Ghosts, Goblins and Murder
Chapter 13th
Captain Kate Beckett had asked Alexis to do her a favor with the case to do something like she had done years ago. "Just be sure you're able to place the bugs in places that he won't be able to notice Alexis."
"Of course! I will be my charming self for when I walk into his office and get his secretary out of the way with Hayley's help."
"Good. Just be sure that you don't get caught by the lawyer Robert Douglas. Unless he's going to be elsewhere?" She had to reply to Alexis with the plan.
"Of course not Kate. Hayley and I know what is involved for when it comes to this case. I don't wish to see the brothers and Douglas to kill again." She stated from the P.I. office. While her father was elsewhere for an interview with his book Cat's eye.
"Call me for when the chore is done in order to test the two electronic bugs. Understand?" She asked strongly with her tone of voice and demeanor.
"I will be talking with Hayley in a few moments for when she arrives from the field talking to a source of hers." She hangs up the phone with her step-mother to get to work with going into the back to pull out the two electronic bugs from the safe.
Meanwhile Hayley had arrived having spoken with a source in regard to the lawyer Robert Douglas. She saw Alexis calling her over to the desk with Hayley asking what was going on.
"Captain Beckett call us asking to place two electronic bugs in Douglas office. And we need to do this quickly. I will explain in the car Hayley along with the two bugs to be placed." She explained...
"Fine let's get going. I have something else to say about the lawyer and his military background." Hayley placed on her coat again with the weather outside chilly and a bit windy.

Robert Douglas being sent home from his boss Alotta angry. So he's going to call Jake and Joey on whether they will be interested in another job.
Picking up his phone to call them not knowing where they might be. Dialing the number to Jake hopefully he will pick up. "Hello! Mr. Douglas we were wondering why we haven't heard from you. What's going on sir?" Jake had to say from their motel room having changed from being arrested by the police.
"I have a job for you and your brother to take care of for me. It's my boss Alotta of the law firm and I want him dead as soon as possible. Understand?" Douglas had to say with knocking a plant vase onto the grey rug in his living room. He was angry as hell.
"I do Understand sir. However what about our payment for the job?" Jake asked for getting paid or else they weren't going to do the job.
"I will send in the payment from my bank to your account for one million dollars. Call me when it's done." He hangs up the phone to Jake to head into the shower to try and relieve some of his stress tension.
Sometime later at the Wall Street firm...
Alexis and Hayley had arrived wearing clothes fit to look like lawyers with files in their hands to see if they can get past the secretary. Though she had gone out to lunch with Alotta in his office working on different cases.
Hayley knocked on the door with Alexis with Alotta what was happening with the two ladies. "Oh, I am sorry Mr. Alotta. However Robert had asked us to come here to give you this updated file. We tried searching for him in his office."
"I sent him home for the rest of the day." When Alexis dropped the file onto the ground with Alotta getting up to help her with picking the papers up. While Hayley placed the first electronic bug under his table and than the counter with the flower plants.
Alexis with Alotta was able to pick them up with a wide smile and a quick kiss to his cheek. "Thank you, sir. Here you go that needs to be signed whenever possible." She said with moving away.
Hayley moved away as well once everything was possible. Walking out with the two ladies heading out to catch the elevator only to miss the two brothers arriving off the elevator. While the security cameras were picking it up with the two brothers walking inside with no secretary.
Mr. Alotta was busy reading his different case files when the two brothers walked in with their weapons to fire at Alotta to be hit three times by the into the head and chest. The electronic bug had picked up with the firing of the weapons. Along with the following... "We need to get out of here Jake before the security guards arrive onto their rounds?" This is what is going to be heard with Captain Beckett and her team listening in her office with Sergeant Esposito and Ryan listening with the bugs having been placed.
"Now we know for sure that Jake and Joey had been involved with the murders and now adding Alotta to the list." Kate needed to say with her temper. "Gentlemen I suggest you head there with the coroner. I want a full report on why he was killed in the first place unless Douglas gave the order."
"Of course Captain." Esposito had to say with grabbing his partner to head out with Beckett needing to call Alexis and Hayley on whether they had seen the two getting into the elevator.
Alexis and Hayley heading back to the P.I. office with Beckett just catching them before going on home for the rest of the night.
Alexis was in the back washing her face after arriving inside from the colder weather. When her cell phone went off coming from Beckett. "Beckett hey the electronic bugs have been placed. Are you getting anything from them?"
"We sure have Alexis. Alotta has been executed by the brothers of Jake and Joey just prior to the both of you leaving. Did you or Hayley see anything with getting off the elevators of the firm?"
"No ...nothing Beckett. We needed to get out of there before the security officers had begun their rounds. So what is going to happen now Beckett?"
"Continue searching for the brothers and see if the security cameras were able to pick them up. Thank you for the help from you and Hayley. I am just sorry that Alotta had to executed. Good night Alexis." Beckett needed to say with being exhausted herself.
