Love Struck Delusion

Chapter 253 - Intense.

Pepper's POV.

For the last hour Zeta's been quiet in the guest room. I decided enough was enough and went up to see her. Cody and Peek had already found more than enough movies to kill through the night and were preparing some snacks. I knew however I'd probably be stuck between them if she wasn't going to bother getting up, but god knows what that rage did to her.

I knocked once and opened the door to find her laying down with her back pressed along the back wall closest to the window. In confusion I said.

"Zeta?"

Her head was down in her chest and very slowly I moved forward to widen my eyes at her right arm. Instantly I knew I shouldn't have left her alone. Blood was dried up all over her fur and I found her knife resting on her lap. Thankfully she wasn't really bleeding anymore. She must have calmed herself down by doing this much damage. However it wasn't pretty in the slightest. She went too far and cut herself more than necessary. I already knew why; because I had a feeling she was thinking about Raptor and that hedgehog friend of his the whole time she did it. Getting down alongside her, I reached behind my back and got out a small medkit I had tucked away in my belt for emergencies. As I got out some prep pads and some bandages, I whispered into her ear.

"You're lucky you're asleep. Otherwise I'd kick your ass for being this immature."

Her arm was limp as I took it, but to my surprise she whispered back.

"I just can't handle my own emotions. Not since….not since dad."

I had stopped all my movement and had focused back on her completely. I had every reason to understand what she meant by that. Dad and her were inseparable back when we were kids and even teenagers. Slowly I went back to cleaning her wounds. During which she said to me.

"I'm sorry Pep."

"It's fine." I replied as I began to wrap up her arm with the bandage. Looking up at me with two wet gold eyes, she muttered through small tears.

"No it's not."

I was ignoring her at this point. I knew she was emotional and that wasn't my strong suite. When I finished her arm, I noticed something in between her legs. Gently I reached down and picked up a small pill container. Zeta's eyes widened slightly as I took notice that the liquid inside was pink and split in between three separate trays. One of which was empty. Looking back up to her eyes I questioned.

"What the hell is this?"

Zeta was slow to answer, but when she did she sounded like a mouse.

"A bad habit?"

In confusion I opened it up and took a sniff. Instantly I felt my head thumping and quickly shutting the case I asked her again.

"What the fuck is that? Ohhhhh fuck that's strong. Is that venom?"

Nodding once and gently taking it from my hand she replied.

"It's a shot of extract, a tablet of condensed venom, and…..and some coke."

Widening my eyes, I questioned with a small smile and some laughter.

"What? Is that your idea of a speedball? Or are you seriously looking to overdose? That shit in there still has my nose running."

"Don't tell Raptor. I've….?" Cutting her off I asked.

"He doesn't know you do coke?"

Zeta slowly shook her head and replied quietly.

"No…...well I'm not too sure."

I knew she was still upset, but I wasn't dumb ether. As she put the drug in her pocket I told her bluntly.

"That shit can kill you."

Looking back up to my eyes with a sense of astonishment she replied.

"It's so fucking good though. You should try it once. We can do it now."

Widening my eyes, I lost my ability to speak almost. Zeta quickly caught on and told me.

"You like coke too. I know you do. Danny got us hooked back at his house the day after school was up."

"I know all about Danny and honestly he's probably dead from doing shit like this Zeta."

"Just once?" She begged me as I growled softly. Reaching for my hand, Zeta took it close to her lap and whispered.

"I survived and I'm not even perfect at controlling it. You'll be fine. I know you will be."

I was actually thinking about saying yes to this stuipd idea. The only thing holding me back was one thing and that I said to her.

"Cody and Peek are about to start their little movie show. We can't do this and go down there like nothing happened."

"Why not? What the fuck are they going to say? We're high? Hehe."

I gave her this gentle tug to get my hand free and as I did I asked her.

"What did it do to you?"

Smiling, she replied.

"Makes you horny as fuck and gives you the jitters. Alongside a pounding headache for the first minute or so, it had me rolling and lightheaded in less then a few seconds after I inhaled. It's so good Pep. I couldn't control my urge to play with myself."

Now I chuckled and told her directly.

"That sounds great and all, but if it gets you that horny then it sure as fuck will make me go insane. And the last thing I want to do is lose my shit and give head to one of those two downstairs. Even though Cody is a cute guy."

Zeta was thankfully getting a little bit happier now that the option was there for me to do this with her. However she said to me next.

"We can wait if you want. Maybe tonight? When Raptor gets back?"

I knew why she said that. Giving her a small smile back I replied.

"Maybe…...but the sun is still up. I'd like to do something like this when I can have the option to pass out for hours after."

"Then we'll wait. Are you going to do it though?"

Nodding I replied.

"Yeah. Even though it's probably going to be stuipd for my health."

Zeta began to laugh again and thankfully she quickly allowed me to try and clean up her arm a little before going back downstairs. As I finished I told her.

"Don't say a word about this to the boys and do me a favor. Before we decide to do this please go get washed up. You reak."

"Fuck you." She laughed back as I leaned in to hug her.

Ryker's POV, an hour later.

I was pretty deep in my drinking. Thankfully Ron cut me off after five and now all I was doing was struggling to watch what he had on TV and sometimes looking back at Raptor Voltz who was still talking with those two friends of his. My head was spinning somewhat but I could still handle myself if the need arises.

"Hey?"

Jumping slightly to the sudden voice, I spun my head around to find Ron there once again with that smile plastered on his face.

"What's up Ron?" I asked him as he softly said me.

"Your brother called. Wanted me to tell you that they have dinner ready and are waiting on you back home."

Letting out a small chuckle I questioned.

"Really Ron?"

Shrugging his shoulders the bear replied.

"Hey he's just looking out for you."

"I'm twenty six. I can handle my own schedule these days."

Again Ron told me.

"Well hey at least be aware. It's getting time for my normal patrons to show up and they aren't the nicest guys. Some of which I know pray upon girls like yourself and you've had a good amount to drink Ryker. You should get heading back."

I knew he was right. Fuck if he wasn't always right. Nodding my head slowly I replied.

"Okay, but Ash really needs to ease up on the whole guardian angel shit."

"He loves you." Ron stated as I nodded again and hopped down from the stool I was on. With Ron watching me struggle to stay on my feet as I tried to find my balance, I looked back at him as he asked me.

"You want a ride home? You can leave your car here tonight. You shouldn't drive back."

"It's five minutes." I replied as he shook his head to say back.

"That's more than enough time for you to get hurt in a car wreck or molested by some goons. Let me help."

"How?" I questioned as he took a look around the bar. In confusion, I stared at him and in maybe five seconds he focused himself over to my left side. From there I watched as the big guy got out from behind the bar and made his way over to where Raptor was with his friends. I had no idea what he was doing, but I understood very quickly as slowly Raptor stood up to turn and look at me.

"Oh no." I whispered as Ron shook his head and guided him back over. As they approached Ron told me.

"He's gonna make sure you get home safe Ryker. Give him your keys."

I was stunned in absolute silence as Raptor was now standing right in front of me. Ron couldn't be fucking serious. Looking over at the bear as I got out my keys, I questioned.

"Are you serious Ron?"

Nodding he replied.

"Very. Now come on. Hand them over."

With my eyes going back to the hedgehog standing no more than three feet away, I felt my arms shaking as I reached up to hand him my car keys. Gently he took them and told Ron.

"I'll make sure she gets home safe Ron."

"I know you will Raptor. Thank you for doing this."

"It's no problem." He replied as he looked back to me to ask.

"You ready?"

I nodded and replied back.

"Yeah…..I mean….yes sir."

Giving me a smile, Raptor proceeded to softly place his hand on my back and began to guide me to the door. At which point Ron shouted.

"Stay safe!"

Raptor's POV.

This girl was just sober enough to walk. Helping her get outside, I stopped us near the parking lot to ask.

"Which one are you?"

Pointing to the very east end of the lot she replied.

"The blue one."

"Okay." I said as we began to head that way.

Once at her car, I got her door open and waited till she was inside and buckled up. Once done, I shut it and went around to the driver's side. Only as I sat down did she say to me.

"I'm so sorry you have to do this. This is so embarrassing and this is not how I wanted first impressions to go."

Laughing a bit at her statement, I got the engine started and urged her.

"It's all good. I owe Ron some favors anyway. Where do I go from here?"

This girl's ears were so fucking long they were folded over her lap. Moving them to her sides she replied.

"Ahhhhh….I live on bustleton pike. Do you know where that is?"

Nodding I replied.

"I can figure it out. Been living here for a few years. I'd be upset if I didn't know my own neighborhood by now. That's on the same street the supermarket is on right? The one that burned down about two years back?"

Giving me this small smile she replied.

"Yeah. I almost forgot that happened. Wow."

This girl was clearly over her limit. Ron said she had about five shots and for a bunny her size it was no surprise he cut her off. She didn't seem bothered by that though. In fact she was still happy despite being trapped with me. Yet I still had the advantage of reading her mind and at the very least she seemed scared inside. Scared and embarrassed like she pointed out. As I got us on the road and heading in the right direction, she said to me quietly.

"I can't believe you know Ron."

"He's been a good friend of mine for years. Ever since I lived here I've known him to be a great dude."

"He is pretty great. Hehehe." With the bunny starting to ease up and laugh a bit, I asked her as I had noticed she had a rebellion vest in the back seat laying on the floor.

"You have family in the rebellion military?"

She was almost shocked I even managed to see the vest in the first place. As I drove she reached back to grab it and bring it up onto her lap where she then informed me.

"My brother and I are both enlisted. We joined up when you had your first recruitment operation. After you took back the city."

To be honest I was surprised. Looking over to her I wondered.

"Was it hard for you? I assume you and your brother had a rough time in training."

"It was hard. Being this small kinda makes lifting weights a task."

"I'm sure you guys excelled somewhere. You're not infantry are you?" I asked as I looked over to see her staring back at me. With a calm tone she replied.

"Not really. I mean we trained for it, but of course we were assigned to do other things. My brother Ash wanted to be on the frontlines with everyone else fighting, but with things being the way they are; we were both assigned more peaceful tasks. I'm currently part of radio communications as an engineer. My brother actually is posted at the south gate. It's about as close as he'll get to his dream job."

Nodding my head I then asked her as we neared her street.

"You like it?"

Looking over to me she replied.

"I do."

From that moment going forward I was quiet. Up till she pointed out her house. Then I pulled her car into the driveway and shut off the engine. As I took out the keys and handed them back to her she said to me.

"Hey so I know this is a stuipd thing to ask you, but my family is very grateful to you. All the things you've done and how you risk everything for our safety. It would mean a lot to me if you stayed for dinner. My dad cooks this really good stew and I'm sure my mom has something else going on. Would you want to…..?" Her words were cut off as my phone began to ring. Gently pulling it out and answering the call I said.

"What's up?"

It was Pepper and to no surprise she asked me.

"Hey where are you?"

"I'm with a friend of mine. What's wrong?"

"Nothing. We just finished up one of the movies Cody picked out. He's got like three more lined up and it's about to get late. When are you coming back?"

Looking back at the small rabbit sitting alongside me, I replied after taking a long breath.

"Probably in another hour or two. We're about to have dinner."

I heard Pepper's tone change as she questioned.

"Is it Hunter?"

Chuckling I replied.

"No. I'll tell you later. Just tell everyone there is nothing to worry about. I'll be home after."

"Okay." She replied as I nodded and hung up. Once I put my phone away, my eyes looked back at Ryker. She was shaking again, but this time she was excited. Keeping my happy tone afloat, I asked her.

"Are you sure it's okay I just drop in like this? You don't think they'll be at least a little bit surprised?"

Giving me a super soft giggle she replied.

"Oh they will be, but that's the fun. My brother Ash is probably going to shit himself."

"Mom and pop?"

"My dad is super respectful but this will probably take his breath away. As for my mom…...well she'll probably hug you to death. She's the sweetest person in the middle east." Ryker informed me as I nodded my head and unlocked the doors urging her.

"Well then lead the way. I'm kinda curious what that means."

This bunny jumped at the chance to get out of the car and to my surprise she came around to my side to grab onto my hand. At the same time she dragged me forward to reply.

"Thank you so much! I'm sure you won't regret it!"

I began to laugh alongside the bunny and together we went to the front door.
