I knew exactly what he was saying at this point. Cutting in I stated.
"I know. Zeta has problems. She went loose on me earlier today during a spar."
"She has more then a problem Raptor." He then stated back as I questioned.
"What?"
"She lost control. When I got to her she had Ness under her and I swear to fucking god she ripped his arm off with her teeth."
In utter loss I replied.
"What?"
Nodding Pierce went on to say.
"The venom took her. Ripped his throat out after it was all done. I'm not bullshitting you."
Taking a chance to lean forward Pierce almost whispered after it was out in the open.
"I don't know how to say this so just listen. Okay?"
I nodded my head as he continued to whisper.
"I don't know when or what exactly happened during the ride before the attack. All I know is what I saw."
"And what was that?" I had to ask in concern as we locked eyes again.
"Her pants down between her legs. Her shirt torn to pieces. Raptor Zeta was...?" Pierce stopped himself as he knew I understood the next words to come. Shutting my eyes, I muttered as Raze stepped out into the hallway.
"Shit! Fuck!"
The fox grew concerned as it was clear I was pissed now. Pierce got in between us as I asked.
"Are you sure Pierce?"
Looking to me he replied unsure.
"I don't know. I wasn't able to...?" Again I nodded and replied while cutting him off.
"Okay okay. God damn it. I knew I should have come. Fuck!" Again I shouted to myself as Raze asked worried.
"What's wrong?"
Keeping my gaze off her, Pierce took his care to reply.
"Nothing."
"Raptor?" She then said in concern as I shook my head to urge.
"I need to do something about this. Can you stay here and wait for the rest of them Captain?"
Pierce nodded as I took off for the main lobby. Once up the stairs, I focused in on Zeta's room. I sensed her in there but I was too concerned to keep going. Reaching for the handle, I tried to open it to only be met by a lock. After which went off I heard from inside.
"Go away!"
"Zeta open the door." I urged her as she went silent.
She wasn't moving at this point. Sensing no change in her movement I said with a calm voice.
"I just want to talk. Come on. Open it for a second."
I was hoping for anything, but met only by her going in another direction. Then I heard water. She was ignoring me? I asked myself as I backed up to think. Taking a moment to relax, I widened my eyes as I got an idea. Walking over to my room, I opened the door to be greeted by Molly who was on the bed.
"Braf!"
"Come here baby." I urged her as she got down to run for me. Picking her up in my arms, I made haste back into the hallway and to her room again. Looking at the door; then down to the pup, I urged her quietly.
"Don't be scared. Okay?"
"Braf!" She replied as I smiled and looked back at the door to focus. Once ready I took a step forward and through the door itself. Emerging on the other side, I looked down to Molly who instantly shot her head from side to side in complete confusion to what just happened to her. Sensing a bark to come I whispered.
"Shhhh."
Molly began to wag her tail as I gently placed her back on the ground. Looking up at the bathroom I saw she left the door a crack open and began to pace over. Molly stayed at my feet as I peered in to see her in the shower. Once confident, I looked down to Molly to whisper.
"Go."
She took a second, but soon saw Zeta as well through the glass. At which point she made her way into the bathroom and towards the glass door. As for myself, I quietly walked to the sink. My eyes saw what Pierce had mentioned. Her shirt which she had thrown in the trashcan was done. Torn in strands as her pants and everything else was piled on the sink. Refocusing I watched as Molly tried to figure out the door. Her paws were just barely big enough to get a grip on the bottom corner; and with a small smile I watched on as she got it to start moving. After some prying she got her head through and let out a happy bark up at the wolf who had her focus up till now on the water.
"Braf!"
I kept quiet as she jumped out of her skin and went back first against the wall to shout.
"Jesus Christ Molly!"
Letting out a chuckle, I continued to watch as Zeta popped her head out the door to see me standing there with nothing but a wide smile across my face. With water running down her face she shouted.
"How the fuck did you get in here!?"
"Hahaha!" I continued to laugh as she growled and looked back down at her feet. Molly quickly got accustomed to the water once more and began to enjoy herself in the shower. Zeta on the other hand looked back up at me with a nasty look on her face. I was almost about to stop laughing at her but before I could I shut myself up as her eyes went red. Instantly I urged.
"Relax! It was funny. That's all. Okay?"
Slowly she turned off and I gave her a smaller smile as she ordered.
"I told you to go away."
"You know I can't do that Zeta." I told her as she questioned.
"Why? Why can't you just leave me the fuck alone for one damn night?"
Standing up straight I replied.
"Cause Pierce came to me and told me what happened. You expect me not to say anything?"
Immediately she lost her face and everything changed. Instant sadness set in and I could tell she was hurting cause she quickly turned away from me to pretend like I wasn't there. Getting back under the water I said to her with a careful tone.
"Zeta come on."
"What do you want me to say Raptor?" She asked back as I went silent.
Taking a chance, I approached the door she still had open. Just looking in I could see everything. Once again her body was beautiful. Perfectly figured for a wolf and I'd be lying if I said she wasn't the hottest woman I've ever seen. Even though she was fucking nuts. Her black fur covered her completely from head to toe. Some nearly covering her eyes as she kept her focus on the wall in front of her. Molly remained next to her rolling in the water as I urged.
"I don't want you to say anything. It's my fault. I should have went with you guys after the meeting. Things wouldn't have turned out this way if I would have been there."
Her eyes went down to her feet as I went on to say.
"Zeta...did those men...?" Her eyes looked up to me and I bit my tongue as her gold orbs and wet face just stared at me waiting for the rest of the question. I had to ask. She had to know it too.
"Did they rape you?"
Her face never changed as seconds went by with us just staring at one another and maybe after five more she replied.
"No...no they didn't."
I felt relieved almost but it was clear something did happen. Keeping my tone relaxed I asked with concern.
"What happened exactly?"
Taking a second to come up with the words, Zeta soon replied.
"I spent most of the ride just yelling my ass off at them. I didn't care who it was but I did. I was just trying to kill time. For the most part Ness and his men just told me to shut up. Or they took care to hit me a few times in hopes it would silence me. But I just kept at it. After an hour or so, the men in the back had enough. The bigger one he...he held me down and shoved a rag in my mouth. Pinned my arms together and held my neck down as one of the others had my legs."
I just listened but it was clear to me she was crying. Even with the shower running through her fur. With her voice breaking apart she went on to say.
"While it was happening; this other guy took his chance to have some fun. Grabbing my ass...my boobs...soon enough he ripped my shirt apart and began to undo my pants. He...he...he got them down just enough and when he got his off he went to...he went to...?" Stepping forward into the shower I embraced her with a hug. Zeta widened her eyes instantly as I held her tight. With her head resting over my shoulder I urged.
"Stop Zeta. Stop. I got it."
With her tears running down my back; she muttered in an absolute broken voice.
"He didn't do it Raptor! Someone shot him before he could!"
With her arms going around my back she went on to say.
"Then when the truck came to a stop Ness and his men got out to set up a perimeter! The guy who gagged me pinned me to the car door and I...I...everything went dark Raptor! I was scared! I was so mad and the venom kicked in and I just lost my shit! I went feral again! Just like what happened with you! I lost control! AGAIN!"
"It's okay."
"Raptor I fucking ripped his throat out with my teeth!" She screamed as I kept her pinned to my body. She instantly began to cry out loud. For the next minute it was nothing but her crying into my neck. But during one of her many attempts to calm down she shouted.
"After he was dead I did the same thing to Ness! I took his arm off and bit down on his neck! I fucking ate him Raptor!"
I kept silent as she went back to crying. Glancing down to Molly who saw the emotion after some time. I looked back up at the wall behind her to urge.
"Let it out. Come on."
Zeta did just that. With no end in sight, I just felt only one thing was left to be said. Keeping her with me I said.
"Just let it out. I'm here for you. Okay?"
"Raptor...!" She whimpered as I urged.
"I'm not leaving you again. Not like that. Not ever. Not again."
Between the water running and many thoughts going through my mind. It was almost muffled when she whispered into my side.
"Thank you."
