Hey, my lovely lovely readers! I'm sorry I didn't update yesterday but I had to babysit my baby brother. And since we're in the green zone over here in my state so my chapters might sometimes be shorter. In other news, I'm taking a creative writing class online and I am so excited! So perhaps the quality of chapters will increase, who knows?

And finally, I'm going to be answering reviews now so here we go!

123Thomas321: Thank you! Here is the next chapter for you.

adjoawilson11: Thank you so much

lemontarto: Love your username and I love Sophie Foster

Abby-E-Potter: This is at best, silver. But thank you.

Piper

Two weeks later, Piper officially had a crush on Jason. He was just so, amazing. And she wasn't one to be completely boy crazy. In fact, she scorned any girl who dared let a man define her. That impulse reaction made her struggled with her feelings. Not gonna lie, Piper was almost the definition of an "I'm Not Like Other Girls," archetype in the lost hero and it made me really mad. She's better now which is great but she was really toxic to her cabin mates before.

But she couldn't deny that he gave her butterflies in her stomach and the feeling that she was truly something special to him. When they danced, it was like the world didn't matter anymore. All that mattered was him and her and it felt surprisingly empowering. Nothing like she expected from media and books. It didn't make her feel weak or girly or helpless. It made her feel strong.

"Ten Minutes Ago is clearly the superior love duet," Calypso argued.

"Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran together? Oh gods, no contest," Annabeth said.

Piper laughed at their argument. The two of them were arguing over whether "Ten Minutes Ago," or "Everything Has Changed," was the superior love duet. After she had listened to both of them, Piper still preferred "Everything Has Changed," but Hazel was all for, "Ten Minutes Ago."

"Ten Minutes Ago is so beautiful and their voices are so ethereal," Hazel said with a sigh and a smile.

"Everything Has Changed has amazing lyrics and acoustic guitar," Piper argued.

Calypso and Annabeth kept going back and forth and back and forth with Piper and Hazel chiming in randomly. Piper was reminded of a sign in the room of her friend's parent's bedroom. "My favorite love song is ours." It was a cute sign and Piper remembered liking it when she saw it.

Kayla walked into their room. "Hey, Piper? Jason's asking for you," she said with a giggle. Hazel, Annabeth, and Calypso stopped arguing for a moment to look between Piper and Kayla and start saying "ooooooooh!"

Hazel grinned and started humming, "Jason and Piper sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G."

"He is?" Piper asked.

"Piper, go right now we can finish this argument without you," Annabeth said with an encouraging nod.

Piper grinned and jumped down from her bunk bed and started walking to the door to the common room where Jason stood talking to Drew Tanaka. He looked up, saw Piper walking towards him and his face broke into a smile. He waved her over.

"Sorry Drew, Piper's here, got to go," Jason said.

Piper walked up to Jason and they both started walking into the common room together.

"Come with me, I'm heading to the roof," Jason said. The two of them started walking to the window where Jason and Piper would climb through to get to the porch roof, also known as the thinking spot of the one and only Jason Grace.

Together they both climbed out of the window. Jason dropped down first because he had been jumping down to his thinking spot for years and had the most experience. Then, when Piper jumped down, Jason grabbed her hand to steady her.

"Thanks," Piper said. He gently let go of her hand as they sat down but she found herself wishing he kept holding on.

"No problem," Jason said. And then, from out of his pocket, he pulled out a pair of glasses with black frames and put them on his face. "I got glasses!"

Piper laughed. "Oh my gosh. You look so distinguished."

"Like a blonde Clark Kent?" Jason asked with a grin, referring to their first conversation on the roof.

On an impulse, she adjusted his glasses a little. "A very distinguished blonde Clark Kent."

They both laughed a little and Piper adjusted herself so she was sitting on the roof a little more safely. The drop was rather huge so it would probably be fatal or at least very damaging if any of them fell. She scooted a little closer to Jason and the window.

"Don't worry," Jason said, noticing her safety adjustments. "I've been coming here for years and haven't fallen yet."

"That doesn't comfort me that much," Piper muttered. "If I fall, you're catching me."

"On my honor," Jason said with a twinkle in his eye.

They both laughed again and suddenly it got quiet. Piper could see a faint blush come into Jason's cheek. He coughed and said, "I guess I'll just spit it out."

"What?" Piper asked.

"Well, I was sort of kind of wondering if you would maybe want to go on a date with me this Friday?" Jason asked, growing increasingly nervous.

Piper felt her cheeks growing hot and without thinking too much about it, she quickly said, "I'd love to!"

"Great!" Jason said with a grin. "Um, what do you want to do?"

"We could get some food and just walk around? I've never been truly walking in New York and I'd like to do that," Piper said.

"That sounds awesome," Jason said.

The two of them both smiled, blushed, and started to climb through the window back into the school.
