It was a sunny day and Percy and Annabeth were sparing together. Percy managed to knock out her drakon dagger and pressed riptide against her neck.
"Looks like you lost wise girl." Percy said triumphantly.
"Did I?" Was all she said when she suddenly swept her leg and hit the back of Percy's knee. Unbalanced she pushed him over,grabbed riptide and put it against his throat.
"Looks like I won! What is that now 30 to ...16?" She mocked.
"Not Fair! That should-" He started but was cut off by the ground rumbling. Soon it subsided then started again. Annabeth got off Percy and rushed to pick up her dagger,but not after giving him his sword back. The rumbling stopped. They got up and rushed out of the arena to look for Chiron but found all the campers outside swarming over something. By the looks of it,it was a hole. A very dark and deep one. They walked towards it and felt a familiar pull. They shared a look.
"Why is this here? This leads straight down to...there." She asked furious.
"We don't know how it got here but it was here after the rumbling-" Started Will Solace but was once again cut off by the rumbling. Campers stumbled and suddenly there was a scream.
Percy assumed the scream was a camper but boy was he wrong. A figure practically shot out of the hole and then the hole closed but not after not monsters came flying out too. The campers regained their balance and cautiously walked over to the figure. I figured out it was a human,a girl. I held riptide in my hand and pushed the girl softly with my foot but she didn't stir. Suddenly I saw the marks. There were scratches all over her body and she was bleeding badly. I picked her up.
"Will,she's greatly injured, we need to go to the infirmary.Now!" I ordered him. He hesitated but followed me as soon as I started sprinting towards the infirmary. Suddenly Chiron stood in front of me. Along with Dionysus.
"What's going on, who is she?" Asked Chiron. I just shrugged and started to try and pass him when he grabbed her from my arms. He turned her facing upwards so she was lying on her back. He and Dionysus gasped and the wind god bent down and brushed the hair out of her face. I was surprised to see him so gently. Even more so when I saw tears crawling down her face.
"Finally. You're safe now." Dionysus muttered and picked her up and flushed away. Suddenly I saw a flash of light and I was standing before the gods along with Annabeth who must have been in the middle of a conversation because her mouth was open.
"No,Clarisse you don't under-s-stand?" She stuttered .
"Where am I?" She asked. THen she saw me and rushed to hug me. I heard Aphrodite coo and I turned her towards the gods.
