DRABBLE 2

It was 4 in the evening. Cool breezes were blowing around the wooden dojo.

"Gramps!" Tyson whined "When will I go out to play? Hils might be waiting for me."

"No Tyson. It's just 4. You'll go after 30 minutes or so." Grandpa said peeling garlic for the dinner.

"But Hils promised me. It will be unfair, if I got late." he said with a pout.

"Come on Tyson. You can go after some time. Go and clean your room first." His elder brother commanded entering the kitchen.

"Huh! Okay I will..." Said Tyson, slumping off the dining chair and going into his room.

"I'm glad he's happy now." Grandpa said to his elder grandson.

"Yeah. He's always been bullied by his agemates. Finally, he got a real friend." Hiro said smiling.

After 10 minutes...

"Done! I've cleaned my room gramps! Can I go now?!" Tyson asked jumping up and down with excitement.

"Already? You usually take an hour to do so." grandpa said amused by the sudden change in his grandson.

Hiro chuckled. "It might be because he is so excited. Let him go gramps."

"Uh... okay you can go T-dawg. But come home before sunset. Okay?" grandpa asked as tyson's smile widened.

"I WILL! I WILL!" Tyson yelled with excitement as he sprinted out of the house.

It was 5:30 in evening. Ryu Granger was waiting for his grandson to show up. Suddenly, the main door opened. He rushed towards the door and treated his grandson cheerfully.

"Hey T-dawg?! You had fun?" he asked and then saw that Tyson's expression was far more different than fun.

"Tyson? What happened dear?" he asked kneeling down in front of his grandson. Tyson's eyes filled with tears and soon he burst out into cries.

"Tyson? What happened?" his grandpa asked rubbing Tyson's back as he cradled him.

"H-Hil... she... She did not...c-come to play..." he cried even louder.

"Oh... It's okay T-dawg. She might be busy. She will surely come tomorrow." Grandpa said soothing his child.

"Y-You sure?" Tyson asked sobbing.

"Yes. I am sure T-homie."

It has been four days since that incident. Everyday, Tyson goes in the park, waits for Hilary to come, and returns home sobbing.

It was 10 in the morning. Tyson and his elder brother, Hiro were out on the roads of Bakuten.

"Brother! Where are we going?" Tyson asked holding his brother's little finger.

"In the park little bro." he answered. Grandpa was worried about Tyson's usual upset nature after he visits the park in evening. So, he asked Hiro to take him to the park in the morning.

When they reached the park, they saw many toddlers playing on the swings and others making mud cakes in the sand pit.

"Go on little brother." Hiro said looking at Tyson "Go and play. Look there are many children of your age."

But Tyson's expression wasn't one of joy. A single tear rolled down his eyes as he mumbled, "But Hilary is not here."

Now Hiro was feeling pity for his brother. He kneeled down and said, "Tyson. She might be busy. You should not affect your health for her. Go and play now. I'm sure you'll make a new friend today."

"Okay." he said dully and started walking towards the children.

As he was walking, he suddenly spotted a brunette playing in the mud pit. His face bloomed into a beautiful smile as he yelled "HILARY!"

He ran towards her and called her name again. The girl turned towards him and he realized that she wasn't her.

"Hilary? I am Zane not Hilary. Who're you?" she asked.

"Nevermind." Tyson said and started walking away sadly.

He sat on the bench near his brother with a sad face. Hiro thought not to pressurize him for anything.

Suddenly, both the brothers heard someone yelling, "TYSON!" He at once realized the voice and looked around to see the one he'd been waiting for since last five days.

"HILARY!" he exclaimed and ran in the brunette's direction, a beautiful smile plastered on his face.

"Tyson!" Hilary said as they both stood in front of each other.

Tyson lowered his gaze towards the ground. "I-I missed you." he whispered.

"I'm sorry Tyson. I was out to visit my grandma." Hilary said apologetically "Please... forgive me."

Tyson looked at her and smiled widely. "It's okay Hils. But promise that you will never leave me again."

"I promise Tys."

"So, Let's go and play now!" Tyson yelled grabbing Hilary's wrist.

That's it! I know it is short but I had only this in mind for now.

Hilary: Hey Tys? Looks like you liked me since we were five?

Tyson:*blushing furiously* What? No, I didn't!

Cheena: Shut up you two. Let the readers themselves decide it!
