Chapter Thirty-six

"Calm down." Takeshi hissed to himself as he stopped pacing. "You're Tsuna's rain. Be fucking calm- Damn! I need to go to Kyouya."

He breezed in the hallway. He can't stop himself from being jittery. He just saw Tsuna in his most vulnerable state. And he couldn't do about it. Not a single comfort. All he could do was put him to sleep before the party go to the Varia mansion to balance the brunet.

Is he even needed?

Is he even a rain if he can't do his job?

Damn it.

"Kyouya! Fight me!" He shouted when as he reached the garden. "Kyouya?! Come on! Fight me!"

"If you want to calm down, call the loud herbivore to check on the little animal." Kyouya, who was trimming a bush on Takeshi's eight o'clock, suggested before glaring at the fellow noiret.

"R-Right!" Takeshi agreed before taking out his phone.

He started to dial Hayato's number, but before he hit call, he stared at his shaking hands. He shook his head then clicked. The other rang three times before the storm answered.

"What?" Hayato grumbled.

"H-How is he?" He cursed himself for cracking.

"He's fine." The other side answered softly. "Chill out, Baseball freak. I'm not there to punch the reality out of you."

Takeshi sagged, his eyes tearing up. "I'm just so worried. I couldn't do anything. And I claimed to be his rain. I'm so useless."

"Do you know what will Tenth do to you if he heard that?"

He didn't answer.

"He'll slap you and will call the skylark to hit you with a tonfa too. Tenth won't want to make us feel useless. If possible, he'd like to remove you that feeling and take it to himself. Remember, Tenth is not someone who will allow us to feel insecure."

"What's the problem? Tsunayoshi is giving a pinched look again." Mukuro said in a distant.

"It's because of the baseball freak!" Hayato responded.

"Kufufufu. How ironic." Mukuro commented as his voice get nearer. "Rest assured, Yamamoto. I will take care of Tsunayoshi's nightmares."

"More like give the little animal a lot of pineapple themed nightmare." Takeshi laughed at Kyouya's input.

"Kufufufu. Won't that appease Tsunayoshi then?"

Kyouya only rolled his eyes.

"Did you calm down?" Hayato asked.

Takeshi sighed in relief. "Yes."

"There."

"And Tsunayoshi is having his peaceful sleep again. Obviously dreaming about me."

"That's just creepy." Hayato pointed out.

That night, they spent their time talking in the phone inside Ken and Chikusa's dining room. He was with Chrome, Lambo, Ryohei and Kyouya. Ken and Chikusa were only on the sides, listening to them banter and usually giving their own inputs that makes all of them laugh.

Whistling, he leisurely walked along the hallway of the mansion to go to the lobby. He wants to be the first to see Tsuna when the brunet stepped inside the mansion. Hayato told them that their sky woke up eight in the morning, being surrounded with the other skies and was eating already.

He couldn't help getting so giddy at the thought that Tsuna is okay now. That he can still wait for them.

"Sawada can just burn in hell."

His ears perked up.

"Suicide? Drama. He just wants to gain attention just like years ago. Such a useless shit. Should've killed him already." A man, with many tattoos that goes by the name, Haruko Satomi.

"Now now." Takeshi can't help saying as he felt himself smiling as bloodlust flowed. He's not usually hot headed. That was Hayato's role. But when it comes to Tsuna, his parent and brother, hell can go freeze but never touch the brunet. "That's not a good thing to say, Haruko."

"Huh? Why are you defending that bullshit? He's not worth it. He should've did the suicide-"

He punched him. Takeshi punched him with all his might in front of many mafiosi. Fuck. He doesn't care if the man is Tsuna's supposed storm. He doesn't give a damn if the Vongola mafiosi will attack because of this. Insult anyone, badmouth anybody, curse them but never ever Tsuna.

The rain stood up properly, craned his neck side to side before letting his flames pool in a little circle around him.

"I told you that wasn't nice to say. I think Ryohei needs to check up on you. Or should I already say that you need a good beating before I doze you of with a lot of rain flames?" Takeshi asked with a dangerous smile.

"Torren, you're scaring the kid." A mafioso tried to placate weakly using his pseudo name, obviously sending approval to Takeshi's latter plan. "Too much rain flame can kill a person."

"Won't that be nice?" Takeshi asked with an easy smile. "He'll be first to rot before anyone else. Not Decimo of course. He can live a long life if he wants."

"I'm going to kill that- Argh!" Haruko groaned as Takeshi stepped on his chest with flames infused feet.

"What were you saying again?" Takeshi asked viciously.

"Okay. Let's go before you kill him." The mafioso decided as he took Takeshi's arm and tugged him out.

Takeshi let himself be hauled away, smiling evilly at Haruko who was staring at him with wide eyes. He sometimes love how protective he is.

"You've lost your temper." The mafioso commented.

"I did. If it's my sky, everyone can die, just not him." Takeshi answered with a shrug.

The mafioso only laughed.

Lambo opened his eyes. He went out of his bed and took his jacket from the foot board when he passed by it to go to the door of his room. He closed the wood behind his back while looking from left to right of the hallway. He obviously took Tsuna's teaching to heart when it comes to crossing the road.

When he deemed the hallway deserted, he silently made his way to the end of the open window by the end of the corridor. He used it as his door and landed quiet as possible on the ground. Not like he can't survive a two storey fall. After patting himself from dirt, he walked on the path towards the Vongola mansion.

He ignored the mafiosi that are on patrol around the territory. He went straight to his destination, Tsuna's balcony. He knew the way because he has been gazing at it whenever the brunet is in the room either doing an afternoon nap or just preparing himself for a meeting with an alliance. He memorized the structure, colors and likes.

He thinks it's his way of coping up from his insomnia. Since the last time he slept beside Tsuna, he didn't get a good rest. He just can't sleep.

He stopped when he reached it. He stared at it before deciding to climb the tree that is near the balcony. With sneaky strides, he went in the room. The first thing he noticed is the empty glass. His eyes went to Tsuna immediately.

The brunet had this pinched look on his face. He was obviously having a nightmare. Lambo approached the bed after closing the sliding door of the balcony. He slowly lifted the cover and carefully slipped in beside his brother. He pulled it until their shoulders and hugged the body beside him. To his surprise, Tsuna hugged back and snuggled on him.

"Lambo... Miss... My brother..." Tsuna breathed as he hugged Lambo tighter.

Lambo tittered before pressing his face on the brunet's chest. "Love you too, Tsuna-nii."

The next morning, Mukuro woke him up and hide him with his mist when they went back to the house they're staying out.

"Argh." Tsuna groaned as he tried to tie his necktie as he walks.

Hayato chuckled before showing himself to his boss who was approaching his corner. He knew Tsuna will have troubles with his necktie. The brunet himself told him that he doesn't know how to do his necktie. He wasn't taught how to do it. Mostly, Ganauche does his whenever there's an occasion. But that was years ago, and Hayato figured it out.

"Ah!" Tsuna exclaimed before looking heavenwards. "Ga-Ga... Oh man. I can't remember your name." He sheepishly expressed.

Hayato shook his head. "That's because I didn't tell you my name, Decimo."

"Eh? You didn't? But I know it starts with letter G."

Hayato chuckled. "Yes. It does. They call me Gabriel."

"Woah. Like the archangel right? Cool." The brunet exclaimed with pure amazement.

"You haven't tied your tie, Decimo."

Tsuna groaned. "I don't know how to do it."

"May I, then?"

"Oh sure." Tsuna let goes of his tie and tilted his head upwards. "Thanks Gabriel."

Hayato started to arrange the clothe. "I can teach you how to do it sometimes, Decimo."

"You can?"

"I will."

"I'll take up on that offer. I don't want to trouble people when it comes to tying my ties."

"That will be the exact opposite, Decimo-"

"Tsuna."

"-Tsuna. They'll be honored to do your tie for you. To be able to be this near you and talk to you, anyone will want to die just to be in my position."

The brunet blushed. "You flatter me too much, Gabriel."

The silveret gave a small smile. "You deserve all the praises, Tsuna. And there."

Tsuna looked down and then gazed at Hayato with fascination. "Can I just hug you?"

"You can do that?"

Tsuna jumped on him. "Sorry to compare. You just smell like Hayato. And my family. Thank you for tying my tie. You're a total life saver. Enjoy the party and don't let the bedbugs bite you when you retire to your room." Then he stepped back and beamed at Hayato who was staring at him. "See you, Gabriel."

Hayato watched him go before shaking his head. "You'll be the first to sleep, Tenth. We have to protect you tonight."

"Damn!"

Ryohei watched as Hayato tossed the tray he was carrying to his back and used his flame as a boast to catch Tsuna who went flying. The sun caught the tray and set it aside to watch them catch his little brother.

Hayato used his body to catch the brunet's back and hugged him by the waist. Takeshi was there with him, a hand on the back of their sky's head and another around the shoulder. They both sighed in relief before straightening up. Tsuna, fortunately, didn't recognized them through their disguises and thanked him. When he heard the boss is hurt, he immediately volunteered to heal him.

Up close, Ryohei noticed the loss weight Tsuna gained. It's like stress got to him and everything else.

"Have you eaten, Decimo?" He asked.

"Oh. No. I wasn't hungry-" On cue, the brunet's stomach grumbled. He blushed. "-that much."

"Was it poisoned?" Hayato and him asked simultaneously.

"Kind of. I got a smell of something before I could even put some on my mouth so no need to worry."

"I'll get Elona to get food for you." And Hayato went out.

"You look great in your suit, Decimo." Takeshi praised with a happy smile on his lips.

"Ah. Yes. It's my first time in six years to wear something like this again." Tsuna replied with a relieved smile. "I hope they're here though. Takeshi will be all praise-y if he saw me in this kind of suit."

"Ah. Takeshi is the tall guy you've been with right?" Ryohe asked.

Tsuna giggled. "Yes. He's a rain. It's not a wonder why he's so goofy sometimes."

Takeshi's lips twitched upwards, obviously stopping himself from grinning.

"Done." Ryohei said.

"Thank you."

"No problem, Decimo." Ryohei then continued to check on him. "You've thinned. Have you been eating a lot? It's not good for you to get sick. A lot of people will worry."

"Well... Paper works aren't really good to me. Hayato and Kyouya help me alot when they were with me. But now that I only have me, I can't just work with it at double speed."

"Don't you think Gokudera shreds your marriage proposals?" Takeshi asked.

Tsuna shrugged with a happy smile. "Don't know. But it's fine with me. I don't want to get married yet, anyway."

Ryohei stared at him. "Why so?"

"My heart..." Tsuna looked outside the open balcony. "Is not here. It's in Japan, with my true family are."

Ryohei can't help himself from hugging the brunet. "And I bet they're taking care of it."

"Yeah."

Ryohei watched as Tsuna ate the food Kyouya cooked for him. He swore to make Tsuna gain more weight once he becomes his sun guardian.

"Fucking ten minutes more!" Hayato yelled.

Lambo rolled his eyes as he stared at Theodore. The guy is trying to attack him, which is very futile since he has an agility of a rabbit. Blame it on Mukuro and Kyouya who trained him vigorously when they aren't on each others' throats.

"Just who are you guys? Why are you attacking us?" Theodore panted in desperation.

"I'm Lambo Bovino. And I'm the Vongola Lightning guardian." And he let a lightning strike hit Theodore.

"Come on Lambo." Chrome said as she tugged the teen. "We need to join Bossu."

"Right."

It's the day of ceremony. It's the day they need to commence their plan to take their places beside Tsuna and help him with his plans. Though the plan didn't contain attacking the supposed guardians, but since Kyouya wants to bite them to death, they joined in.

"Stop flapping like a fucking bird, Baseball idiot." Hayato chided.

"I just can't. I'm so nervous. I'm gonna meet Tsuna without my disguise. Will he be angry? What if he rejects us?" Takeshi panicked.

"Don't think like that to the extreme!" Ryohei cheered. "Otuoto won't do that to us. He loves us too much to reject us. Besides, we are his heart. There's no way we won't make him happy."

Lambo smiled. "And if ever Tsuna-nii tries to say something he'll regret, Kyo-nii is here. He'll smack him to his senses."

"Hn. Good Little Animal." Kyouya praised as he ruffled the teen's hair.

Lambo laughed.

"Reign over your emotions, Takeshi." Mukuro said. "Although it's not bad to feel nervous and such, it's best to have control in it. After all, you are a rain."

"Yeah." Takeshi smiled as he took a deep breathe. "I am a rain. I should be able to feel calm when I need to."

Chrome nudged Mukuro a little. "Good job, Mukuro-sama."

"Kufufufu."

"I feel bad about attacking Basil though. He was really nice." Takeshi regretted.

"Yeah. He helped bossu quite a lot."

"And he was extremely pleasant whenever he checks the clinic with Tsuna."

"Nah. He knew he's not the rain guardian, so he let you knock him out." Hayato dismissed.

"His boss will train him hard though." Mukuro chirped in.

All of them cringed.

"At least he packed some punch." Lambo praised lightly as Klaus and Frances opened the door for them.

"Goodness. Those bastards didn't even matched up with us. Aho-shi could've done the work for us." Hayato grumbled.

Takeshi laughed. "Now now. Don't talk like that, Hayato."

"He just announced that I'm stronger than those idiots and the weakest among all of us." Lambo deadpanned.

"But aren't I the weakest?" Chrome asked, a little confused.

"Nagi, you are not weak." Mukuro responded.

"Thank you Mukuro-sama."

"Just extemely think about it, Octopus head! If you didn't fight your counterpart, you won't know how extremely strong they are!" The sun grinned.

"Heh! Pineapple was right. Those people have weak flames. They can't match up with Tenth's."

"Kufufufu. Of course. We are the only ones who can stand beside Tsunayoshi after all."

"Hn." Kyouya agreed.

Lambo muttered, "I can't get over the fact that Bakadera just announced that I'm the weakest."

"Just get over it, dumbass." Hayato rolled his eyes. Tick marks appeared on Lambo's head.

"I'm so gonna tell this to Tsuna-nii! Bleh! He'll definitely scold you while hugging me!"

"You little-"

"Maa maa. No fighting."

"Here they go again." Mukuro sighed with a smile.

Tsuna stared at them with amusement. The others are waiting for his reaction, obviously anticipating a lot of scolding for what they have done. They did infiltrate the Vongola territory. But the mafiosi in there were kind enough to keep their mouth shuts for Tsuna.

The brunet smiled and sighed before dropping himself on the bed. He hugged Lambo and sighed in content again.

"God. I missed you people. I'm gonna order a big bed so we can all sleep on tomorrow." Tsuna announced.

"Why not now?" Takeshi asked with an excited grin.

"I'll call them now." Hayato hurriedly said and ran outside.

"Do you always sleep in one bed?" Reborn asked to Chrome who smiled.

"Not at all. But whenever Kyouya and Lambo miss Bossu, they'll haul him to his bed and sleep beside him. Even Takeshi and Hayato join them. I haven't seen Ryohei but I know Mukuro-sama sits on the side of the bed just to be near. Don't be surprised if you get pulled on it too. Bossu is quite loved by us." Chrome replied.

"Hmm."

"Waah! Kyouya! I'm gonna fall!" Tsuna yelped as Kyouya pulls him from the back of his shirt.

"Hn." Kyouya hummed.

"Don't hn me!"

"Just get in there, skylark." Mukuro commented and pushed Kyouya from the back.

"Oomfff!" Tsuna groaned.

"Piney."

"Yes, birdie-chan?"

"Nope! Not in here!" Ryohei shouted.

Reborn smiled as he tilted his hat downward.
