-VELOX THE KNIGHT O7

DRABBLE 1: AN EVERLASTING FRIENDSHIP BEGUN

The sun was setting on the horizon. The breeze was light, still noticable to a 5-year-old brunette who was joyfully playing with her beloved rainbow ball.

Suddenly, her ball rolled towards the jungle gym and stopped under it. She ran and picked it up.

The brunette was about to turn away but she suddenly heard a hummimg sound, as if someone was singing slowly. She looked up at the top of jungle gym to find a blue-haired boy, around her age, slowly humming a tune.

His eyes were closed and face was turned upwards, towards the sky. He gently opened his brown eyes, staring intently at the open sky.

"HEY!" the brunette yelled to him.

No response.

"Hey Blue-Haired!" She yelled again.

He looked down at her and did not give any greeting. But the girl ignored his ill-manners and began a conversation, or at least tried to do so.

"What'cha searching in the sky?" she asked with an adorably cute expression.

He kept on staring blankly at her. After sometime, he diverted his gaze to the sky again.

"Why don't you come and see yourself?" he said not looking at her.

The girl gave an angry pout but started climbing afterall.

When she reached the top, she sat down close beside him and unlike him, stared at the setting sun in front.

"Girls are not weak." She said to no one in particular with a smile on a face.

"I never said so." The boy said looking at her with a confused expression.

The brunette just chuckled in response.

"So, what are you searching in the sky?" she asked again.

"I was talking to my mom..." he said staring in the sky.

"Your mom?" the girl asked puzzled by the answer.

The boy stared blankly at her for a few moments before diverting his gaze towards the sky. He pointed towards the sky, at a glowing star. "She lives there, on that star."

"That star? Doesn't she live with you?" she asked perplexed.

"No. She died when I was four months old." He said looking down as a tear rolled down his rosy cheecks.

"I-I am sorry..." The brunette managed to speak.

"No!" he said wiping his tears away "Don't be... I-It's not your fault..."

They sat in silence before the brunette spoke again. "So... You were talking to her?"

"Yeah..."

"But I heard you humming. Was that a song?" she asked a little excitedly.

"It was a lullaby my mom used to sing for me. You... want to hear?" he said shyly as his cheeks turned red.

"Of course! Why not?" She said looking at him expectantly.

"Okay... I'm not that good singer but... I will try." he said.

"That was amazing!" the girl exclaimed joyfully.

The boy took a deep and started singing

Wherever you are, Wherever you'll be,

I will always hear you across the sea,

Because we will always be family...

No matter the distance,

No matter what instance,

I want you to know,

That you'll never sing alone...

"Really? Thanks... No one has ever complimented me. Neither have I sang in front of someone before..." he said shyly.

"What? Why not?" she asked confused.

"The outer world seems so... unfamilier..." he said looking down.

"Then why did you sing in front of me?"

"Because... you seemed a... Family... as if I already know you..." he said looking at his toes.

"What did you say to your mom today?" she asked eagerly.

"I told her that I did not make any friends today also..."

And what was supposed to be a consoling smile turned out to be a huge laughter by the little girl.

"Why are you laughing?" he asked hurt by her actions.

"B-Because... Y-You are so silly!" she said still laughing "You made a friend today, Idiot!"

"What? Who?" He asked having no clue that the person was right in front of him.

"ME!" she yelled.

"But I barely know you." he retorted.

"Oh!" the girl said slapping her forehead "My fault. I always forget to introduce myself. I am Hilary."

"I am Tyson." he said as they both shook hands and an ever lasting friendship begun.

"You know what Tyson?" she asked as the boy looked at her "You and I, will always be friends. BEST FRIENDS! Agree?" she asked extending her pinkie.

"We will. Agreed." he said as they both locked their pinkie fingers.

It was already dark by the time and they decided to leave the park.

As they parted their ways, a thought struck Tyson. He ran back the other way towards Hilary yelling her name. She turned around and was shocked when Tyson roughly grabbed her wrist and started running, dragging her along.

"What are you doing Tyson?!" she asked trying to be free from his grip.

"I want you to meet someone. Please come with me." he said and Hilary obeyed, much to her own surprise.

They were now standing in front of a big wooden house.

"So... This is your house?" she asked amused by the vast size.

"Nope!" he said.

"Then whose is it?" she asked growing annoyed.

"My grandpa's!" the boy said joyfully, laughing at his joke.

"Very funny!" Hilary said sarcastically.

As they moved towards the house, Hilary heard a funny voice from inside."Hey H-dawg! You completed your homework?!"

"A little more time gramps!" Another voice answered to the old man.

They slowly went inside, not making any sound but the old man's keen ears sensed their presence.

"Hey T-dawg!" he yelled coming towards the entrance "Why are you so late?!"

He then noticed that his grandson wasn't alone. A cute yet shy girl was standing behind him, trying to hide.

"Who is this little angel?" grandpa asked Tyson.

"She's my friend! My Best Friend! We met in the park today! Her name's Hilary!" Tyson yelled jumping up and down with joy.

"Hey dear!" grandpa said to the little girl who was still standing behind him. "So... you are Tyson's friend?"

"No! She's not my friend! She's my best friend!" Tyson yelled with joy.

Grandpa Granger smiled at the young child. 'Finally, He is happy..."

"Don't be afraid dear." he said to Hilary "I am Tyson's grandpa."

The girl came to the old man, who was now kneeling down.

"Tyson's grandpa? Then what will I call you?" She asked confused.

The man chuckled at the girl's cuteness and innocence.

"You are Tyson's best friend. So, you too can call me grandpa!"

A bright smile plastered on her face on hearing this. "That's great, Grandpa!"

Just then Tyson grabbed her wrist and started pulling her inside his house.

"Come here Hils!" he yelled "You still have to meet my elder brother!"

He pulled her inside a neat room where a certain light-blue-haired was studying seriously.

"H-I-R-O!" Tyson spelt his brother's name in a sing-song tone.

"What is it Tyson?" he asked not taking his eyes off the book "I told you not to disturb me while I am studying."

"Brother! Look!" he yelled.

Hiro sighed and looked towards his brother.

"This is Hilary. My Best Friend!" He exclaimed with joy.

"Hey. I am Tyson's elder brother, Hiro." he said simply with a smile.

The girl chuckled and said, "Hi! I am Hilary!"

"Hey Hils!" Tyson said "Let's go in my room. I have lots of toys to play with!"

"No Tyson!" Grandpa said entering the room "It's dark. Hilary has to go home."

"Yes. Grandpa's right. I have to go Tyson." Hilary said while Tyson's face fell.

"But... Promise me that you will meet me in the park tomorrow..." Tyson said.

"I promise!" Hilary exclaimed as Tyson smiled.

That's it! Hope it was okay and if it was please review!
