Hello everyone! I've appeared with a new one-shot! This one is Sci-fi. It's my first Sci-fi in this site as well as the first Sci-fi on KaiHil pairing too! With this Sci-fi, I achieve some records:
a) Completing all the genres on my most favorite OTP.
b) Making KaiHil as the first and only pairing (Till now) which has fics written on all the genres in this site.
c) My second KaiHil lemon.
d) My 20th KaiHil. (Man, I know I am crazy. Pardon my craziness :P)
So...I'd like to dedicate it to MasKaiHilFantic, the biggest KaiHil fan and the KaiHil emperor in my eyes. Machu, you are the one for whom KaiHil became my first OTP from the second. Your hands are magical, so are your creativity and talent. I haven't forgotten you that tomorrow is your birthday. So, many many happy returns of the day in advance! *Bursts balloons and whistles!*
Okay, this KaiHil fic is quite dark and serious, almost like Checkmate which was a TyHil fic. Some scientific matters have been discussed in the first portion of the one-shot, don't read them if you feel bored.
So...here it goes...
Dedicated to: MasKaiHilFantic (The birthday boy! I'm gonna ruin your birthday, pardon me for that :P)
Pairing: KaiXHilary.
Rating: M
Warnings: Lemon, character death, a destructive situation.
So...let me shut up and read it now *Gulps*
Voltaire Hiwatari was a renowned scientist of Russia. Extremely talented and creative with a rich sense of innovations, he was respected and adored not only in his own country, but also all over the world. He was mainly a physicist but he excelled in other fields of science too. All the scientists across the globe had much faith on the effectiveness of his inventions and discoveries which were, really, very useful to the worldwide people. But when he announced that he'd finally discovered the formula of immortality, a thunderbolt crackled all over the heads of his co-workers and fellow scientists. How was it possible?
For replying to the question, he arranged a seminar in Moscow. From different countries of the world, researchers and science-related people, university professors and students came there. Though the discovery and its applications were supposed to be kept as secrets, journalists didn't let it be. They were at all the corners of the big hall-room with their cameras and microphones, prepared. The audience were sitting on the shiny black leather chairs of the gallery, eagerly waiting for the speech of Voltaire Hiwatari and for knowing the secret behind immortality. Some experienced scientists were feeling skeptical a bit because immortality was really impossible to achieve.
Soon, the Russian scientist came on the stage as the audience in the hall stood up to show him respect. Gesturing them to sit down, he ordered his secretary to turn on his laptop and share its screen on the rectangular white screen behind him through the overhead projector. All the people in the gallery were excited.
The paper was apparently normal. It was just a method to keep the telomere of the chromosome intact during a cell division. But when Voltaire proceeded more, it didn't remain as an ordinary research paper longer. He presented the formula of using telomerase enzyme in the cells of a living human body successfully. Some video clips were added too in the powerpoint presentation where Voltaire showed that he was dividing a few cells of human skin in his laboratory on a simple petri dish and the division had no possibility to stop. The result of the application was: It would stop the process of aging and keep a person ever-young. In another way, it would give a human being immortality.
"Then…." A young female scientist asked, "Won't a human being die ever if this method is applied?"
"Nope, Mrs. Tate, he or she may die," Voltaire answered, "But not for aging. To be simple, people will never get old and they will never die a natural death. Deaths still may cause due to fatal diseases whose vaccines and treatments haven't been discovered yet, murders, suicides, accidents and other abnormal causes. But in comparison with the rate of natural deaths, these demises are too small in number."
"Then, the population of the world will increase," Mr. Dickenson from Japan stood up, "After a couple of millenniums, in this world, there will be thousand-year old young people in this world. What will be their dreams? Will they feel overjoyed or depressed? I'm 70 years old but I can still remember my childhood. Will those people be able to recall their childhood? I don't think so."
Turning to Voltaire, he added, "I'm sorry, Hiwatari. But I think that history will hold only and only you as the sole responsible person for the destruction of human civilization. You'll be the most cursed scientist in the world in all the next generations."
Some whisperings started among the audience after the outburst of Mr. D. But Voltaire didn't care. Soon, the session ended and all the researchers left. Stanley again warned Voltaire but the Russian scientist was determined. He also knew that this application wouldn't be effective in the bodies of old people but in the bodies of newborn babies or toddlers, it would do miracles. So, he decided to make his grandson the first guinea pig of his experiment who had been born only yesterday. He also thought not to inform Susumu and Misaki about this. They might object against his decision.
'Kai Hiwatari….' Voltaire pondered, smirking victoriously, 'My grandson, will be the first immortal man in this world….'
~Later, 2000 years~
His sturdy fingers gently travelled through every inch of her soft velvet, naked body as his cadaverous, icy but unbelievably lenient lips captured her rosy, warm and usually soft ones. She wholeheartedly accepted the offering of his saliva-coated lips, both slurped sugary alcohol from each other's mouth. His tongue rubbed her pearly teeth, her one tried to stop his just like defending an intruder. They moved their tongues as swords which collided against each other, again and again. That time, the couple closed their eyes to get the full feeling of the erotic duel. The brunette shot her legs under the blanket, so did the dual-haired on her top.
Touch your body with mine
Color me
Touch your body with mine
Color me
I'm your devotee
You cast a spell over me
Cast a spell over me
Give me the ailment of love
I'm your devotee
You cast a spell over me
Hilary's petite but graceful fingers were wrapped around Kai's beefy back and well-built round shoulders. His hard chest muscles huddled her fleshy orange-sized breasts having light rose nipples, an absolute blessing to her pinkish-ivory complexion. Lustful, wine-like amethysts poured all the intoxicated stuffs into her thirsty rubies; those garnets also happily drank from the goblets of his eyes. His nasal ridge tickled her cheeks, noses, chin and collar-bones, mouth leaving hickeys all-around her neck. The chocolate-haired girl moaned in absolute bliss, clutching his slate bangs closer to her shoulders. They were two candles, sharing the same flame. That's why, when his brawny fingers clutched the soft mounds of her chest and tweaked the nipples, she purred, eyebrows twitched. Slowly, his mouth got lowered to her rosy buds, he held them between his lips and sucked. She was silent, but craved for more.
The night is barren
It's like a black dagger
The night is barren
It's like a black dagger
The fire within you
Is within me as well
If you give it any wind
Then my body will burn
Burn me with you
Touch your body with mine
I'm your devotee
You cast a spell over me
That day, the fire which was fueled by amativeness between them was brighter and hotter than any other day. She turned her face away and held the bedsheet tightly when Kai pushed himself finally inside her, expressing the height of his carnal desires. His palm clutched hers. In euphoria, she closed her eyes, letting her tears roll down and get the pillow drenched. The air-conditioner of the room, lit in the soft but mysterious blue glow of the dim-light-everything was working properly. Yet, they were soaked in each other's sweats. Yet, they were feeling so bright. In a congested room, Hilary was viewing the starry sky of a Russian night, lying under her Kai. Arousal of the seductiveness was still rising in their bodies.
There is joy in the night
And in everything you say
There is joy in the night
And in everything you say
Tell me what should I do
In such a situation
I'm crazy about you
You're my intoxication
Intoxicate me with wine
Intoxicate me with the wine of love
I'm your devotee
You cast a spell over me
After the round, Hilary breathed, showing her tiredness. Getting the hint, Kai lay down beside her, covering their undressed bodies with the blanket, pulling it up. The brunette was feeling quite light and free after the session. But when she looked at her husband, he seemed slightly down. Resting his head on his arm, he was facing the ceiling, not even blinking. There was no smile on his face. The chocolate-haired girl felt worried. It wasn't that he smiled frequently but Hilary could sense that Kai was feeling more dejected this time. Even at the time of the intercourse, she had got the impression that he hadn't been doing it happily. Rather, the despondence of his heart had been the source of his high sensual cravings at that time. Embracing his neck and tilting, Hilary asked, "Why're you so down today, Kai?"
"Huh?" He unmindfully got her hand off, "I'm fine, Hil."
"You're not interested in extending the talks. You aren't also answering to my questions properly. You aren't even looking at me, Kai," The brunette found the signs out, "I'm your wife. You cannot hide everything from me."
"I'm sorry, Hils," He pulled his wife closer, "But…I've feeling so restless since the past few days."
"Why?" His wife raised a brow, "What happened?"
"Don't know why," Kai shrugged, "I'm almost 2000 years old now but I still cannot understand myself."
"Let alone 2000," Hilary giggled, "Even though you turn 10000 years old, you will still fail to understand yourself."
"Do you understand yourself, Hil?"
"Why not?" She was quick, "Whenever I stay beside you, I feel that my age has decreased more than 1000 years."
"Can you remember what and how you were before 1000 years?"
"Nope," Hilary shook her head, "What's the loss if I cannot remember? Who the hell in the world could be happy recalling the past?"
"I love to live in past," Kai's stares were indifferent, "You know which thing I badly want to remember?"
"What?"
"My childhood," Kai answered, taking a breath, "I really want to remember what I used to do as a child."
"It's impossible, Kai," Hilary's hands were stroking his bare chest as her head was on it, "In the last 2000 years, ever since you were born, your memories have been erased five times at least."
"Hm."
"You know what, Kai," She spoke, not getting any response from him, "Whenever you started a new life, before the beginning, you erased your memories."
"Who knows how much new my new life is?"
"You're fond of adventures so much," Hilary snickered, trying to change the heavy topics, "That I think you changed your gender at least twice or thrice during these 2000 years. In this long duration, a lot of things can be done, Kai."
Not speaking anything in return, Kai smiled a bit, after a long time. Suddenly, in a serious tone, Hilary asked, "Kai, do you know what I want sometimes?"
"What?"
"I really want a lot to be the mother of a baby," The brunette let her husband know her desire, resting her head at the left of his chest and offering her ears to his heartbeats, "I wish I could have a little baby which will toss its tiny fingers and feet and I could hug it closer to my chest. Whenever I think of it, I…I don't know what happens to my heart."
"You know it far well, Hil," Kai brushed his fingers through the shampooed chocolate tresses of his wife, "The birth of new babies was banned before 1000 years."
"I know," Hilary said gloomily, "Yet, don't know why I want it."
"There are way more people in comparison to the capacity of this world for preserving human beings," Kai informed, "Do you know what I think?"
"What do you think, Kai?"
"The population of the world has again crossed the apprehension limit."
"What the hell are you saying?!" Hilary exclaimed, almost leaping.
"Hn."
"Hmm….." Hilary murmured, "You aren't totally wrong, I guess. For the last few months, the stocks of foods and beverages have been sloping down due to some faults."
"They're intentional, not occurring due to any fault, Hil," Kai protested, "They're simply coming from deficiency. In this 2000-storied building, not a single apartment is empty."
"Even the price of cloths has been increased up to 20%."
"Hn….." Kai breathed, "I think another step will be taken again to reduce the population of the world."
Hilary's heart shuddered. In the last 2000 years, for controlling the growth of population in this world, drastic steps had been taken quite a few times. Whenever the massive but planned genocides had happened, the memories of the alive persons had been wiped away. Yet, nothing was unknown to them. Like all the present dwellers of the world, the brunette was living in the fear of getting killed anytime. She didn't know whether she would be removed from the world for the welfare of human civilization or not. Biting her lips, she tightened her grips on the shoulders of her husband, shutting her eyes firmly.
Kai was gazing at the innocent, panicked face of his wife, not letting the eyelids fall on his pupils. He pulled her nearer to his chest, binding her in a protective hug. He remembered how they'd met each other before 1000 years. Together, they spent a millennium. At that time, in almost all the families, there were chaos and fights between the husband and the wife. Simple it was, nearly all the couples in the world were getting bored, fed-up with the respective partner by living together, spending a life where there was no happiness, no excitement. Even propagation was also stopped. The mentality of the elders and youngers was same. Nevertheless, this situation never rose between Kai and Hilary. Their married life was happy, they were contented with each other. Both they knew and believed that this satisfaction would never be less even if they had to spend more 10,000 years together in this world.
Because they truly loved each other. And love never dies. Not even in an emotionless, mechanical, cold world where there is no seat for love.
Startled, at the depth of the midnight, Hilary woke up, hearing the harsh resonations of sirens outside. Glancing around, she couldn't find her husband. He'd already woken up, standing in the balcony and looking out, fully dressed. Gathering her cloths together and putting them on, the brunette nervously asked, "Kai? Where're you?"
"Here." From the porch, he sounded. Sighing in relief, the brunette got down from her bed and went to him. She questioned, "What happened, Kai? Why are sirens playing now?"
"There's a grave, serious danger waiting for human civilization."
"Why?" Hilary's fear increased more as she grabbed his arm.
"The population of the world has crossed the apprehension limit."
"What?!" The chocolate-haired girl screamed panickily, "It has crossed the limit?"
"Hm," Kai nodded, "Cannot you hear the sirens?"
"K….Kai…." She stammered, "What…what will happen now?"
"The population will be decreased."
"De…decreased?" Hilary still couldn't believe it, "H…how?"
"Don't know," Kai shook his head, "Let me check the communication module."
When the slate-haired man clicked the control button of the communication module, the holographic image of a middle-aged man appeared there. By his uniform, it could be guessed that he was a high-ranked military officer. With his stern voice, he announced:
"This world is again facing a grave danger. When the number of people reaches a special number, the earth fails to carry them anymore. Through an inevitable destruction, the nature decreases the number of people. We don't want to face it because it was quite difficult to come out from the destruction.
The average age of the people of the world is 2000 years. In the last 1000 years, no new baby was born. The rise of the best and most perfect living being in this world has totally stopped. Human civilization is not suitable enough to waging a war against the nature. Now, they are powerless, vulnerable. We have to change the situation as soon as possible.
In the past, whenever the population crossed the apprehension limit, it was decreased and new children were given birth. Those who agreed to leave the world were removed. But sometimes, the number was very less. That's why, through lottery, people were selected and killed. Once upon a time, a virus was willingly spread across the globe which could make a man fall into the jaw of death very fast. That method reduced one-third of the world population. But this time, the situation is worsening. Even killing one-third of the inhabitants will not help now. So, at present, the half of the populace will be decreased at any cost.
This time, for reducing the world population, a new and interesting method has been discovered. In fact, if this method is not followed properly, there will be no other way to save the world from its ultimate devastation. The method is really easy. For tonight, the prohibition of murders is being revoked. Every alive person in this world has to kill another alive person tonight. For it, he or she doesn't have to face any punishment or the rules and regulations. Rather, the murderer will get another chance to live in this world. If any person doesn't kill another one and gets caught in the same state by the security forces, he or she'll have to face death penalty. The memories of the alive persons will be erased before the sunrise so that they don't have to repent for it.
Committing a murder is not easy at all. That's why, some easier, less painful and less harmless processes will be informed about it. They are—"
With a single scream of Hilary, the holographic image disappeared from their sights. She cluelessly looked at her husband, "No….it…it cannot…cannot happen….it can never happen!"
"But it has happened, Hils." Kai's tone sounded gloomy.
"A person can never murder another person!" The brunette objected, "It's…it's against the rules!"
"For necessities, many times in this world, a person has killed another person," The dual-haired Russian retorted, "The history of the world is the history of wars and battles. Wars mean mass murders. Planned, well-accomplished murders."
"But…it's not any battle!" His wife was restless.
"Who said that it's not a battle?" Kai blinked, "For the existence of human civilization, it's also a battle. Now, human beings are the enemies of one another. They've to kill one another now. So that they don't have to bear the guilt of the murder, their memories will be erased. They'll never know that they committed assassinations once upon a time."
"No, no, no!" Hilary hysterically shook her head, "This can never happen! A person cannot kill another person!"
"It's not the usual murder, Hil," Kai's voice was depressed, "There are no anger, vengeance, greed or selfish motives behind the killings. It's only a way to save the world, to save the existence of human civilization. We people didn't take the decision ourselves. We're only obeying the rule."
Hilary burst into tears, burying her face in her palms and kneeling down on the floor, "But how will I kill someone? Whom will I kill? How?"
"The person is in front of you."
Jolting, Hilary raised her gazes. Kai was standing before her, widely spreading his arms. His amethyst eyes had a strange affection for her which was bottomless. He was ready to sacrifice himself. But she couldn't agree with him on this term, maybe, for one of the rarest times in her life. Standing up, she quickly rushed to him and tied him in a tight embrace, "No! I-I cannot kill you, Kai! In this world, I have no one except you. I cannot live without you…don't force me to kill you….please!"
"Okay…." Even staying in the secluded hug of her husband, suddenly, she felt the touch of a metallic tube at her neck which belonged to any firearm and sent chills to her spine, "But…won't you even protect yourself?"
Shocked and gasped, Hilary broke the hug and looked at his face, her eyes remained wide-open when she saw the shimmering silver desert eagle held in the hands of the Russian, pointed at her. Not pressing the trigger, Kai pulled out another shiny 9mm pistol and threw it to her which she caught somehow. Noticing it, he spoke, "Protect yourself from my attack, Hil. I'm going to remove you from this world. At this very moment."
The brunette's jaw dropped. She looked at the pistol once, once at her husband. Her rubies were getting filled with tears but Kai's heart didn't flinch a bit though his amethysts didn't have any grudge against her. They possessed only love and affection for her, this time, with an equal amount of angst.
"I'm counting down, Hil," Kai aimed the desert eagle at her, "Three…"
Hilary's hands shuddered. The gun was about to fall from her clasps. Not caring, The slate-haired continued, "Two…."
"Kai, don't do this!" The brunette desperately cried, "Please, try to understand…."
"Don't kill your time, Hils! Otherwise, the time will kill you," The Russian was more than determined, "One…."
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
At the same time, both the white desert eagle and the black 9mm pistol roared together, splitting the bizarre muteness of the terrible, truly dark and cruel night. After it, the guns dropped, so did the couple on the floor. Blood gushed out in a torrent from their wounds made on their chests. They were feeling sleepy, heavy. There was numbness in their bodies more than pain. Yet, they started crawling so that they could reach each other, for one last time.
"K…Kai…" Hilary uttered.
"Shush…" Reaching her somehow, the Russian placed a finger on her lips, "You…you've done it…."
"No…we…we've done it…." The brunette smiled, "Now….we'll leave the world….together…..we'll be dead…."
"We'll be dead…." Kai gave a serene smile, letting his blood fall and redden the marble floor, "Not…not our love…."
"Coz love…. never dies…."
The brunette clutched the wrists of her husband tightly, losing more blood. Both of them were turning white, the warm, crimson liquid of life leaving their bodies. Breaths went unstable and heavy, their eyelids too. Somehow, the Russian pulled his wife into a one last hug, she wrapped her arms around his brawny physic as they managed to lean against the balcony wall, struggling much. The last amount of carbon-di-oxide remaining in their lungs couldn't come out, they couldn't receive the final portion of oxygen which had been reserved for them in the air of the world because of the ultimate press of their lips, against each other's. At the same time, rhythmically, eyelids concealed their rubies and amethysts.
Soon, their hearts stopped beating, pulse rate ceased. Skins went icier than the polar caps of the northern pole. A pair of pistols were idly lying on the tiled floor, existing as twin witnesses of twin destructive murders as well as a single, fragrant, poor, yet, pure love.
The love which never dies.
*Gulps* I know you all are ready to murder me with your bare hands or whatever you have by your sides. Was the fic intense?
Dear Machu, sorry for ruining your birthday but I couldn't really stop my hands (Now, everyone in this site knows Misty as a birthday ruiner as well as a criminal mastermind). But let me tell you, you're such a great friend, a big brother and my fics are worthless when they're compared with yours. You're the priest of KaiHil temple and I'm only a servant (Showers this rotten flower to your feet). I respect you from the core of my heart and watch it out, This Misty will never stop annoying you by giving you sudden messages. Where will you flee away from me, huh? I won't let you ;)
Okay, I was planning to write a good girlXbad boy fic featuring KaiHil, inspired from a SasuSaku fic which was written by Sora (Hiatus Indefinite), one of the best KaiHil and SasuSaku fans in this site.
Kai: Told ya, believe a snake but never believe Misty's hands. They aren't less venomous.
Misty: Really?
Kai: Hn.
Misty: *Makes puppy dog eyes and blushes* Okay, then you play the flute and make me dance. I'm the snake and you're the snake-charmer, let's not miss the chance! ;)
Kai: *Feeling nauseous* Cringey poem...
Anyways, that was only for lightening your mood. Dear Machu, I hope you've liked it. Once again, many many happy returns of the day in advance! May Allah bless you and keep you happy, safe and sound. Always stay in our touch, okay?
Dear readers, do read and review. Pardon the grammatical and spelling errors. Take care and stay safe :D
-Misty ^_^ ^_^
