(Arceus's PoV, The Sanctuary)
Arceus looked into the night sky, using his powers to sense and search for his student this night.
He had been very watchful of his student ever since the book was stolen, pushing his powers to watch his student's every move until he was certain no more 'interruptions' would occur in his journey.
Yet just now, he observed quite possibly the hardest battle his Jacob had ever had.
(A difficult challenge indeed…) He whispered softly as he stopped watching for tonight, feeling he was safe for now. (To face one's teacher, knowing you are condemning them to the end of their existence.)
=Chapter 47, Passing the Gauntlet=
(Jacob's PoV, Mt. Pyre Chamber)
Jacob was only able to watch as Emerald wept on the floor, mourning for the loss of her last Pokemon, her mighty Blaziken. He knew he should not be feeling sorry for her, for this is what she and her team wanted, do be defeated in battle and pass on. But even though his team had fulfilled their wish, he still could not help but feel sorry for her.
She had done all she could to cling to her existence as a Trainer, she and her team threw everything they had against him and his team. But in the end, they were bested.
(Jacob… we must speak to her…) Sara whispered quietly.
He nodded and with his entire team behind him, approached the still sobbing Emerald. "Uh, miss Emerald?" He asked quietly.
She paused in her sobs to look up at him, and he could tell that even though she was saddened greatly, she was just as happy that her Blaziken had passed on. "What is it Trainer?" She asked him through a hiccup. "Why do you linger here… your task is done… there is no more reason for you to be here?"
"But your still here Emerald." He said. "Why are you still here?"
He had assumed that once he had defeated Emerald and her team, they would all pass on, as she had kept telling him. But so far only her Pokemon had passed on.
She sighed and looked at her hands. "I am not yet ready to pass on with them… I still have one final task to complete." She whispered quietly. "You see… when I passed away, I took with me a secret… a secret that I swore to protect from all but those I consider worthy of it…"
"Funny, I was looking around for you for that very same reason!" A cynical voice declared loudly.
=Encounter with Team Aqua/Magma Leader theme=
Jacob and his team turned around to look behind them to see Viridian walking toward them, with his eyes focused solely on Emerald.
Instantly all of Jacob's Pokemon became defensive and stepped in front of him, forming a living shield of muscle, scales, teeth, claws, talons and flames. Yet it was Emerald who had stepped in front of all of them, looking determinedly as she faced Viridian.
"Why are you here, what do you seek in this place?" Emerald asked.
"I just told you, you have a secret that I want." Viridian said with a smirk as he stopped some distance from them. "Here I am, searching this entire mountain graveyard, looking for one tombstone out of thousands. Yet the one place I never considered looking, was in the collapsed section near the top level. And when I finally reach this floor, what do I find? The boy that has been a nuisance to me and my organization since day one, and of course… a dead girl who has long since vanished from Pokemon League records for over fifty years." He stared at Emerald with a frown now. "Emerald, a mystery that has hounded many a people for decades, you vanished from sight over fifty years ago. You left without a trace, without telling others where you were going or what you were doing. So this is where you've been hiding?"
"Leave this place Trainer, you are not welcomed here!" Emerald said angrily. "There is nothing left for you here! This Trainer has already earned the right to the stone."
"Telling me what to do, how amusing." He said as he pulled a device from behind his back, and placed it in front of his eyes. "I must admit, you are very amusing telling me what to do. But as amusing as this situation is, I have work to do and time is of the essence. Now tell me what I need to know, the secret that you've been keeping for all these years."
"I will not tell one who has not earned the right to it!" She said, taking a daring step forward.
Viridian put the device around his neck to hang while he reached for a Pokeball. "And you have no right to deny me the information when you are no longer worthy of your status." He said. "Now… how about you tell me what I want to know, before I shatter what little delusions you have about yourself."
"Leave Emerald alone, she doesn't want to share anything with you!" Jacob said. "Why don't you tell 'us' what it is your up to. Why are you making Shadow Pokemon, what's the purpose in making them? Why are you killing innocent Pokemon and kidnapping them from people?"
"Boy… you are but a child to be asking such thoughts." He said, not looking at him. "Why do humans do 'anything' with Pokemon… to gain power, prestige, riches, whatever it is they want over their fellow humans. Why do 'you' do anything with your Pokemon, because you want to become more powerful, more knowledgeable, to gain more notoriety over your fellow Trainers? Surely you don't do it for simple 'charity'."
Viridian tossed his Pokeball lightly into the air, and released the Galvantula from before, its eyes still glowing purple as it hissed furiously at them.
Jacob was about to order Ivan to get in front of Emerald but she held up her hand to make him stop. "No Trainer, this is my fight… I may not have my team anymore but I will not surrender my knowledge without a fight!" She declared.
"I'll only ask one final time… tell me your secret… Emerald." He said.
"Never, you are not worthy of it!" Emerald shouted furiously, before she took a run at him and his Galvantula, pulling her arm back to punch him.
In response Viridian's Galvantula glared and released a powerful electrical discharge, aimed directly at Emerald.
"AAAAARGHHHH!" She screamed in pain as her body was wracked with electricity.
"Emerald!" Jacob yelled as Sara heard his thoughts and tried to use her psychic powers to pull her away.
(Jacob… I can't pull her!) She said in confusion as her powers wrapped around Emerald's body, but failed to touch her. (It's like… something is blocking me!)
"You foolish boy… you've been talking to a lie." Viridian said as Emerald collapsed to the floor, still screaming in pain as her body was wracked by electricity. "You really think Emerald is before us? Do you honestly believe that she and her team were 'spirits' that only you and your team could see because of a stupid Keystone? Did you truly believe the wounds you suffered, the injuries you endured, the damage done to this place, were done by hers and your Pokemon?"
As they all watched Emerald's body began to waver slightly, before it vanished, taking the appearance of a Mismagius.
In particular, Missy the Mismagius.
Then Virdian had his Galvantula stop attacking.
"Missy?" He asked in confusion.
"Sceptile?" Harold asked. "Missy the Mismagius?"
(How is that possible?) Latias asked.
Missy looked up at him, before shaking her head and casting her illusion again, reappearing as Emerald with her mask. "Not Missy, Missy is but a host… a vessel, the only way I can exist in this form!" She said quickly. "The ghost Pokemon of this mountain did all they could to preserve my mind along with my team, and they did so by binding us all to one of their own. But one body cannot be host to so many different minds without suffering severe side effects."
(Her insanity, her mind began to lose itself, trying to keep you and your team intact.) Sara concluded for them all. (She kept seven distinct individual minds, thoughts, and identities within her mind alongside her own. For a psychic type, bringing another's mind into our own minds and preserving the two separately is possible, but only for a short time without suffering terribly damaging side effects.) She glanced at Jacob with a sad frown. (But to keep so many minds alongside her own, for over fifty years… it is no wonder she said they suffered degradation to their memories. But Missy suffered most of all.)
"So that's how she kept appearing, why she always led us to Emerald, why whenever we encountered one we would meet the other, but never both!" Jacob said. "Missy would lead us around in a chase, before leading us to Emerald, but we never actually saw the two together!"
"Yes, yes, this is all very informative but really now, I am rather pressed for time." Viridian said coldly. "Emerald, be a dear, and do one thing right in your existence, tell me what I want to know."
"Never… if you wish to learn the information then you must battle me for it!" She said as she stood back up.
"Battle, what could you possibly have to battle with?" Viridian chuckled.
"I still have… one final Pokemon… but it's not mine by choice, but by necessity." She declared. "Banette!"
As Jacob and his team watched a shadow appeared before Emerald, before forming into the Pokemon he had seen earlier with Emerald before he approached her. "Baneeeeeeette…" It said greedily.
"So you still had 'one' left?" Viridian asked. "So be it, but one 'untrained', 'unbonded', 'untested' Pokemon is no match for my stage three Shadow Pokemon." He declared as his Galvantula took several steps forward, snapping its mandibles and crackling electricity. "Isn't it magnificent, very loyal, incredibly dangerous, and powerful beyond normal Pokemon? It will never stop fighting, never stop attacking, and even if it were tired beyond imagination it will fight to the last until its opponent is nothing before it!"
"Such power is not true power, it is twisted, and will only twist the one who wields it!" Emerald preached. "Banette, Shadow Claw!"
"Banette!" Her Banette cried before leaping forward as shadowy claws extended.
"Galvantula, Electro Web!" Viridian yelled.
"Galvaaaaaaaaaa!" Galvantula screeched as it shot out an electrical web at Banette, wrapping it up and causing it to slow down as well as take damage from the attack.
"Ban… ette!" Banette moaned painfully as it tried to keep going, but the violent electrical shock caused it to stop mid charge.
"Galvantula, Discharge!" Viridian ordered next.
"Galvaantulaaaaaa!" Galvantula screeched now, before sending an even more violent charge of electricity at the Banette.
"Banette, Shadow Sneak!" Emerald ordered, and Banette vanished into the ground, becoming shadow as it avoided the attack.
Yet as Banette tried to appear behind Galvantula, it jumped to avoid the attack, and turned around to send a violent charge of electricity at it.
"Baneeeeeeette…" Banette moaned as it tried to stand up, but the Galvantula continued to attack the downed Pokemon.
Jacob had enough, seeing Banette fighting valiantly to protect Emerald, her last line of defense against passing on in serious pain and unable to fight back was the last straw for him. Beside him Sara was in full agreement, and he could hear the snarls and feel the glares coming from his tired but determined team seeing the desperate battle taking place before them.
"Ivan, Thunder Fang!"
"Grar!" Ivan barked as he jumped forward, electricity crackling through his mouth.
The Galvantula responded almost the instant Jacob gave him the order, and sent a massive jolt of electricity at Ivan. Unlike with Emerald's Raichu, the electricity from the Galvantula was enhanced with ferocity and uncontrollable rage. Ivan took the electricity and tried to endure it, but the attack was just too much for him, and he simply fell to the ground in a heap.
"Ivan!" Jacob yelled out in fear.
"Interrupting another Trainer's battle, what happened to that 'trainer honor'?" Viridian asked calmly, even as Ivan shook violently while trying to get up.
(You are one to talk about Trainer Honor!) Latias snarled as she flew in front of Jacob. (Showing no mercy for one who is in no position to fight back, attacking mercilessly when your opponent means no harm, endangering an innocent human's life without any care? Where's the honor in that?)
"Galvantula, Electro Web!" Viridian declared.
"Galvaaaa!" Galvantula snarled as it shot another electric blast at Latias, who was forced to take the hit because if she didn't it would have hit Jacob.
(Ahhhh!) She screamed in pain as she tried to stay levitating, but collapsed to the floor, her body crackling with electricity and clearly paralyzed.
"Latias!" Jacob said as he tried to get close to his Pokemon, but the electrical shocks continued to emanate from them, shocking his direction whenever he tried to get close.
(Jacob, call them back into their balls quickly!) Sara said. (That Galvantula's electricity is at its maximum voltage, at those levels its almost fatal!)
"Right… Latias, Ivan, return!" He yelled as he took their Pokeballs and recalled them into them.
Moments later the Galvantula snapped and screamed angrily at him, as if furious that he had taken away its prey. "Oh my, you seem to have made it mad!" Viridian said with a chuckle. "Well, far be it from me to stop my 'pet'."
The Galvantula snarled and sent a violent Discharge attack at Jacob next, but before anyone could react, Coral slid in front and took the shock.
"Miloooooooooo!" Coral screamed in agony as she absorbed the attack.
"Coral!" He yelled as the attack ended, and Coral lay on the floor, her serpentine body bearing electrical burns and twitching violently. "Return Coral!"
He recalled his Milotic into her Pokeball.
"Where is your sense of pride?" Emerald yelled as she walked in front of Jacob and his remaining Pokemon, her Banette floating in front as well, still grinning despite the pain it was in. "Attacking a Trainer with your Pokemon, what kind of Trainer are you? That is the unspoken, unified truth that all Trainers abide by, we do not harm the trainers of the Pokemon who battle for us!"
"True… but you're not really a 'trainer' are you?" He asked with a smirk. "So 'you're' fair game."
The Galvantula screeched and sent yet another discharge of electricity, this time aiming at Emerald and Banette. Both absorbed the attack and screamed in pain, but it was Emerald's cry that captured everyone as her body twitched in agony. While she screamed in pain, the image that 'was' Emerald wavered and faded every few seconds, revealing the pained and crying form of Missy the Mismagius.
The Ghost Pokemon was grimacing in pain, but continued to concentrate and reform the image of Emerald. Even under attack Missy refused to let Emerald fade away without a struggle.
"Who's the Trainer now?" Viridian called out as Missy's image of Emerald continued to scream and cry out in pain. "Are you sure you don't want to tell me what I want to know? I promise you I'll leave you alone if you just tell me!"
"Ne…ver… I will… not… tell!" Emerald cried out in a voice of mixed pain and fury, as well as a voice that sounded part human and part Pokemon. "Your… not… worthy… not worthy… not worthy!"
"Leave Emerald alone!" Jacob yelled. "Roran, Brave Bird!"
"Swellooow!" Roran screamed in a voice full of rage, before flying high up and engulfing his body in a bright light, before soaring straight at the Galvantula.
"Galvantula, Electro Web!" Viridian called out in boredom.
Instantly the electric spider shot an electric web at Roran, and the powerful shock overpowered Roran's most powerful attack. His speed and angle sent him spiraling into the floor, his attack stopped and lying in a heap while his body crackled with electricity, fully paralyzed and twitching. Even his feathers were a mess, some of them were burned off or pitch black from the electrical burns.
"Roran return!" Jacob called out quickly, recalling his flyer into the safety of his Pokeball.
"Sceptile!" Harold cried as he leapt forward, brandishing his leaf blades and snarling in warning at the Galvantula.
"So your little starter got taller and stronger, but he's still no match for a Shadow Pokemon." Viridian called out calmly before releasing another Pokeball, this time a Houndoom.
"Hoooooooou!" The Houndoom howled before glaring at them, with the same dark look in its eyes and tiny tongues of flame coming from its nostrils.
"Two… against one?" Emerald moaned in disgust even as she tried to stand. "Where… is the… honor… in such a fight? You are not… even worthy… to be 'called' a trainer… let alone the knowledge you seek from me!"
"Who cares about honor, when victory is all that matters?" Viridian countered with his smug expression.
Jacob looked at Harold as he stood before them all, he had faced off against a Houndoom before, but that was a completely different scenario. Sure they had mastered their bond, and they were obviously far stronger than their first encounter with Viridian. But he was still devastating his team one by one, so far all of them had been brought down by the Shadow Pokemon, and now he had two of them against Harold.
"Pfftb!" Kenna neighed as she took a nervous step forward to stand next to Harold.
"Well, a 'Shiny' Ponyta… how fortunate for you." Viridian said with a chuckle. "Not everyone has the chance to have a Shiny for their own. But judging by its stance, you clearly haven't trained it for battle. Let me guess, it's just for 'show' right?"
Kenna neighed angrily and, opened her mouth to let loose a ball of fire that was her Ember attack. Unfortunately, it got about three feet before it died out, and Viridian only smiled and chuckled.
"Just for show." He said. "A weak and pathetic Pokemon, for a weak and pathetic 'Trainer'."
"SceptiiiiiiiiiiLE!" Harold screamed angrily before charging at the two Shadow Pokemon.
(Harold's PoV)
Harold wasn't thinking clearly, but his bond was just as strong as it ever was, even stronger as he heard the insult to his Trainer. He was willing to wait until Jacob gave him instructions, but the instant that 'man' insulted Jacob, was the last straw for him.
He charged forward, and ignored the electrical discharge from the Galvantula, before striking at it with his Dual Chop.
"Houdoom, Flame Charge!" Viridian ordered.
"Rarw!" The Houndoom screamed before running at him behind him, its entire body engulfed in flames.
However, he felt Jacob's power, his energy, the power that came from his bond flowing through him, and he easily jumped to avoid the attack. But while he was in the air he could not dodge the attack the Galvantula threw at him, and he had to use every ounce of his fiber to endure the strike.
The electrical burns were like nothing he had felt before, he had been burned many times, he had been hit with electricity before, but not even the shock from the Mega Manetric was like this. It was like being stung by a million, no a trillion tiny volts of electricity, all of which shocked him a hundred times over.
"Sceptiiiiiiile!" He screamed in pain as he landed on his clawed hands and feet, trying to endure the attack.
Without warning the Houndoom turned around and slammed into him, and now he had burns from flames as well as electrical burns added to his body, as the Galvantula continued to send electricity at him, refusing to end it like the Jolteon did when they first encountered Viridian. All he could do as he slid to a stop was curl up into a ball and simply endure and wait for the pain to end.
Then he felt the attack end and felt a pair of hands holding him, he looked up to see Jacob holding him and looking over his burns.
*Jacob… even when you're in so much danger… you never stop caring about our health…* He thought happily as he blacked out. *I'm so glad… you wanted me… as your starter…*
(Jacob's PoV)
"Harold, wake up Harold!" Jacob yelled as Harold's eyes closed.
He felt his arm and felt his pulse, he was still alive, but his breathing was slow and lethargic. He had to get him looked after. "Return for now buddy…" He whispered as he called him back into the safety of his Pokeball.
He stood up to stare at Viridian, next to him Kenna neighed fearfully as she inched closer to him. On his other side Sara glared angrily as she readied her psychic powers for battle.
"Running out of Pokemon, aren't you?" He asked calmly. "So what's next, you're going to send the 'showpiece' against me?"
(Jacob… I have two things I want to make clear.) Sara declared psychically to all of them. (First of all… I am honored to have become your Pokemon partner, alongside Harold and the others. To me, you are a shining example of what a Trainer can be…) She glanced back at him with a warm smile. (That is why I ask you to never change who you are, even if you are old and grey by human standards, remain the same caring Trainer that I met when I was a scared and starving Ralts. Your gentle mind was the only thing that gave me a glimmer of hope, and even now with it full of fear and worry about us, it still gives me strength and calms my own fears.)
"Are you done?" Viridian said in a bored tone. "This battle is over no matter what you do. You have yet to even stop 'one' of my Pokemon, let alone the rest I have in reserve."
At that Sara glared angrily at Viridian.
(As for the second thing I wish to make clear, you are the most repulsive human being I have ever had the misfortune, to have ever had the disgrace to even 'touch' your mind!) She said in disgust. (Your mind is tainted by your greed, tainted by your ambition, your desire to become stronger, I never imagined I would ever feel a mind burning so much that it would hurt me. But you have proven me wrong… and I will not let you get away with the crimes against my fellow Pokemon! You will answer for them today, or tomorrow, I do not know how but you WILL answer for them!)
"Amusing, but don't talk when you can't walk." He said, before his two Pokemon lunged at her.
Or at least, he 'thought' they were going for her, but while the Galvantula jumped at her, crackling with electricity, the Houndoom charged at him and Kenna.
Jacob was about to scream, even as Kenna jumped in front of him to act as a wall to keep him safe, but a psychic barrier suddenly appeared in front of him, causing the Houndoom to bounce backward and land on its feet. He glanced over at Sara, and was shocked to see her gown-like dress was shifting around on its own accord. Her hands were outstretched, one pointing at him and the other at the Galvantula, which he noticed had also been knocked back by a psychic barrier.
But most important of all, he saw that her eyes were glowing pure white, and even the air around him was crackling with psychic energy.
"You fool!" Emerald moaned as she slumped away. "You, inconsiderate fool!"
"What are you on about you ghost!" Viridian yelled out angrily.
"You are an idiot…" She whispered again. "You let your Pokemon's feral instincts rule their actions, without any thought for possible outcomes! You've attacked… a Gardevoir's Trainer… in its presence!"
Thinking quickly, Jacob pulled out his Pokedex and looked up the information on Gardevoirs.
[Gardevoir has the ability to read the future. If it senses impending danger to its Trainer, this Pokémon is said to unleash its psychokinetic energy at full power. All attempts to endanger a Gardevoir's trainer should be avoided at 'all' costs, as it is recorded to unleash its most powerful abilities in this manner. It is capable of creating a black hole, to absorb whatever threatens its Trainer as a last resort!]
Jacob looked up at Sara as she looked down at him, before she waved her arms and hands in a circular motion. Instantly he was wrapped in a bubble of psychokinetic energy, next to him Kenna was as well, and seconds later Sara was wrapped in a bubble as well.
"Take him away… I will be fine!" Emerald moaned as she stepped forward.
Sara nodded, and before he could stop her, they all vanished in a flash of white. He looked around and saw that they were outside of the mountain, looking up at the starry night sky.
"Hey!" A voice called out to him. "About time you showed up!" Karen yelled enthusiastically while she and her team were chowing down on what looked like a very late dinner.
(Viridian's PoV)
Viridian walked over to the ghost of Emerald as the Banette lay curled on the floor, twitching in pain.
"Well, now that it's just the two of us." He said quietly. "The information… give it to me."
Emerald however, even behind her mask, smiled and chuckled. "You are not worthy of it…" She said. "You will 'never' be worthy of it… not as long as you do not see the Trainer that you 'used' to be…"
He frowned at her and simply nodded at his Galvantula. "I just wiped the floor with your 'opponent' from before, and you say I'm not 'worthy'?"
She shook her head, still smiling. "You used power that was not yours, you used ferocity that came not from your bond, you are not worthy so long as you cling to these ideals that you use now!" Then as she sighed she fell backward and landed on the floor. "I will not share… the secret… with one… who is not… worthy…"
Then she began to close her eyes and fade 'into' the floor, before she vanished from sight, next to her the Banette opened its eyes, grinned at him before becoming a shapeless shadow and vanishing as well.
Viridian stared at the spot where Emerald had vanished, before he yelled in anger. "CURSE YOU EMERALD!"
(Jacob's PoV, fifteen minutes later)
After explaining everything that happened, he Karen and Segan packed up their makeshift camp and quickly fled to the other side of the mountain, making sure to look out for Viridian. Once they were sufficiently sure they were safe, he brought out his team and began treating their injuries.
Fortunately, most of their injuries were simply burns and paralysis, and with his friends help he managed to mend most of the more critical wounds, but they agreed that in order to be sure they were all okay a professional was needed.
"Okay, first stop is to..." He began saying, but was interrupted as he heard heavy breathing.
"Look!" Karen said, pointing behind a line of bushes.
They all saw Emerald and her Banette walking forward, with Banette using its powers to keep her standing. At least until they reached her and then she collapsed onto the floor, breathing very hard.
"Emerald!" Jacob yelled as Sara moved with him and the others over to her.
"This is… this is mystery girl?" Karen asked quietly as Segan checked her pulse.
"I can't find a pulse…" Segan whispered quietly.
"It's cause… she's not really human anymore." Jacob said.
They all looked at him before a weak voice spoke up. "He speaks truth… young trainers…" Emerald whispered.
They all looked back to her and saw her smiling up at them.
"Trainer… Jacob… please… come closer, I have little time…" She whispered. "I have… one final duty… before I can finally leave… lean closer so I may give you the secret… the knowledge I trust you now with…"
He looked at Sara who nodded in agreement, and he leaned closer so she could whisper into his ears.
"With Jewel bright and borrowed might from the spirits of the departed, through sacred rite, in thy great sight, my life as well I offer…" She gasped and he leaned closer. "I summon thee … to aid… this fight… and save us… from disaster!" She gasped one more time before whispering even weaker into his ears. "Realize them… upon this world…! For this do I summon thee!"
With that she leaned back and said at long last. "Remember these words… should you ever… feel the need… speak of them to none, and never share it with others… this is the secret… I trust to you." She looked up and stared past him. "What's that… what is… that I see?"
He looked behind him and saw nothing but the night sky.
"Its… the Pokemon League!" Emerald whispered happily. "Look Blaziken… we're nearly there!" She gasped happily and excitedly.
"Is it just me or is she losing her head?" Karen asked.
"No… she's passing on." Jacob said as her feet began to glow.
"We're almost there Blaziken… just a little further!" She said as her arm weakly reached out to stretch before her, reaching for something. "How about… we rest at the Pokemon Center… get ourselves some more potions… before we… tackle the Elite Four… and then… the Champion!" She said even more weakly as her legs began to glow, vanishing into a cascade of lights. "Yea… just a short rest… then we can… challenge them… just a little more… almost there… just… a… little… more…"
Her torso began vanishing, then her arms, and finally her smiling face and last her mask.
As she vanished, Missy appeared, with her eyes closed. But moments later her eyes snapped opened and she looked around in confusion. Then she floated upward and looked around in confusion. (Helloooooooo?) She called out. (Come out come out wherever you are?)
She floated over to a tree, then a rock, then to a bush, before looking at them as if just noticing they were there. "Missy?" Jacob asked.
(Missy… Missy is alone…) She whispered sadly. (The voices in my head that weren't Missy's own… are gone… Missy has no friends anymore…)
"Banette…" Banette said with a frown.
"We're sorry Missy… but she asked us to do it, she and her team wanted to pass on." Jacob said to her.
(Missy is not sad, Missy is happy!) She said with a smile. (Missy will miss the voices, but Missy would be sadder knowing they were still in her head! They wanted freedom, but Missy couldn't free them… so Missy is happy!)
(You are welcome Missy, and thank you for enduring what you have suffered… to take so many minds and thoughts into your own. No Pokemon, psychic or ghost, should have to endure what you did.)
Missy however giggled before she looked at them all. (Missy has to get you away, in danger you still are, can do it yes? Yes, I can, can transport you all across water, resume your journey yes? Yes, I can!)
"Are you sure?" Jacob asked, before the Banette tugged at his leg.
"Banette!" It said, before handing him the Megastone around its neck.
"You want me to have it, but don't you need it?"
"Banette?" It said, shrugging its shoulder, clearly saying 'I don't need, so why keep it?'.
"Well we do have to get to the next town and hurry, so why not?" Segan said calmly. "Do you want to come with us Missy?"
(Missy don't want to, Missy belongs here!) She said happily. (Get ready, tingling sensation you'll have!)
Then without any warning, she did a little spin and her eyes glowed.
(Good luck!) She said.
(Missy's PoV)
Missy watched as they all left, and she felt lonely once again. (Missy will miss them…) She said sadly.
"It's alright…" Banette said softly, patting her ghostly back.
(Should we have told them?) She asked sadly.
"Would she have told him?" Banette asked again.
(No… Missy wouldn't know… Missy already misses them…)
Then she floated away, back toward her home, before she realized something. (Missy forgot the pizza!) She said in fear. (Or was it the Drying Pan in case it rains?)
