Please enjoy!

Ben Collins was apprehensive. He was about to start his first day at Wizengamot Administration Services. It wasn't something he was super passionate about it, but it was a good job for a 19 year old. He walked into the office, and was greeted by a perky woman, probably in her late 50's. Her name tag read Betty

"Hello dear! What can I help you with?"

"I'm Benjamin Collins. This is my first day, and I'm not sure what I am supposed to be doing." He asked nervously.

"Oh, of course. You'll help Lily in the record room. She'll show you around." Betty smiled "Lily! Can you come out here!"

And then he saw her. She had straight red hair with purple tips, and she was covered in freckles from head to toe. She was stunning.

"I'm Lily!" She said, holding out her hand "I'll show you around the office."

"Ben. Nice to meet you."

"Oh. You're American?" She said, picking up on his accent

"Yeah. So what will I be doing?"

"Oh. You'll be working with me filing new wizards records and such. Most people find it boring, but I enjoy it." Lily replied "Right this way"

She led him into a large room. It looked like an ornate library, but there were no chairs or desks, and instead of books there were files.

"So basically you looks at these unfiled records, and you mark the person's name and date of birth. Also, just a heads up, they are magic proof."

"Why?"

"It's a security measure. So that even if people make it here without getting caught they have to find it in my crazy filing system." Lily grinned evilly "That is also why you are just marking them, it is too hard to learn the filing. Let's get to work!" So they worked in silence for a while, Ben marking the files and Lily flitting about putting them in their places. Ben couldn't work out what her system was, but he supposed that was the point.

"They used to always put newbies here, because it was such a disaster. Apparently they would always ask to be transferred after a couple days." She made conversation.

"It doesn't look like a disaster to me."

"Well it's not anymore. They put me in here, but I like the work, so I was here for months and months, and got things filed." She shrugged

"How long have you worked here?" He inquired

"About a year. Since graduation." She shrugged

"Why are you still here then?" Ben asked "I thought this was the job for newbies"

"Well I do other stuff, but three reasons. Number one is that I understand the filing system, number two is that I like the work, and probably the main reason is who my family is."

"Are they disliked?"

"Quite the opposite actually. My dad runs the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and my Aunt's the minister. They are worried about nepotism, and they think if they move me up too fast it will attract attention." Lily explained

"Wow. So your family is pretty well known, huh?"

"You didn't know? I'm Lily Potter daughter of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley-Potter."

"The Quidditch player?"

"Yup!"

They went back to working in silence, occasionally talking, for the rest of the morning.

"Hey Ben. You wanna come have lunch with me and my cousins? I wouldn't want you getting lost on your first day." Lily asked

"Sure, thanks"

"Great. Come on!" She led him through the building, occanally greeting someone.

"Hey Dom! How's Auror training? How's Elsie?" Lily asked a young woman with short blonde hair.

"Both great. Elsie loves muggle school."

"Awesome. Bye!"

After a couple minutes of walking, they reached a courtyard area with tables and stuff.

"This is where you come if you don't want to eat at your desk." She showed him "Here are my cousins. Hey Rox! Hugo!"

Lily walked over to a table with a young man with chestnut hair and a young woman with red hair.

"Hey Lils. Who's this?" The woman asked

"This is my new co-worker, Ben. Ben, this is Roxanne, and this is Hugo. They are my slightly less idiot cousins."

"Less idiot compared to whom?" Ben asked

"My other 8 cousins, plus the 6 honorary ones and my two brothers." Lily replied "Although Vic and Teddy aren't idiots, but I'm sure they were, it was just before we were alive."

"Hi. Nice to meet you Ben." They chatted and joked. Ben started eating with them most days, and they became quite close. And it was just the four of them for a couple of months. Until Meg dropped in...
