You are cordially invited to the wedding of Charles Benjamin James and Molly Louise Dawes
Molly looked down at the invite that she had had in her purse and smiled to herself as she sat at the dressing table as her family ran around the room losing their heads in the frenzy of what was her and Charles' wedding day. She took a deep breath before she looked in the mirror and let everything in.
Adam and Sam were with Charles, Elvis was the best man and Georgie and Molly's sisters were bridesmaids and her dad was in a proper suit, she made sure of it. Her stomach was feeling a little fluttery and she wasn't sure if it was nerves or the breakfast she had eaten prior to all of this. She simmed on the champagne that had been supplied with the room, they were getting married in this beautiful country home.
It was expensive but so worth it.
Over in Charles' room he was trying his hardest to do his tie and wasn't having a luck but that might be down to the fact he was nervous and he wasn't afraid to admit that "Charlie, calm, she's down the hall there is no way that she's going to run away, here let me get that" Elvis walked over and helped him with his tie.
"I know, mate, but I just don't want anything to go wrong, you have done your speech right? and got the rings?"
Elvis grinned at him "The speech is all done and the rings are in the pocket so don't worry everything is all in hand" he heard Charlie let out a sigh of relief, he really didn't have anything to worry about when it comes to this wedding. Nothing was going to go wrong.
They headed down to the room where they were getting married and greeted the guests and Elvis was sure he could see Charlie look around for signs of something going wrong but there weren't any. Everything was going fine and Molly wasn't going to run out on him. She loved him as much as he loved her and there was no way that this wedding wasn't going to go ahead.
Molly felt here heart pounding hard in her chest and as they walked down the stairs she stopped them at the bottom and held on to her dad's arm.
"You alright, love?" he asked and watched her. A smile pulling at Dave's lips.
"Just nervous" she admitted and they waited there for a moment before she finally nodded and they carried on walking. Georgie and the girls were behind her but they would be going in first.
They got to the hall that they had hired out for the wedding and the doors were shut, Georgie and the others went in first. Elvis said to Charles about how beautiful Georgie looked and he had to agree but no one would look as beautiful as his own wife to be. So when he saw Molly and Dave walking through the door he grinned at her, and was actually taken aback with how beautiful she did look in that dress. This time was so much more better than marrying her the first time around.
Those six months apart had been so damn worth it to see her now. His Molly, his beautiful wife and the mother to one of his boys. Rebecca was here too sitting amongst the guests, the two getting on a lot better than when they had seen each other that first time in Birmingham when he had been shot.
Two Section was here too, they were in their dress uniforms and even Brains and Fingers were here both guys had recovered well and with a bit of rehab they will be able to rejoin the section in a few months time.
Nothing came of what happened in Syria which he was glad about but also surprised because he had wanted the book throwing at him, Charles wanted to not get away with it but he found that his guys would stick by him no matter what.
Molly and Dave came to the altar and Charles couldn't stop smile and told her that she looked amazing and once Dave had gave him Molly's hand he went to sit down with Belinda who was handing out tissues.
They faced each other and said their vows and exchanged rings, both new ones, and then the kiss happened and a whistle went up from Elvis who was patting his best friend on the back, Elvis winking at his own wife.
The reception happened and the room was full of food and laughter when Elvis was doing his speech about all the adventures that he and Charlie had got up to along the way. He finished his speech with something that went like this "Molly and Charlie, please don't roll your eyes Mrs James, two people who found each other again and made everyone believe that true love really does exist, two people who deserve the world and I truly believe that they have found that in each other once again, so please everyone raise your glasses to Charles and Molly"
The room then raised their glasses and they said in unison "To Charles and Molly"
Once all the food was done they had a break before the evening do started and Molly was still in her wedding dress while both Elvis and Charles had loosen their ties and discarded their jackets in their rooms. The first dance happened to the sound of Kodalines The One Charles was singing along to it while they danced.
That's why I know you are the one
Life is easy to be scared of
With you I am prepared for what is yet to come
'Cause our two hearts will make it easy
Joining up the pieces, together making one
With Charles having been in the Army for a long time he was now ready for what was next and with Molly at his side he knew that he could do it. It might seem scary but he didn't care as long as she was there with him, walking that path.
"Elvis is right you know" Charles whispered to her.
"Right about what?"
"All is well in the world"
