Alrighty, so there is a long author's note. I apologize for the chapter being updated so late but the power was out for the last two days.
Dear Guest Reviewers,
Look. I want to respond to ya'lls questions. I love you and want to have the best experience possible while reading my story. But if I can't PM you, then I have to reply to your reviews in this little author's note section which I know some readers find annoying. So here's my compromise.
If it is important for all of the readers to know, then I'll answer it up on here. If it's a question like, "When will this happen?" or "When will you include this?" I'm not gonna answer it up here. But if it's like, "this part was confusing, plz explain," then I'll do that.
I love all of you so so much and I want everyone to be happy and safe during these practically apocalyptic times.
With so much love that my heart could burst,
Absolute Theater Trash, A.K.A. the author and supreme god of this story.
P.S. I love our dead gay son, Nico, too and I promise he will be more in the story very soon!
Frank
Percy, Annabeth, and Grover were already sitting at the table, chatting up a storm. They wave everyone over and started excitedly exclaiming about how cool Mr. Quinn was and how much fun they had in his class.
"We had Ms. Lupa," Jason said as he sat down. "She was nice."
"Very strict and a little mean," Leo said as he pulled out Festus and started to take stuff out of his tool belt to tinker with it.
"Why do you fix like your running out of time?" Calypso sang/asked. She looked around at everyone's confused faces. "Piper you should know this! Hamilton?"
"It was a long time ago and I don't remember a lot of it," Piper said defensively. "I'm not a huge musicals fan, though I appreciate that Taylor Louderman's "World Burn" is absolutely amazing."
"Speak English please!" Percy piped up.
Annabeth laughed. "They are, Seaweed Brain. It's not their fault you don't understand Broadway."
"This is kind of random," Frank said sheepishly, "but I want to know where all of you guys come from."
"Manhatten and proud!" Percy yelled. Everyone laughed.
"I'm from here too," Calypso said.
"L.A. right here!" Piper said happily.
"New Orleans," Hazel said.
"New York," Grover said.
"California," Jason said. "And kind of New York."
"Virginia," Annabeth said sullenly. Frank could tell they had reached a touchy subject so he averted his eyes from her furious gray ones.
"Housten, baby!" Leo yelled.
"What about you, Frank?" Hazel asked kindly. She had really pretty eyes, Frank noted.
"Canada," he said. "Land of Snow, funny accents, and Anne of Green Gables."
"I love that book," Annabeth said with a wistful sigh.
"You would, Wise Girl," Percy said teasingly.
"You got something to say, Seaweed Brain?" she said with a raised eyebrow.
Annabeth knocked him with her shoulder and he knocked her right back. Soon, a battle had begun between the two of them, seeing who could knock the other off of their chair.
"They're an odd pair, don't you think?" Frank whispered to Hazel.
"Definitely," she said. "But it's kind of adorable. And they're both extremely compatible."
Frank had to agree with her.
Out of everyone, Hazel was the one Frank liked the most. She was interesting and polite and reminded him of his mom. Absolute kindness and sunshine with some fierceness and intensity hidden behind all of that. It was a refreshing change of pace to all of the kids who pretended to be cold and mean but were actually absolute marshmallows of human beings. Nico, that one's for you, angsty little McDonalds obsessed angel, you!
"Alright stop flirting you two," Nico said as he passed by with Will walking closely next to him.
"Di Angelo, I swear to the gods-" Annabeth muttered. Both of their cheeks were flaming absolutely red. Piper and Jason seemed to be enjoying the show and Leo kept muttering, "Classic, classic."
"I apologize for Nico over here," Will said politely with a shiny grin. He seemed to radiate sunshine. "He doesn't know when to quit."
"I'll quit hanging around you, Solace," Nico muttered. His cheeks were now as red as Annabeth and Percy's.
"You wouldn't dare!" Will said with a theatrical gasp.
"Too much cuteness!" Piper said, pretending to gag. "There are Percy and Annabeth over there and now Sunshine and Angsty. Absolutely adorable."
"Piper, why?" Nico asked, growing a little flustered. "Just, why?" Nico and Will moved on to wherever they were spending free period. Both had a slight flush to their cheeks.
Frank shot Hazel a look and she just shrugged and shook her head a little. There was a smile on her face though and her gold eyes sparkled playfully. She looked really pretty when she smiled.
Woah, where did that thought come from? She has a boyfriend, idiot! And even if she didn't, she could do so much better than you. Why even bother? Frank tried to get the thought of her smile and gorgeous eyes out of his head. His goal was to blend in and survive at this school. Despite his new friends making that a little bit difficult for him.
"Alright, is everyone done with their food?" Annabeth asked. Frank could tell she was trying to salvage the last shred of her dignity, though Piper and Leo's huge grin were making that a little difficult.
Everyone affirmed that they were done with lunch and started squabbling over where to go for their free period, of which they only had twenty minutes left.
Eventually, Percy, Jason, Piper, and Grover agreed to go outside, leaving Frank, Hazel, Annabeth, Calypso, and Leo to go to the library and look around. Annabeth assured them that the library was absolutely amazing and Frank was eager to see it for himself.
