Leo

The little drone he had made was flying perfectly now. He decided to name it Festus. Leo flew it back to him. It would be cool if he could paint a dragon on the side, but he had no artistic talent whatsoever.

Leo threw it into the air and flew it over to Percy's bunk. Percy looked up at it. "Whoah, that's really cool."

"I call him, Festus!" Leo said.

"You made that?" Frank asked.

"Yep!" Leo said. He loved showing off his inventions.

"That's awesome, Leo," Jason said.

He flew Festus back to him and smiled. He took a couple of sheets of metal out of his bag and thought about what to make next. Maybe another drone? Make Festus a girlfriend or something. Maybe a brother? He'd never had a brother or a girlfriend. Festus deserved as much.

Leo jumped off of the bunk bed and said, "Does anyone want to go back outside with me?"

"I'll come," Jason said. "Let's see if any of the girls want to come too." Leo nodded and the two of them walked outside.

"So, you've been here a while, right?" Leo asked.

"Yep," Jason said.

"Are the girls here hot?"

Jason laughed. "I only know four of them really well. Annabeth, my sister Thalia, Reyna, and Silena. Now, Silena's a knockout but she's way older than us and dating Charlie Beckendorf. Thalia and Annabeth are sisters to me so that'd be weird and Reyna is nice-looking."

"Is Reyna the scary one?" Leo asked.

"You're going to have to specify. There are a lot of scary girls here."

"I second that," Leo said. He looked at a crowd of people around a signup sheet and Jason whistled.

"Capture the flag!" He yelled. "Gods, I hope there are some good spots left."

"We do capture the flag here?" Leo asked.

"Yes," Jason said. "It's tradition to do it every other week. Clarisse will be captain of the red team of course and Annabeth said she wanted to be captain of the blue team. But there are co-captains, trap setters, scouts, foot brigades, the whole thing. We get really into it. It's sort of like paintball."

"Can I be a trap setter?"

"You seem qualified," Jason said.

Leo surged forward and signed up as a trap setter for the blue team. From the looks of it, Piper had signed up as a scout, Annabeth as captain, Hazel as a guard, and Calypso as a part of the foot brigade. All for the blue team.

Jason walked up and studied the positions with calculating eyes. There was still the co-captain spot left so he signed up for that. The kids who had been at the school the longest being double captains.

"Whoo!" Leo said. "Everyone's on the blue team except Frank and Percy. Let's hope they get in."

Jason nodded. "I think Percy could be a short-range attacker and Frank as a long-range attacker."

"I can see why you signed you signed up to be co-captain. You're definitely one of the best men for the job."

Jason smiled. "Thanks. Now let's go see if any of the girls want to come outside with us."

They made their way to the girl's common room and stopped at the entrance. A girl with curly black hair, satiny skin, a gorgeous smile, beautifully done make-up, an off the shoulder top and a nutmeg scent smiled at them. "Well, what do we have here? Hello gorgeous." Leo had a feeling she wasn't talking about him.

"Hi, Drew," Jason said with a blush. "Can you go to Annabeth's room and ask if any of the girls want to go outside with us?"

"Sure, hon," Drew said as she walked back to the dorms. Leo's mouth was agape.

"Oh my gosh. She's gorgeous," Leo said.

Jason laughed. "Welcome to C.B.S.T.T."

Drew came back with Piper. Drew seemed to be slightly ticked off but Piper smiled.

"I'm cool with coming outside," Piper said.

"I can come too," Drew said sweetly. She ruffled her curly hair and Leo had to admit that she was beautiful. He was tempted to invite her along.

"Nope, we're good," Jason said. "Come on Piper, Leo." They all walked away with Drew less than happy.

"She totally has a crush on you," Piper said to Jason.

"Of course she does," Leo said. He knew that Jason was the conventionally attractive all-American boy who always gets the girl. Leo liked to classify himself as the comic relief who ends up getting the girl smarter than him and is fine with that. Sort of like Percy but much less bad boy.

Jason blushed. "No, she doesn't."

"Are all boys this clueless?" Piper asked Leo. But he could tell she was just trying to lighten up the situation. He knew she was annoyed that Drew had hit on Jason.

"Can we just ignore that?" Jason asked. "We can just go outside, have fun, and come back later for dinner."

"Deal," Leo said. He jumped onto the banister and slid down with Jason and Piper sliding down behind him.
