"We need your help, no questions asked." Lilith looked up from her book and saw Luz and Amity. They both looked very nervous and about to breakdown, and Lilith could only guess why, it was a natural reaction after all. The dark-haired woman stood up from her seating position and walked to the front of the couple, which only seemed to make them all the more nervous. Lilith was now slightly more confused now that the thought began to be explored inside her head, this wouldn't be the first time for neither Luz nor Amity, and so the thought of them being nervous was slightly odd, yet all the same, the woman offered them a comforting smile, trying to ease the fear out of her former protege and her wife. "Did you put the body on ice?" The eldest of the clawthorne asked, only to receive two nearly polar opposite responses. Amity's face turned red with what Lilith could only guess was irritation, while Luz laughed nervously and rubbed the back of her neck. "What? We didn't kill anybody!" Amity hissed and welcomed herself into the Owl house, Luz running after her while mumbling an apology. "We need your help to prepare a party for Eda," Luz exclaimed excitedly, yet there was uncertainty in her voice. Luz moved her hands up and only then did Lilith saw she was carrying two large bags with her. "A party? As far as I remember there isn't anything to be celebrated today." Lilith stated. "Nothing to celebrate! Tonterias! You can party about pretty much anything, now come on, you'll find out later!" Luz exclaimed, no amount of uncertainty or fear to be detected anymore in the young woman's voice anymore. "Can't I know now?" Lilith asked. "No, you can't, do you want to help or not?" Amity snapped, causing both Luz and Lilith to flinch. Just what was wrong with Amity today? The first thing that came to mind was that the newly turned Noceda was in the middle of what Luz had appropriately named 'Shark week' but she had never once behaved as bad as she did now. "Uhhh... so you in?" Luz asked rubbing the back of her neck for the second time. "Yes, of course." The woman answered, her eyes not leaving Amity for a second.

"So this is what we'll do for now, Lilith and I will clean the kitchen a little, and Amity you can clean the dishes." The human explained, both witches nodded in approval of their new position and began the work. Washing hundreds of dirty dishes that they all knew were beyond cleaning for Amity's part and cleaning the comical amounts of dust from the furniture and floors for Luz and Lilith. It felt like hours until Luz decided it was enough cleaning, it had probably been around ten minutes, but Amity's snarky remarks at Lilith for even breathing and the couple acting as they had just committed genocide made for the worst ten minutes in Lilith's life. Luz sat down on a stool and caught her breath before attacking one of the bags and taking out various party accessories such as balloons, napkins, plastic eating utensils, confetti poppers, and even rainbow kazoos. "Oh, man! I forgot the piñata!" Luz whined and threw her head down on the counter, causing Amity to smile for the first time that evening. "I'm sure that a piñata wouldn't be necessary." The eldest witch consoled her sister's former apprentice. "What?! There is no party without a piñata!" The human fought back, yet unlike her wife's previous comebacks, hers were playful and full of positivity. Lilith was about to speak but was interrupted by Amity, who thankfully had nothing to say about her this time. "Anyways, Eda will be back in about ten minutes so we better hurry up." "Ten minutes!?" Luz stammered and sat up, beginning to open everything and take out a beautiful cake out of the other box. "Don't just stand there!" The dark-skinned woman called, breaking the witches out of their stance. Lilith began to inflate the never-ending amounts of balloons while Luz and Amity worked at putting up the plates and eating utensils as well as putting everything in place. It was somewhat concerning watching the couple, between Amity becoming tired by pretty much just standing and her frequent breaks to the bathroom only led Lilith to worry, and with good reason, Amity is a member of the empress coven and is one of their most powerful witches, and the fact that putting up some decoration was tiring her did not inspire much confidence. "Ami! I told you not to do that!" Lilith looked up from her ministrations to see Luz scolding and leading a now pouting Amity to a bar stool, and for the looks of it, she was trying to move a couch that Eda, in her all infinite wisdom, had placed in the middle of the room, making the kitchen look more awful than it had any right to be, it was probably a hate crime at this point. Lilith thought about asking her what was happening, but opted against what she now realized was a terrible mistake, the brunette clearly didn't want to be interrogated, or really even looked at for that matter.

"Lily, can you put up the banner?" Luz asked once she was done moving the couch against the wall, and while it still looked bad, it didn't look as awful as it previously did. The witch was about to perform her magic, but stopped once she heard what sounded like a sob coming from where Amity was seating. "So you think I'm too weak to do magic huh?" The shiny plates paled in comparison to how white Luz's face became. The human immediately moved down to sit and hug her lover. "Of course not! You are one of the strongest witches, no, scratch that, strongest people I know! Come on Preciosa, we've talked about this." Luz comforted, her voice going from desperate to soft. "I'm sorry!" The witch cried, hugging and hiding her face in the crook of Luz's neck, and after the initial surprise, Luz was more than glad to hug her partner back. Just what happened? "I'm sorry I was rude earlier Lilith! I didn't mean to." The woman cried. "It's quite alright, no need for tears." The elderly witch comforted, concern and curiosity eating her alive. "Eda's coming! Hoot." Hooty declared, entering the kitchen by breaking a window. It was almost scary how Amity changed from a crying mess to an unforgiving kill machine. "Quick, put the banner, and let's hide!" Luz exclaimed while sitting up and turning off the candles. Lilith quickly did a spell circle that tied the strings at the banner's end to the ceiling and hid behind a curtain that absolutely should have never been placed in a kitchen, and all Lilith wanted to do was give the whole place a magical makeover, but it wouldn't be the owl house if she did even attempt to generate any amount of order in her home.

The door opened and Eda's and King's voices were heard. "Lily! I'm home!" The youngest sister yelled at the apparent emptiness of the house, only to receive no answer other than the cracks on the floor. "Hmmm. What do I smell cake!?" King asked and made a mad dash towards the kitchen, or as fast as his legs could carry him, which wasn't very fast. "Cake? I don't have cake! Come here you ruffian I'm giving you a bath!" Eda shouted and ran after the domestic demon, only to find herself in complete and utter darkness. "What the-" "Surprise!" The three witches exclaimed, coming out of their hiding position, magically turning on the lights as well as activating the confetti poppers, effectively catching Eda off guard. The elderly witch screamed and casted a fire spell at the banner, making it catch fire. The four women just stared back at each other and the now burning banner before Lilith cleared her throat and performed a spell that made the fire stop. "Kid! You can't surprise me like that!" Eda scolded with faux irritation. "Sorry! But anyway, congratulations! Sit down so you can blow the candles and- King! Cake is not for you!" Luz laughed and guided the now confused witch down to a barstool in front of the cake. The gray-haired woman looked at her sister, the question clear in her face. "I'm just as confused as you are," Lilith answered. "Owlet, I appreciate the effort, but why?" Eda questioned, causing Luz to almost burst out giggling. "Think about it," Amity answered and for a moment Eda did try to find a logical explanation. "Well, I'm pretty sure it's not Christmas or Halloween, you two's birthdays are off the list, I'm pretty sure Lilith's already passed, and I'm hella sure it's not my birthday," Eda answered, Amity was about to speak but was interrupted by Hooty. "Is it my Birthday?" The house demon asked with his very obnoxious voice. "No, now go away or it will be your death day," Amity said, trying her hardest to sound calm and collected and not let years of pent up anger against the owl demon show, at least not now. Hooty pulled back while mumbling something about not letting them come in again. "How many candles are on the cake?" Luz asked, sitting beside her pseudo mother. "Ten?" The elderly witch responded, not too sure she was following. "Correct! And do you know what happened nine years ago?" That question send Eda into a loop. So many things had happened ten years ago, both good and bad, but the first thing that came to her mind also happened to be the best one. "We met? Sheesh, kid, you're making such a big deal out of that? If you wanted to show how amazing I am then you should've just bought me alcohol or something shiny." Eda said, and Both Luz and Amity were giggling messes at this point. "Is it not that!?" Eda asked, it had to be that! If it wasn't then what was more important than their fateful first meeting. "It is! But I just wanted to give you a party for taking me in and becoming the coolest, most powerful, funny, and amazing owl mom, and Amity and I thought it would be nice to give you a party now that you're going to become the coolest, most powerful, funny and amazing owl grandma." Luz giggled, and for a moment Eda almost didn't realize what had just come out from Luz's mouth. Lilith gasped and ran up to the two women, but Eda had to take a second the let news wash through her. Grandma... she was going to be a grandma! "Owlet!" The witch cried and shot up from the stool, immediately taking in the two women into a hug, and by extension Lilith as well. The four stayed in the same position until King decided to break the wholesome moment. "Uhhh... guys? What's going on?" The demon asked from the kitchen counter, his claws filled with frosting, only to be ultimately ignored by everyone. "Who is it!? Let me see!" Eda exclaimed once she broke the hug, and although she felt capable of hugging her kids and sister all day, the curiosity to see the unborn baby was just too strong. Luz and Amity looked at each other, smirks playing over their faces. Amity moved her pure white blouse a bit up to reveal her swollen belly. "I made that," Luz stated, her chest puffing up with pride and her eyes never leaving her wife's belly. Eda's hands trembled as she moved them up and closer to the woman's stomach, only to stop midway and look expectantly at them, who only nodded, somehow know exactly the question that played over the witch's mind.

"Hey, there owlet junior... it's grandma..." It was all Eda managed to say before breaking down. The reality of what was happening was giving Eda a hard time thinking, all she could feel was a bittersweet taste traveling throughout her body. She was beyond happy, of course, she was happy! She was going to be a grandma! But the bitter part reminded her that Luz, her dumb kid, was the one who made the baby, and she was going to be a mother, her dumb kid was not a fourteen-year-old girl anymore, she was now a young woman who was starting her own family, and even though Eda was becoming more and more aware of that fact, the realization made Eda unsure of how to feel. The next thing Eda knew was that she was thrown into a hug by Luz, and all Eda was able to do was cry into the woman's shoulder, both happy and nostalgic tears. "Do-do you know if i-it's a girl or-" "Both." Eda was confused by the woman's reply, only to start laughing when she did get what she meant. "Hope you know you will never sleep again." The witch joked, only for Luz to shake her head. "Nah, they have granny and grandaunt who will help Mommy and Mami catch up some sleep." Luz giggled, only break the hug and look at Amity, who was being congratulated by Lilith and didn't seem to be in half the bad mood as earlier.

"Wait... you ate a baby!?" King questioned while pointing an accusing finger at Amity, who only looked at him with confusion. "No? Why would I ever eat a baby?" Amity answered. "But there is a baby in there?" King asked again, his finger dropping. "Two, but yeah," Luz said, becoming all the more entertained at the demon's confusion. "So if you didn't eat a baby, how did it got in?" It was a seemingly simple question, but both Luz and Amity blushed to their ears, Lilith looked around awkwardly and Eda smirked. "Uhhh... Through... Magic?" Luz tried her best to explain, and while it was true it left a lot out. "And the power of Love!" Amity was a bit more sure of herself, but seeing how low the bar was set it could have still been better. "Edalyn do not!" Lilith yelled, and Eda laughed. "What!? I didn't do anything, but we all know what we were thinking!" Eda defended herself. "What?" King questioned, "Nothing!" Lilith, Luz, and Amity all yelled in unison, faces beyond red. Eda smiled, otherwise she'd probably cry at seeing the way her growing family interacted. Even though her dumb kid had married a possibly even dumber kid, moved out, and now made two babies, she will always be her dumb kid no matter what, her owlet, and Eda would always be here for her no matter what, she would be right here ready waiting for their next adventure.
