I DO NOT OWN NARUTO / NARUTO SHIPPUDEN
Chapter 18
At home, Naruto was currently tinkering with his training of the Five Pronged Seal. The seal itself was created to seal away a persons' individual's chakra, but it had an adverse effect on Jinchuuriki. Instead of sealing away the person's chakra, it cut off any connection to the tailed beast contained within them, chakra and all.
This, amongst other sealing methods, were Naruto's secondary form of training. Gaara would be a difficult opponent and dislocating him from the Sand Spirit seemed like the best course of action. Remembering Tenten's battle against the homicidal boy, Kankuro had informed them that the sand acted unconsciously. Gaara could control it otherwise, though the 'ultimate defence' itself was a massive weak spot.
It was a massive draw on chakra.
That would not be a problem for Naruto, but that was because his seal syphoned of the fox's chakra. It was then tamed by Naruto's own chakra, continually expanding his reserves even without training.
Naruto could use that fact if he were required to play the long game. But his initial plan would be to mark Gaara; then he would be able to pass the sand at will. The whole ordeal would be the first instance in which he would be required to get past the sand.
The blue Kanji lit up on the tips of his fingers, the flames of the corresponding chakra flaring. The symbols visible were; 金 (Metal), 木
(Wood), 水 (Water), 水 (Fire), 土(Earth). Just as quickly as they appeared, they vanished.
They flickered on and off, right now this had two purposes. One, build 'chakra memory' have the body and chakra system become used to moulding the chakra in this form. Two, a chakra control exercise, It actually took a significant amount of concentration to form the seal. More than Naruto would like to admit.
Talking of seals, Naruto had implemented a kinetic impact seal array into the Flying Raijin markers. Basically, the seal would know when the kunai made contact. The vibration caused by the impact would set the seal off.
It was connected to a seal that had been drawn on Naruto's body. It would send a static shock to the back of his neck. This would fire off nerves that were closest to the brain, anytime saved was a victory in Naruto's book.
While it wasn't a nasty jolt, it was always felt and was enough to wake him should he be asleep at that time. Much to Naruto's annoyance, Jiraiya used it as Naruto's alarm.
So when he felt the shock, without hesitation, he flashed to its location.
~ The Kunai's Location ~
"-ind sword is a different story." Wind began to swirl around the Jonin's sword, so before Baki could do what he planned and as a final resort, Hayate bucked his hips.
He bucked once more, this time it had been enough, the three-pronged kunai came loose. Baki, fortunately, did not notice this as his smug grin remained.
He released his Jutsu, the torrent of wind shot towards Hayate, clipping his chest and shoulders.
But for Baki, it was the worst thing that could have happened. Before he could react, Naruto appeared.
The blond dragged his Kenjutsu sensei down, grabbed the kunai, slapped Baki's hand away and vanished.
In the dead of night and the speed of which it happened, Baki felt like he had imagined the second figure.
Seconds passed before it dawned on him. Not only had the person who's intent was intel-gathering gotten away. But, he had gotten away being living proof of the Sand and Sound's plan to destroy the village.
He let loose a shriek of annoyance, knowing that he very well let slip any chance of the invasion remaining hidden, loose.
~ With Naruto and Hayate ~
Both landed right back in Naruto's house, Hayate and Naruto. Hayate's breathing was heavy from fear.
"Wow Hayate-sensei, you certainly find yourself in some stic-" Naruto immediately froze, seeing the state of his superior. The man was riddled with cuts stretching from his shoulders to his hips. The muscles on his arms had been torn open.
He picked up the man, as carefully as possible before leaping out of the window. With every movement, Naruto cursed his forgetfulness with not placing a seal at the hospital.
He burst through the doors, "Help!" he called out, immediately gaining the attention of the lingering nurses. "Doctor! Someone!"
They all turned to the screaming voice, Seeing a mutilated man, being carried by a boy momentarily caught them all off-guard.
"Hurry!"
His pained screech broke them out of their immobility. Three people, all in scrubs sprinted over, the fourth running down the nearby corridor.
"What happened?!"
"He was attacked, cut up badly. Look after him please, I need to see the Hokage."
"Of course."
The male doctor present blinked, and the boy was gone. He didn't care about that, at that current moment, the man in front of him was his main concern.
~ With Hiruzen ~
Hiruzen almost jumped out of his skin when the young boy appeared. "Old man!"
Hiruzen had been peacefully reading his book and enjoying some low strength sake. That had been turned on his head when his grandson-figure appeared centimetres away from him.
"Gahh!" He cried as he fell backwards on his seat.
"Naru-What are you doing here?"
"Come quick!" Naruto said, gripping the man's shoulders.
"Huh? W-wait! What's going on?!"
"Hayate sensei was attacked, Sand ninja!"
The aged Sarutobi had been humouring the boy up until that moment. Thinking it had either been the return of his pranking side or just something he wanted to show him.
"Where?"
It was commanding, the tone of a seasoned leader.
"He's already in the hospital; he's pretty badly beaten up. I'm not sure he's gonna make it."
Hiruzen nodded; he turned to the upper corner of the room. "Tori! Go alert Neko; she'll want to know."
The small gust of wind was the only proof that the hidden ANBU operative left. "Ushi! Raion! We're going back to the tower." He stood up and left to his room.
Returning in a minute, he looked at the young boy. "Can you confirm they were a Sand ninja?"
Naruto shook his head. "No," before continuing. "He was definitely wearing a Sand Chunnin vest though, but it might be a ploy."
"Indeed," Hiruzen was quite proud of the boy's assessment and maturity, even in such a mortifying situation.
"But," Hiruzen leaned in. "I managed to mark him, on his right hand, there is a Flying Raijin marker."
Hiruzen was even further impressed. "So you know where he is? You'll be able to identify who has that seal?"
Naruto nodded.
"Good, in that case, go home, no rush."
Naruto raised his hand, about to protest. But was stopped by the Hokage. "If we can identify the culprit, we needn't rush. Go home, relax, I can imagine your stressed right now, sleep would be the best course of action."
Naruto sighed, he saw the futility in arguing, the old man was as stubborn as an Ox.
"Sure thing, I'm going to see Hayate-sensei first. Maybe see what will happen to him."
The elderly man smiled fondly; Naruto was indeed a kind child. Their philosophies differed, Hiruzen had been hardened by war but had also seen the best of humanity. Naruto could often be quite cut-throat, especially when protecting others, even without the number of hardships the boy already had the mentality of a leader.
Decisions of morality and those in the moment of battle, according to what Kakashi had told him, he was decisive and regularly quite astute.
"Of course, If you manage to, please wish him better, from me as well."
Naruto returned the smile, in a blink he had left.
~ With Naruto
Naruto had flashed to his house, Hayate didn't have a seal on him, and if he did, it wasn't appropriate for him to just appear, likely mid-surgery.
So going to the nearest seal, he followed that by making his way once more to the hospital.
Taking the same route, he arrived at the door once more. Though in the waiting room, there was one more occupant. It didn't take the boy long to identify her; the striking purple hair made sure of that.
'So that's what Yugao looks like,' He mentally answered. She was wearing civilian clothing, standard brown pants, sandals, purple top that matched her hair.
As soon as he neared the door, her head shot up, giving him the most vicious stare he had ever seen. It was one of pure hatred, nothing more, nothing less.
"Ah, hel-" He was cut off as he was knocked off his feet. She had pushed him over; he landed on his rear. Naruto looked up; her expression was only more severe.
"You," She growled out. "You! Where were you? I thought you were supposed to be fast? I guess your only fast enough when you care?" Yugao was beyond furious, she had nowhere or no one to be the centre of her current anger. All she had been told was that Naruto had brought Hayate into the hospital sporting serious injuries.
She knelt down, straddling him. Naruto was confused; he wasn't entirely sure about what was happening bu-
She hit him.
She hit him, hard.
Then, she hit him again, again and again. "Huh?! What have you got to say for yourself?!" In her mind, Naruto was the one at fault; the red tint of hatred distorted her thoughts enough to place the blame on him.
Naruto muttered something through his swollen face. Sadistically amused, she leant down her ear to his lips.
"I-im sor- I'm sorry."
She hit him again.
"You're sorry?! Well, thank God for that! Now your sorry, everything is going to be better, Hayate-kun might survive now. The heavens waited for you to be sorry!" Her sarcasm was as thick as her hatred.
It was a small relief, taking out her hatred on a boy who in her mind had been the one that put Hayate where he is now. Her knuckles bloodied, though it wasn't only her's, Naruto's face had multiple abrasions.
She went to hit him again when someone caught her fist; the smacking sound reverberated around the room. "Yugao, stand down."
She looked up to the angered portion of the copy-cat ninja's face. "Stand down." He repeated.
She shrugged off his grip, "You're no longer my superior Kakashi, stay out of this."
"Superior or not, you made multiple mistakes, with no headband on right now, you're no better than a civilian. Another was that you assaulted a fellow Leaf Genin."
His stare turned murderous, "Finally, you hurt my little brother," Yugao was immediately reminded of his stature. Even without his implanted Sharingan visible, his cold eye was enough to force dread into Yugao. "Friend or not, that's a mistake I won't forgive, and I definitely won't forget."
"W-wait."
Both turned their attention to the paste that was Naruto's face. The beating had been disastrous; if not for the blond hair, one could not recognise him.
"Just w-" He was interrupted by the need to cough, only further reminding Yugao of her boyfriend, the man she loved, who was currently fighting for his life. It only infuriated her more, though she realised the reality when blood splattered on her shirt.
"It's fine, She's right, I was slow, and it cost Hayate-sensei."
Kakashi's eye's lost their steel, he smiled and pulled out his usual orange book. "You are a stunning person Naruto-kun."
Yugao can only agree, horror at her own actions began to seep into her being. Kakashi pretends not to notice but speaks anyway, "Yugao."
She looks up, as a sensory ninja herself she can feel the pace at which Kakashi's chakra is circulating. It was a clear sign that his aloof nature hides a wave of profound anger, anger focused directly on her.
Though nothing came of it, the man just decided to walk away, flippant as ever.
Yugao proceeded to stand up, putting minimal distance between them she spoke over her shoulder. "I think you should leave, Hayate-kun isn't going to wake up anytime soon and I'm not in the best state of mind."
Naruto would have nodded if it didn't feel like a self-righteous Tsunade had just hit him.
Doing as she proposed, he groggily pushed himself up, on his feet; he turned around. "I'm sorry, I'll make sure I'm quick enough next time."
~ Days Later ~
Naruto was back in training ground three; he was currently working on Barrier: Toad Gourd Prison. He'd mastered Ninja Art: Summoning: Bring Down the House Jutsu, after understanding the premise behind displacing the sealing formula it was second nature.
He'd also been training with Gamahiro even more. They'd trained the collaboration Ninjutsu, Toad Oil Bomb to the point where they could easily mould the chakra as was effective in its capabilities.
Boy, was it a destructive Jutsu, but even still they were far from perfecting it.
Otherwise, everything else had been going to plan. Naruto's base speed has improved even further and thoughts of tonight had him giddy.
Even though they had already been intimate, for a near-thirteen-year-old, kissing is intimate, and they had both agreed to the relationship. Naruto was still nervous in asking Anko out on a date.
It wasn't to do with the polyamorist nature. Or that it would appear that someone already in a relationship is on a date with another of the opposite sex. It was just for some inexplicable reason; Naruto was nervous.
It was the same way with Hana and will likely be the same way with every girl. He had freaked out before their first date, and he was doing the same now.
He had remembered that Anko had a large and insatiable appetite. One that had only ever been filled by her love for Dango.
With that in mind, he chose a Kaiseki-ryōri style outing. A traditional multi-course dining style. The restaurant itself was still high class; it was because of standing's like this that Naruto had to make sure that his service wouldn't be refused.
Luckily, this restaurant had a high percentage of ex-shinobi employed as well as owned by a now-retired ninja. Hiruzen recommended this restaurant due to it being held by his younger cousin, Yōkoso Sarutobi.
The owner himself had guaranteed him that his business would be welcomed as much as that of other customers. Usually, such assurances wouldn't be necessary, but all parties were aware due to Naruto's 'reputation'.
He'd, just like last time, booked a separated room. He didn't want interruptions; he wanted the night to go off without a hitch.
~ With Anko ~
"God, we really are falling apart," Kurenai remarks. "Anko too, though you still haven't told me who it is." Kurenai huffs, slightly deflated at what appeared to be a lack of trust.
"It's not anything like your thinking," Anko promises. "It's only because I want to see the look on your face when I tell you and the more I wait, the dumber you look!" The brown-eyed beauty called out, pointing a childish finger at the Genjutsu Mistress.
"God Anko, won't you stand still for a second? He won't like it if the dress is all crinkled." Hana mutters. She had been appropriately fitting the dress to the older female for some time, the material required it.
Kurenai turns a lazy eye to the Inuzuka. "It's even worse that you know, I mean what so different between us?"
"More than you think," Hana cryptically insists.
While Kurenai tries her hardest to decipher her reasoning for that statement, she still comes up empty-handed. "I still don't get it."
"Time Nai-chan, Time. It's a wonderful thing." Anko jests.
Kurenai groans in annoyance, not amused by her friends' behaviour.
Anko feels Hana's hand brush the last of the kinds and folds out of the dress; it looks so smooth that it appeared like velvet to the eyes.
Anko turns to the mirror; the scarily-wide smile reveals she approves of what she sees. She pumped her fist once more. "Cha! Talk about a knockout! His jaw's gonna get a rash from draggin' along the floor."
"God," Kurenai gripes as she buries her face in her hand. "I don't know who'd put up with you. You're so un-lady-like."
"Doesn't matter! He'll be too stunned to care."
"You know he's not like that," Han interjects. "You could've just woken up, and he'll still call you beautiful."
"That's the difference between you and me; I'm still beautiful when I've just woken up!"
This time both Hana and Kurenai groan. Though both could admit, it was good to see their friend in such unbreakable spirits.
"You'll be turning enough heads as is, no need to go and make a show about it, I know he will," Hana whispers the last part though the two older women still hear it.
At this remark, Kurenai lost her patience. "Just tell me who it is!"
"You really want to know?" Anko asks, smirk glued to her face.
"Yes."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." the red-eyed Jonin pleads.
"Well, in that case... Hana-chan didn't really like it when I said it this way but..."
Kurenai feels captivated by her friend; she leans in, much to the amusement of the younger women.
"I'm number two!" She emphasises the statement by holding two fingers up.
"Huh?" Kurenai responds, 'That doesn't answer the question!' Kurenai mentally returns. 'Number two what? and why wouldn't Hana-chan like it... wait...' She realises.
"What the fuck?"
True to her belief, the look on Kurenai's face is one akin to one that's just been hit by a shovel. Doubling over, Anko bursts into fits of laughter, unrestrained laughter.
"I'm unsure as to whether that was a joke or not."
"Dead serious."
"I'm so lost, who's next? Me?"
Smirking, Anko replies, "You never know Nai-chan, Hana-chan and I are older than him. He might have a thing for it, and Asuma is as dull as ever."
"Anko..." Hana bemoans, "Please don't try and play matchmaker for him."
"Indeed, as charming a boy he seems, I don't have anything towards him, great student, yes," She admits with a shrug. "Lifelong partner? Highly unlikely."
"So you admit there's a chance!"
"No," She answered, much to the pouting face of the purple haired-beauty. "While I'm not waiting for him, Asuma is bound to get his act together eventually."
Hana stared at Kurenai incredulously; disbelief racked her features. "I don't even need to comment on how contradictory that statement was just now."
"I know, right! She sounds like an abused girlfriend in denial." Anko adds.
"Seriously," the ebony-haired Jonin pleaded. "I would think that you two would best understand what I'm going through." She didn't need to say that it was because of their relationship with Naruto. She didn't need to.
"Nah Naruto's different, he cares, when we'd spar, he'd unintentionally hold back to not injure me." Anko snorts at her own statement. "I mean seriously, a nine-year-old holding back against a Tokubetsu-Jonin for fear of hurting them, it's ridiculous."
"You make it seem like Asuma doesn't care."
Anko turned severe at that. "No," She spoke meaningfully. "He does that well enough himself, I mean going to the guardian ninja, just as you two were becoming really close. And it was all just to get away from his dad; you see where I'm going with this?"
"No," Kurenai stubbornly returns.
"You don't rank very high for Asuma; If he cared, he could have escaped from his father with you. Moved in with you, god he was twenty! He knew what he was doing!"
Hana couldn't help but agree, she wasn't pushing the Naruto argument but seeing her best friend distract herself with possibilities of her knight in shining armour returning. It was degrading. Kurenai had become what she despised most in the ninja world. Hana huffed amusedly at the realisation.
Both sets of trained eyes were honed in on her, Kurenai feeling the need to be defensive. To her, it felt like they were ganging up on her because they were currently in a relationship with a man they both loved. "What?"
Hana's huff morphed into a chuckle, "You're a fangirl."
That froze Anko and Kurenai in their tracks, Anko had overlooked that fact because of how giddy she currently was. Kurenai, on the other hand, wouldn't believe it, Hana had just insulted her, she refused to take that from anyone, lest her friend. "Just because I'm not in a relationship with the boy I supposedly love, I'm a fangirl? Wishing to be with a man I care about is different."
Both Anko and Hana didn't rise to the older woman's insinuations. They knew that what they felt didn't exactly fall in the norms of a relationship, but when was anything normal? People could breathe fire and were trained to kill from a young age, abnormal was normal.
"God, Hana-chan's right, you are a fangirl. Did you not hear what you just said? Stop deluding yourself Nai-chan!" Kurenai clicked her tongue in annoyance; she had had her fill with this conversation.
"I've clearly overstayed my welcome, asked for help only to be made fun of. I had fun, enjoy your fling, hope he lasts a few more rounds then the last guy you 'loved'."
Kurenai had made her way to the door, reaching for the cold metal of the handle; she was met with a very different sensation. A knee was thrown into her gut; the wind escaped Kurenai's lungs at a rapid pace.
"Fuck you!" Anko screamed, her voice carried the unbridled anger and hurt. "So what I got around? I was happy, and I thought you didn't care! I thought you were my friend!"
Anko's wailing muffled the tearing sound of the silky dress, but it didn't go unnoticed by the trio.
Hana too was stunned by the venomous statement of the Genjutsu mistress. Kurenai had been the first to accept Anko into their friend group and had never seemingly been bothered by her friends choice to bed men here and there.
Hana and Yugao brushed it off. Anko enjoyed sex, she never promised a relationship, and she never let it affect others. With all that, they just let her do her thing; it wasn't their place to step in.
Anko had been betrayed once more, now by the person she considered as one of her closest friends. "Great, now my dress is ruined."
Anko knew that Naruto knew of her carnal escapades amongst fellow shinobi in the village. He didn't just turn a blind eye to it, he asked her about it. That was an awkward conversation, explaining to a ten-year-old that you enjoy sex to a point where it didn't matter who it was with seemed like a harrowing truth.
Instead, Naruto praised her, not for the deed itself; he was still too young to fully understand the implications. But he knew of its taboo nature and told her that he thought it was impressive. Jiraiya had given him a severe explanation about his perverted habit; Naruto was introduced to the coping mechanisms that were vices. He simply aligned Anko's vice with lots of nameless sex, knowing that ninja's needed something to tie them down to sanity when they return from a mission he accepted that that was her choice.
Naruto once asked why she stopped sleeping around one day, towards the end of their training together. Surprisingly for Naruto, Anko's suddenly came down with something and needed to go home.
In the knowledge of all this, Anko wanted to put in an effort so Naruto would see her as a fine woman. She didn't want him to think that he was out with the village tramp, for Naruto, she would put effort into showing him how wonderful she was.
"Leave." Her grave tone left no room for argument.
This time ignoring the door, Kurenai disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Anko wasn't angry anymore; she was just tired. Tired of the fact that everyone saw her as some harlot parading around for a good time. So what, she got around in clothing that left little to the imagination, Guy wore spandex, what was the difference?
There was a small group of people that she didn't want to see the Anko that everyone else did. Hiruzen, Ibiki, Hana, Yugao, Naruto and she thought Kurenai was amongst them, but that went up in flames.
"Well," Hana began. "I didn't expect tonight to go this way."
"Heh," Anko chuckled humourlessly. "You got that right."
"Look, Anko-chan, just forget about that, tonight's your night, got that?" Anko's smile returned, Hana was right, tonight was supposed to be one for the photo album, and she would make sure it stayed that way.
While Anko was prepping herself for the date, Hana had retreated into the closet once more. Shuffling between the hangers, the Inuzuka was tearing through her clothing. Inbetween the mission clothing, Chunnin vests and civilian clothing she stopped when something caught her eye.
"Perfect!"
~ Outside of Kyanbera no Chikatetsu ~
Naruto was currently waiting outside of the Kaiseki-ryōri restaurant; Hie decided to go with a mix between casual and formal attire. A cobalt shirt with grey pants, traditional sandals on his feet. "God, I feel so undressed." He sighed as he rubbed his forehead and then ran a hand through his loose hair. Without his headband, he always felt a little off, but it was only passing thought.
After all, he –Naruto Uzumaki– was supposed to be going on a date with one of the most desirable kunoichis in the village. Before their... involvement at the Inuzuka household, he hadn't really taken notice of the feminine figure. After that incident, his eyes had been slightly keener to the female body.
It had never truly hit him what was happening in his life, who knew what was going to happen next?
He chuckled at the thought; he had not lived what one would call an ordinary life, not by a long shot. He shook the thoughts away, no time for going over his life, he had to keep moving forward. He had been keeping his physical regimen in place, weight and fitness; this was mainly for his speed and use of the Executioner's Blade.
What a wonderful weapon, it was.
Sword.
Sword training.
His sensei.
Hayate.
"Fuck."
Hayate still hadn't woken up; he was getting weaker and weaker throughout the week that had passed. He wondered if it was an irrational thought to blame himself, but that didn't stop him from doing so. If his seal worked that split-second quicker, if he were fast enough to have dragged Hayate out of the way, his sensei wouldn't be in the state, he is now.
He hadn't seen Yugao since that night in the hospital, Hana hadn't either, she talked about the second purple-haired kunoichis absence. Naruto decided it best not to bring up what would happen; the last thing he wanted to be was the cause of an argument between their group.
Hah! The Irony.
He tussled the sleeve on his right arm enough to catch of the seal he had painted on the limb. There were to storage seals, one for a kunai at a time-release, for every activation one kunai would be unsealed. The second was for his massive zanbatou, it wasn't that he refused to stop living the ninja's life, but it was that that weapon was a reminder.
If he lost the Executioner's Blade, they would be hell to pay.
He pulled his sleeve back down, no need to show off in front of everyone.
The nerves began to creep in, Anko was now fifteen minutes late. He didn't know what it felt like to be stood up, from the gut-punch this already was, he didn't believe he could handle it.
Before he could slap himself for thinking that, he turned around at the noise of scuffling, Anko had got it just right. His jaw muscles slackened as it hung around his waist.
There was the ever-boisterous Anko Mitarashi, looking better than he had ever seen. Her hair remained in that fanned pony-tail, he loved it that way. But she had on light mauve eye-shadow and lemonade pink lip-stick.
Anko underdoing it was still an incredible sight.
She had on a short violet dress that cut off at mid-thigh, waved along the bottom. It had a bowtie sewn into the hip on the right side, the upper portions of the dress were short-sleeved and cut right along the collar-bone. Hiding her emphasised bust.
"Enjoying the show player-boy?" She spoke seductively as she sauntered towards him, an apparent sway of the hips. Her smirk formed into a full-blown grin as she saw him take a healthy look; he didn't seem to notice her question.
"As nice as it is to be found as so attractive, your still to young for that." That broke him out of his lust-filled musings.
"Ah, wai-wh-bu-no, that's no-"
"You don't think I'm beautiful?" She spoke, feigning hurt. She pouted adorably, putting her index finger to her lips and her eyes began to gloss over.
Naruto's expression turned from shock to absolute fear, of what he wasn't sure. Was it upsetting Anko? Was it that she didn't like him staring? Was it what he thought she might do to him if she was upset? He didn't know.
"No no no no no no!" He rushed out, waving his arms frantically, his face hot with embarrassment.
His wide-eyes and heavy breathing were incredibly amusing to the T&I specialist. As that was her job, she had a pretty good understanding of ways prisoners expressed themselves and Naruto fell into one very distinct category.
Guilty.
She leant down and patted his cheek, lightly slapping it. "Aww... you're just so cute, aren't you?" Not even trying to fight it, he just puffed his cheeks out.
"Enough about how absolutely dazzling I look," Anko began, pirouetting in emphasis. "You smartened up pretty well too." See commented, giving him a once-over.
"I'm not sure, compared to you, I look underdressed." He said, brushing his shirt and pants.
Anko thrust out a peace sign, striking a pose in confidence. "That's because no one can match me!"
Naruto hadn't laughed harder than that in a while.
He needed it.
Relatively short chapter, I know. The stuff with Anko, not gonna say if that's my opinion on sex or not, this is fanfiction, if you're thinking of commenting on, don't expect a response. What's gonna happen to Hayate? How will it affect the Sand's plans?
We'll see.
A small insight into Fuinjutsu, Not particularly interested in inventing laws for it. GraeFoxx's (The Last Prayer), apart from the copious amounts of sex, I think, did a stunning job at detailing his view of it and managing to weave it into the story. That, is one of the reasons I'm loving that story, go check it out yourself.
This extended just enough to be it's own chapter, the Chunnin exams will likely start next chapter though expect it to be quite long.
Some people are confused with the names of the characters I have given them.
They are not last names, they are TITLES.
Kankuro no Mojiretsu means Kankuro of the Strings - Puppeteer, strings, no more explanation needed
Temari no Kyōfū means Temari of the Gale - Wind user, No more explanation needed, just because they are siblings doesn't mean they have the same title. Gaara's didn't change, he had his title but Kankuro, Temari, Rasa, their mother or even Yashimaru were not recognised the same way.
Omoi no Arupusu means Omoi of the Alps - Hidden Cloud is in a mountain range because Omoi and Karui are teammates, their names are similarly derivative.
Karui no Pīku means Karui of the Peaks - Hidden Cloud is in a mountain range because Omoi and Karui are teammates, their names are similarly derivative.
Chojuro no Akaei means Chojuro of the Stingray - Chojuro is similar to a stingray, they both are usually quite meek and avoid contact with others (Stingrays here in Australia at the first sight of a human swim away), but when attacked or defensive become ferocious. Flatfish or Flounder fish, which Hirameikarei is shaped after are similar in shape to stingrays. Also, they are aquatic creatures, land of water, Hidden mist.
Admittedly Chojuro's took the most thought if you couldn't tell.
Thanks for reading.
