Chapter Ten
When Castle had called Alexis and Hayley. They were busy in the office with other clients. They will wait to check into the profile of Lawyer Robert Douglas.
Another one of the workers in the back room was searching the Intel on Robert Douglas. As he was able to come up with some rather information on the lawyer with his ties to the political and mafia world.
Hayley having finished talking to the older client with Alexis on the phone with someone else. "What do you have Andrew on the lawyer?"
He looks up to look at Hayley walking over to him. "Come and check this out Hayley. His background shows that the lawyer has some political and mafia ties. Along with five years of being in the marines as a long range sniper. I must say he had a very colorful past I might add."
"I would say so as well Andrew. I don't like the fact that he's going to help with some of his ties with the military. I will need to let Castle and Beckett about this information." Hayley had to say with moving over to the table with using of the office phone.
Richard Castle was finishing up his interview with the reporter Sarah Carter of WNBC. He walked into his dressing room to change back into his jacket and other essentials when his cell-phone was ringing in his coat pocket. It was Hayley Shipton a co-worker at the P. . "Hayley what's up girl?" He will say to rile her up slightly.
"And please don't call me a girl. I am far from it Rick. The reason I am calling is the fact we found the updated profile on the lawyer Robert Douglas."
"Yeah go ahead Hayley let me have all of the juicy details." He said with slight annoyance in his tone of voice.
"Our lawyer Robert Douglas has ties to some of the political world and mafia. Plus he was a marine for a few years with being a long range sniper Rick to be bad news in my eyes." She said with caution to the wind for the most part.
"I am wondering on whether he had any part to killing Rebecca knowing the two brothers having been in the marines as well?' Hayley will make the guess with the question.
"I will speak with Kate later about it at the Loft and see on whether she thinks the same way." Castle will respond.
"By the way how did the interview go with Sarah Carter?" Hayley was curious with asking the question.
"It went well Hayley. She wants to do a follow up in a few months on how the readers like the ending of the story Cat's Eye. I will let you go to leave here to head on home to the Loft." Castle responded to his friend and associate.
"Of course! Business here is booming again with several new clients that we have been speaking with today and the past few days. Good night Rick." She replied over the phone to head back to work with searching for other Intel on the lawyer Robert Douglas.

As for Joey and Jake. They were both bored out of their minds after receiving the payments for their merchandise meeting them at the library without a problem.
Jake was waiting for a phone call from a source of him having given them the order to kill Rebecca Chase. He didn't do this on his own even though his brother Joey thought otherwise.
Having connecting rooms. Jakes phone rang with the cell sitting on the marble coffee table of the hotel room Ramada Inn. He picked up the phone to answer it seeing it was the lawyer Robert Douglas.
"It's about time time you called Mr. Douglas. We were able to finish out your orders with killing the woman. Plus we have your share of the diamonds we turned in to the vendors. When can we meet with your share of $10,000 dollars?"
"I will call you when I can meet Jake. However stay tight until the heat is off for now with the three murders of the women. Understand the orders?"
"Yeah I do Mr. Douglas." He hangs up the phone to asked his brother on whether he wanted to order room service and he agreed with being hungry and bored.
Meanwhile Lawyer Robert Douglas was in his penthouse having a late dinner with his girlfriend Melanie that he met on the cruise. She was flown in with him after she had heard about what had happened. He had found out that the baby that Rebecca was carrying wasn't his at all. Since they had been separated in spite the fact that the mother had no idea what was going on between the both of them.
Robert was drinking a glass of wine after speaking with Jake and his contract filled to take out Rebecca. "Melanie would you like anything else to drink?"
"Champagne would be nice Robert. And besides you need to make it up to me with leaving the cruise to come here." She said with annoyance in her persona and over all her angry demeanor.
"It couldn't be helped at all with being called by Louise Fletcher. She was so blinded to when it came to her daughter's lies for the most part. However I don't wish to discuss it further. Shall we take this to the bedroom and continue on with our vacation." He said with a smile with getting up to help her from the multi colored couch.
"Let's!" She said with grabbing him down below to have him cry out. "Is there anything else you want from me Robert?" She said with a cryptic sound in her voice.
"Nothing else accept yourself Melanie." He will say with pulling her hands into the bedroom and with closing the door to place his hands around her throat choking her with no one to hear her cry out until her body ran out of breath.
He looked down onto her lifeless body with no remorse at all. This woman had been annoying him since flying back to Manhattan...
