I have been given permission to share this story so others may enjoy. I hope that you will. As always, thank you for the support! -L.J

The scent of spring fell heavy in the air. The soft breeze wafted into the small candy shop while the sound of stone steps being swept broke the silence. Kisuke looked up from behind the counter, his head propped up in his right hand, eyelids heavy, feeling like he needed a good nap. The afternoon was perfect, well, almost perfect. She hadn't come in today.

Kisuke turned his head, glancing over at the clock, it was a little after four in the afternoon. Not too late, but still later than usual. She always came in on Friday. Kisuke frowned, turning his attention back to Ururu sweeping the stairs. What was wrong with him? Why was he so interested in this woman? It wasn't like anything could ever happen between them. Well, it shouldn't, anyway.

Kisuke sighed, sitting up straight and rolled his broad shoulders. What did he know of her? Not much, he was reluctant to admit. She was new to the city, had moved from another country. America, to be exact. She had a polite manner about her, but it was her eyes that had drawn him to her that first day. Even from across the room he had been able to sense the underlying sadness.

Kisuke hadn't wanted to pry, but it had seemed like something heavy was weighing on her shoulders that day. He had made an effort to be helpful, thinking that maybe she just needed a friend in a new place. Natural, right? What wasn't natural was the way he couldn't stop thinking about those brown eyes. About how he wanted to watch them light up, to see an expression of happiness bloom across her features. He wanted to light her up from within.

Maybe he was making too much out of the situation? Hell, maybe he was projecting his own sense of loneliness where it shouldn't be. It was no secret he really didn't get out much, didn't really have much to do these days. He was an actual candy shop owner now, no more back ally deals selling items banned from the Soul Society. No more making of Gigai, that was pretty much taken care of now-a-days.

Another sigh escaped his lips as he thought about his options. He could go take the nap he'd been contemplating, or he could head out for a walk, try and get the mysterious woman out of his head. He hadn't wanted to ask for her name, worried that if he had it, the strange fascination would only latch on harder. A name was important, after all.

"Hey there." A friendly voice called, making Kisuke raise his gaze.

Kisuke stood from the stool in one fluid motion while is heart did a dance within the walls of his chest.

"Hey, Yourself. Wasn't sure if you were going to come by today." Kisuke offered, a polite smile on his lips.

The woman smiled back, a slight blush spreading across her cheeks. Her gaze moved to the selection of candies and snacks. It seemed like she had a bit of an addiction to junk food, which he wouldn't hold against her. Kisuke caught himself, before he allowed his eyes to wonder any farther. It wasn't like him to make a woman feel uncomfortable, but his eyes seemed to have a mind of their own.

" I decided I would stop by after work today, rather than on my lunch break." The woman informed him.

"I can't seem to get enough of these." She smiled, lifting the package of Sakura Mochi.

Kisuke's smile widened, his eyes twinkling with mischief. His inner thoughts had him shaking his head a little. He didn't need to think about eating the candy off the woman's naked pale skin. Stop that! He chided internally as he moved from behind the counter.

"If Mochi is what you like, we have a wider selection of flavors over here. Sakura is more of a seasonal item." Kisuke explained.

"I see. I wasn't aware of that. Maybe I should try and find something I can get all year?" She replied.

Kisuke couldn't help but wink at her. Her lashes fluttered and her cheeks flushed brighter in reaction- Damn. Don't think I've ever wanted to kiss a woman's blush before…

"I'm here all year." Kisuke blurted.

Her soft laugh pulled at his chest and groin at the same moment, making him feel the victim of a sadistic game of tug a war. The eyes he had been keeping in check moved, taking in the rounded curve of her backside. The sway of her hips as she walked to the wall of candies. He'd done it, he'd made her laugh and the reaction hadn't been what he'd expected. After all this time, he was…attracted to a human woman.

It took Kisuke a minute to realize she hadn't commented on his risky flirtation. Had he gone to far? Maybe…he was pretty good at putting his foot in his mouth sometimes, but he'd never really needed a filter in the past. But she's not like everyone else in your past. She doesn't even know you…

"Are these any good?" She asked, turning and holding up a package of Daifuku.

Kisuke shrugged his broad shoulders before he answered.

"If you like red bean paste."

"Everything here is so interesting. I've been having fun trying new things. I think I'll take a couple different flavors this time." She continued, quickly grabbing a couple bags from the hooks.

Kisuke found he wanted to stall her, not ready to see the woman leave so soon, but, it wasn't like he could really act on these feelings. She doesn't know you! She doesn't know what you are! Kisuke's inner voice didn't seem to have much effect as he made his way behind the counter.

Ururu blinked at him as if confused, but backed away from the register, her puppy dog eyes scanning him as he rang up the woman's purchases himself. Something he normally wouldn't do. Kisuke could feel the young woman's gaze peering into him, as if she were searching for the reason behind his abnormal behavior.

Ururu wasn't stupid. She was in her twenties now and only worked at the shop out of some misguided sense of loyalty, her brother had taken off for greener pastures years ago, but Jinta still stopped by at least once a week.

"That will be 2500 yen." Kisuke stated with a smile.

The woman's brow furrowed, turning her head back to the direction of the wall.

"That doesn't sound like it's enough?" She questioned, those brown eyes filling with suspicion.

"I gave you a bit of a discount, being a loyal customer and all…" Kisuke replied.

The woman smiled as she crossed her arms over her generous breasts, it took Kisuke all his willpower not to glance down and look his fill.

"What makes me so special?" She countered.

Kisuke smiled broadly, remembering to insert that filter he normally didn't need to use before blurting out something that would surely embarrass her.

" Like I said, loyal customer." Kisuke pressed, handing out her bagged up sweets to her.

She shook her head, her smile wide across her pale features. Kisuke had the urge to lean over and press his mouth against her perfect skin-Was it as soft as it looked? How would she taste, I wonder…

"What is your name, anyway?" She demanded, bringing Kisuke's full attention back to her words. Ah, damn. Names? She wanted names?

"I am Kisuke Urahara, the owner of this charming little establishment." He introduced himself, his gut clenching as he waited for her reply.

"The owner, huh? Well, before I can be given customer loyalty discounts, shouldn't I at least be on first name basis?" She challenged.

"Ah, my oversight. By all means…" Kisuke smiled, gesturing for her to tell him the name that would haunt the rest of his nights.

"I'm Lily Davis. It's nice to meet you, Mr. Urahara."

Kisuke's smile turned into a grin, his eyes searched her face, thinking the name suited her in a strange way. Lily's were beautiful blooms-Was she aware of their meaning? Purity and fertility. Now would be a good time to remember that filter!

"Nice to meet you, too, Lily. You have a beautiful name." Kisuke complemented, keeping his voice low while he leaned in to collect the money from her hand, rather than allow her to place it on the counter.

His fingers brushed hers, and the shock of sensation caused them both to suck in a breath. Kisuke lifted his gaze to hers and their eyes locked for what felt like a small eternity. Inside those depths of warm chocolate he could see the hidden emotions. The excitement, the desire, but it was the hint of fear that made him draw himself back.

"I hope you enjoy these as much as the Sakura, Lily. Don't be a stranger." Kisuke stated, before turning and handing Ururu the money.

The young woman quickly counted back the change and placed it onto the counter top, a small knowing smile spread on her lips. The combination of puppy dog eyes and a smile sent Kisuke's mind wondering for the slightest moment, until she spoke to him- Lily. Damn it. He should have known flirting would lead to exchanging names; It can also lead to a hell of a lot more if I'm not careful…

"Thank you, Kisuke. I'll be back next week." Lily replied, her voice coming out a bit more breathy than before.

Kisuke could have groaned aloud at the sound. What he wouldn't give to be able to pull her closer, to shove caution to the wind and show the woman all the ways he could pleasure her, and not just physically. He would delight in having the opportunity to make her laugh, to listen to her wants and needs. To understand why she had felt the need to move half way across the world? Had something happened to her in America? Was that the reason for the sadness that lurked within her eyes?

"What was that about, Boss?" Tessai asked from the doorway, his thick arms crossed over his chest.

Kisuke turned his head, his smile fading under his friend's scrutiny.

"Just a little harmless flirtation. Nothing to worry about, my friend." Kisuke answered, hating the way his gut clenched at the lie. If it were up to him it would be more than just flirtation. It would be a stolen night of pure temptation.

"I see." Tessai commented, before turning and stepping back into the hall that lead to their living area.

Kisuke sighed, turning to face Ururu.

"I guess I didn't sound very convincing, huh?" He asked, his smile turning sheepish.

Ururu shook her head, looking a little glum as she spoke.

"Ms. Davis is a very pretty woman…" Was all Ururu gave him, making Kisuke realize he hadn't been playing as coy as he'd thought.

If Tessai and Ururu could see through his filter, did that mean Lily had? With a shrug of the shoulders Kisuke walked away from the younger woman, heading into the back living area, lost deep in his own thoughts. He couldn't place the attraction. Yes, it was true that Lily was attractive, apparently he found her very attractive, but, it was deeper than that- Too bad I can't act on it, I can already hear her reaction to my lack of humanity ringing in my ears.

"Have a good night, Lily! Thanks for the hard work today!" Ichigo Kurosaki called out as she made ready to leave work for the night. Lily smiled broadly at her new boss before swinging her messenger bag over her shoulder.

"It's no problem." Lily replied before hitting the lights to the open sign and the inner office area. She knew Ichigo would finish up some last minutes notes on his patients before taking the connecting stairs into his house.

Lily stepped out onto the sidewalk, using her new key to lock the clinic doors before she left. Sliding her keys into the inner pocket of her messenger bag, Lily turned heading down the sidewalk in the direction of home. It was a little passed four in the afternoon and the spring day had her smiling as she walked.

There was something about this city, something that called to her on a level she didn't understand. It was one of the reason's she had decided to pick up and move. Well, that and everything else that had happened back home. Lily frowned, not wanting to dredge up the bad memories, she had spent too many hours thinking about the strange phenomena. There really wasn't any rational explanation and she was tired of trying to pick her own brain.

Forcing the negative emotions down, she trudged forward down the sidewalk, taking the corner around another building. Lily slowed her steps, peeking with her peripheral vision she noticed that someone was walking behind her-strange, maybe he's just going the same way I am? Deciding not to allow the sudden wave of panic to cause yet another scene, Lily picked up the pace, taking wider strides.

When the next turn came, she peeked again and sure enough, the kid took the corner a couple paces behind her. He didn't look to be very old, maybe in his teens or early twenties-huh, why is he following me? Should I just turn and confront the little shit!?

Thinking better of it, Lily didn't slow her pace, or give away that she knew she was being followed. Instead she wracked her brain with options that wouldn't get her in trouble. She was pretty sure beating the snot out of some teenager would be frowned upon, considering she was a woman in her mid thirties.

Lily's thoughts came fast, taking note of the area she was in. She could run into one of the restaurant's and ask for someone to help her, but would they? Would they just think she was some crazy foreign woman making something up? As her mind buzzed with adrenaline, she made a sudden change in direction, cutting across the street and heading for the only other place she could think of.

Lily took a peek over her shoulder, looking back at the crosswalk across the street and noticed the kid standing there, waiting to cross. Before she turned, she caught sight of two more kids joining the first-Shit! What the hell do they want? Am I about to get mugged? I thought this city was supposed to be safe!

Without much thought, Lily took off, grabbing her messenger bag tight with one fist, she sprinted down the sidewalk, not caring about the people she narrowly missed knocking down in the process. She wasn't about to get cornered by these punks. Taking a risk, she turned and looked over her shoulder and cursed aloud as the group of three seemed to take chase after her. Was nobody going to help her? Did they not notice what was happening!?

Lily sucked in a deep breath, trying not to scream in terror as she rushed passed another corner building coming up to the back alley that would spill out in front of Urahara Shop. God, I hope he is here today! Please be here! Please be here! Lily chanted the mantra as she gained speed. It wasn't a pleasant feeling being chased by delinquents.

Lily caught sight of the shop ahead but felt her body stumbled as a hand latched onto her shoulder from behind, causing her to lose stumble on her feet. Instead of falling to the ground she managed to keep her footing, whirling her body around, she swung out with a clenched fist, grazing one of the thugs in the jaw with her hit. Lily felt her lungs burning as her back hit the thick brick wall behind her.

"What the fuck do you want!?" Lily panted, keeping her hands up in a defensive gesture.

"Give us your money!" the thug demanded, making Lily shake her head-Was this kid for real!?

"No! Why don't you get a job just like everyone else!" Lily spat back, her fear turning into anger.

Lily glanced over at the other two, realizing they had her caged against the brick wall behind her.

"We'll take that necklace too." The one on the left sneered.

Lily's left hand raised up, clutching the silver locket that had belonged to her grandmother, keeping her right hand out in front of her as if in warning, she shook her head.

"Come on, Lady. We don't have all night." the third kid demanded, stepping closer to her and reaching out for her messenger bag. As if on reflex, Lily grasped the kid on the forearm in an effort to keep him away from her belongings.

A cry of pain and panic filled the ally way as sparks of bright white light shot from Lily's fingertips. As if in a daze, Lily's lips parted, her brown eyes going wide-not again! Oh, please, not again! The thug fell to the ground, making the other two go on the defensive. Lily raised wide eyes to the leader and noticed the four inch blade he'd pulled from his pants.

"I-I didn't mean to!" Lily stammered, raising both of her hands once more, her panicked gaze moving from one man to the other.

"Well, well. What's going on here? You boys picking a fight with this lovely woman? That's not very nice…"

Lily gasped, her gaze darting to the man that filled the alley entrance. Kisuke stood with his hands at his sides, his gaze narrowed underneath the green and white striped hat perched atop his blonde head. The two boys turned to face him, agitation in their stance. The third still lay on the ground, knocked unconscious by whatever Lily had just managed to do.

"What's it to you?" the leader spat.

"Yeah! Mind your own business!" His cohort chimed in.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. You see, this woman is a loyal customer of mine." Kisuke countered, taking a few steps into the ally.

"He has a knife!" Lily blurted, not wanting the shop keeper to be taken off guard. It was bad enough it had happened again, she didn't want Kisuke to get hurt because of her.

"I can see that, Sweetheart. Don't you worry…" Kisuke replied, keeping his voice calm and light, in an effort to soothe her nerves.

The two teens moved forward, the leader brandishing the small blade in a tight fist.

"You trying to make fun of us?" He growled.

"The way I see it you boys have two choices. You can either pick up your friend here and go on your way, or, you can take your chances with me. Honestly, I would choose the first option. This is your only warning." Kisuke continued.

"Pfft. Like we're afraid of you. Some old shop keeper." The leader laughed.

Lily let out a squeak as the two young teens rushed for Kisuke, sucking in a deep breath she raised her hands to her mouth. Wide eyes watched as the man moved with such fluid grace, side stepping the thug who carried the blade, Kisuke's forearm came up to block the jab. In an instant Kisuke's hand shot out, palm up, connecting with the kids jaw sending him backward. With a quick turn of the heal, Kisuke struck the second in the solar plexus with his elbow before kicking the thugs legs out from under him.

"Not bad for an old shop keeper, if I do say so myself." Kisuke smirked down at the felled boys, now laying in a heap at his feet. The deep groans and moans indicating they hadn't been prepared for the outcome.

"Boss…" A deep voice came from the entrance, causing Kisuke to turn his back to Lily.

"Ah, Tessai. Just in time! Would you mind helping us out?" Kisuke asked, his voice still coming out pleasant, as if he didn't have a care in the world.

Lily allowed her legs to buckle, sliding her back all the way down the brick wall until her bottom met the pavement. Kisuke came to her then, leaning down on his haunches in front of her, elbows balanced on knees.

"Are you hurt, Lily?" Kisuke's soft voice came out in a whisper.

"I-I-don't…think…so…" She managed to stammer, forcing her gaze to meet his. The hat he wore hid half his face in shadow, giving him more of an eerie appearance-I thought this man was harmless! Holy shit, who have I been flirting with this past month?

"It's okay, you're safe now, I promise." Kisuke tried to console her.

Lily kept staring at him, her breathing coming out in sharp pants, her legs and hands wouldn't stop shaking, her whole body felt like a leaf being blown around in the wind, she had no anchor, she had no answers-what the hell did I just do!? Am I going crazy?

"You don't look like you've suffered any injuries from what I can see. Will you allow me to help you up? Maybe come inside the shop with me?" Kisuke asked, trying to keep his tone light. It was clear to him that she was going into shock.

"O-Okay." Lily panted, not really registering her acceptance until she felt his gentle warm hands sliding under her arms and lifting her onto her shaking legs.

"Easy now. I've got you." Kisuke purred into her ear as her wrapped up in his arms, pulling her close against his tall muscled frame. He had to be about 6ft tall, his shoulders broad. Lily couldn't deny the embrace anymore than she could make out a coherent sentence. All she knew was that she felt safe in his arms, for the first time in six months, she actually felt…safe.

Lily allowed her arms to slide around his middle, feeling her breathing start to calm as the heat from his body seeped into her. The cool Spring air floated across their heads seeming to bring more clarity with it.

"They followed me from work. I-I think they've been keeping track of me, trying to corner me so they could rob me." Lily whispered.

"You led them here, then?" Kisuke asked.

Lily nodded against his chest, liking the way it felt to run her cheek against half bared male skin-God, why does he smell so good!? It should be illegal for a man to smell like this!

"Quick thinking. I'm touched that you thought of me." Kisuke smiled, knowing it probably wasn't the best thing to say.

Peeking back behind him, Kisuke saw that Tessai had successfully taken care of the mess. Having drug the three thugs from the alley way and into the main shop to be held for the police. Not something Kisuke wanted to have to deal with, but the situation needed reporting. He was in the human world, he had to follow human rules.

"Where did they g-go?" Lily murmured her gaze searching the ground.

Kisuke gently cupped the back of her head in his large palm, making her look up at him.

"Tessai is holding them until the police can come. It's important that they get a report so they can punish these kids properly." Kisuke explained.

"P-police?" Lily stammered.

"Do you not want to talk to the police?" Kisuke asked, his brow furrowing in confusion.

"I-I.." Lily tried to speak, but the words couldn't get passed the massive lump in her throat. The police back home hadn't believed her last time. They had sent her for psychiatric evaluation, made her think that she had somehow gone crazy. Would the police here do the same thing? Had Kisuke saw what she had done?

"Hey now. Don't get yourself all worked up. It's nothing to be afraid of. I'll stay with you during the questioning." Kisuke smiled softly before turning his body and pulling her snug against his side.

Lily wasn't sure how she managed to put one foot in front of the other, but she did, following his stride while leaning into his side. She didn't understand why she wanted him to hold her so badly, but she really didn't have the mental clarity to question it. Kisuke felt good against her, he was solid, he was strong, he was the closest thing to an anchor she had right now.

Lily let her eyes wonder as Kisuke ushered her into the from of the shop, passed the three unconscious teens leaning against the wall. Tessai frowning down at them with arms crossed.

"I called the police, Boss. Should be here in the next twenty minutes." Tessai spoke as they passed him.

"Good. Bring them back once they get here, okay?" Kisuke instructed, still ushering Lily deeper into the shop, behind the counter, through a hallway and down into an open living area. Lily blinked in surprise as the young woman who normally ran the register looked up at her with even sadder eyes than normal.

"Ms. Lily. I made you some Tea. Please, take a seat." She offered, her small voice making Lily want to burst into tears. The lump she had been fighting now pressing against her throat.

"Oh, please don't cry, Ms. Lily." Ururu pleaded, looking up at Kisuke with a forlorn expression.

"Thanks for the Tea, Ururu. Maybe you should wait up front with Tessai." Kisuke offered.

"Yes, Mr. Kisuke." She answered before taking her leave.

Lily let her gaze fall to the table, around it were four overstuffed cushions on the floor, atop it was a small ceramic pot and two clay cups.

"Okay. Here we go, down on the comfy cushion." Kisuke spoke softly, guiding her body in order to take a seat.

Lily didn't even have the energy to protest or be snarky at the somewhat patronizing tone he was using. Somehow, she didn't think he meant it that way. Kisuke was just trying to sooth her, to help her snap out of the shock of being held up at knife point-Knife point! God, I can't believe it! Am I just a magnet for danger? Do these kind of people just seem to be drawn to me?

Kisuke settled her down on the overstuffed cushion and without much thought, he leaned down and pulled her shoes from her feet. Lily had to stop herself from asking what he was doing, being American she wasn't completely used to the concept of taking off your shoes before entering a room-Great, now I feel like I'm being disrespectful…

"S-sorry. Still not used to all the customs here." Lily offered weakly, watching as he kicked off his own shoes by the door.

"No need to apologize. I came in wearing mine, after all." Kisuke explained, his smile soft, such an inviting mouth. Lily gave herself a hard mental kick at the thought-Quit staring at the man like that, for god's sake you were almost mugged not even an hour ago!

Lily nodded, feeling like she couldn't trust herself to speak, deep inside all she wanted to do was run. That was what she had done last time, and look at all the good that had done her. New country , New job, New life-same fucking problems! Lily allowed her shoulders to droop, her body caving in on itself while her hands covered her face.

"Care to talk about it? I'm a pretty good listener..." Kisuke offered, as he poured them both a cup of Tea.

Lily peeked out from between her fingers, watching as he placed the steaming cup in front of her. He was sitting on his knees, which looked uncomfortable as hell to Lily, but maybe that was how she was supposed to be sitting?

"Am I not sitting right, either?" She blurted.

Kisuke let out a half-laugh.

"Sit however you feel the most comfortable, Lily." Kisuke assured her, his mouth curved in a tempting half smile.

She nodded again, allowing her hands to fall to the cup on the table. Kisuke watched her hands as they wrapped around the hot clay, the warmth seeming to seep into her. It was comforting, just like his hug had been.

"I don't even know where to start…" Lily half-laughed.

"I get the feeling this isn't the first time you've had trouble like this." Kisuke stated, taking a sip of his Tea.

Lily sighed, meeting his gaze head on.

"I seem to be some kind of magnet. If someone with ill intentions is within 50 feet of me, I become the target." Lily answered honestly, not sure why she felt like she could trust the gorgeous shop keeper she had a mere month long acquaintanceship with.

"Huh. So things like this have happened to you, what, three, four times?" Kisuke pressed.

Lily scoffed.

"More like at least ten. First time was when I was in middle school, believe it or not. Older high school kids taking money from me, that kind of thing." Lily answered, allowing herself to take a drink of the soothing Tea.

"I can see why you call yourself a magnet. Do these occurrences have anything to do with why you decided to move here?" Kisuke asked.

Lily blew out a breath as she nodded, her brown eyes filling with that sadness Kisuke had noticed the first day. It took everything he had not to climb over the table and wrap the woman in his arms again-That hug before had felt a little too good for comfort. Even now he was having trouble concentrating.

When he had heard the commotion in the ally way, he never would have suspected Lily being there. It was Tuesday, and he wouldn't have expected her until the end of the work week. He hadn't been sure it was her until the teen had fallen to the ground, giving him a better view of her face. Kisuke had stood there, lost in thought as to what he had just witnessed. He swore he heard the sound of a taser going off, but when he'd glanced down at Lily's hand, it had been empty.

"Maybe you could tell me what happened sometime? I'd like to think of myself as a friend after today." Kisuke offered, keeping his tone light, not wanting her to catch on to his suspicions-It was one thing to be attracted to a pretty human, but, what human had the power to wield electric pulses in her fingertips?

Lily took another sip of Tea, meeting his gaze head on.

"You don't have to feign friendship to get answers from me. If you want to know something, just ask." Lily retorted, taking Kisuke by surprise-okay, I guess she's more aware of me than I thought…

"You don't own a taser, do you?" Kisuke smiled.

Lily tried to swallow the lump in her throat, but this time she didn't win the battle. She shook her head as two fat tears slid down her flushed cheeks-Fuck! He did see! Now what's going to happen to me!?

Kisuke jumped up to his feet, skirting the table , he came down on his knees in front of her, taking her face between his large palms he looked straight into her eyes.

"This is very important, Lily. You do own a taser. In fact, its in this very room right now. Do you understand?" Kisuke whispered.

Lily nodded, tears still streaming down her cheeks as realization sank in. Kisuke wanted her to lie to the police. He wanted her to tell them the electric shock she had given the boy had come from a weapon and not her fingers.

"Why are you helping me, Kisuke?" Lily whispered.

"I told you, I consider us friends now and friends look after one another." Kisuke smiled, using his thumbs to wipe away the tracks of tears.

"Boss?" Tessai called out before taking up the doorway of the room.

"Yes?" Kisuke turned, slipping his hand down her arm and taking her hand in his. Lily squeezed his fingers with hers as Tessai turned sideways allowing two uniformed men inside.

"Mr. Urahara. Ms. Davis." The police bowed in formal greeting to each of them. Lily inclined her head, the best she could do sitting down.

"Good evening, Officers. Would you care to sit? Tea is still hot if you would like a cup?" Kisuke offered.

"Sure, that would be lovely." The older of the two smiled, both men kicking off their shoes before entering the room and taking their places at the table. Lily's gaze wandered over to Ururu who was now bringing over two more clay cups from the kitchen across the room.

The young woman wasn't noticed by the two policemen, setting down a cup for each of them before walking around the table behind Lily and Kisuke. Lily felt the heavy thud of something falling next to her leg, but didn't dare look down, in fear that she would give herself away. Kisuke's free hand reached over, his gaze never leaving the policemen he was speaking to.

To them it would appear as if he were patting her leg in a comforting gesture while explaining the situation he had come across. Kisuke was his ever charming self, going into detail, telling the cops he heard the commotion and came to investigate only to find someone he knew personally being accosted by the teenagers.

"I see. So the three suspects followed you from your workplace, Ms. Davis?" the younger cop asked.

Lily nodded her head before licking her dry lips. Her voice came out weak when she began to speak.

"I noticed them about two blocks away from my place of work. It was only one of them then. The other two didn't join him until I crossed the street trying to see if the first would keep following me." Lily explained.

"Were you leading them here?" The older cop asked.

Lily nodded.

"I have been acquainted with Mr. Urahara for a little over a month, I knew he would help me." Lily explained.

"Do you live alone, Ms. Davis? No husband? Boyfriend?" The older policemen continued.

"No, I don't have anyone in my life that way. I just moved here roughly two months ago." Lily answered honestly.

"Ah. Yes. I noticed the work visa connected to your passport." The older one replied, looking down at the identification Lily never left her apartment without.

"From the looks of the injuries on the suspects, a taser was used at some point?" The younger police officer spoke up, his brow lifting in question.

"Y-yes. I have one that I keep with me. When he reached to grab my bag, I used it." Lily lied, hating the sour taste that filled her mouth. Kisuke's hand tightened on hers, telling her that he was there for her, whether or not she was lying.

"Well, it looks like an open and shut case to me. What about you?" The older spoke to the younger.

"I agree. I apologize on behalf of the teenagers, Ms. Davis. We will be sure to file a detailed report and have them sentenced accordingly." The younger rambled on.

"Thank you, officers." Lily whispered, again licking dry lips, her fingers felt like ice and she could feel the prickle of sweat across her brow, these two were making her uncomfortable and she wanted nothing more than for this interview to be over.

Kisuke squeezed her hand once more, harder this time before pulling from her grip. She felt the heavy plastic being placed in her hand and without much thought, she covered it with her fingers, pressing her fingertips along the trigger. It was a small taser, she realized.

With another bow and a nod of the head the two policemen stood from the table. Kisuke grabbed the taser from her before he joined the two men at the door. It took Lily a moment to realize what he was doing. He was giving them physical evidence, a taser that now held her fingerprints. Lily turned her gaze away from the door, holding in the sob that wanted to break free from her chest-where had this man been eight months ago? Why couldn't she have found him sooner in life?

Lily heard the slide of the door being closed and turned her head to look. Kisuke turned to face her, frowning at the sight of her silent tears.

"Do you think they will request any of my records from the U.S. Embassy?" Lily whispered.

Kisuke shook his head, closing the distance between them, he took the cushion next to her again.

"They won't have a reason to. I gave them everything they will need for this situation. I am guessing something like this happened before, something you couldn't explain and the authorities were not very nice about it?" Kisuke asked.

Lily half-laughed, half cried.

"They wanted to diagnose me as a paranoid schizophrenic. There was a man who was stalking me, I noticed it one night after coming home from a late dinner with my boyfriend at the time. I didn't think anything of it. Maybe he was waiting for someone in another apartment, right?" Lily shook her head before continuing.

"I kept seeing him, every night for almost three weeks. It wasn't until the Monday of the fourth week that he tried to follow me into my building. I ran. I ran so fast I made it to my apartment in time to unlock the door and get inside. I called the cops. They came out, searched, but nothing was there. They couldn't see anyone. They asked my neighbors, and of course, they didn't know anything…" Lily croaked.

Kisuke lifted his arm, wrapping it around her shoulders and bringing her close to him. Lily allowed her cheek to rest against the exposed skin of his chest.

"Did he ever make it inside your apartment?" Kisuke whispered.

Lily nodded, more tears falling down her cheeks.

"He broke in. Two weeks later. He had only followed me to find out what apartment I lived in. I was so stupid, I didn't think about that. I just went inside like any other night. My boyfriend wasn't in town, he'd gone away on business, so I was alone. He was waiting for me in my bedroom…" Lily whispered, her body trembling at the memory.

Kisuke allowed his eyes to close as he changed his grip on her, using both of his arms to hold her close as he rocked her from side to side. It was hard to hear her explain it all, but he needed to know the reason she ran. Why she had felt the need to drop her life and move to another country. Why she was hiding her powers.

"What happened then?" Kisuke forced himself to stay calm, to just ask the questions that needed to be asked.

"I panicked. I started to scream, I threw shit at his head. He came at me, for what, I could only guess. I ran for the kitchen, thinking I needed a knife, something to protect myself with. He tripped me and I fell on the living room floor. He went to grab at me and the next thing I knew I felt a tingling sensation running down my arms, a sharp heat on my fingertips. I grabbed at the rug, thinking that maybe he had thrown something on my hands, but, sparks had already manifested and I caught the rug on fire." Lily explained, closing her eyes.

"Let me guess. After seeing that his victim had the ability to manipulate electric current with her hands, the coward ran off." Kisuke sighed.

"Yep." Lily sniffed, lifting her left hand to wipe at her nose.

"The police didn't believe that he was in my house. They thought I set the fire because I was hallucinating. I was kicked out of the building and detained for a full mental health review. I spent two weeks in the mental ward of a hospital with doctors telling me I needed medication. When I was released, I ditched the medication, emptied my bank account, cashed in my 401K and went into the country for a while. My grandmother's old house." Lily continued.

"Would it make you feel better if I told you I don't think your crazy?" Kisuke smiled, rubbing his cheek against the top of her head.

Lily laughed through her tears, her heart filling with the heat of joy while still stinging with the shards of sorrow. Who this man was, she didn't know, but a part of her really didn't care. He knew! He knew and he didn't think she was a freak of nature, or some kind of monster, he believed her!

"I'm also guessing this so called boyfriend of yours didn't do much to stick up for you, am I right?" Kisuke pressed.

"Hit the nail on the head, who wants a crazy girlfriend, after all…" Lily snorted.

"You're not crazy, Lily Davis. If you're crazy, then that would make me crazy too, am I'm actually rather sane and highly intelligent." Kisuke smirked.

Lily paused, pulling her head away from his chest in order to look up at his face. The stupid hat still had him in shadow, so in an act of what could be called childish agitation, she flicked it off his head, sending it to the floor.

Kisuke smiled.

"Glad you didn't decide to burn it, I'm rather fond of that old thing…" Kisuke teased.

"Are you trying to tell me you have power like this too?" Lily pressed, her wide brown eyes searching his grey.

"Like yours? Not exactly…" Kisuke hedged, not sure if it would be wise to share everything about himself. He knew it was selfish of him to keep things from her, but, she was a human with what he suspected was a Fullbring. He on the other hand was a former exiled god of death who created technology that almost wiped out the soul society. Some things needed to be taken in with small doses.

"Do you not want to talk about you, then?" Lily asked, pulling her body from his embrace. Kisuke could tell by her body language that he had somehow hurt her feelings. It wasn't that he didn't want to, it was that he wasn't sure she would like the answers he gave her. She was in her mid-thirties. What would she think when she found out he was over six hundred years old?

"It's not that I don't want to talk about it, Lily. Some things are probably better left unsaid. The important thing is, I believe you and I would like to help you." Kisuke offered, hoping that would be enough to sooth her for now.

Lily sighed heavily.

"I guess if you were going to hurt me you wouldn't have bothered to help me in the first place. What do you know about this stuff? What's wrong with me?" She rambled.

"Wrong? I wouldn't put it in those terms. It doesn't have to have a negative stigma. All you need is to learn how to control it and you won't have any problems." Kisuke smiled.

"Control it? But what about all this negativity that surrounds me? Stalkers and thugs trying to rob me and shit." Lily pressed.

"That I'm not too sure about…yet." Kisuke answered honestly.

Lily nodded again, her gaze seeming to search the room as she thought. Kisuke watched her, fascinated by the way she held herself. True, she had broken down in his arms, but that was a perfectly natural reaction given the experiences she had lived through. Kisuke tilted his head, trying to watch her face fully. He wished she wouldn't have pulled away from him, but again, natural reaction when the so called friend doesn't wish to share his own dark secrets-maybe some day soon, Lily Davis.

"Thank you. For your help and for listening to me. I guess I didn't realize how much of a burden it is to keep emotions like this locked up inside." Lily spoke lowly, her gaze locking on anything but him.

Kisuke leaned forward, bringing his hand up to her cheek and caressing the flushed skin gently.

"It was my pleasure, Lily." Kisuke whispered.

Lily allowed her gaze to meet his, her lips lifting into a reluctant smile. She wasn't sure what it was about the mysterious man, but, she somehow knew he was trustworthy. He was also too damn attractive! It really wouldn't do her any favors to act on the impulse to kiss him. What would she look like leaning in and taking something so personal from this man? He was a flirt, that was obvious, but she still wasn't sure if that was just a part of his personality.

Kisuke chuckled, letting his hand fall from her cheek before turning his attention back to the table, fighting the urge to lean in and take a taste of her lips. She had just been crying her heart out, her emotions were too raw to make such a move-A move I shouldn't make, even if she isn't a simple human. She needs time to adjust to her new life, and time to understand her own genetic makeup. Kisuke sat up straighter, clearing his throat before he spoke.

"Would it be safe to assume that you trust me enough to collect a sample of your blood?"

Lily blinked at him, her lips parted as she contemplated his question. Did she trust him enough? Wait-why would he need a sample of her blood? He wasn't a doctor…

"W-why would you want to do that?" She asked.

"You see. I'm also a man of science, as well as a shop keeper. I'm an inventor as well as a man who understands the simple biology of living organisms, human and otherwise. I won't deny that you've peaked my interest." Kisuke tried to explain.

"Peaked your interest? So, what, you want to study me like I'm some kind of lab monkey?" Lily pressed, her brow furrowing.

Kisuke half-laughed, shaking his head.

"You're much too pretty to be compared to a lab monkey; but in a way, I guess you've made your point. I was too brash, and I understand why you are hesitant. I have…experience…for lack of a better term with things most people would call…Unusual." Kisuke retorted.

"Okay, you're kind of creeping me out a little…" Lily admitted, her nervous laughter an attempt at lightening the mood between them.

Kisuke took the hint, deciding to drop the subject. There was plenty of time to gain her trust and eventually, she would drive herself crazy seeking out the answers she couldn't find alone. It was only a matter of time and she would come to him on her own terms. Even with him being purposely vague about his experiences, she was curious and that was enough for now.

"Would you care for some more tea? Maybe something to eat? I haven't had dinner yet and it's getting close to that time." Kisuke offered

Lily blinked once more, shaking her head with confusion as she turned to look out the window. It was after dusk already, now dark outside-Shit! When did that happen? Now I have to walk home in the dark!

"No?" Kisuke pursed his lips as he looked over at her.

"I didn't realize it was so late…" Lily whispered.

"I am sure Tessai and Ururu wouldn't mind a guest for dinner. We ordered some take out tonight. I was in the mood for some Soba. Have you tried that yet?" Kisuke smiled, propping his cheek on his right hand as he leaned on the table.

"I Haven't. It was on my list though…" Lily smiled back, thinking that it might not be a bad idea to accept dinner, it would put off her having to walk at night back to her apartment for a little bit longer, and honestly, after the afternoon she had, she didn't want to be alone.

" Well then, there's no time like the present. Shall we?" Kisuke asked before pushing himself to his feet and reaching his hand down to her.

Lily couldn't help but laugh as she accepted his hand and he hauled her to her feet. The strength in his movement caused her feet to trip over themselves, which made her fall against him.

"Sorry! I don't know why I'm being so clumsy…" Lily sighed.

"If you wanted another hug, all you had to do was ask…" Kisuke half-teased her, wrapping his arms around her back, pulling her in tight. Lily allowed it, bringing her own arms around him, giving in to the comfort he offered. Kisuke lowered his head, his lips grazing the top of her left ear as he spoke.

" In fact, that doesn't stop with just hugs. If you ever need anything, anything at all, all you have to do is ask."

"I'll keep that in mind…" Lily answered, her breathy voice betraying her reaction to his closeness. She shouldn't be feeling so drawn to a man who had refused to tell her anything personal about himself.

Yet, here she was, hanging on him like he was a lifeline. Lily barley knew him,but she was on the verge of throwing all caution to the wind. One small move of her head would bring his lips in line with hers, one heartbeat, one breath and she would know what his mouth tasted like.

The sound of the door sliding open forced Lily to come back to reason. She didn't jump out of his arms as if they had been doing something wrong, which she was grateful for, instead they slowly parted and turned to face the open door.

"Food's here, Boss. I ordered extra for our guest." The large man announced.

Kisuke nodded, turning to face her, his grey eyes lit with a knowing gleam, as if he had somehow been aware of her inner thoughts. His gaze made her mouth run a little dry, and it was in that moment, Lily understood that the attraction was far from one sided.

"Ready for your first Soba?" Kisuke asked her, his voice coming out with the same carefree tone, all business as usual while his gaze seemed to project his desire to eat her for dinner instead of some noodles.

"O-okay..." Lily managed to breathe the answer, allowing him to take her hand in his and guide her back into the hallway.

It didn't take Lily long to understand there was a larger dining area within the back of the shop and for the first time, she wondered if they all lived in the building. Was this their home as well as a workplace? Did Ururu live here as well? Who was she to the two men? She didn't resemble either of them, so she didn't think they were blood relation.

Lily kept her questions to herself, feeling a little raw after her own emotional outburst. It had felt good to let it all out, but the other half of her felt a bit embarrassed about the whole situation. Not to mention sightly annoyed with both herself and the man sitting across from her. Ururu placed a large bowl in front of her and a steaming cup of fresh green tea.

"Thank you." Lily offered, getting a small smile and a nod from the young woman. Lily had to bite her cheek to keep from asking any questions. She was a guest, and it would be rude to open her mouth and start gushing her curiosity. The phrase curiosity killed the cat was probably something she should take more to heart, Lily mused.

Kisuke paused at the front door allowing Lily to step ahead of him. Lily smiled up at him and walked the few steps out onto the sidewalk outside the back entrance of Urahara Shop. Kisuke had spent the better part of twenty minutes trying to convince the woman walking her home wouldn't be any sort of inconvenience for him.

It seemed Lily Davis had a bit of a stubborn streak, but as always, he'd managed to sway her to his side for the moment. While dinner had started out silent and a little awkward, he had been pleased to see Ururu take initiative and begin a conversation with Lilly, asking her questions about America and the differences between the two countries.

Lily had been rather forthcoming with her answers, which had only charmed Kisuke even more. He swore he could listen to the woman talk all night and a big part of him wanted those conversations to take place in his bed after many other activities.

It was strange to him, feeling the connection they shared should have him back peddling, trying to put up walls in order to protect them both, yet, he found that with each passing minute, he wasn't so sure a relationship between them wouldn't work. The real question was whether or not Lily could handle what he was. She seemed to be a woman with a curious nature, but that didn't mean she wasn't judgemental.

A part of him didn't want to believe she would reject him just because he wasn't human, but, the logical part of his brain warned him not to be too trusting. After all, it was more than just himself he had to think about. He had Tessai, other soul reapers who came by the shop from time to time. Their was also Ichigo and Orihime, Uryu, and Chad. So many others that had to be thought of as well.

"Thank you for dinner, Kisuke." Lily spoke softly pulling him from his mental rambling. He winced internally, realizing they had been walking in what probably appeared to be awkward silence for her.

"It was no problem. We enjoyed having you." Kisuke offered, keeping his tone pleasant.

"I was surprised to hear that you and Tessai took in Ururu and her brother Jinta. I wouldn't have pegged you two for the foster dad type." Lily continued.

"Ah, well. I'm sure most people would agree with you. Two single men living inside a candy shop probably doesn't seem like the best environment, but, those two turned out rather well if I do say so myself." Kisuke laughed.

Lily smiled, bumping his arm with her shoulder playfully. The action made his smile widen, he never would have thought the fact he'd taken in the kids would one day be a positive in a woman's eyes, but he was happy she thought so. Although, there was a lot more to the story than met the eye. Ururu wasn't just a simple human woman, she had powers of her own.

"I have a feeling I would be surprised by a lot about you, if given the chance to learn more." Lily countered.

"Oh, I'm sure you would be." Kisuke half-laughed internally mocking himself for being just a bit of a coward. How was he supposed to know where this would go if he was too chicken to reveal anything about himself?

"Would you be willing to take those chances?" Kisuke blurted, not wanting to sound like he was coming on too strong, but also wanting to know if she were even interested, it was one thing to think about it, another to actually hear it.

"Are you asking me if I would be interested in getting to know you better?" Lily asked.

"I am." Kisuke answered.

Lily turned to face him, pausing on the sidewalk to look up at him. Her face was cast in shadow from the street light and he knew she wouldn't be able to see much of his face now that he'd put his hat back on, but, he was pretty sure she was looking straight into his eyes.

"I hope I don't end up regretting this; but yes, I would be interested, and not just because you said you could help me with…well…you know…" Lily sighed.

"I hope I won't give you a reason to regret it. I don't want to be a complication for you. I would just like to see where this may lead. I sense that we share an attraction to one another. Is there really any harm in two consenting adults seeing where that takes them?" Kisuke smiled.

"Has anyone ever told you that you have a silver tongue?" Lily grinned.

"Hmm. No, I think you may be the first to put it that way. Although, silver tongued devil does have a certain ring to it." Kisuke teased.

Lily laughed, turning her gaze forward as they walked down the sidewalk. City lights illuminated the area every few feet giving the spring night an almost magical feel. The blooms of flowers scented the air around them adding the that magic. For the first time in a long time, Lily felt like she could actually catch her breath. She wasn't alone in her secret anymore. It almost felt like she had an ally in Kisuke. Like he was someone she could really trust, not only with her secrets, but with everything. Still, the feeling was new to her and she shouldn't jump ahead of herself.

"What would you say to dinner on Friday night?" Kisuke offered, breaking the silence between them.

Lily turned her head, looking up into his shadowed face once more, she couldn't help but smile.

"Like tonight, or just the two of us?" Lily asked.

Kisuke shrugged his broad shoulders, bringing her attention back to his body. The man really was nice to look at. Blonde, grey eyed, tall. He had a good sense of humor. All in all, he seemed like the complete package, what more could a woman ask for? Somehow, Lily couldn't help but ask the internal question. "What's the catch?" What am I not seeing about him, or am I just being paranoid?

"Either way. If you would like Tessai and Ururu to join us, I'm sure they wouldn't mind." Kisuke answered.

"What would you prefer?" Lily pressed, wanting to see if he would admit wanting to be alone with her.

" Well, if you want the honest truth, I would prefer to be alone with you. I know I disappointed you earlier when I wasn't very forthcoming about my knowledge of your situation." Kisuke replied.

Lily nodded before continuing.

"Are you offering to be more forthcoming then?"

Kisuke out a breath, pausing on the sidewalk in order to turn and face her. Lily stopped, facing him, her brown eyes searching his face for some kind of clue.

"I'm just now realizing how difficult it must have been for you to admit what you did today. I find myself wondering why you would agree to trust someone who wasn't able to return the favor. You see, I'm kind of lost inside my own head most days. Sometimes I forget that connecting with someone else is a two way street." Kisuke tried to explain.

Lily smirked, allowing her gaze to lower, taking in his sheepish expression. The man seemed so carefree to the untrained eyes, but she was starting to realize there was more to him than that playful banter. He really was a man of intelligence, and intelligence would warn someone to be a little bit cautious, especially when one wasn't used to intimate conversations.

"You haven't been in a relationship for a long time, have you?" Lily wondered aloud.

Kisuke half-laughed.

"A true romantic relationship? I can't say that I've had many…" Kisuke answered honestly.

"Well, I told you how my last one ended…" Lily reminded him.

Kisuke nodded, his brow furrowing. Lily didn't like the fact he wasn't smiling down at her now, instead his mood at turned more thoughtful, almost somber.

"I'm sorry about that. Truly, if he really cared for you he would have been there, regardless of what the doctor's tried to tell him. If it would have been me, I would have fought to get you released into my care. I wouldn't have abandoned you to fight something like that alone." Kisuke began to ramble.

Lily placed her hand on his bicep, pulling his attention from the subject of conversation and towards something more physical. Kisuke couldn't help but stare down at her mouth. Without much thought he lifted his right hand and brushed his fingertips along her jawline, enjoying the sound of her intake of breath.

"A part of me wishes that you would have been a part of my life then." Lily admitted, risking sounding like an idiot.

"I'd like to be a part of your life now." Kisuke whispered, letting his fingertips caress the soft skin of her cheek.

"I think I'd like that…" Lily replied, her voice low and breathy.

Kisuke smiled fully, allowing his touch to change, cupping her chin in his palm, he caressed her lower lip with the pad of his thumb.

"Tell me, would I get shocked if I tried to kiss you?" Kisuke asked, leaning his body in closer.

Lily couldn't help but laugh, the question sounding so absurd, yet, it left her feeling connected to him in a way she'd never imagined. He knew about it, and he wasn't running in the opposite direction, instead it seemed to fuel some sort of fascination.

"I think I can keep it under control long enough." Lily answered.

Kisuke closed the space between them, taking Lily by surprise when his lips didn't connect with hers directly. Instead, he tilted his head, pressing a whisper soft kiss to the left side of her mouth first, then repeating the move on her right. The soft tease of his lips caused a strange sensation to run down her spine.

Lily had never had a man take the time to tease her. Normally they would just go right in for the goods, as if a kiss were just merely a means to an end, a kind of chore to get over with before the good stuff started, but Kisuke seemed to be of a whole new breed of male. His soft lips moved to hover above her own, his hooded eyes locking with hers, that gleam from earlier shining through the shadows.

Lily panted, her lips parting partly from surprise, but also from sheer excitement. She wanted the pressure of his mouth on hers even more than before. Kisuke had tipped her world on its axis by simply doing the unexpected.

"Kisuke…" Lily murmured his name, waiting for the full taking, the anticipation almost too much, making her shift her stance closer to him. Lily lifted her arms, wrapping them around his waist. Kisuke lifted both hands to her cheeks, cupping her between large palms. Their eyes locked for the briefest seconds before he finally covered her lips with his.

Lips parted, breath hot and spicy, he sipped at her mouth slowly, intently. Pulling her bottom lip between his, Kisuke nipped before pulling back and sweeping his mouth over hers fully once more. Lily squirmed a little, craving more, wanting to feel the heat of his tongue, to taste him completely. -Good god, if this is what it's like to be kissed by Kisuke Urahara, what would it be like to make love with him?

Just as the thought sprang into her mind, she felt the tip of his tongue lick the seam of her lips. Lily gasped, opening wider for him and he obliged her, by sliding deep, sweeping his tongue slowly against hers. He tilted his head to gain better access as he took more. Sealing his mouth over hers, he took her breath, pulling it into his own lungs. Lily's hands drifted higher, taking hold of his shoulders in a desperate attempt not to fall to the ground. Kisuke pulled his tongue back, taking the time to caress against her teeth, her inner cheek, the roof of her mouth, he tasted every part of her he could.

Lily felt him chuckle against her mouth before nipping her top lip with light pressure. Lily could only moan, her senses flooded with his scent, his taste, the heat from his muscled body. Who knew a kiss could have so many sensations? Her mind felt dazed, never in her life had she ever experienced such a rush of full body arousal, and it was from just a kiss.

"Wow…" Lily breathed against his lips, her cheeks flushed deep pink from her own desire. She was two seconds away from inviting her to spend the night with her when he pulled back from her slowly. His grey eyes looking down on her with such intensity.

"I think I kinda like that reaction…" Kisuke teased her.

Lily laughed, turning the moment into something less intense but still delicious. She didn't what to make of him, he was such a mystery, one she wanted to figure out, her curious mind would have a field day with a man like him. Well, if he would get over his aversion to sharing information about himself.

"Come on, Ms. Davis. I better get you home before my sneaky brain thinks of something else." Kisuke continued his flirtation while taking her hand in his and turning them back in the direction of her apartment.

The tension between them eased as they walked together down the street. Kisuke turned to her, a soft smile on his lips.

"What is it you do for work, anyway?" He asked.

Lily smiled back, unable to help herself, she felt…happy…for the first time in a long time.

"I'm a receptionist at a local clinic." Lily answered.

Kisuke's steps slowed a little, his grey eyes narrowing as he studied her face.

"Kurosaki Clinic, by chance?" Kisuke continued.

Lily blinked up at him, trying to keep her stride and not stumble.

"How did you know that?" Lily whispered.

"Just a hunch. I figured there was so such going on, there might as well be a coincidence."

"Coincidence?" Lily repeated.

"I've known Ichigo for many years. In fact, I've known him since he was a teenager. I'm a friend of the family, you could say." Kisuke admitted.

Lily shook her head, blowing out a breath-what were the chances?

"Wait…since he was a teenager? He's not that much younger than I am, how old are you?" Lily blurted.

Kisuke winced, lifting his free hand to the back of his neck.

"Older than I look, I'm afraid." Kisuke dodged the true answer.

Lily just shook her head again. Something about this was beginning to feel surreal. What were the chances that she would be interested in man who was a "family friend" to her new boss?

"Would me being older than you be a problem?" Kisuke asked, trying to take a little control over the conversation, to test the waters a little more before he made a mistake of giving up too much information.

Lily shrugged her shoulders.

"No. I mean, I find you attractive, you don't look like you're too much older than me." Lily answered.

"I see." Kisuke nodded, licking his lips before turning to face her once more.

"There are a lot of things about me that I should probably tell you, if we are going to continue seeing each other romantically, that is." Kisuke stated.

Lily tipped her head back, meeting his gaze head on, her brow furrowing as she studied his serious face. It was the most serious she had yet to see his expression and it left her feeling a little…cold.

"Y-you know my secret. Is it any worse?" Lily whispered.

"That all depends..." Kisuke half-laughed.

Lily tilted her head, watching his face turn from serious to almost sheepish. Lily couldn't help the laugh that bloomed in her chest. This conversation seemed a bit ridiculous to her. She could spark electricity from her fingers, who the hell was she to judge him for whatever it was he could do?

"Honestly, I don't think I care…" Lily blurted, meeting his gaze.

Kisuke allowed his shoulders to relax as he looked into her soft brown eyes. Lily Davis was one of a kind, that was for sure. Any other human woman would look at him with mistrust after his blunder of words, yet, she was looking up at him with perfect trust.

"Tomorrow night, then? We will have dinner together and after that, you can drill me with as many questions as you can think of. I don't want to wait until the end of the week." Kisuke smiled.

Lily laughed.

"You might end up regretting that!"

Kisuke chuckled, feeling a sense of relief, this could have gone either way for him and it seemed that for once in his long life, something was going in his favor. Could it be that after all this time, he might have found someone he could truly be with? Would Lily really accept him for what he was? Only time would tell, and for the first time in all the years he had posed as a human, he was willing to take the risk.

Lilly sighed, looking down at the computer screen in front of her. It was a slow day at the office. A couple walk-in's for minor injuries and one actual scheduled appointment for a yearly physical. For a Wednesday, it was pretty boring. Lily knew it was because she had plans with Kisuke later. Why else would the day crawl by, each hour feeling like it was three.

Lily turned her head, looking down the hallway and smiled. She could hear Ichigo talking with his wife, the two of them having a late lunch together in his office. They were the cutest couple. Their son was adorable, and she enjoyed working for such a loving family.

The door to Ichigo's office opened and Orihime stepped out, Ichigo following her down the hall. Lily wasn't trying to ease drop or be nosy, but they just looked so happy it was hard to pull her gaze from them. Ichigo leaned into her, his hands grasping her by the hips before he pressed a kiss to her mouth. Lily felt her chest squeeze at the gesture of affection. It also made her think about the kiss she had shared with Kisuke.

How much did Ichigo know about the Shop keeper? Lily shook her head and turned away from the couple in the hallway. She was sure if they knew she was able to see them they wold both be embarrassed. They seemed to be the type of couple who kept their affection private.

Letting out a sigh, Lily looked down at her half eaten lunch. The sandwich she had ordered had sounded good at the time, but she had only managed to eat half. Her nerves were the problem, she admitted, glancing back down at the clock to see how much time had crawled by. It was only two in the afternoon! She had another three hours here and she had pretty much done everything she could think of. There wasn't anymore paperwork to do, the phone was silent and she was becoming restless.

Lily had agreed to meet up with Kisuke at six, just enough time to walk over to the shop. He had been a gentlemen for the rest of their walk home, well, a flirtatious gentlemen, walking her up into her apartment with a hand on her lower back. Such a simple gesture, yet, it had sent the most delicious heat thrumming through her veins. Lily wasn't sure why she felt such attraction to him, but it had been a long time since a man had made her feel elated at the thought of seeing him again. If she were being truly honest with herself, she'd never felt this excited to see a man.

Was she moving too fast? Lily bit her bottom lip as she scooted closer to the computer in front of her, she didn't want to look down the hallway, just in case Ichigo and Orihime were still sharing their private moment. As her thoughts turned inward, Lily stewed. Was she going to let things go further than the other night? Would he want to take things further? Would he kiss her again? Was a kiss all he wanted? Gah! She was being stupid! Acting like some love sick teenager when she was a grown ass woman. Why was it that a man could make a woman feel so fluttery inside? Did they have the same sensation, or was it more of a primal edge?

Kisuke sure did seem confident in his actions, his speech, even his flirtation. The only thing she sensed he wasn't confident in was her reaction to is secrets. Lily had spent a good portion of the night tossing and turning in her bed, partly due to unfulfilled lust and her brooding on what the man could possibly be hiding? She had the power to manipulate electric current from her fingertips at will. Well, so far it was just through her hands. She really hadn't tried to manifest it on any other part of her body, and each time she had managed to use the power, she had been under duress. Was it a protective mechanism then?

Lily sighed heavily, lifting her hand to her forehead and rubbing. She felt tired and wired at the same time. Full of so many questions, some hesitation and a whole lot of impulsiveness. Lily wasn't quite sure what she would do if the night turned out to be more physical. She wasn't a prude by any means, she was a healthy woman in her thirties and knew there wasn't anything wrong with taking a man to bed if the moment felt right. Would it feel right? Would he want that?

"You seem to be thinking about something pretty hard. Everything okay, Lily?" Ichigo asked, breaking the cycle of Lily's mind. The hamster wheel of "What If's" that always plagued her.

"Yeah! I'm fine! I guess I just spaced out for a minute…" Lily laughed, bringing her attention back to her boss.

"It's fine. You sure everything is okay?" Ichigo pressed, his honey brown eyes locking with hers, making her squirm a little in her chair. Would she be a horrible person if she asked him about Kisuke? Would that be prying?

"I-I just have a date later on tonight. Kind of nervous." she admitted, smiling up at him.

"A date? Oh, well, I guess that explains the look on your face." Ichigo half-laughed.

"She did look like she was daydreaming." Orihime smiled, and Lily realized the couple must have been standing there studying her for quite a while. Well, that was a little embarrassing.

"I'm sure you have nothing to be nervous about. Who's the lucky guy?" Ichigo asked, his eyes showing simple curiosity. Lily knew he wasn't the type of guy to pry, but he did have a bit of a protective streak. It was kind of sweet, and one reason why Lily had kept the events of yesterday to herself.

Lily had no doubt that if Ichigo knew of her being followed from work Ichigo would insist on taking her home every evening, and he had a family of his own to worry about. No sense in making the sweet couple worry about her. She was a magnet, after all.

"I've been acquainted with him for a while now. He actually owns a Candy shop not too far from here…" Lily smiled.

Orihime blinked at her for a second, then a wide smile spread across her lips, her hands lifting to her chest to rest against her heart.

"You mean, Urahara Shop!?" She practically squealed.

Lily couldn't help the laugh that escaped her.

"That's the one." Lily answered, moving her gaze to Ichigo.

Ichigo stood, his brow furrowed and his gaze locked on her face. The expression made a shiver run up her spine. This didn't look like a positive reaction…

"Kisuke Urahara? That's who you have a date with?" Ichigo asked, his voice soft, but his eyes seemed to be a little guarded now, like he had closed off a part of himself from her. Normally Ichigo was so care free, relaxed and thoughtful, but this version seemed a little…hard.

"Y-yes. I-is that a problem?" Lily blurted before really thinking about it, why was she asking her boss his permission to date someone?

"No. No problem. No problem at all." Ichigo forced a smile, but his eyes held a glint she wasn't used to, it was almost as if he'd just found out his little sister was dating someone he didn't approve of.

"Mr. Urahara is a very nice man. I have always been fond of him. I am happy that the two of you made a connection." Orihime beamed, turning her gaze to her husband.

"Isn't it great, Ichigo? We've known Mr. Urahara for so long, it's nice to see him with someone we know." Orihime continued, making Ichigo look over at her, his body relaxing as some kind of unspoken conversation seemed to take place between them. With just a glance at one another, they had come to some kind of agreement.

"Yeah, You're right. It is pretty nice to know he's with someone we can trust." Ichigo smiled down at his wife.

But the comment sent another shiver up Lily's spine. Who the hell had she agreed to date? The two of them were making it sound like she'd inadvertently agreed to date some underground kingpin or something. Was that his secret? Was Kisuke a criminal? Maybe the shop was a front and he really sold drugs or something?

"Well, it's pretty slow around here. If you would like to take off early, you're more than welcome to." Ichigo offered, his gaze soft once more.

"I think I'll take you up on that." Lily agreed, her brow furrowing with worry. Screw meeting up with Kisuke at six! She needed answers now! Before she could take one more step in the direction she had been heading, Lily needed to understand him. No more mystery, but clean solid understanding, and if she didn't like what she was told, she could break it off before either of them ended up hurt.

"Have a good time, Lily!" Orihime smiled at her as she blindly grabbed her messenger bag and sweater.

"Thank you, Orihime. I hope I will." Lily mumbled as she walked passed the couple and headed out onto the main sidewalk. Just like she had the day before. Only this time, she wasn't being followed by a group of thugs, no, she was too busy begging the universe not to take away the small shred of happiness she had managed to grasp. Please, Please, Please, don't let him be a criminal!

Kisuke looked up at the entry way to the Shop, his lips dipping into a frown. Lily stood in the doorway, her cheeks flushed and her brow scrunched up in what looked like worry. Kisuke stood to his feet, walking around the counter and closing the distance between them.

"Lily? Is everything okay?" Kisuke asked, his gaze searching her face.

"I-I got off work early. Is there any way that we could talk?" She whispered, meeting his gaze fully.

Kisuke felt his stomach drop at her question. Had something happened to make her change her mind? Why did she look so anxious? Had she mentioned something about him in passing to Ichigo? The thought wasn't a very pleasant one. But Lily was a woman of curiosity, so maybe she'd asked some questions and didn't like the answers?

"Of course. We can head into the back, we'll have privacy there." Kisuke answered, turning his body sideways and extending his arm. Lily walked forward, taking his invitation and even though she was temped to step out of his reach, she forced herself not to flinch when his large hand pressed into her lower back.

Lily kept silent, stepping into the personal living space she had felt so comfortable in the previous night and she didn't question him when he changed direction, leading her down a dimly lit hallway towards the back of the building. Kisuke stopped at a set of doors and pushed them open before allowing her to walk ahead of him.

Lily paused in the middle of the room, realizing it was a bedroom. His bedroom. A large futon sat in the middle of the room, two end tables framing the headboard. It was clean, and the space was filled with a spicy scent. His scent. Was he planning on seducing her now!?

"You look like you've got a lot on your mind, I figured coming back here would be best. We won't get interrupted back here, but if you're not comfortable, we can go-" Kisuke tried to explain but was cut off abruptly.

"Are you a criminal?" Lily blurted, her wide brown eyes meeting his gaze as she spun around to face him.

Kisuke smirked down at her, his grey eyes once again hidden in shadow underneath his hat. Why the man still looked so appealing even under speculation was beyond her comprehension. Lily wanted to reach out for him, to hold his face between her hands and beg him not to disappoint her.

"A criminal? What would make you come up with that assumption?" Kisuke smiled, keeping his tone light. Deep down he really wasn't surprised, he was mysterious for a reason, a soul reaper had to stay cautious after all.

"Please, Kisuke. Just answer the question…" Lily pressed, her eyes sliding closed as if bracing for impact.

"Okay then. No. At least, not in the way that has you so worried." Kisuke answered.

Lily opened her eyes and frowned up at him in confusion.

"What kind of answer it that?" She retorted.

Kisuke shrugged his broad shoulders his smile still on his lips.

"As far as human law's go, I am not guilty of breaking any of them." Kisuke replied.

"H-Human law's?" Lily breathed, taking a step back from him.

"That's what you came here to find out, wasn't it? What it is about me that has you so uneasy? You look a little conflicted, Lily. " Kisuke continued, his smile fading and his expression turning serious.

"Can you blame me for being apprehensive? I told you everything yesterday…" Lily began.

Kisuke took a step forward, reaching out and taking her hand in his allowing his thumb to rub against her knuckles lightly. Lily didn't know what to think about her body and it's reaction to such a simple touch, a touch meant to comfort, and it was making her tremble. Or, was that fear? She really couldn't tell, this man had an intensity unlike any other when his gaze was direct.

"What was it that made you think the worst of me, Lily? I thought I left you feeling rather, excited." Kisuke whispered, stepping even closer into her body space, not allowing for her to back away from him now.

Lily felt her breath come out sharply as his heat surrounded her, his large body coming to stand right up against hers. He was so intense! His stance looking almost challenging as he squared his shoulders. The grip on her hand stayed gentle, only confusing her further. Was he mad at her or not? She couldn't read him and she was starting to understand that he didn't want her to.

"I-I mentioned I had a date at work. Ichigo asked who I was seeing. If you know him as well as you said you do, you understand he is protective of the people he cares for." Lily whispered.

"I see. So you asked him questions about me rather than waiting for tonight?" Kisuke asked.

Lily shook her head and licked her lips, starting to feel a bit like a cornered animal, yet, she didn't feel panicked, just…nervous.

"I didn't ask anything about you. It was the look he gave me when I told him your name. Orihime seemed happy about it, overjoyed really, but Ichigo looked almost…disapproving…" Lily admitted.

Kisuke let out a low chuckle leaning his body in closer. Lily held her breath as his hand released hers only to reach up and cup the side of her jaw.

"Ask me, Lily…" Kisuke whispered against her lips, making her knees feel wobbly.

Lily reached up, taking hold of his Kimono in order to keep upright. He was seconds away from turning her into a puddle at his feet. The attraction she felt for him overriding any sense of apprehension.

"Wh-who are you, Kisuke Urahara?" Lily breathed.

"The answer to that question has many layers, Lily." Kisuke sighed, taking a step back from her and meeting her gaze.

"How much do you know about the so called super-natural?" Kisuke began, stepping away from her entirely and walking towards the large futon.

Lily's lips parted, her mouth growing dry as she watched him take a seat on the end of the bed, stretching his long legs out in front of him while he reclined back onto his elbows. The position was almost subliminal, it spoke to her in a way she didn't understand, almost like he was daring her to come and take what she really wanted from him.

"I-I don't know very much. I guess about the same as any average person. I did try and look up physical manifestations in humans, such as fire-starting, or telekinesis. I thought if I searched there I might find something about myself. In the end, I started to fear that maybe the doctor was right…maybe I am…unstable." Lily sighed.

"You're not unstable, Lily Davis. You, and this is just my personal opinion, are what is referred to as a Fullbringer." Kisuke stated with such conviction she had to blink at him.

"What the hell is a Fullbringer? And why are we talking about me again!?" Lily snapped, realizing he had taken her off her main path.

Kisuke smirked.

"Just trying to see how easy it is to distract you. Can't blame me for trying, can you?"

"Kisuke…" Lily sighed his name, bringing her hand up to her forehead as if pained.

Kisuke pushed himself into a sitting position, resting his elbows on his knees as he leaned forward.

"I know about what you are because of what I am. This isn't going to make much sense to you, but I'm a Soul Reaper, or, God of Death, if you want the most basic of explanations." Kisuke admitted, keeping his gaze averted from hers.

Lily paused, her lips parted as she studied his face. Was he joking? Trying to tease her? Lily shook her head slowly, realizing there was no humor in his features.

"W-what the hell does that mean? Do you collect soul's or something?" Lily pressed, trying to understand.

"No. Not in the way you would think. I'm here, in the human world because I was exiled for crimes that I did not commit over two hundred years ago." Kisuke countered, wanting the whole situation to be over with. It was becoming clear to him that he may have been a bit overzealous, he was sure that after this conversation was over, Lily Davis wouldn't be coming into his shop anymore.

"Two hundred years!?" Lily gaped at him, her eyes wide, not with fear, but filled with astonishment.

Kisuke straightened on the bed as he watched her walk over to him and sit down next to him. The action taking him by surprise. Kisuke had figured she would have fled the room after he'd confessed not being human, yet, here she was, sitting next to him with a dumbfounded expression on her face.

"Lily…" Kisuke began, fearing she had gone into shock.

Abruptly, she turned her head and met his gaze head on.

"Okay…break this down for me in human terms. Are you some kind of archangel?" She whispered, her breathing coming out in quick pants. Almost as if the thought excited her.

"Not exactly. You see this goes beyond the normal comprehension of human religious belief. I am from another dimension, a place called the Soul Society." Kisuke answered, tilting his head to study her face.

"Wait…other dimensions actually exist?" Lily whispered, meeting his gaze once more.

Kisuke felt his body tighten in reaction to her expression. She wasn't looking at him with nerves now, she was looking at him with such intense curiosity he couldn't help but smile down at her. She was full of surprises, and he couldn't help but feel relieved.

Lily wasn't running from him, she was here with him in the moment, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Like he had done for her, he realized. Of course, she wouldn't automatically call him a liar, she had power she couldn't explain inside her. She wasn't going to judge him the same way a normal every day human would. Deciding to let go of his own apprehension, he met her gaze and smiled.

"You see. The way the worlds are set up is like this; You have the Soul Society which would be the closest thing to the human realm of "heaven." It is where Soul's go when they pass on from the human world. They wait there, for the cycle of transmigration. Some of those soul's reach to a higher level of energy, so high that they become a being who lives at a higher frequency. With that higher frequency comes power. They are Soul Reapers, in charge of making sure human soul's are safely brought over." Kisuke began to explain in more detail.

"Okay…I think I'm following…" Lily nodded, encouraging him to continue.

Kisuke chuckled softly, feeling comfortable enough to take her hand in his. Lily didn't flinch or try to pull back and the trust she showed him in that moment made him want to kiss her all over again.

"There is another world, known as Hueco Mundo. That is where the Hollow's live. Another sub race between human and monster, they feed on the souls of human's and some human's even unintentionally turn into a Hollow. If a soul can not be safely guided into the Soul Society, sometimes, grief, anger, or fear can force the spirit to change, to take on the form of a monster. They lose all sense of humanity and become a Hollow." Kisuke explained.

"Holy shit…" Lily panted, turning her head to look at the wall in front of her, her mind reeling, trying to take in all the information.

"Y-you said you were exiled? What happened?" Lily asked, her gaze still ahead, but her hand tightened in his as if begging him not to try and dodge her question.

"I was accused of conducting hollowfication experiments. Experiments that combine the power of both a Soul Reaper and a Hollow in one being. I told you once before, I am a man of science, I have come up with many inventions and my reputation proceeded me among the other captain's. That's what I was, you see, The Captain of squad 12, research and development." Kisuke sighed before continuing.

"To make a very long story short, I was framed to take the fall of someone else's actions. That someone eventually revealed himself to be the real traitor and instigated a war unlike any the Soul Society had seen at the time. My name has been cleared of the charges since then, but I've become so comfortable with the life I've build here, I didn't have the desire to return to my world." Kisuke paused, looking over at her profile, hoping it would all make sense to someone unfamiliar with his world.

"I can't even imagine how that must have felt. To be exiled from your own world…" Lily whispered, turning her gaze back to his. Kisuke met her gaze.

"Don't you? You're own people were trying to convince you that you were mentally unstable because you possess a gift that they can't comprehend." Kisuke countered, his brow furrowing in what appeared to be annoyance. Annoyance on her behalf.

"I guess when you put it like that, I can relate to a certain extent. Still, I didn't have to leave my world, I just left the country." Lily countered.

"That still couldn't have been easy for you. To pick up and leave everything you've known. I understand how difficult that is." Kisuke countered.

Lily snorted, shaking her head as she thread her fingers with his. Her grip tightened on his hand and it took him a minute to understand she was trying to comfort him. The gesture warmed him, sending a rush of awareness through his tense body. He had been prepared to let everything he had hoped for go when she'd started demanding her answers. He hadn't given her enough credit it would seem. It didn't take a genius to figure out that trust was not something he gave freely.

"I feel kind of stupid now. Coming in here and demanding that you talk to me…" Lily sighed.

Kisuke stared back her, his lips parting in surprise.

"Lily, I expected you to leave without allowing me any real time for explanations." Kisuke admitted.

Lily shook her head, a small smile spreading across her lips. Kisuke stared into her eyes, watching as all the tension eased from her body. Lily leaned into him, nudging his shoulder with her own.

"You didn't leave me hanging when I told you about my secret, why would I do that to you? Is it hard to take in? Sure. Who wouldn't need some time to really process everything you've told me. I mean, you pretty much just told me you're over two hundred years old, and not…human." Lily admitted.

Kiskue winced, bringing his free hand up to cover the back of his neck, his cheeks flushing a slight pink. Lily tilted her head enthralled by the vision of the man blushing.

"I'm actually a little over six hundred years old, but, hey, I'm still young at heart…" Kisuke tried to tease her.

Lily's face paled, her mouth going a bit dry. Good lord! Over six hundred years old?

"Are you Immortal, then?" Lily whispered.

"No. I can still die. I just don't age the way a human does. Actually, I should tell you that in order to be seen by most human's I have to live inside something called a Gigai. I'm still flesh and blood, it's just a biologically altered shell that houses my soul within. Makes me as human as I will ever be." Kisuke smiled.

"Oh, wow. I don't…really know what to think about that…" Lily whispered, her gaze searching his face, then trailing down his shoulders and chest, all the way down to their linked hands once more.

"You don't feel any different than a human would. You're hand is warm, fingers a little rough, as if you work with your hands a lot, but, nothing strange…" Lily continued.

"I won't feel any different than any other human man you have touched. I just have a little bit more wisdom than they do. I've seen more and I've been around for a long time. Does my true age bother you, now that you know?" Kisuke asked, needing to understand her expectations. If she wanted to put a stop to the romantic aspects of their relationship, he would honor that decision.

Lily sighed, her eyes still searching him, drinking him in with each sweep, she seemed a little lost inside her own thoughts and that made him brace for the impact of rejection. It was hard having feelings for a human, seemed so strange that with a simple sentence the woman could crush all of his hopes, all of his good intentions. He liked her, he wanted to know more about her, and he wanted to touch her. He couldn't deny his attraction anymore than she could. It was simply, there.

"I think…as long as you don't try to patronize me or make me feel like a child, we'll be okay." Lily decided.

Kisuke chuckled.

"I can assure you those thoughts have never even crossed my mind. I look at you and I see a beautiful woman, Lily Davis." Kisuke smiled.

"That's reassuring, because when I look at you, all I see is a very handsome, intense man." Lily admitted, only she couldn't seem to hold his gaze as she did-Coward! The least you could do is look at the man when you give him a complement!

"Does my intensity bother you, Lily? I do try and hold it back at times, but I will admit, you've gotten the better of me on a couple occasions. I would never want to scare you, and I would never hurt you." Kisuke stated.

Lily met his gaze again, forcing herself to meet him half way, it wasn't easy for him either, she didn't know how she knew that, but deep down she could sense it. He was afraid of her rejection just as much as she was afraid of his. It was so surreal. What were the odds that she moved to a new country, only to find others with power? To find someone who knew why and how she had her own abilities…

"No. It doesn't bother me, honestly I think I like it." Lily blurted, her mind on auto pilot.

"Well then, I guess I don't have to hold myself back then, do I?" Kisuke smiled leaning his body closer to her. Lily sucked in a breath, her mind freezing as he dipped his head, pressing soft hot lips over hers. Lily didn't dare pull away from him, even though she hadn't been expecting his kiss, she would never allow herself to reject any part of him. He had saved her, he had lied to keep her protected, and he understood. Liking this man, hell, falling for this man wasn't a bad thing at all.

"Kisuke…" Lily mumbled against his lips.

"Hmm?"

"Have you ever, done this with a human before?" Lily asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.

"Nope." Kisuke answered simply.

Lily pulled back from his kiss, her brow furrowed.

"No?" She asked.

"No." Kisuke laughed, pulling her back in for another sultry sweep of his mouth.

Lily moaned, no longer able to hide how he made her feel. While she still had so many questions, her curiosity wasn't nearly sated on the subject, she knew she had plenty of time to grill him later. Right now it seemed the only thing that mattered was the connection between them. There was something there, like a live wire pulling them towards one another. So much heat filled with such erotic promise. What would it feel like to be made love to by a God?

Lily lifted her hands, pulling the hat free from his head, she let it fall to the floor, her lips covering his, kissing him back eagerly. Wanting him to know that she accepted him, the same way he accepted her. Kisuke chuckled against her lips, allowing the tip of his tongue to flick playfully against her lips. Lily opened her mouth, giving him access.

Kisuke took full advantage, sliding his tongue deep to play with hers. Lily wrapped her arms around his shoulders, her left hand holding onto the back of his neck while her right gripped a handful of his shaggy blonde hair. Pulling slightly, she forced him to tilt his head to deepen the kiss. Kisuke allowed it, giving her what she craved, his sinful tongue plunging deep and sweeping across in an erotic dance.

Lily couldn't help the soft little moans that escaped. She felt dazed, almost intoxicated by him. His taste was unlike any other, hot and spicy, his scent, the raw musk of an aroused male filled her senses, making her body pulse with need. Lily clenched her thighs together in an effort not to squirm against him. She wanted to pull at her own clothing, to bare her skin to his large hands and fall back onto the bed in pure surrender. Kisuke pulled back, nipping at her lips before he spoke against them.

"Do you trust me, Lily?"

"Yes!" She panted the answer without hesitation, she was lost to him, lost in his kiss. His hands hadn't even started to explore her and yet, she craved them on her skin. To feel his heat envelop her body. She wanted him more than anything.

Kisuke pulled back farther, keeping his gaze on hers he lifted the messenger bag from her shoulder. Lily sat back, feeling a bit dumbstruck, she still had that on? Kisuke smiled at her, keeping his intense gaze on hers as he let the bag fall to the floor. Strong lean fingers pulled at the buttons to her sweater, slowly easing them apart. With each button he freed he pressed small teasing kisses to her lips, her neck, down to her collarbone.

Lily sat panting, waiting for him to bare her skin. Kisuke pulled the sweater down her shoulders and Lily lifted her arms, allowing him to strip her of the garment. His hands glided down her bare arms, before he grasped the hem of her t-shirt and began to pull. This time, Lily lifted her arms, enjoying the erotic feel of cotton being pulled across aroused skin.

Kisuke chuckled at her soft moan, his lips leaving a hot open-mouthed trail across the tops of her exposed breasts. She felt his fingers run a trail across her shoulder, then the give of her bra as he popped the clasp open with one hand. His head sunk lower as the light pink lace fell to the floor at her feet. Kisuke's hot breath fanned across her erect nipple, making her arch her back in invitation.

"Very nice…" Kisuke whispered lifting his right hand and sliding his palm between the valley of her breasts. Lily didn't fight him when he pressed against her chest lightly guiding her down onto the bed. She went willingly, allowing him to guide her higher on the bed. Kisuke grasped one ankle in his hand, removing the ballet flat from her left foot, then the right.

Keeping her right ankle in his hand he leaned forward, pressing a kiss to her inner ankle. Lily lay there, panting with anticipation as she watched him. Kisuke met her gaze before leaning down, with one hand he gripped the waistband of her jeans then popped the button free before using both hands to grab and pull the denim from her thick thighs.

His gaze lowered, watching as her bare skin came into view. He wasn't moving with urgency, instead he peeled the jeans from her slowly, as if savoring the unwrapping of a coveted gift. Lily lifted her hips, allowing the fabric to slide down her backside, slowly, she felt the rough drag of the denim against her skin and she realized he was using her clothing as a way to stimulate her.

Kisuke grinned down at her, letting her jeans fall to the floor with the rest of her clothing. Lily lay there, feeling exposed, but enjoying the gleam in his intense eyes as he stared down at her. Kisuke licked his lips before shrugging out of the dark green half robe he wore over his lighter green Kimono.

Lily lay there, transfixed by the man's slow teasing movements. Revealing his skin to her inch by precious inch. When he stood above her in nothing but the bottoms of his Kimono he leaned his muscled body down on the bed. Crawling on hands and knees he caged her body underneath his, his gaze meeting hers as he lingered above her.

"How much do you trust me, Lily?" Kisuke's husky voice asked, his gaze filled with so much heat it sent a shiver of raw desire throughout her body, making her arousal pool beneath the pink panties she still wore. She'd never felt herself grow so wet waiting for a man to touch her.

"Whatever you want, Kisuke." Lily managed to answer.

Kisuke lifted a brow, the playful gleam in his gaze returning at her brazen invitation.

"Anything? Are you sure about that? I wouldn't want my intensity to overwhelm you." Kisuke teased.

"Oh, I think I can handle it!" Lily countered, her own playfulness coming forward.

"I sure hope so." Kisuke grinned.

Lily watched him go up to his knees, turning, he leaned over the foot of the bed and grabbed at the robe he had discarded. It took Lily a minute to figure out what he was doing, but then her breath caught in her chest when she realized his intention.

"Is this okay?" Kisuke asked, leaning closer to her.

Lily nodded, unable to speak from the sheer delight of the suggestion.

"Lift your hands over your head." Kisuke instructed her softly, leaning down to float light whisper kisses across her stomach.

Lily complied, lifting her arms and placing her hands above her head. Kisuke leaned in closer, wrapping the soft green fabric around each wrist and tying it into a tight, yet, comfortable knot. It wasn't that he didn't want her to touch him, at least she didn't think so, it was more about him wanting to give her pleasure without the distraction of her touch on his skin. He wanted her to take what he wanted to give. And from the look in his eyes, he wanted to give a lot.

"I'm right here with you, Lily. If I do something you don't like, all you have to do is tell me and I'll stop." Kisuke assured her, feathering his lips against hers, keeping his body elevated above her, not allowing his skin to come into contact with hers.

The action was almost like torture! He hadn't even began to explore her with his hands and yet, she lay there, nipples hard little peaks, her core soaking her panties. Lily didn't even have to tell him she wanted him, the satisfied grin that spread across his lips told her he already knew she was burning for him.

"You don't need these anymore…" Kisuke teased her, sliding his fingers under the pink lace of her panties and slowly pulling them down her hips, all the way down her legs and off the foot of the bed. Kisuke hovered his mouth above her belly button allowing his hot breath to tease the skin. When her stomach muscles rippled in reaction he darted his tongue, licking a full hot, wet, circle.

Lily moaned, just now understanding what he had planned. He was going to tease her without mercy, control every aspect of her arousal, her pleasure and she was going to die from the ecstasy of it all.

"Kisuke…" Lily panted his name, allowing her eyes to close as his lips kissed a trail across her pelvis, sliding down lower to nip at the sensitive skin of her hip. Lily lifted her head from the bed, looking down between her thighs to watch him.

Kisuke lifted his head, meeting her gaze, the smile so wicked upon his face for a minute she wondered if the man wasn't Lucifer himself...

"How do you like to be touched? Slow and easy?" He asked, allowing the palm of his hand to cup her mound, slowly grinding his palm against her closed lips.

"Oh, god!" Lily panted, he was going straight to her pussy.

"Hard and fast?" Kisuke whispered, speeding up the pressure of his hand against her sensitive slit.

"Kisuke!" Lily grunted his name, her body squirming from the friction, making her generous breasts sway with the movement. It seemed to catch his eye, bringing his attention to the hard little peaks of her nipples.

"Mmm. I wonder, do you like a little pain with your pleasure, Lily?" Kisuke asked casually.

"P-Pain?" Lily panted.

"These pretty little nipples you have here, they look a little bare…" Kisuke smiled, reaching his hand to pluck one of the hardened peaks with his fingers.

Lily's eyes widened at the meaning of his words. Did he have those!? I thought he'd never done this with a human before!

"W-why would you have those?" Lily asked, her arousal making her sound so breathless.

"I've always been curious about human sexuality. I have a little collection of items I've always wanted to experiment with." Kisuke explained, that sinister smile coming back. Lily knew he was pleased that she understood what he was suggesting.

Lily let the explanation sink in, really hearing what he was saying. He wanted to play with her, to experience all the things he'd been curious about; with her. He was asking her permission to give her pleasure, to have a little bit of control over that pleasure. Lily wasn't a novice when it came to sex, but she had to admit, she'd always been a little vanilla.

"Y-yes! Okay!" Lily nodded, allowing her own curiosity to give him permission.

With a shove of his hands, Kisuke lifted himself from the bed. His right hand lowering to stroke against his rock hard erection just once. His own arousal was intense, but he found that he liked building it up. He wanted to play with Lily, to watch her body as he brought her to new heights. He finally had a woman as eager to explore sexuality as he was.

Kisuke crossed the room in two quick strides, bending down he lifted the lid to a large ceder chest and pulled a small wooden box from inside. His hand shook from raw excitement as he grasped it. Turning, he walked back over to the waiting woman in his bed. Lily's head was lifted, watching him walk back to her with the box in hand. Her heavy lidded gaze filling with curiosity.

Kisuke bent on his knees on the foot of the bed, laying the box next to her right hip, he opened the small lid and pulled a purple satin pouch from within. He met her gaze as he pulled the string loose and tipped the contents into his hand. Lily licked her lips, her gaze lowering down to his hand, the silver gleamed in the overhead light.

Slowly, Kisuke leaned over her body, bracing himself on his left hand. Lily gasped as he caught her left nipple with his hot mouth, sucking and licking the taut bud ruthlessly. Lily moaned, squirming as the raw heat spread across her chest, the deep ache pulsing between her thighs with each tug of his mouth. Kisuke pulled back admiring the hard coral peak of her nipple. Without hesitation Kisuke lifted the silver nipple clamp and pinched it open. Meeting her gaze, he allowed it to close over the sensitive tip.

"Ahhh!" Lily called out, her back arching.

"Easy…just breathe…" Kisuke encouraged her.

Lily panted, feeling the pressure of the metal clamping her nipple hard, the blood flowing to the surface of the hard peak, the sensation making her core pulse and weep with more arousal. Kisuke dipped his head, taking the right nipple into his mouth. Lily tipped her head back, her eyes rolling from the sheer bliss. It was so intense, but so damn good!

Lily whimpered as he sucked her nipple, only to pull back and nip at the tip before clasping the second clamp to the hard little bud. Lily lay there, eyes closed, lips parted, her chest heaving. The pressure was almost painful, but not quite, it felt surprisingly…good. Kisuke paused for a couple minutes, allowing her to get used to the pressure.

"Yes or No, Lily?" Kisuke whispered to her, making her open her heavy lidded eyes and look up at him as he hovered above her.

"Yes!" Lily panted, her lips lifting into a smile.

Kisuke let out a low groan as he watched her nibble her lower lip. Leaning down he took her mouth in a swift hard kiss, plunging his tongue into her heat, only to pull back and nip her lip himself. Lily panted against his lips, her arms moving restlessly above her head, her hips rocked from the bed with impatience.

"I want to do more, can you handle it?" Kisuke whispered.

Lily whimpered as she nodded her head, showing him just how aroused he had manged to make her. She was so full of desire she was almost incoherent, as if he had drugged her with pleasure. Kisuke grinned once more, enjoying her reaction. She was a gift, simple as that.

Kisuke lowered himself down to her right side, allowing his hand to slowly caress around the curve of her breast, ignoring the chain that connected the nipple clamps completely. Slowly he caressed a circle over her stomach, watching the muscles twitch and release. Lily was so responsive, it made his cock jerk just watching her.

Slowly, he allowed his palm to cup her mound, hissing a breath, he let his eyes close. She was so wet! So ready for him it almost forced him to end their play early, but he wanted to give her as much as he could. This was her first time with him and he wanted her to remember it forever.

Kisuke allowed his fingers to slide into her soaked folds, grazing the sensitive skin with soft pets of his fingertips. Lily moaned, her legs shaking as she lifted them, bending her knees and splaying her legs wide for him. A show of just how aroused she really was. For a woman to be so wanton, it was quite the compliment.

Kisuke glanced up at her face, enjoying the pleasure he saw there, the raw need in her heated gaze. With another grin, he slid his body down, settling himself between her spread thighs. He looked down upon the soft triangle of dark hair and gave into the urge to kiss it. His hot breath fanning across her spread lips while his hand spread her moisture. With the pad of his finger he teased a circle over her little clit.

Lily moaned, turning her head and sighing from the sensation. Kisuke dipped his head lower, pulling the hard little bud into his mouth, sucking against her clit softly. Kisuke felt her leg muscles tighten, the harsh pants of her breath. Kisuke tasted her, allowing his tongue to wonder down her slit, stopping at her core, he pushed his tongue deep inside her.

"Ugh!" Lily grunted, her body rocking against his mouth. Another deep moan filled the room and Kisuke knew the nipple clamps had moved when she squirmed. Lily rocked harder against him, her heavy groans like music to his ears, she was everything he had ever wanted and more. Perfect.

Kisuke lifted his head, taking her clit back into his mouth and flicking against the tip hungrily while two fingers filled her squeezing core. Lily let out a whimper, her body rocking into his movement. Slowly, he pulled his fingers from her, sliding the moisture down lower, between her cheeks. Lily gasped, feeling the tips of his fingers probe the puckered circle of her ass.

"Kisuke!" Lily panted his name, her body trembling as he gently filled her ass with the tip of one finger.

Kisuke lifted his head to look up at her from between her thighs.

"Yes or No, Lily?" he asked again.

"Fuck! Yes!" Lily panted with her excitement.

"Finger, or something else? I have more toys if you wish…" Kisuke offered lazily plunging his fingertip into her tight ass.

Lily blinked, trying to clear her head from the haze of sensation. Her nipples throbbed and burned a little, but it was too good to remove the clamps. His finger! God, his finger, and that wicked tongue!

"T-toy!" Lily gasped, hoping she wasn't going to regret the combination of sensations, having her ass filled, her nipples clamped and his tongue on her clit would be an intense combination. The man was kinky as hell, but she wouldn't have traded a minute of the experience. He was wonderful, caring, and attentive, asking her all the right questions to make her feel safe.

Kisuke chuckled.

"I think you'll enjoy this. It might be pretty intense, so you'll have to tell me if it becomes too much. Can you do that for me, My Lily?" Kisuke asked.

Lily forced herself to answer him.

"Yes, Kisuke. Anything you want…give me everything!" Lily begged him.

Kisuke pulled his finger tip free from her, smiling when her core pulsed, letting him see her need. Coming up to his knees, he grabbed a couple more items from the box. Lily looked up at him, confused for a minute as she felt him slide what looked like a small harness over her thighs.

Kisuke laughed.

'Don't worry…" He assured her securing the small butterfly against her clit before pressing the small button on the top of it's head.

"I actually made this one myself." Kisuke smirked.

Lily cried out from the pleasure of the vibrating little butterfly. Her eyes locking with his has he watched her core pulse as if already of the verge of coming. Kisuke lifted the butterfly from her clit, smirking up at her deviously.

"Kisuke!" Lily grunted, squirming only to increase the throbbing of her nipples.

"Not quite yet, My Lily." Kisuke teased her.

"Ohhh…god…" Lily moaned when he allowed the vibe to touch against her clit once more. Lily realized it was like a harness, but it was designed to keep the stimulation in place and didn't block entry to her core. What a devious kinky flirt! He made his own sex toy and he was using it to wring out every ounce of pleasure he could pull from her body.

Lily's legs jerked, making her heavy breasts sway from the movement as he slipped a rather small plug into her core,it was the size of his finger, and felt smooth. Kisuke let it sit there for a few seconds before pumping it into her core slowly. Too slow to let her come. Her stomach muscles twitched, her thighs shook, and her moans came out in heavy breathy pants.

It was almost too much, but not enough at the same time. She wanted to come so bad she was almost ready to beg for it, but she wanted to feel more, she wanted to give him everything. Closing her eyes, Lily braced herself for what came next. Knowing he was about to use that small plug on her ass. Just the thought of it made her core pulse, threatening to make her come. Kisuke pulled it free from her then, teasing the opening of her ass with the smooth head, spreading her arousal over the puckered circle.

Lily gasped when he finally allowed it to penetrate her. Slowly, he allowed it to sink into her, her body pulling it deep inside as if drinking in the pleasure. The small circle at the base prevented it from sinking too deep, giving him something to hold onto while he teased her with short slow thrusts.

Lily's body bowed, the combination of his toy box pushing her into an unknown world of sensations. So good it was almost painful. With each sway of her breasts her clamped nipples throbbed, her clit fluttered against the vibrations as he slowly plunged the plug into her ass. Every part of her but one, was being claimed, pleasured with such tenderness.

"Kisuke! Please!" Lily panted.

"What do you need?" Kisuke asked her, his husky voice making her body shudder.

"I want to come!" Lily pleaded with him, she didn't know if she would be able to take much more of his sweet torment.

Kisuke chuckled, allowing the plug to lay flush against her skin, filling her up with the pressure. Lily moaned as he went to his knees, and let his bottoms fall, then lifted up, kicking them from his ankles. Lily's gaze locked on his thick hard cock. He was so ready, beads of pre-cum ran down the thick crown. Lily licked her lips in reaction. He was beautiful, this devious, wonderful man!

"You still want everything? I can lesson the sensations a little if you need it." Kisuke offered as he gripped her thighs in his large hands and pulled her legs over his thighs, staying on his knees. Lily trembled with the anticipation.

"No! I want it all!" Lily pleaded with him, not wanting to give up anything. It was too much…it wasn't enough!

Kisuke leaned over her body, stretching her legs wider, the pressure of his body pushed the little butterfly sung against her clit, making her cry out in pure rapture. Lily felt his warm fingers on the knot around her wrists and it took her a minute to understand. He wanted her freed while he was inside her, he was ready for her touch.

Lily pulled her hands from the cloth, shaking them out a little before she reached for him, the movement of her upper body causing her nipples to thrum with sensation. Lily wrapped her arms around his shoulders, her nails digging into his skin as the head of his cock aligned with her core. With slow even thrusts she felt herself stretch around his girth, then pull him in deep inside her needy body.

Kisuke kept his body propped up on his hands, his knees spread while her legs hung over his thighs, her body was spread eagle, pinned into the mattress as he filled her with his thick cock. Kisuke let out a grunt, his jaw clenching from his own pleasure. The wait had been worth it, knowing that she so close would give him just enough time to make her come.

Kisuke could feel the vibration of the little butterfly sung against her clit, his groin pressed against the plug deep inside her ass as he pulled back only to plunge into her tight heat. Lily gasped, her eyes going wide as he plunged forward once more.

"Kisuke! Kisuke!" Lily panted his name, her hands moving to roam over his shoulders, nails grazing skin as he found his rhythm. Lily lifted her hips, trying to meet his thrusts. The rocking of their bodies pushing the vibe and plug into perfect alignment. Lily's legs shook, her chest heaving with every breath. Kisuke smiled down at her, locking his gaze with hers as he finally took his own pleasure with her. Lily dug her nails into his flesh, the heat of his body pressed into her gave her comfort among the storm of sensations. He was with her, every step of the way, trying his best to heighten every sensation. Lily could feel her core clenching around him as he bucked his hips, his thrust's increasing in speed and tempo as he sought to give her release.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Lily panted with each of his hard thrusts, his cock completing the symphony of sensations.

Just as she was about to fall over the edge of ecstasy, Kisuke lifted his right hand, gripping the chain between her breasts and pulled. Lily screamed from the intensity of pleasure. The act making her core pull tight against his cock, her ass squeezed around the plug while her clit fluttered around the little butterfly.

Kisuke plunged into her harder, pulling the little chain in time with his strokes, making her toe's curl against his calves. Lily cried out as her body tipped over, her core pulsing around him, violently milking his length. Kisuke tipped his head back, the grin on his face almost more of a reward than the orgasm pulsing throughout her body. Almost.

Lily panted from the release, calling out his name, his gaze locking with hers as his thrusts became jerky, gritting his teeth, he hissed out a breath as he spilled deep inside her, never looking away. Lily felt her body bow under his weight, her spine lifting from the mattress as her own orgasm morphed into another, making her scream his name from the intensity.

Kisuke fell against her, his body coming against hers. His hands lifting to cup her face as she continued to come against his cock. Kisuke's body trembled against her as he watched her, drinking in her pleasure like a man starving.

Lily let out a whimper, every muscle in her body going lax as she fell back against the bed. Kisuke reached between them, pulling the harness free from her thighs, before the pleasure turned into pain. Lily lay there, her chest heaving from the exertion of their lovemaking. Her head felt heavy, inside she felt as if she were spinning, waves of euphoria swimming freely.

Kisuke pushed himself up onto his knees once more. Caressing her stomach with strong hands and making his way up to her breasts.

"This might hurt…" Kisuke warned her, his sated voice making her smile up at him.

When the first clamp released from her swollen nipple she cursed.

"Fuck!"

"Breathe, Lily. All the blood is rushing back to that beautiful nipple. I'll give you a minute before I remove the other one." Kisuke assured her, his voice so soothing. Lily allowed her eyes to slide shut, panting deeply as he caressed the freed breast gently.

"Ready?" Kisuke asked.

Lily gritted her teeth before nodding. The damn things felt amazing during, but removal was a little harsh. Not enough to make her regret using them though. She would do it again, Hell, she would beg for them to be used again.

Kisuke soothed her as he removed the final clamp, lowering his mouth to kiss across her jaw, the sides of her lips, then her mouth. Lily wrapped her arms around his neck, trapping him with her arms and mouth. Kisuke chuckled against her lips before sinking down against her, giving her his full weight as he kissed her back. Lily moaned, pulling back from him in order to look into his eyes. The pressure of the plug was still strangely pleasant, but her body was growing sensitive after so much simulation.

"Oh, I almost forgot, I have one more to remove, don't I?" Kisuke chuckled, going back to his knees to assist her.

The removal was easier then the clamps, thankfully, she didn't even feel the slightest pinch of pain there, but her damn nipples were still throbbing, greedily taking in the natural blood flow. Kisuke set the toys aside, knowing he would clean them later. Right now, Lily needed him to take care of her.

"How do you feel, Lily?" Kisuke asked, laying next to her on the bed, his large hand caressing her stomach.

Lily shook her head, her breath still coming out ragged. She didn't know if she could even speak a coherent sentence. Never in her life had she ever experienced such pleasure.

"Lily, Sweetheart. I need you to talk to me." Kisuke insisted.

"I'm…fine…" She managed to pant her answer.

"That's good. Go ahead and catch your breath now." Kisuke smiled down at her, his hand caressing her soft skin as he waited for her to come down form the high he'd given her. He hadn't expected the multiple orgasm, but he wasn't going to complain, in fact, he'd been elated. Her pleasure was precious to him, just as she was. His beautiful Lily.

Minutes passed as they lay entwined with one another. Eventually, Lily could once again speak, even though her voice did sound a little raspy when she turned to him and asked the question on her mind.

"Is being a Fullbringer a bad thing?"

Kisuke opened his eyes, his lips lifting into a half smile.

"Not at all. You're still human, but with a little more…spark." Kisuke teased.

Lily half-laughed, then held her breath, her nipples were still rather tender, she had the feeling she was going to feel what they had done together even a couple days from now.

"I don't want you to worry about it. It won't be hard to control once you've gotten the proper training, and lucky for you, you're already close to another one who has that kind of power." Kisuke continued.

Lily blinked, her head tilting to the side.

"Who?" She pressed.

Kisuke smiled fully, showing perfect white teeth.

"Ichigo."

"No way! You're telling me my boss is a Fullbringer too?" Lily yelped.

"Among other things…yes. His situation is a bit more…complicated." Kisuke answered.

"I think I'm starting to understand why he looked so disapproving. Is he afraid that I'll find out about him?" Lily asked.

"Possibly. With Ichigo, you never really now until you ask him. He can be a little stubborn." Kisuke answered.

Lily smiled warmly, turning her body into his side and sliding her hand to lay against his heart.

"So, what happens now?" Lily whispered, looking into his half lidded gaze.

"Now? I take that blood sample that I asked for before and run some tests to make sure my hunch is accurate. Once I get the positive results, we'll go to Ichigo together." Kisuke stated.

Lily nodded slowly, her smile still on her lips. Never in her life had she ever imagined that with one sentence a man could ease all of her pent up worries. Lily had felt trapped within her own body for so long, it felt nice to let go and share the burden with a willing partner. The best part, was she knew she wasn't crazy!

"When do you want to take the sample?" Lily continued.

Kisuke chuckled, wrapping her warm body up tight in his arms, Lily didn't protest, instead, she curled up with him, feeling content.

"Later, Sweetheart. For now, let's just enjoy each other for a little while longer." Kisuke whispered against the top of her head before pressing a kiss into her hair.

Lily sighed, feeling like the cat who got the cream, all of her thoughts seemed to float away and her body relaxed into his, her eyes drifted closed and before she realized it, she drifted off to sleep, knowing that no matter what happened, Kisuke would be there to catch her if she fell.

Kisuke held Lily tightly in his arms, his smile warm as he looked down at her sleeping face. His greatest hope had been delivered to him after all these years of waiting and he had no intention of letting her slip through his fingers. While he wasn't sure if love was responsible for the emotions gripping his chest, he knew that in time, it would all become clearer.

For now, the trust they had given each other today was enough to build upon. The thought of spending his days with the woman lying in his arms made his chest swell with pride, and for the first time in his six hundred odd years, Kisuke Urahara realized, he didn't need to have all the answers right now, sometimes it was okay to let the universe guide him, after all, it had brought her to him, hadn't it?
