Chapter 205 - Catching a shoulder.
Zeta's POV.
I watched from the front door as Raptor was next door with this woman. I had no clue who she was but I could put two and two together and get four. So I had a feeling it was something personal for him. He looked like he was crying. I wanted to go over there and help him but the human was doing a good enough job as I watched them separate for a moment to talk. As I watched, I heard from behind me.
"Make yourself even more obvious."
Looking back for a second, I found Pepper coming over. Unlike me she was fully dressed and ready to go. She stepped out a foot to look for herself, then came back inside to grab me by the hand.
"Come on. Stop staring and let him do his thing. He'll be back in a minute. You heard Cody."
I couldn't help but stare on; as Pepper suddenly let out this sigh. She was losing her ability to wait and I was caught completely off guard as she changed her tone and the next sentence out of her mouth was.
"You're boyfriend isn't going to get stolen."
Instantly I widened my eyes and turned my head completely back around. I was partly shocked she even said that, but on the other hand I was mad she did. Lifting up her mask to look at me face to face, she muttered through a happy voice.
"Oh that got your attention."
Stepping back inside the house, I questioned her with some anger.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
Getting defensive she replied.
"Don't get so worked up. You act like I'm not supposed to know what's going on with you. You don't hide it well. It's clear as fucking day you're getting jealous."
Now I got in her face.
"Excuse me!?"
Chuckling she replied back.
"Jealous. That thing you do when you feel like someone is trying to move in on your property? Don't act like you're not Zeta."
"You have no idea what's going on between us!"
Shaking her hand off me, I told her directly as Cody came walking down the stairs as if everything was alright.
"You have no clue what's going on!"
The fox stopped on the step he was on to ask carefully as Pepper was just smiling.
"Should I go back up?"
"Yes!" I replied as he nodded and turned around to get heading back up.
Pepper laughed as it was clear to me she wasn't worried about this in the slightest. After her laughter died down she begged me.
"Chill the fuck out. I already know. I asked him last night while you were asleep. He came clean."
All my anger left at that moment and I was just left there stumped by what she said. In confusion I questioned.
"What? He told you?"
Nodding she replied.
"Yeah. So relax. I'm not mad or anything. I think you're being a little stuipd but I'm not upset about it."
"What did he tell you?" I then asked. This time I was being dead serious with my questioning. Pepper sensed that and just turned around. I widened my eyes as she began to walk off for the living room. Getting my anger back I shouted.
"Where are you going!?"
I followed her in seconds and once she reached the couch she sat down and I got right in front of her. She again began to chuckle as I asked again, but this time leaning in to face her.
"What did he tell you?"
Bringing up her hand and tapping me on the nose she replied.
"He just said you two had a thing for one another, but it wasn't nothing serious right now with all this going on."
I remained silent and just gave her a glare. Slowly and with some snark she asked me whisper tight.
"But you've been on his dick once or twice, huh? Or has it been three or four times?"
Widening my eyes as she asked, Pepper just began to laugh under her breath as she waited for anything to leave my mouth. I was stunned and unable to come up with a proper answer as she soon wondered.
"How was it? Can a hedgehog get you off nowadays? I remember when it took a bear to make you squirt."
I lost it with that and leaped forward tackling her into the couch. Pepper began to laugh harder as I did my best to strangle her. The whole time she was begging me.
"Chill! Chill! Chill! I'm kidding!"
Pinning her down on her back and forcing her hands together, I ordered her with a growl.
"Shut your mouth!"
"Oh your so defensive. It has to be true. Come on Zeta just tell me. Did you play nice like a good puppy or were you the one in charge?"
Now my growl began to turn violent as she whispered.
"Your so easy to get riled up."
"I said to shut up Pepper!" I again ordered her but this time I leaned in to show her my teeth in hopes she would back down. But giving me this wicked glare she asked.
"What's wrong? Gonna kiss me?"
I couldn't keep this up with her. Keeping her pinned down, I let out a sigh and did my best to relax. She remained there just smiling as I whispered.
"You're such a bitch. Leave my sex life out of this."
"Was it good?" She asked back but she kept her voice down as Cody came back down the stairs to ask.
"Can I come down?"
"One minute more!" I replied as he nodded and went back up. Pepper quickly stated.
"Poor guy just wants to join in on the fun."
"Shut it." I urged her as she laughed and asked.
"Sooooo?"
With a small smile coming to my face I replied.
"It was good. Now can you….?"
Leaning up Pepper connected her lips to mine. I was startled for a second but soon kissed back. It was nothing special. Just a normal but deep kiss that lasted maybe three seconds. During which I released her arms and just focused on what I was doing. Once done we parted lips and I stared into her eyes as she moved my hair out of my face to smile and asked.
"Can I what?"
Sitting up straight over her hips, I replied while still trying to recover my emotions.
"Can you just…..fuck off?"
Slowly we began to laugh and after a moment or two more; Cody came back down the stairs for the third time. This time he reached the bottom and I was already dismounting my sister who fixed her mask. Together we relaxed as the small fox entered the room to wonder.
"We all good?"
Smiling I replied.
"Yeah we're good. Sorry for that."
"It's all good Zeta. You okay Pep?" He then asked as my other half now had her mask down and proceeded to the front door. Before reaching it she replied.
"I'm good. Just waiting on the old man."
She took a look outside and as she did she jumped back with Raptor who came walking by. As he passed her; she asked him.
"How about you? You okay?"
Raptor nodded his head once and we watched as he went right for the basement without saying a word. Once out of our sights and the door closed, did I ask Cody to be sure.
"Was he okay when you were with him? What happened?"
Taking off his hat and placing it down on his lap, he replied while kicking up his feet to the coffee table.
"Yeah he seemed good. Guy fucking blows my mind every time I'm with him, but we went to the news station downtown and he got himself an interview. I don't know how, but he said everything went smooth and he wanted to be here for when it aired."
"It's airing soon?" Pepper then asked as she came over to sit down next to me.
Nodding Cody replied.
"Yeah at some point. He didn't give me a time, but he said today."
Looking at my sister, I gave her this smile and replied back to the fox without looking at him.
"Well I'm gonna go see what's what."
"You go do that." She urged me with a chuckle as Cody seemed to have quickly forgotten about us and went on to play with something he took out from his pocket. As I walked over to the basement, I heard Pepper ask.
"What the hell is that? That music is gonna give me a headache Irish."
"Ahhhh just don't listen?" He replied as I laughed and opened the door. Taking my time, I descended the stairs and as I soon reached the bottom; I found Raptor sitting on the couch with his eyes closed. He looked like he was sleeping almost. Giving him this smile I asked.
"You okay?"
I got nothing back. Not even a facial change at that. He was perfectly still and in my opinion trying to ignore me. Well I don't know if that's the intention but it sure felt like it as I was standing maybe two feet to his right.
"Hello?" I then said as I snapped my fingers in front of his face. I still got nothing and this time I turned my smile into this frown and I planned to get his attention now more than anything else. Looking to the other side of the room to see all his guns my sister mentioned, I nodded my head and looked back to the hedgehog to ask.
"You know now is a perfect time to tell you that I'm secretly working for Archer…...and now that you seem to be in this state of silence; it turns out now is the perfect time to kill you. Make all this madness stop. How's that sound?"
Raptor remained the same. He wasn't even going to play along? I figured saying something like that would for sure get his attention. Letting out this sigh, I reached behind my back and pulled out my custom PKM handgun. Small enough to keep concealed at all times and just perfect for this. Raising the gun to point at his stomach, I asked him.
"So can I just do it?"
Again he gave me nothing, so I pointed the gun at his head. The safety was on of course but not like he was to know. The second I lined up the barrel to his head I widened my eyes as he kept just being silent. It was honestly starting to trigger me. I crave reactions and he was doing nothing!
"Okay than." I muttered next as I undid the safety. The second I heard the clicking of it turn off, I widened my eyes as he slowly opened his to look up at me. I just smiled as he questioned.
"Wouldn't this be a fucked up way to go?"
Keeping the gun on his head, I chuckled and replied.
"It would certainly be."
Giving me this smile back; he told me without caring about the weapon still being pointed at his skull.
"I just need a few minutes to relax. I used a lot of energy out there with Irish."
Lowering my gun, I put it back behind my back as he then asked.
"What do you want?"
Fixing my shirt, I replied while reaching out to feel the top of his head.
"I wanted to see what was going on with you. You've been hiding ever since we got here and I don't know but you seem a little distant. What's wrong?"
Raptor began to breathe calmly to himself as I scratched the top of his head. Not giving me an answer in due time I decided to add on.
"And you went against my better judgement and told Pepper about the little thing we have going on."
Now the hedgehog looked back at me to reply.
"She's…...she's difficult to talk to Zeta. It was kinda hard to avoid once she approached me with the subject."
"See now that's what I gotta ask you next."
"Hmm?" He mumbled as I took my time moving. Gently pushing him back against the couch, Raptor with stable eyes watched as I leveled myself with him and mounted right on top of his lap. My legs wrapped around his sides and my hands went to his chest as I whispered.
"What did she do? I know her too well to think she just asked nicely."
Our lips were basically touching, we were so close to one another. With his hands going around my hips he replied carefully.
"She…...she made a move."
"Oh?" I wondered playfully as I began to feel for his neck with my right set of claws. Looking me right in the eyes he replied.
"Nothing happened Zeta. I told her to back off."
I was genuinely surprised now. Tickling his neck I continued to whisper.
"Is that so? What did she do?"
"Same thing you are now." He replied as I then asked while adjusting myself closer to his crotch.
"Did she try to kiss you?"
Raptor began to disconnect his eyes and with that I knew the answer so I just followed up by asking.
"Did you kiss back?"
"Yeah." He replied as I went silent. Little to his knowledge I was just continuing to smile. After maybe a second or two he added to his last statement.
"It was nothing. She made the move and apologized for it. That happened the first night."
Biting my tongue I then asked to be sure.
"So she made two moves?"
Raptor nodded and replied.
"This morning while you were in the shower. She came down here and…..?"
"And did this?" I asked playfully as I leaned in to bite his neck softly. Raptor instantly let out a deep sigh. I knew I was getting to him as he questioned.
"Why do both of you do that?"
Laughing I replied while keeping him close.
"Cause we're both animals baby. We're wolves. We tend to enjoy eating the food we play with. We're a tribe, we hunt together, we're family. We share."
I could tell he was still defensive even though I clearly wasn't upset cause he stated directly into my face.
"Nothing happened Zeta. I swear to you. We kissed a little but I told her to stop and I apologized. It wasn't personal, me not doing anything I mean. I didn't want to give her the wrong idea. I was…?" Giving him a deep kiss to get him to shut up, I slowly pulled away to whisper.
"You were being loyal."
Our eyes were staring at one another as he just nodded once. With the door opening upstairs; I watched as his eyes went from me to the stairs. Keeping myself mounted, I told him as he began to shake.
"It means the world to me that you did that."
"Zeta?" He questioned as I urged him with another nip to his neck.
"Stop moving. You're fine."
"That's not the point!" He replied back now panicked that I kept him in place. As time passed with my teeth lodged in his side, I listened with closed eyes and a happy heart as I heard from the bottom of the stairs.
"So what do you think Zeta?"
