Alright, ya'll! Here's the chapter your scatterbrained author forgot to add! It takes place right after the pool scene and was supposed to be some guy bonding and has no real significance on the plot but whatever.
Frank
Frank was soaked to the bone. Himself, Jason, Percy, and Leo all trudged up the stairs to the boy's dorm with soaking wet shoes and socks. Frank still hadn't met his roommates, but he was about to find put.
"So you guys are my roommates!" Frank said. "What a coincidence!"
"I know, right?" Percy said.
Jason flopped down on the bottom left bunk. Percy started unpacking the suitcase above it and Leo climbed onto the bunk above Frank. There were four dressers, two closets, a bathroom, two cupboards, a table, and a bit of counter space under the counters.
"I really wish we had a microwave," Jason said.
"Why?" Leo asked as he fiddled with a device.
"Last year, Luke bought a microwave for our room and we ate so much microwave popcorn," Jason said.
Frank laughed. "Why not just buy a popcorn maker? I'm pretty sure they're less expensive."
"Does anyone have a phone to look this up?" Percy asked.
"Nope," Leo said. "My foster parents don't trust me enough for that."
"My mom says they're the root of all evil," Percy said. "Plus, Gabe doesn't want me to have one."
"I don't have one either," Frank said.
"We could ask Annabeth," Jason said. "Oh wait. Nevermind. Her's is a flip phone."
Leo shuddered. "Those still exist?"
"Apparently so," Percy said.
"Save yourselves. The flip phone-pocolypse is coming," Frank said while unpacking.
Percy and Jason laughed while Leo threw his device into the air. It sprouted helicopter blades and started to fly. Leo took out a Wii controller and pressed a button. The device came back to him.
"Yes! Thank you, Sunshine!" Leo yelled.
"Why do you call her that anyway?" Jason asked.
"Because I can," Leo said.
"I think you have a crush on her," Jason said.
Percy nodded. "It's kind of obvious, man."
Frank shrugged. "Yeah."
Leo sighed and said, "Maybe. She's really pretty. And smart. And funny. And sarcastic. She just reminds me of someone I guess."
"Oh, by the way. I asked Piper to the school dance this week!" Jason said.
"Congrats!" Frank said.
"Ooooh," Leo said.
"There's a school dance?" Percy asked. "Like, soon?"
"This Friday. Why?" Jason asked.
Percy groaned. "Yay. School dance. So excited."
Frank had almost finished unpacking. His clothes were in the drawer, his alarm clock was on the dresser, and all of his other stuff was in his trunk under the bed. He didn't want his stuff to take up to much space.
"You taking anyone, Percy?" Jason asked.
"No. I don't know anyone," Percy said.
"You know Hazel, Annabeth, and Calypso," Frank added.
"Hazel has a boyfriend and Leo has claimed Calypso," Percy said.
"I did not "claim" her!" Leo protested.
"Then take Annabeth," Frank said.
"I barely know Annabeth!" Percy said.
"Then get to know her at the dance," Leo said.
Percy threw a pillow at him and Leo laughed. He threw it right back. Leo opened up his metal suitcase and Frank watched as he pulled out screws and wires, and sheets of metal, and bolts, and washers and every tool you would ever need.
"Even if I wanted to take her, which I don't, Jason would kill me," Percy joked.
"I would not kill you. Just tell you not to hurt her or I'll punch you," Jason said. "I would be fine if you wanted to take her."
"Frank, are you going to take anyone?" Leo asked.
"No. I don't know anyone really," Frank said. He had never been good at talking to girls. Or dancing. Or being social. He was happy that Hazel had invited him to her group though. She and Nico were really fun to hang out with. And he felt he was getting to know everyone a little bit better.
"Idea!" Percy said. "We all go as friends and see what happens."
Leo clapped. "Give this man a reward."
Jason laughed. "Great idea."
"Yes!" Frank said. "Now I won't have to muster up the courage to ask a girl to go!"
Percy and Leo laughed at that. They were a group of pitiful bachelors and they were fine with that. They were friends! And that was all you needed, right?
