Love Struck Delusion

Chapter 194 - Talk to me.

Zeta's POV.

Hecan left and before I knew it my eyes shifted to the only person that mattered. Raptor stood there almost motionless for a second before moving away from the table. The three of which included Cody and my sister all grew concerned as he didn't say a word. As it became clear he was leaving I muttered through concerned lips.

"Where are you going? Raptor?"

Pepper proceeded to approach me as he just neared the hallway once again. As she reached out for me we all panicked as Raptor slammed his whole fist through a nearby glass painting. I felt myself jump along with my sister as she shouted.

"Jesus Christ!" The whole thing shattered and fell to the ground and with my ears down in stunned silence I widened my eyes to see a shard of glass caught in his middle knuckle. Blood quickly came down his fingers and with one more display of power Raptor kicked the already broken painting into the bottom of the wood wall. He god damn near took a chunk out of the log itself before continuing down the hallway. Before he left our sight you could see him tear out the shard and toss it to the opposite side of the hall. Once gone Cody looked back at us fixing his hat and asking.

"Should I go after?"

I was at a loss for what to do. I couldn't begin to know the pain he was in. Even Cody grew worried as it was clear I had no idea what to say. Taking action however my sister replied to the guy.

"Yeah go make sure he doesn't do anything stuipd, but be careful."

"Roger that." Cody replied as he began to jog off after him. Left with just her now I felt her attention clamp up as she asked me.

"What do you want to do about him? You know shit isn't going to just play out nice now. We gotta do something Zeta."

Nodding I replied while collecting myself from the ordeal.

"Right now we just need to let him breathe. He needs time to think and I don't want to bring back up the subject. Not yet."

Pepper didn't seem to agree and once Cody couldn't be heard anymore I stated to her.

"Fuck that isn't right."

"Don't have to tell me sis. Cody needs to be careful. I'm worried that painting isn't the last thing to get broken."

"Shit." I hissed as I had a feeling she may be right and began to walk my way after them. Pepper quickly followed along as things seemed to be escalating.

Cody's POV.

Raptor was leaving a trail of blood as I chased after. Fucking guy destroyed his hand doing that and I knew he was a god and what have you but shit that isn't a pretty cut he took and it didn't seem like he cared about fixing the damage. As I continued to follow the trail of blood, I soon found myself at a side door to the lodge. Running out and into the snow, I found Raptor pacing over to set of smaller trees under the lodge's main garden. Place was beautiful none the less but Raptor had other plans in mind when he sent one of the planters off a nearby bench and shattering across the ground using nothing but his bare hands. I was lost for words as he just punched it into pieces. Hell even a few of the nearby GenSec guards were stunned by the shear power displayed, but this wasn't a good thing. He was pissed and for good fucking reason.

"Commander!" I shouted to try and get his attention as I neared the broken pot.

Stepping over the pieces, I widened my eyes when he turned to swing at me. Raising my arm to prevent the blow from nailing me in the head. I panicked as he just settled for shoving me with all he had not even a moment after I managed to block his attack. Due to the power I had to use to defend myself, I was caught completely off guard by the push and fell right back and over the broken pot landing right on my ass as he screamed.

"Leave me alone!"

Stepping back Raptor looked away the second he heard from one of the GenSec guards who was watching from the sidelines.

"What's going on over there!?"

Raptor was in a frenzy and without thinking he shouted at the armed guard in almost a feral voice.

"You want to find out!? Come on then! Come here!"

Almost scared the guard looked to me as Raptor began to march over his way. Knowing the issue was about to get more serious I begged him while scrambling to my feet.

"Wait Raptor don't!"

By the time I got moving it was a little too late. The guard raised his rifle and pointed it right at him ordering in fear.

"Stop it! Don't you fucking get any closer!"

Raptor was already feet away by that time and so was I as he asked in response.

"You gonna shoot me!? Huh!?"

The guard couldn't pull the trigger. Raptor wasn't one bit scared by the threat and without any concern for his safety he tore the gun out of his hands and sent it to the snow feet away. Then followed up by smashing the man in the side of the head with a downward drop of his elbow. By this point I was at his back and I came in from behind to try and restrain his arms from doing further harm. By going under his arms I managed to get a good hold, but almost instantly he shook me off with a huge drop of his torso. The power of the move sent me cleanly over his shoulder and smack down onto the already injured guard who struggled to regain any composure.

"You want to fight!?" Raptor asked me as my hat fell off my head and into the snow.

I couldn't even respond before he clocked me with a hook. I felt my jaw snap out of place when it hit and unaware of just how crazy his hitting power was, I fell right back down and into the snow. It was at that point we heard from the lodge.

"Stop Raptor!"

Zeta and Pepper were in full pursuit and without thinking Raptor turned to face them just in time for Zeta to be only a few meters away. Reaching up to grab my jaw, I watched in concern as he swung on the girls. But he was driven by rage and his attacks weren't focused. Zeta ducked under just in time to tackle him by the waist. Pepper on the other hand followed them down into the snow and using all she had she attempted to restrain his arms. Raptor could be heard screaming in anger as Zeta ordered.

"Stop! Raptor please just stop!"

With his arms pinned back Zeta and Pepper forced him onto his stomach and with his face pressed down he began to cry out into the snow.

"It's not fair!"

Begging at this point Zeta shouted.

"I know but this isn't going to help! Calm down!"

At this point I reached back for my hat and listened as he cried.

"He killed them! He….! He fucking killed my famly! Zeta! He….!"

I caught Zeta's eyes as she struggled to keep him down. Almost out of fear she ordered me.

"Help!"

Nodding my head quickly, I got on top of his back and turned on my venom in an effort to keep him restrained. As this happened my eyes crossed the with Pepper's who was doing the same thing.

"It's not right! Ehehehehe!" Raptor was using all he had at this point and in shear shock he was nearly getting free from the three of us. But as his rage neared its end so did his strength. We all felt his body loosen up and his muscles just stopped. Blood was leaving my mouth in a small line down my chin when Pepper and I decided enough was enough and we reverted back to normal. From there on out he just cried face deep in the snow. My gaze then shifted back to Zeta who was also tearing up. Hell I felt my heart caving in as well. Just listening to his emotion was enough.

"It's not right!" He cried out.

That's the one thing he was right about. This wasn't right and who could blame him? I thought to myself as soon we just decided to watch him cry.

Vacus's POV.

"Everyone is to stay in their homes! Curfew is in effect! Anyone caught outside during this time will be handled with extreme prejudice!"

Looking out my window I watched as a rebellion officer walked the streets yelling that same line over and over with a megaphone. After some time he was down the street and troops were moving through the area clearing the streets to be sure no one was disobeying.

All I could do from here was walk away from the window and head back to my spot in the living room of my small two bedroom apartment. Everything was so cold these last few days. Between watching people die to rebellion rifles and obeying Archer's so called laws made living almost not worth it. You couldn't even travel across the city anymore. Not without informing one of his district outposts he's set up in the dead center of what he claims is the made major travel points per sector. If you are curious there are six different sectors he's claimed around the city by this point. The first one being the area around the capital itself and in fact his most guarded. Speaking of which that brings me to his guards. This wasn't just a rebellion ran city anymore. There were new soldiers among them. Basking uniforms that I was unfamiliar with. Rumor has it they are men from a PMC outside the middle east. I don't know how they came to be but they made up nearly half of the army now. Things were bad. Really bad and without Incus here to help me I was at a loss for what to do. I couldn't speak. My world shattered remembering the moment she died. All I could do was keep crying as the rebellion officer soon left my ears and the street went quiet.

What was left? The Commander was gone and for all I knew not coming back. No one knew what was going on. There were still people fighting Archer's rule but it was pointless. The attacks were nothing more than people yelling at them. It was a joke. Nothing was getting done and more people were just dying because of it. The fucked up part about the whole thing was we all knew this would happen. Talking wasn't going to settle anything. Not here and not under the rule of a dictator. The only thing that was going to make anything better was to kill Archer and no one was going to get close at this rate.

Looking to my small kitchen I stared at my knife. It's the only thing I managed to leave the capital with before I was thrown out.

As my eyes just couldn't focus on anything else I questioned my next move. My life is pointless now. I couldn't do anything. I couldn't lead and I sure as shit couldn't just sit here and keep crying. Archer took everything I had and without it I just wanted to die. Or at the very least kill him or die trying. At least I would be doing something. Living like this isn't worth it.

Standing back up I made my way into the kitchen to face the blade. For a second I asked myself if this was what I really wanted. Is this what Incus would want? Then things went dark and without a care I found myself with the knife in my hand and my intent set on Archer. I didn't know where to go or what to do to get this started, but honestly I didn't care. I wasn't expecting to live after leaving this room. Maybe that's what I really wanted. Just to get shot and cry myself to sleep.

Nodding my head I looked towards my door and walked out into the hallway of the apartment block. No one was there as I locked my door and made one last step towards what would surely be my end. Troops were out there. Somewhere.

Walking down a small set of stone stairs, I stopped at the front door and used it to look out onto the street. My eyes watched as maybe four soldiers were walking very slowly down the west end of the street. They were all rebellion and faces I swear I knew. Opening the door I stepped outside with my knife under my shirt to lock eyes with one of them who was instantly questioned from meters away.

"Lieutenant Vacus?"

Then the rest of them stopped to smile. Weapons down as I slowly took a step back inside my apartment. Sensing I was rethinking my actions the guy who spotted me nodded his head as one of them stated.

"Always had your eyes on her right Lucus?"

Giving me this nasty smile he replied.

"Oh yeah. Didn't know she lived here. Hey Lieutenant!? Wait up! I just wana talk to you!"

Stepping back inside I listened as the man from before shouted in excitement.

"Go say hi Lucus! Maybe she'll show you a good time! Haha!"

Listening close as the sounds of his boots neared the door, I reached down and grabbed my knife. Then while turning into my doorway he smiled and stated.

"You know the rules Vacus. Shouldn't be stepping outside at this hour. Gotta discipline ya. So how about it?"

With the knife covered by my sleeve, I backed up into the base of the stairs as he entered. With his rifle down at his side I stood there motionless as he whispered.

"Always wanted to feel those whiskers. Come on now. Don't play coy. Not like you can scream."

Reaching out for my hair I snapped myself forward into his chest. His eyes widened and his whole body jumped in place as my knife sent itself right into the side of his neck. Using all I had I drove him onto the floor and watched as the light began to leave his eyes. After maybe a second I looked back up to remember his buddies who had to be close. Snatching his rifle up from the ground and leaving my knife in his neck. I spun back out the door to aim right at the small group that was now maybe ten feet away. Each of them panicked as they soon realized what was happening but by then it was too late. All I felt was anger as I unloaded the rifle into their bodies. The sound screamed through the streets and once the clip ran dry I let out a breath to look at what I had just done. Two of the soldiers I killed but the third was still alive. Bullets in his upper torso and legs. Tears filling his eyes as his pain filled screams began to fill the road. Looking up to me as blood left his mouth he begged.

"Stop it! Aghhhhhhh! You fucking shot me! Ahhhhhh! You fucking bitch!"

WIth my heart pounding I looked back into my apartment to quickly steal back my knife. The kid outside was still screaming as I took what ammo his friend had. Two clips for the rifle. One of which got reloaded and the other I stowed in my pocket. Quickly running back outside I aimed at the bleeding out rebellion soldier and pulled the trigger as he begged me one last time not to hurt him.

"Please! BANG!"

His head bounced off the ground and from there I looked back up to see reinforcements coming from further down the street. Deciding right now to run, I turned back around and ran into the nearest alley. All I could do from there was pray for an exit which came to me as a sewer grate. Using all I had I pulled up the grate and climbed inside. Using a small ladder to balance myself, I dragged the grate back over the hole and dropped down into the sewer. My eyes couldn't leave the entrance as I took a second to breathe. My heart was ramping up to an all time high as soon I looked back down at the weapons in my hands. Putting the knife back under my shirt and taking control over the rifle, I let out one more deep breath and looked to my sides to see two directions to go. At this point it didn't matter. I just wanted to leave the area. So heading to my left I followed the stream and the whole time didn't question my actions. I set myself on this path. But what was the end goal? As the scent of death covered my nose I figured out the answer.

Archer. I was going to make him pay. Or die trying. This is for you Incus. It always was.

mT Shadow.
