Hazel
The four girls walked up the stairs to go to their room. Annabeth and Piper were soaked and watery footprints trailed behind them. Hazel, luckily, was perfectly dry. She liked the jean jacket she was wearing and did not want to get it wet.
They walked up to their room and took their suitcases off of their beds and started unpacking. Annabeth didn't have to, lucky girl, Hazel thought, but the rest of them were tirelessly folding clothes and putting knick-knacks away.
"I think I'm going to kill Percy," Annabeth said as she took some dry clothes out of her drawer.
"Why aren't you trying to kill Piper?" Hazel asked.
"Because I share a room with her and I'd rather keep relations nice," Annabeth said.
Piper grinned. "Yay!"
Calypso said, "Don't kill Percy before the dance okay?"
"Why? Do you want to ask him?" Annabeth asked.
"Yeah," she said.
"Jason asked me to the dance btw!" Piper said.
"Aw, I'm so happy for you Piper!" Hazel said. "Also, there's a dance?"
"Yeah. We have one to kick off the start of the year," Annabeth said.
"But nobody knows anyone," Piper said.
"We get to know each other at the dance," Calypso explained. "It's kind of the point."
"What if we all just went as friends with Jason's group?" Hazel asked. "That way none of us have to ask anyone."
"But I want to ask Percy!" Calypso said.
"Then ask him, gosh dang it," Annabeth said. She seemed to be getting a little bit annoyed.
"I think it's a great idea, Hazel," Piper said.
"Thanks, Piper!" Hazel said. She looked at her phone. She had a new text from Sammy!
Hey Hazelnut!
Sammy!
Aw, did you miss me or something?
Or something : )
"By the way, phones get taken away from Monday to Friday," Calypso said.
Hazel looked at her phone. "Really?"
"Yeah. Chiron likes us to be removed from technology," Annabeth said. "A lot of kids don't have phones. We just write letters to people."
"In 19th century Russia we write letters we write letters!" Calypso sang. "Sorry, I'm such a Great Comet nerd."
"Is that a musical or something?" Hazel asked.
"Just one of the greatest musicals ever!" Calypso said.
"I've listened to Hamilton," Piper said. "I went to see it on Broadway."
Calypso's eyes went wide. "AMAZING!"
"Back to the main point," Annabeth said. "Who else here besides Hazel and me has a phone?"
"Me!" Piper said, showing them her phone.
"Your phone case is adorable!" Hazel said. She loved chickens.
"Thanks," she said. "I get a lot of compliments on it."
Hazel took two of her Sunday dresses out of her suitcase and went over to the closet that Calypso and she shared. Calypso owned a lot of dresses though so there was hardly any room left.
"Do you guys have any spare closet space and/or hangers?" Hazel asked.
Annabeth and Piper shook their heads.
"It's a universal girl problem," Piper said, "Along with losing hair ties and sexism."
"Don't forget childbirth and pettiness!" Annabeth said.
"I think pettiness is sort of an everyone problem," Calypso said.
"Regardless of any of that," Hazel said, "We still don't have enough hangers and closet space."
"Then just pack a dress or two in a drawer," Piper said.
"Hazel, I'll fold some of my dresses up and put them in the drawers and you can have whatever extra closet space and hangers are left," Calypso said as she pulled out a white minidress, a pink sundress, and a blue bathrobe off of the hangers.
Hazel put her black dress, her yellow dress, and her white dress on those hangers, and Piper inspected them. "Girl, we have got to take you shopping."
She laughed. "Sounds like a plan!"
