A/N:

Two more to go. I wonder if I'll update them later or tomorrow. Oh well.

Anyway, go on with the chapter.

Chapter Thirty-Seven

Lambo squinted his eyes in hope to see someone amidst the smoke. There was fire everywhere. But it was really no shockers. It was now an everyday occurence to him to see fire in every base. For almost a year, Italy has been on literal fire after Tsuna declared a war against the mafia.

The twenty-three years old Vongola Decimo, not a mafia don, declared war to every single mafia families in the world. All mafia famiglie against the Vongola family. But it wasn't really astonishing that all their allied forces sided with them, mainly the Chiavallone, Simons, Milliefore, and Giglio Nero. The reason? Lambo can relate. It was the worry for the brunet who works himself till he dropped for the day.

For Lambo, Tsuna can shoulder everything for the sake of those people he love. He has to do a lot of pursuing just to make him agree of something. Even his fellow guardians have a lot of hard time trying to persuade their sky just to make him rely on them. Reborn gets in that situation every once in a while. Threatening, bribery and blackmail do not work with Tsuna. The latter is very hardheaded when it comes to risking his love ones.

"Lambo!"

"Ooff!" His muffled noise when a body slammed into him.

"Are you okay? You're not scratched, right?" A familiar worried voice asked.

Lambo chuckled as he looked up at the familiar brown orbs. "I'm okay."

Tsuna sighed. "Thank goodness."

"You worry too much, Tsuna." A man in fedora said as he stepped out of the smoke. "Lambo is strong enough to survive this little adventure. You experienced that first hand."

"And you still look Reborn." Tsuna deadpanned.

Lambo laughed. "He always is."

Lambo watched Tsuna talk with Reborn about serious matters. He can see the strain of the war on his nii-san. He, too, feels worried most of the time. But it cannot be compared to Tsuna's who has all the alliances to worry. The Decimo is so cautious of everything that he always has a solution to any scenarios. Like if he has plans, he fills up plan Z.1 and counting. And add the intuition he has, no wonder the Vongola and its alliances survived.

"Tenth." Lambo heard from his two-way earpieace.

"Hayato! Are you okay there?" Tsuna answered.

"Baseball freak and I are okay, Tenth. On your end?"

"We're fine here too. I'm with Reborn, got separated from Lambo but we found each other."

Lambo stifled a giggle when the storm sighed. "Tenth."

"Yes!" Tsuna stood up like a soldier.

"You better be unscathed-"

"Or else all of you will fuss except for Lambo and Reborn. I know that. Don't want another big room in the mansion."

A laugh resounded. "Maa maa... You were having a hard time breathing that time, so Kyouya helped by opening a wall for bigger space."

Tsuna glared at Reborn who chuckled. "You could've stopped that."

"But I didn't." The hitman smirked.

"Hayato? You're forgetting something." Takeshi reminded.

"Ah right! Tenth! All men in this famiglia has been apprehended and with that, Irie declares this war over."

"Hey Lambo." Tsuna called.

"Yes?" Lambo answered.

"Can you hold this for me?"

The teen took the earpiece. "Okay...?"

Tsuna didn't cry. No. He didn't even sigh in relief. But he did shout. So loud that Lambo and Reborn stared at him in disbelief. The always calm and composed Vongola boss started to roar at the sky, as if a lion announcing his victory with hidden grief to the world.

After that, the waterworks started. Tsuna dropped on his knees and cried his heart out, no care if Lambo or Reborn see him vulnerable. Because he's crying for those lives that died on his side and those lives they needed to end just to get this war over. He's crying for the worries he caused and he stressed for months. He's crying for the sake of Vongola Primo.

"W-What happened?" Hayato asked.

"Nii is crying."

"What? Why?!"

"Maybe out of exhaustion."

"He was the one who was shouting too, right?" A new voice said.

"Yes, Mukuro-nii." Lambo answered.

"I'll put him to sleep." Kyouya said.

"No. Let him be. No one but us can hear him." Reborn interjected. "Just gather here already so he'll feel safe then we go home."

"Yes, Reborn."

Tsuna raised his hands over his head and stretched like a cat. He just woke up and felt refreshed. He scratched his head before looking at the clock. Reading five am, he cringed. Old habit dies hard. So he went out of his bed, dressed up before getting out of his room.

Tsuna went to the kitchen and asked a mug of chocolate from his chefs. He was gladly served with sweets accompanying the treat. He thanked them before going for the living room where the TV was set. He sat down on the couch, took the remote and opened the TV.

"Once again, the mysterious vigilante individual was able to apprehend the growing drug syndicate single-handedly." A reporter said.

"According to our sources, this vigilant individual is not alone. It was said that there are nine main people, and others were just good citizens who loves to help people. These nine main people are scattered all around the globe and doing jobs out of the police's jurisdiction." Another reporter blabbered.

"For a vigilante group, it's very unusual for them to communicate to the police first instead of just leaving the people they caught in the place they raided."

"Yes. Sir George Leonard said that these people are under certain commands of one specific person and was not named. Regardless, thanks to this vigilante group that the world is getting a little better."

Tsuna took a sip on his chocolate drink before humming. "Need to get rid of that word little."

His day went on, without a single guardian in the house. As the reporter said, they were all around the globe under his command to finish certain missions. The papers that need to be signed are smaller since his guardians are lenient enough not to destroy anything. Even Reborn causes almost no damage.

The brunet smiled as he enjoyed the fresh air in his terrace. He missed this. It's been a year since the war, and the Vongola, now a reformed vigilante group under his command, is growing stronger at his own pace. The alliance that was once in his command is now scattered around the world, giving their all to rise their companies. Even the Vongola corporation is still on the number one chart under his father's orders.

"Never thought you'll be this relaxed." Tsuna looked at the owner of the voice.

"Tousan." He acknowledged as the man stood beside him on the railings. "Didn't hear you walk in."

"But I know your intuition alerted you."

"Yes."

"How's the life of Vigilante Boss?"

"It's okay. More relaxed than being a mafia. No stacks of paper works to do."

Iemitsu laughed. "Ah. The bane of our existence."

"Yes. Hope Lal isn't forcing you to do it."

"There are still Oregano and Basil."

Tsuna laughed. "Never mind."

Silence went between them.

"Have you visited her yet?" Iemitsu asked quietly.

"No." Tsuna shook his head. "You?"

"I did. I was in Namimori with the others when the war was at its climax."

"Hmm..."

"And I visited this year too. You should go, Tsuna. It's been eight years since you saw your Mom."

"Maybe when the others arrive home." Tsuna then looked at his hands. "But I don't really know what to feel... Visiting Namimori again after all the things the people there have done to me."

"In the mafia, forgive but never forget."

Tsuna smiled. "Mafia rules will never get out of our blood, won't it?"

"Never." Iemitsu shook his head. "Sometimes I wonder if our lives will be the same if Mafia wasn't gone."

"It's not gone yet, Tousan." Tsuna answered. "Mafia will live on, but not in my time. I rather have this than hear every second of those devastating news about child trafficking, drugs, ambushes. It's too much. And imagining those things happening to my family, I can't bear those to happen."

Iemitsu put a hand on his shoulder. "You're a great boss, Tsuna."

"Thank you."

"Don't you have any plans on marrying though?" Tsuna spluttered. "I'm getting old and Nana-chan won't mind having any grandchild to guide."

"I'm still too young for that!" Tsuna cringed. "And I doubt Reborn hadn't thought of it."

"Heh. If ever I wasn't a good father or died, Reborn will make a good one for you."

"Hmm? You think so?"

"Reborn is a family man, Tsuna. He's rather protective of anything he deemed worthy and important to him. He is rather cold and cruel in terms of other things, but you can see how he loosen up this past year. He's more relaxed and more expressive."

Tsuna nodded. "I observed that too. It's a good thing right?"

"According to Lal and Colonnello, yes. He was even playful and laughs often in their yearly meeting."

The brunet's smile widened. "Thank God."

Iemitsu didn't dare say that Lal and Colonnello always looked curious of why Reborn dotes on Tsuna the most in all his guardians.

Reborn stared at Tsuna who's in a gardener's outfit before staring out on the vegetation side of the compound. The place is rid of weed and looked rather clean. It was enough said that the boss of Vigilante group had done the job out of boredom.

"Eh? Welcome home, Reborn."

The hitman looked at the man who greeted him with a smile. Warmth surged in. He swallowed his sigh. He's almost as bad as the Decimo's guardians. Wanting to be home as soon as possible because they miss the warmth of their sky. Yes. He is also under the protection of this little sky. One hundered and twenty-six years old Renato 'Reborn' Sinclair did his job quickly due to the fact that he wants to see the man in front of him greet him 'welcome home' with a smile.

This guy has grown on him. He got used with the excessive worrying, the protectiveness, and the possessive strikes. He was even comforted by the same man when he was suddenly on the dumps. He remembers waking up in the middle of the night, watching the brunet go under the cover with him and wrapped his arm around the hitman's shoulder and patted his head as if reassuring him that he wasn't alone. And he begrudgingly admitted that it was the best night sleep he had in his entire life.

"Here." Reborn said as he tossed Tsuna a paperbag. "Souvenir."

"Woah. Thanks- Aw man! Chocolates!" The brunet gushed as he opened one and ate it. "Ah! This is nice."

"If Byakuran has addiction on marshmallow, you're as bad with chocolates."

Tsuna pouted. "I don't eat that much sweet."

Reborn rolled his eyes. "And five mugs of chocolate drinks in the day didn't speak volumes."

"It's not-"

"A day."

"Day- Oh."

"Yeah. Oh. Now, come on. Your guardians are on the way."

"Eh? Are we going to do something?"

"I heard they love having your food as a welcome home."

Reborn shook his head when he heard the other laugh.

"Go to Japan?" Takeshi asked.

Tsuna nodded as he cut his steak. It reminds him of Xanxus. "Yup. Just for a month. The Simouns volunteered to take over when I shared Enma of this."

"Where in Japan?" Chrome asked.

They tensed up when Tsuna didn't answer immediately.

"Namimori." Tsuna replied. "Tousan talked me out. I'm already twenty five. And eight years since I visited Kaasan."

"You did accompany me when I visited my Mom." Hayato absentmindedly remembered.

"Mine too." Lambo chirped.

"It will be a good thing." Ryohei answered. "This way, Takeshi and I can visit our parents too."

Tsuna smiled. "Thank you."

"So what are you planning to do?" Reborn asked.

The boss made a thinking face. "It's been a while since I went for casual. And it will be a good disguise since I doubt there aren't any living mafioso in Japan."

"That will be nice." Mukuro commented. "I heard your description on some mafioso."

Tsuna winced. " I don't think I want to hear that."

"Oh. It's nothing bad, Tsunayoshi. They thought you have this short hair with small bangs and black eyes. Also tall as I am and rather muscular."

"That's the exact opposite of me!"

"No one saw you in our raids in the war, so it's a nice description." Chrome reasoned out.

"If I know, they're describing Kyouya or Takeshi." Tsuna sulked. "Curse my body for being like this."

All of then laughed at the sulking Decimo.

"Hmmm... Then I'll stay to watch over the Simouns." Reborn said. Tsuna stopped cutting his stake and looked at the hitman who looked at him too.

"But you promised." Tsuna whined.

The man raised an elegant brow. "When?"

"Two years ago. If my memory serves me right, you said the same thing and I told you that I want all of us to come, so I can introduce you to Kaasan."

Reborn huffed. "I did not agree."

"But they said silence means yes. So you implied a yes two years ago, when I was in bed surrounded by my guardians and asking for their forgiveness."

The others paled at what Tsuna said. Regardless of how cheery the Decimo is, he will always be the last person who can say something to render the hitman speechless.

The hitman smirked. "You're so cheeky, Tsuna."

He smiled wider. "Nonsense. I just want us to be complete."
